On the day of the tour, the weather was mild and made perfect conditions for a walking tour, and the guests enjoyed the tour smoothly. For lunch, the guests had no specific request and left the choice to me, so I took them to a long-established tempura restaurant in Asakusa, which they were very pleased with. I kept the walking pace relaxed and guided the group at a comfortable speed. Title: What's a Private Kyoto Day Tour from Kobe Port for Cruise Ship Guests Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were an older group from Europe (friends traveling together). It was their first visit to Japan, and they were cruise ship passengers. I met them at Kobe Port, took them to Kyoto, where we visited Sanjusangendo, had lunch, and toured Gion and Nijo Castle, before taking them back to Kobe Port. This was my first experience with a tour where I met guests at Kobe Port, but fortunately we did not encounter severe rush hour traffic on the way there or back. One of the guests had difficulty walking, so we could only proceed at a fairly slow pace. There was a request to minimize walking for transfers as much as possible, apart from sightseeing itself, so we switched to taxi travel for part of the trip. In particular, since the cruise ship's departure time was fixed after the tour, I adjusted the time allocation so that we could return them to Kobe Port by the time the guests requested. Some of the guests especially enjoyed Sanjusangendo, while others particularly liked Nijo Castle.

What's a Full-Day Private Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Asakusa, the Imperial Palace, Gotokuji, and Shibuya The guests were a group of three. They were originally from Europe and now live in different parts of Europe. They had met each other while traveling abroad some years ago, got along well, and had since enjoyed several overseas trips together. They also shared a love of cats, which was part of what brought them together. This was the first visit to Japan for all of them. Among themselves, the group spoke French. They had arrived at Narita Airport the previous evening and taken a taxi to their hotel. They planned to stay in Japan for fourteen days. The next day they would take the Shinkansen to Hiroshima, and afterward visit Kyoto, Osaka, Nara, and other places at a relaxed pace before returning to Tokyo and then heading home. They also mentioned, "If possible, we'd love to enjoy the cherry blossoms." The tour took place under clear skies and almost hot weather. First, we went to Asakusa. We started in front of the Kaminarimon Gate. I explained "Sensoji Temple and the history from Edo to Tokyo," "what the five-story pagoda is for," "what Buddhism is," and "the difference between Buddhism and Shinto." We took commemorative photos at the Kaminarimon Gate, in front of the five-story pagoda, and at various other spots. The weeping cherry blossoms in the temple grounds had almost all fallen. We slowly strolled through the crowded Nakamise shopping street. There were questions such as "What are the main religions in Japan?" "About how many people in Japan believe in Buddhism?" and "Besides Buddhism, what other religions do people follow?" There was also a question: "We see many people wearing kimono in the temple grounds. Why is that? Are they all Japanese?" The guests bought a large number of "omamori" charms as souvenirs for their grandchildren. We then moved to the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace. I explained "Japanese history from Edo to Meiji," "the Meiji Restoration," "why Edo Castle became the Imperial Palace," "the history of the Imperial family," "World War II and the air raids on Tokyo," and "how the stone walls were built." There were questions and comments such as "Does the current Emperor of Japan hold political power?" "Who will be the next Emperor?" "Can a woman become Emperor?" and "Why can't we approach the Imperial residence buildings within the palace grounds?" The guests remarked, "The pine trees are wonderful." Several cherry trees were in full bloom, and the guests photographed them eagerly. From here we traveled a long way to Gotokuji Temple. I explained "the history and origins of Gotokuji Temple." The guests eagerly took photos in front of the "cat statues." They all bought a "cat" figurine, wrote their names on them, and offered them at the temple. We took a short break at a coffee shop in front of the station. We moved to Shibuya and actually crossed the scramble crossing. There were questions such as "About how many people cross here?" and "Why did it become famous?" We also took photos in front of the Hachiko statue and strolled through Shibuya Center Street. There were comments and questions such as "The city is clean and there's no litter on the ground," "It's surprising that the public toilets are clean and free," "There are no trash cans on the streets. Why is that?" "Everyone is quiet on the trains," and "There are vending machines everywhere." I saw the guests off at Daiba Station, where we parted ways.

In the past, I was stationed in Canada, the United States, and Mexico as an expatriate of a Japanese bank for over 11 years.
Since I have been mainly involved in the financing business in the United States for a long time, I think I am able to provide interpretation and translation services related to business and finance.
I am a certified CPA in the United States.
In addition, for three years from April 2016, I will be engaged in Japanese-English translation work (part-time), and I can also handle translation work.
Although I don’t have a qualification in Spanish, but I think I can handle day to day conversation in Spanish without any problems.
My hobby is trekking and from time to time, take a walk around mountains near Tokyo like Mt. Takao, Tanzawa, etc. I think it is possible to provide tourist information here as well.

What Is a Private Kamakura Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from North America who arrived in Japan by cruise ship, on their second visit to Japan. This time they requested a first-time sightseeing tour of Kamakura. We started from Kita-Kamakura Station and headed to Engaku-ji Temple, where they were very satisfied with the quiet atmosphere surrounded by fresh greenery. To keep the walking distance as short as possible, we took a bus to Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. After paying our respects, we strolled along Dankazura and Komachi-dori Street on the way to the lunch spot. In the afternoon, we visited Hase-dera Temple by the Enoden train, and they were delighted by the beautiful flowers. As they wished to return together to Yokohama Station, we set off on the way back together. Blessed with fine weather, they thoroughly enjoyed the day.

There were questions and comments such as "Do all Tokyo residents come here to buy fish?" and "It's crowded, but it seems there are many tourists after all." They wanted to try some food, so they sampled "tuna sushi" and "grilled Kobe beef skewers topped with sea urchin." One of the guests loves Japanese food, and mentioned being especially fond of a restaurant called "NOBU." We moved to Harajuku. Meiji Shrine was full of tourists. I explained "about Shinto," "about the torii gate," "about Emperor Meiji," "why sake barrels are displayed," and "why wine barrels are displayed." There were questions such as "What kind of religion is Shinto?" and "How do Buddhism and Shinto differ?" We came across a wedding procession, which they eagerly photographed. We also encountered a family celebrating "Shichi-Go-San," and with permission, they photographed that as well. We also strolled through the very crowded "Takeshita Street" and "Cat Street." We took a short break at a nearby restaurant. We moved to Shibuya. We actually crossed the Scramble Square. There were questions such as "About how many people cross here?" and "Why did it become famous?" We also took photos in front of the Hachiko statue, and strolled through Shibuya Center Street. There were comments and questions such as "The streets are clean and there's no litter," "The public restrooms are clean," "There are no trash cans on the streets—why?", "Everyone is quiet on the trains," and "There are vending machines everywhere." We parted ways at Shibuya Station.

In the past, I was stationed in Canada, the United States, and Mexico as an expatriate of a Japanese bank for over 11 years.
Since I have been mainly involved in the financing business in the United States for a long time, I think I am able to provide interpretation and translation services related to business and finance.
I am a certified CPA in the United States.
In addition, for three years from April 2016, I will be engaged in Japanese-English translation work (part-time), and I can also handle translation work.
Although I don’t have a qualification in Spanish, but I think I can handle day to day conversation in Spanish without any problems.
My hobby is trekking and from time to time, take a walk around mountains near Tokyo like Mt. Takao, Tanzawa, etc. I think it is possible to provide tourist information here as well.
Since April 2015, I have been working as a Tokyo Metropolitan Tourism Volunteer and Tokyo Metropolitan Disaster Prevention Volunteer.
One more, I have a separate house near Asuka Village, Nara prefecture, and I stay there for a total of about 30 days every year and have been enjoying sightseeing personally in the vicinity. Therefore, I think in the Kansai region, especially in Nara, Asuka, Yoshino, Koyasan, Kumano Kodo, etc., where I think I will be able to tour guide with confidence.

Can You Do a Private Kochi Day Tour Including Kochi Castle and Katsurahama? A Licensed Guide's Report The tour began with a meeting at the port at 8:40. At Kochi Castle, I guided the guests up to the area around the gate, where we took photos, and then moved on to the museum. Since the museum is on the third floor, the guests were pleased to be able to take clear photos of the castle, and they also made postcards. As the guests preferred a light meal, at Hirome Market they enjoyed konatsu citrus, seasonal fruits, and negitoro rolls. At Chikurinji Temple, the guests took photos of the Jizo statue and the five-story pagoda, and purchased zodiac good-luck charms corresponding to their birth years. Since there was time to spare, we decided to also stop by the Makino Botanical Garden. The guests were both very knowledgeable about plants and flowers, and they told me they were glad we were able to visit. As there was a lot of outdoor activity, one of the guests appeared tired in the latter half, and before heading to Katsurahama they asked whether it would be alright to return to the port a little early. I suggested taking a break at a café in Katsurahama, but the guests preferred to rest on the ship, so the tour ended a little earlier than planned.

Title: What Is a Private Walking Tour of Yanaka, the Imperial Palace, and Asakusa Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visiting Japan from Europe. One of the guests enjoyed flowers and occasionally stopped to take photographs of them, while another showed a keen interest in Japanese history and religion, asking quite specialized questions. Nezu Shrine happened to be holding its azalea festival, and the guests were very pleased with it. We walked through the Yanaka, Nezu, and Sendagi area, and they listened attentively to the historical explanations. Although we covered a considerable distance on foot, they showed no signs of tiredness at all. At the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace and at Senso-ji Temple, they walked around actively and captured many photographs. Since Zojo-ji Temple was near the Hotel, I guided them there at the end. They were satisfied with the tour.

Some of the guests then continued separately, driving the rental car toward Tsumago after sightseeing in Magome-juku. I walked to Tsumago with one of the guests, who was very fit and walked at a light, brisk pace. The weather was fine and the temperature was comfortable. Along the way, the guests also enjoyed the scenery of the Odaki and Medaki waterfalls. Upon arriving in Tsumago, we reunited with the rest of the group at the parking area.
