Title: What's a Private Day Tour of Nara Like? A Licensed Guide's Report

The guests today were a group visiting from Oceania. They had visited Osaka and Hiroshima, came to Nara today, and planned to continue on to Kyoto, Tokyo, and Sapporo. Today it was drizzly and cloudy, which made it pleasant and not too hot. As expected, there were many students on school trips and field excursions, so we walked a route starting from the less crowded Kasuga Taisha Shrine. The guests seemed very interested in Japanese culture at both Kasuga Taisha Shrine and Todaiji Temple. To avoid the crowds, I think it worked well that we had an early lunch at the Emado Chaya teahouse near Todaiji Temple. The guests enjoyed the garden at Isuien, and at Naramachi Nigiwai no Ie they learned about traditional Japanese houses, which I believe they found enjoyable.
