After meeting, I learned that the guests were visiting from North America, and the tour proceeded in a consistently cheerful atmosphere. At Meiji Shrine, the guests requested to learn the proper Shinto worship etiquette, and they practiced it themselves as I explained each step. Since the guests enjoyed shopping, I guided them leisurely along Takeshita Street, stopping into various shops along the way. We also strolled through Omotesando, browsing the shops, and the guests were delighted, saying they would definitely return to shop later. After confirming that Omohara Forest, which appeared in the agency's proposed itinerary, was not of interest to the guests, I instead took them to Shibuya PARCO to satisfy their interest in anime and shopping. I guided them through the floors before taking my leave. In advance, the agency had requested that the tour be completed within a maximum of 3 hours, taking into account the guests' subsequent schedule, with the following message: "We would like to know if this itinerary can be covered in 3 hours maximum, as we prefer not to exceed this time frame if possible. The client is on a very tight schedule :)"

    Title: What Is a Private Day Tour of Shizuoka Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Mount Fuji Views The guests were visiting Japan for the first time from North America, on a ten-day trip. Their itinerary began with arrival at Narita, then continued through Nagano, Toyama, Gifu, and Nagoya before visiting Shizuoka, with a return to Narita the following day. Shizuoka was their final destination. The guests were scheduled to arrive at Shizuoka Station at 9:00 via Nagoya from Gifu, so I waited at Shizuoka Station from 8:30. However, there was a problem with their bullet train ticket during the transfer at Nagoya, and they arrived late at 10:30. Keeping strictly to the six-hour guiding time, I shifted the schedule and ended at 17:00. Since the total time on duty increased, I would appreciate consideration regarding the fee if possible. In winter, Mount Fuji was clearly visible and the plum blossoms were in bloom. The guests enjoyed the refreshing air of Shizuoka.

    Title: What Is a Private Tokyo Tour of the Imperial Palace and Senso-ji Like? A Licensed Guide's Report Although I had sent greetings and a proposed itinerary through a booking platform, I never received a reply, so I approached the day with some anxiety. We finally met a little after the 9:00 meeting time, and after I explained the itinerary, we were able to start. The guests were visiting Japan from Europe for a trip. At the Imperial Palace and Senso-ji Temple, they asked questions each time I gave explanations about history and culture, and with a bit of humor mixed in, I felt they were genuinely interested and enjoyed themselves. At the very end, there was a surprising twist when I learned that raw fish was not an option, which gave me a bit of a scare. Since the sushi restaurant I have guided guests to several times also serves tempura, we settled on tempura and sushi respectively and parted ways in front of the restaurant.

    Title: What's a Private Day Tour of Tokyo Like from Tsukiji to Roppongi? A Licensed Guide's Report The guest was a visitor from North America, in Japan for the first time, having been invited to give a presentation at a specialized medical conference held in Yokohama. Making use of a free day before work, the guest enjoyed sightseeing in Tokyo. As the guest kindly shared past experience living in Africa for research purposes, I shared my own experience of having lived in Africa, and our conversation during the tour broadened to a wide range of topics, including Japan's declining birthrate and aging population and reforms to working styles in the medical field. The guest had been very much looking forward to lunch in Tsukiji, so we sat at the counter to enjoy watching the sushi being prepared. Saying "this is a rare chance," the guest ordered a premium nigiri set. One of the ingredients tried for the first time was "akagai" (red clam), and the chef kindly showed a large red clam still in its shell that had happened to be stocked for an evening reservation. The guest also tried "kohada" for the first time and was delighted, saying it was especially delicious. To earn appreciation from family, the guest sent photos taken in real time during the tour. Apparently the guest, who rarely takes photos, had been teased by family for this. The guest showed me a family photo and mentioned that the family loves Pokémon and games. So, in addition to the itinerary centered on the guest's own interests in Japanese history, culture, and gardens, I suggested adding places such as Harajuku's Takeshita Street and the Shibuya Scramble Crossing. The guest agreed, and upon visiting, took many photos, saying "the children would be thrilled to come here." The guest also made decisive choices when purchasing souvenirs. There were various items that had caught the guest's eye during the tour, but at Tokyo Midtown Roppongi, which I introduced as the final shopping spot, the guest purchased a three-dimensional Japanese-style pine paper craft, cute cat chopstick rests, and, splurging a little, some jewelry for family. Finally, wishing the guest success at work the next day, we said goodbye aboard the Toyoko Line train heading toward Minatomirai Station.

    Tour Itinerary

    • 11:00 Meet at Hotel. A total of 4 people: a couple from Atlanta, and the husband's father and mother from Qatar. We decided on the places to visit and headed to Shinjuku-gyoemmae on the Marunouchi Line.
    • 11:45-12:25 Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building North Tower Observation Deck. We were able to see Mt. Fuji clearly. After that, we moved to Meiji Shrine.
    • 12:50-14:00 Guided tour of Meiji Shrine. After that, we moved to Shibuya on the Yamanote Line.
    • 14:10-14:40 Guided tour of the Shibuya Scramble Crossing and Hachiko. Since they were hungry, we went for lunch.
    • 14:40-15:30 Lunch at the Hinai chicken yakitori restaurant "Hotei" in Shibuya Yokocho. We had planned to go to Asakusa afterward, but Mr. Asher, who had arrived in Tokyo from Atlanta the previous night, had become quite tired from jet lag, so we decided not to go to Asakusa and instead to tour Shinjuku, which is close to the hotel.
    • 15:50-16:35 We showed them the red and white plum blossoms in full bloom at Shinjuku Hanazono Shrine, and guided them through Golden Gai next to Hanazono Shrine. After that, since Mr. Asher was already quite sleepy, we walked 7 minutes to escort them to Citadines Tokyo where they were staying, and parted at 16:45.

    What's a Private Tokyo Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Shinjuku, Shibuya, and Fuji Views The guests were a group visiting from the Middle East. They had arrived in Tokyo the previous week, explored various places, and were then joined by other members of the group arriving from North America, with plans to head to Kyoto and Osaka afterward. They were able to walk energetically and were in good health, so the tour went smoothly. From the observation deck of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, Mount Fuji was clearly visible, which delighted them. In Shibuya, the guests said they were hungry and wanted lunch, so I asked what they would like to eat, and the reply was "yakitori" (laughs). I took them to "Hotei," a Hinai jidori chicken restaurant located in the Shibuya Yokocho area developed along the Yamanote Line, where everyone enjoyed beer while saying how delicious it was and finished all their food, so I was glad I had taken them there. Because the jet lag had become quite severe, we gave up on visiting Sensoji Temple, but since the guests had two more days to explore Tokyo on their own, I explained in detail how to get around. It was a very friendly group, and the tour had a pleasant atmosphere.

    Title: What Can You See on a Private One-Day Tokyo Tour? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from North America. One of them had been to Japan several times before but had done almost no sightseeing, while the trip was a first visit to Japan for the group. To begin by giving them background on Japanese culture, we headed to Meiji Shrine, where I explained the differences between Buddhism and Shinto and how each has influenced Japanese culture. They seemed especially interested in Shinto, purchasing an ema votive tablet to make a wish and experiencing the act of worship. On Takeshita Street, they were surprised and delighted by the unusual pop culture and the animal cafes. At the Imperial Palace, I explained the role and position of the Emperor, and they seemed intrigued to see the various preparations being made for the Emperor's Birthday, which would take place the day after next. After that we strolled to Tokyo Station, where I helped them purchase Shinkansen tickets for their trip to Kyoto the next day, and then we headed to Asakusa. Here too they seemed to enjoy the distinctive atmosphere of Japanese culture, and since they wished to explore more on their own, we concluded the tour at this point.

    What's a Private 6-Hour Tokyo Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Meiji Shrine, Tsukiji, and Asakusa The guests were visiting Japan for the first time from North America. They mentioned that because they can work online, they had moved to their current home, where the scenery is beautiful and skiing is easily accessible. The main purpose of this trip to Japan was also skiing, and they had already enjoyed skiing in Niseko, Hokkaido, before this Tokyo tour. They seemed to appreciate the solemn atmosphere of Meiji Shrine and the spacious grounds of the Imperial Palace, but what they enjoyed most during this Tokyo tour seemed to be sampling food while strolling around Tsukiji. They showed interest in all sorts of things that caught their eye and ate plenty, including sample bean snacks and dried squid. They had raw oysters, fried squid tempura, warm tamagoyaki, sweet potato chips, and tuna nigiri from two different shops. Although they did not go into a sushi restaurant, I believe they were satisfied. They also took plenty of photos everywhere we went. They said they would love to try Japanese curry rice as well. Afterward, at the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace, the plum blossoms were beginning to bloom, and they were very moved by how beautiful it was. In Asakusa, they ate mitarashi dango along Nakamise Street and remarked, "This is so delicious!" After I had shown them around Senso-ji Temple, exactly six hours had passed, so we parted at the Nitenmon Gate, allowing them to continue exploring on their own. They mentioned that the day after this tour, which is the day before they return home, they plan to enjoy teamLab Planets.

    Private Tokyo Walking Tour Report: What Can a Licensed Guide Show Visitors in a Day? The guests were visitors from the Middle East. One of the guests had visited Japan about ten years earlier, while it was the first visit to Japan for the other, and they had already spent about a week traveling in the Kansai region before this Tokyo tour. Perhaps because they come from a region surrounded by desert, at the first stop, the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace, they were captivated by the waterfall and pond in the Ninomaru Garden, and it was memorable to see them taking many photos of the plum blossoms beginning to bloom in red and white. They had few dietary restrictions, saying that anything except pork was fine, so we had lunch at a sushi restaurant in a new building in Shibuya. After strolling through the liveliest part of Asakusa, I saw them off at their hotel to end the tour.
