Title: What Is a Private Day Trip from Shinjuku to Lake Kawaguchiko and Mount Fuji Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from North America for a private tour to the Lake Kawaguchiko area and Mount Fuji. Because it was a Sunday during a three-day weekend, I had asked the guests to purchase round-trip express bus tickets between Shinjuku and Kawaguchiko Station in advance, so we were able to travel comfortably with reserved seats both ways. Public transportation such as buses is not very convenient around the Fuji Five Lakes area, so I was grateful that the guests readily agreed to use taxis when the bus waiting times were long. From morning to evening, the weather was fine and we enjoyed beautiful views of Mount Fuji, and the guests also enjoyed lunch at a soba restaurant renovated from a traditional old house. It turned out to be a wonderful day.

What Is a Private Tour of Hiroshima and Miyajima Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a kind and thoughtful group visiting Japan for the first time from Oceania. They chose Hiroshima and Miyajima as the final destination of a two-week journey. As the season was the opposite of that in their home region, it was a particularly cold day, yet both Itsukushima Shrine on Miyajima and the interior of the Peace Memorial Museum were crowded with groups of Japanese visitors. Out of consideration for the wish to return to the hotel earlier and rest, I had to conclude the tour two hours ahead of schedule, which I felt apologetic and a little disappointed about. However, they reassured me by saying, "We enjoyed it plenty, so it's fine!" and I felt relieved to be able to say goodbye with a hug at the end.

I had been teaching at a local university in Hiroshima. After I got retired in March 2023, I started guiding. I was born and raised in Hiroshima. I always hope that our guests will take away lots of positive energy from Hiroshima, a city that was resilient and revived like a phoenix, in spite of its sad history.
While realizing customers’ wishes, I will introduce you the beauty of Hiroshima, Miyajima and so on, which are tranquil and peaceful places with a unique charm that cannot be found in big cities.

Osaka Private Walking Tour Report: What Can a Licensed Guide Show You in One Day, from Osaka Castle to Umeda? The guests were from Oceania, and everything went very smoothly throughout the day. Today happened to be the day of the annual "Osaka Marathon," whose start and finish were at Osaka Castle, one of today's visiting spots, so traffic was restricted not only around Osaka Castle but across a fairly wide area of the city. However, there were no major delays on public transportation. During the visit to Osaka Castle, we experienced snowfall for the first time in several years. The guests seemed to enjoy the snow, which is rarely seen in their home region. At the Umeda Sky Building, they purchased their own personal seals (with their English names rendered in kanji characters) as souvenirs. At Tennoji Station, they sampled the popular "taiyaki," and they also bought various sweets at a specialty pastry and cookie shop in Umeda, Osaka, that they had requested to visit in advance. The guests were both very strong walkers; they had explored a wide area around their hotel the previous evening, and today they planned to walk from Tennoji to "Tsutenkaku" after the tour. (They had originally said they would walk from Tennoji through Nipponbashi back to their hotel, but since that was quite a long distance, I advised against it and recommended "Tsutenkaku" instead.)

    Dear my guests,

This is (Mr.) Yama, greeting from Kobe, Japan.
I would like to warmly welcome you to Japan this time. I am from the city of Kobe, which is of course, well-known for very tasty Kobe Beef . You can taste
real genuine Kobe Beef here. Kobe is also called “Home of Japanese Sake” with lots of Sake breweries, and I recommend you would visit those breweries
if you have any interest in Japanese Sake as well as one aspect of Japanese cultures. Of course, you can have tastings of various kinds of Sake there.

Whenever during the tour, I always try to make it safe, pleasant and comfortable for all of the guests, which is my first priority. I am very much confident
that you can have a pleasant and unforgettable experience in Japan. Just tell me about your preference; what you would like to like to see, have, know
and eat and so on. Particularly, I hold the license for cooking qualified by the government here and maybe, I can reply you for questions related to the
foods here. In this respect, I strongly recommend you would try not only famous Japanese cuisine such as Sushi, Tempura or Suki-yaki but some
Japanese traditional local foods, like Tako-yaki, Okonomi-yaki and Kushkatsu. They are sometimes called the soul foods of Japan. Here is the brief
    explanation for these three foods.

    1) Tako-yaki
Tako-yaki is a snack filled with pieces of octopus in a batter of flour , egg and soup stock. You can call them octopus dumplings or balls. “Tako” means
octopus and “yaki” means grilled or broiled.
    2) Okonomi-yaki
This word Okonomi-yaki means “cook just as you like” and you can use whatever you like as toppings, such as beef, pork, shrimp, squid and octopus.
Okonomi-yaki is round shape and just like pancakes or pizza in shape mainly made from egg, flour and water.
    3) Kushi-katsu
Kushi-katsu is skewered cutlet or deep-fried foods on a stick. “Kushi” means skewer and “katsu” means cutlet. Various kinds of foods are used for
ingredients such as beef, pork, chicken, shrimp, squid, octopus and lots of kinds of vegetables.

Actually, the western Japan including Osaka, Kobe and Himeji is called as “Home of such local soul foods”. You should give it a try and I am sure
that you like them very much.

I sincerely hope that I can be your tour guide this time in Kobe, Osaka and Himeji. If my guests said to me after the tour, “I have had a very good
and pleasant time with you today. I hope I can come here again and name you as our guide”, which is my great pleasure. Moreover, I would be
great honored if they say “I like Japan now thanks to you”.

Looking forward to meeting you soon here.
    Doomo Arigato Gozaimasu!

What Does a Private Day Tour of Kyoto Include? A Licensed Guide's Report on Fushimi Inari, Arashiyama, and Nijo Castle Although it was a very cold day, the guests were deeply moved by the vivid beauty of the Senbon Torii at Fushimi Inari Taisha, and at Arashiyama they enjoyed viewing the garden of Tenryu-ji Temple and strolling through the bamboo grove. For lunch at a restaurant, they savored the delicate flavors of Japanese cuisine, comparing each small dish one by one. At Nijo Castle, the guests showed a strong interest in its role as the place where the Tokugawa shogunate both began and ended, and they enjoyed experiencing the famous "nightingale floors," which they had known about in advance. They also actively asked questions about Japanese Buddhism and Shinto, as well as the shogun and the imperial system, and the group showed a deep interest in history and culture.

    # What's a Private Sake Brewery Tour in Nada, Kobe Like? A Licensed Guide's Report Staying in Kyoto, the guests had a day full of sake: after a morning visit to the Suntory Yamazaki Distillery, the afternoon was dedicated to touring the sake breweries of Nada. After meeting at Sumiyoshi Station (a little later than planned), we visited the museums of Hakutsuru Sake Brewery and Kikumasamune Sake Brewery. I explained how sake is made, using the museums' videos along with my own handout materials (excerpts of visual aids I had prepared). After buying some sake and goods as souvenirs, we moved to Motomachi. Since the guests wished to have Kobe beef for dinner, I made a restaurant reservation. As we had a little time to spare, we strolled through Meriken Park. After the walk, I guided them to the restaurant and took my leave there.

What's a Private Tokyo Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Tokyo Station, Asakusa, and Ginza Upon arriving at the Hotel, it appeared that the tour may have been double-booked, as there was a dispute happening over the phone with another guide. I was asked to take over the call and spoke with a guide from another company. While the issue could not be fully resolved over the phone, we began the tour. We first went to Tokyo Station, where the guests admired the beauty of its architecture. At Asakusa I provided various explanations, and since one of the guests took notes enthusiastically, guiding them was a pleasure for me as well. To finish, I had them try Denki Bran at Kamiya Bar, then took them to Ginza where we parted ways.

Title: What Is a Private One-Day Kyoto Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Kinkaku-ji, Nijo Castle, and Arashiyama The guests visited Japan from North America. Since one of the guests needed extra care, I continually alerted them to watch their footing and the stairs throughout the tour. They arrived about 15 minutes late to the meeting point at Kyoto Station, and were also late returning after a short break, so the schedule became tight. From Kitano-Hakubaicho to Kinkaku-ji, and then from Kinkaku-ji to Nijo Castle, we discussed the options and decided to use a taxi. Thanks to that, we managed to enter Nijo Castle just before closing and I was able to give a full guided tour there. It was a national holiday and a Sunday, so there were large crowds. Kyoto Station in particular was extremely crowded. Every site we visited had noticeably more domestic tourists than on a weekday. The guests seemed interested in samurai and ninja, and appeared very fascinated by Nijo Castle. After Nijo Castle, I assisted them until they returned to their hotel by taxi. The photo was taken at the bamboo grove in Arashiyama.

I was born and grew up in Kyoto and now live near Fushimi Inari Shrine in Kyoto. I used to be a schoolteacher of English and welcome a lot of students from foreign countries. I really enjoyed showing them around Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, Himeji, and Hiroshima. I have been a professional tour guide for about 8 years. I always try to let my guests learn Japanese traditional and modern culture. Since I was born in Kyoto, I know a lot about its culture and people. I myself enjoyed several sports, such as soccer, judo, and marathon when I was young. I’m much interested in baseball and sumo. My motto as a tour guide is to let my guests learn about our tradition and culture precisely and really enjoy themselves. I strongly hope you will enjoy the tour in Japan with me.

What Is a Private Kyoto Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report Today's guests were a group visiting from North America. Since they would be returning home in May, they had invited some of their relatives to join a tour of Kyoto, Osaka, and Nara during their stay in Japan. They had sightseen in Osaka yesterday and in Kyoto today, but they were surprised by the crowds and mentioned that they would have liked to enjoy the sightseeing at a more relaxed pace. Even so, they enjoyed a bowl of Tenkaippin ramen for lunch and savored the flavor, saying it was a taste they could not find where they came from. They plan to visit Nara tomorrow.

Title: What Is a Private Hired-Car Tour in Japan Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were part of a large global organization and came from various regions, including North America and Europe. As part of their work, they travel to destinations around the world, gathering information, holding meetings locally, and enjoying some travel along the way. Although they had visited Japan many times, they listened attentively and sincerely to my explanations, and were all very courteous and pleasant to be with. I found myself getting along especially well with one of the guests, and as we talked about many things, we ended up connecting so well that we were exchanging jokes and having fun together by the end. Today we traveled by hired car, and the driver was extremely helpful and made a great difference to the day. I am very grateful.

Hello, this is Kazu Akiyama, your tour guide. Nice to meet you and welcome to Japan. Thank you for joining me on the tour. Now I am a retired salaried worker, living in Osaka. I have been very much interested in not only learning Japanese history, culture, religion myself, but also talking about them (sometimes going off topics) in English with tourists from all over the world as well. I am so excited being with you as your guide on coming day! I am very much looking forward to you enjoying with me visiting the must-see places and some of the hidden gems. See you soon. Thank you – Kazu Akiyama

Title: What Is a Private Day Tour of Miyajima and Hiroshima Peace Park Like? A Licensed Guide's Report Tour Report Date: February 2025 Places visited: Miyajima, Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park Guests: The group Weather: Sunny Experiences: Itsukushima Shrine, worship etiquette : Daishoin Temple, kaidan-meguri (circuit of the dark underground passage) : Maple Road, stroll : Peace Memorial Park, silent prayer of remembrance Details: The group visited from North America. They were a very cheerful group whose conversation never paused, to the point that on the train there was some concern about the people around them. At Miyajima, an information center for the Miyajima Ropeway has opened in front of the port. Ropeway tickets can also be purchased there. However, please note that the ropeway stops operating on windy days, so caution is needed on this point.

Originally, I’m a cycling guide doing cycling tours all over Japan.
But, already done Hiroshima & Miyajima tour more than 400 times.
I traveled many countries in my younger days. I traveled Europe, US, China, India, US, Mexico, Peru Australia, NZ, and so on.
I decided to use this experience to become a guide.
I’m afraid but no tipping required, because cycling guides are not allowed to have tipping in my association. And you do not need to pay for my lunch, because my lunch is prepared by our group.
Please do not hesitate to ask me anything, I’ll change the plan according to your requests.
Thank you for your understanding and please stay connected.
