What Is a Private Day Trip from Osaka to Koyasan Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests came on a day trip from Osaka to Koyasan. Their tickets appear to have been arranged by a travel agency. They arrived on time, and we immediately took a bus to Okunoin. Since it was a hot season there were fewer international visitors, but the guests were pleased that it was cooler than Osaka or Kyoto and there was no concern about heatstroke. They enjoyed the various corporate graves and monuments and took many photos of the old five-story stone pagodas. The guests seemed tired from sightseeing in the daily heat, and at Koyasan they enjoyed the natural greenery of the trees and the old buildings and pagodas. One of the guests seemed to enjoy photography and took many pictures, and I also took some group photos for the guests. Since they wanted to eat Japanese cuisine, the restaurant "Hachiyo" at the Okunoin exit suited their tastes perfectly. They also wanted to try manju and mochi, so we stopped by afterward and bought various sweets to eat as snacks on the train. They were interested in Japanese culture and the legends of Kobo Daishi and listened attentively. Because it was a 6-hour guiding assignment, I was able to guide with plenty of time to spare, which was great.

Hi! I’m an official English guide in Wakayama prefecture. I’m also a national guide as well. I’d like to expand my guide area to help tourists.
The town of Osaka offers a different atmosphere than Tokyo. I like both exciting Osaka and nature-filled Wakayama Prefecture.
If you stay in Osaka for 3 days, you can go to Koyasan for one day, or even for a day trip, so I recommend sightseeing at Koyasan.
If you are tired of the hustle and bustle of the big city, the nature of Koyasan will relax you.
I will introduce you to the unique culture, history and must-see sights.

Title: What's a Private One-Day Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Ueno, Akihabara, and Shibuya Body: The booking came through a travel agency, and since there had been almost no communication in advance, I began the day by first asking about the guests' wishes before deciding on the route for the day. The guests were visiting from abroad, and while they did not state it clearly, they seemed interested in art and pop culture, so I included the Tokyo National Museum and Akihabara in the itinerary. The guests seemed to really enjoy the Tokyo National Museum and stayed for nearly two and a half hours. Since it was extremely hot outside, this was very welcome. As there was a request to eat shabu-shabu for lunch, I guided them to a restaurant in Ueno, and they were very pleased. They enjoyed games in Akihabara and shopping in Shibuya, and the tour concluded on Center Street in Shibuya. Despite the heat, I built the itinerary around the museum and shopping, so we were able to finish without much discomfort. I believe the guests were satisfied with the tour.

I have been an English guide in Tokyo area since January 2017.
Tokyo is a wonderful city, and you may enjoy this city by yourselves.
Even so, I recommend you go around with a guide, especially if it is your first time visit to Tokyo.

I am glad if I can help you to make your tour more enjoyable.

Title: What Is a Private Family-Friendly Tokyo Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Fukagawa The guests were a group visiting Japan for the first time from Europe. After outlining the plan for the tour, I presented origami "kabuto" helmets folded from large chiyogami paper as a gift to the younger members of the group in the lobby of the Hotel. One of the guests had done extensive research about Japan and had planned most of the two-week itinerary in Japan. When I explained the goma fire ritual at Fukagawa Fudodo, the group was eager to experience it, so we started the tour from Fukagawa. After a short break at a café attached to a bakery, we strolled through the old downtown area of Fukagawa. The guests fully enjoyed the traditional side of Tokyo, even buying a folding umbrella that could also be used as a parasol.

Title: What's a Private Day Tour of Osaka Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Osaka Castle, Shitennoji, and Dotonbori The guests moved through the day smoothly, but the intense heat and humidity clearly left them quite tired, so we took frequent breaks and stayed hydrated. Osaka Castle was viewed only from the outside, but I believe the guests were satisfied with its beauty and grandeur. At the adjacent "Miraiza," they purchased many souvenirs. At Shitennoji Temple, the usual 300-yen admission fee was waived that day, as it was the memorial day for the temple's founder, Prince Shotoku. It was also a special occasion with many monks performing Buddhist services. In addition, numerous stalls were set up within the temple grounds, and while it is normally a very quiet place, it was very lively that day. In Dotonbori, the guests wished to eat sushi, so I recommended a couple of restaurants, after which we parted ways.

    Dear my guests,

This is (Mr.) Yama, greeting from Kobe, Japan.
I would like to warmly welcome you to Japan this time. I am from the city of Kobe, which is of course, well-known for very tasty Kobe Beef . You can taste
real genuine Kobe Beef here. Kobe is also called “Home of Japanese Sake” with lots of Sake breweries, and I recommend you would visit those breweries
if you have any interest in Japanese Sake as well as one aspect of Japanese cultures. Of course, you can have tastings of various kinds of Sake there.

Whenever during the tour, I always try to make it safe, pleasant and comfortable for all of the guests, which is my first priority. I am very much confident
that you can have a pleasant and unforgettable experience in Japan. Just tell me about your preference; what you would like to like to see, have, know
and eat and so on. Particularly, I hold the license for cooking qualified by the government here and maybe, I can reply you for questions related to the
foods here. In this respect, I strongly recommend you would try not only famous Japanese cuisine such as Sushi, Tempura or Suki-yaki but some
Japanese traditional local foods, like Tako-yaki, Okonomi-yaki and Kushkatsu. They are sometimes called the soul foods of Japan. Here is the brief
    explanation for these three foods.

    1) Tako-yaki
Tako-yaki is a snack filled with pieces of octopus in a batter of flour , egg and soup stock. You can call them octopus dumplings or balls. “Tako” means
octopus and “yaki” means grilled or broiled.
    2) Okonomi-yaki
This word Okonomi-yaki means “cook just as you like” and you can use whatever you like as toppings, such as beef, pork, shrimp, squid and octopus.
Okonomi-yaki is round shape and just like pancakes or pizza in shape mainly made from egg, flour and water.
    3) Kushi-katsu
Kushi-katsu is skewered cutlet or deep-fried foods on a stick. “Kushi” means skewer and “katsu” means cutlet. Various kinds of foods are used for
ingredients such as beef, pork, chicken, shrimp, squid, octopus and lots of kinds of vegetables.

Actually, the western Japan including Osaka, Kobe and Himeji is called as “Home of such local soul foods”. You should give it a try and I am sure
that you like them very much.

I sincerely hope that I can be your tour guide this time in Kobe, Osaka and Himeji. If my guests said to me after the tour, “I have had a very good
and pleasant time with you today. I hope I can come here again and name you as our guide”, which is my great pleasure. Moreover, I would be
great honored if they say “I like Japan now thanks to you”.

Looking forward to meeting you soon here.
    Doomo Arigato Gozaimasu!

Title: What's a Private Kyoto Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Fushimi Inari, Arashiyama, and Kinkaku-ji The guests were a group from Asia who visited Fushimi Inari Taisha, the Arashiyama area, and Kinkaku-ji on a private tour in Kyoto. Since some of the guests wanted to visit antique shops, the driver dropped them off on the antique street near Nijo Castle, where they parted ways with the driver. After that, part of the group returned to the hotel while shopping along the way, and the rest of the guests wished to visit Nishiki Market, so I guided them there via Teramachi Shopping Street. Because I had explained the extension fee in advance, at the end of the tour I received 10,000 yen, including a tip.

What Is a 6-Hour Private Kyoto Tour Like From Kyoto Station? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests' schedule for the day was quite demanding: departing Tokyo at 8:30, arriving at Kyoto Station around 11:00, and then a 6-hour Kyoto tour starting at 13:00. I didn't worry too much about it, but toward the end of the tour the guests seemed quite tired and asked to skip Kiyomizu-dera Temple. As a result, the tour ended 30 minutes earlier than planned. They mentioned that since they had a free day the following day, they would visit Kiyomizu-dera Temple again. I introduced them to charming spots such as Nene-no-Michi and Ishibei-koji. I'm sure that by the next day their energy will have recovered and they will enjoy a wonderful day in Kyoto.

What Is a Private Walking Tour of Takayama Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a friendly group visiting from Europe. They did not have any strong requests, so I checked with them at each step and adjusted the itinerary as we went along. They seemed to enjoy nature and peaceful scenery, and they smiled fondly at the riverbanks and the carp and ducks. Since I was not sure about the interests of some of the guests, I did not suggest the Kusakabe Folk Museum this time. Some of the guests seemed a little tired. My main concern was the heat. Even though I worried I might be repeating myself, I suggested staying hydrated and taking breaks. They preferred not to have a full lunch and said snacks would be fine. The Higashiyama Walking Trail and Shiroyama Park were not options this time. I took care to choose routes where we could walk in the shade.

I was born, raised, and still live in Takayama, and I am a licensed National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter.

My guiding philosophy is to create unforgettable memories through warm, cheerful, and engaging experiences. I enjoy sharing not only the highlights of the region, but also the history, culture, and stories that make each place unique.

I studied International Relations at a national university and have built a diverse career in the tourism industry, including hotels, travel agencies, and the local tourism association. Today, I primarily guide luxury travelers, as well as private and group tours, offering authentic cultural experiences, visits with local artisans, and in-depth insights into Japanese traditions.

I also practice Japanese calligraphy, the Omotesenke school of tea ceremony, Sencha (Baisa-ryu), and kimono dressing, allowing me to incorporate traditional Japanese culture into my tours.

I mainly guide in Takayama, Okuhida, Shirakawa-go, Gokayama, Kanazawa, and Kamikochi. I look forward to helping make your visit to Japan a truly memorable experience.

What Is a Private Kyoto Walking Tour Like in Summer? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests came from Oceania. They had traveled through Tokyo, Hakone, Takayama, Hiroshima, and Kyoto, and planned to spend the remaining two weeks in Nagoya, where they have friends. The guests were both in good spirits, though by the latter half of the trip they were understandably a little worn out by the unusually intense heat. The large lotus flowers at Ogura Pond were in full bloom and looked absolutely beautiful. Although today was a Sunday, the streets in the city were relatively empty because of the heat, and there were fewer people out than usual.

I offer various information from daily matters to traditional cultures. Most destinations in Kyoto are located on the eastern side or the western side. Title: What Is a Private Miyajima and Hiroshima Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report Since I was able to stay in touch by email the day before the tour, I introduced places such as the okonomiyaki village and the "Pride of Hiroshima" at Gate Park. The scheduled meeting time was 9:30, but the guests arrived at the terminal by 9:10, so we started the tour a little early. It was a hot day and the guests worked up quite a sweat, but I chose shaded spots and continued the tour while giving explanations. At Senjokaku, a breeze passed through the hall and the guests were able to relax. At Daishoin, the kaidan-meguri (the tour through the darkness beneath the Kannon-do) could not be done because of recent rain, but there were few other tourists, so the guests were able to look around at a leisurely pace and seemed very pleased.

I was born in Fukuyama and have lived in Hiroshima most of my life. After graduating from university, I worked for a company for three years before I got married. Since 1991 I have been an instructor of a tutorial school. I also have been studying English and Chinese as a credited auditor at university. I love traveling abroad and have visited more than 20 countries. And I learned that it is an encounter with people while traveling that made my visit unforgettable. So through my own experience, I want to be a supporter for tourists to Hiroshima and help them make their travel special. My favorite places are Peace Park, Miyajima, Hiroshima Castle and Shukkeien Garden. I also recommend green tea from Sera. Actually I know a tea master who grows tea plants without agricultural chemicals and fertilizers. You will find wonders of green tea and learn how to make delicious tea.

Title: What Is a Private Miyajima Day Tour Like in Summer? A Licensed Guide's Report The guest was a visitor who traveled solo and enjoyed conversation very much. It was a hot day. At first the guest mentioned being used to the heat, but gradually appeared to grow tired. For lunch, I recommended okonomiyaki, and the guest enjoyed comparing it with the okonomiyaki they had eaten in Kyoto. In the morning, we were able to see the torii gate while the water was still present. Preparations for the Kangensai Festival had also begun, and we were able to see the beautifully decorated boat. The guest read every detail carefully, so we spent quite a lot of time at the museum.

Hi. I’m Michi. I’m a national licensed tour guide in English.
I want to introduce many faces and charms of Japan and make your stay in Japan more fascinating and satisfying.

I was born and raised in Hiroshima. My first tour in English was as a volunteer guide for the visitors to my school when I was a junior high school student. It gave me a great opportunity to study about the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima.
I spent my life in Hiroshima except for 6 years; 1 year in the UK as a student and 5 years working in Singapore and Malaysia. During this period I enjoyed meeting and talking with people from different cultural backgrounds.
These experiences encouraged me to be a licensed tour guide.

In Hiroshima, there are two famous World Heritage Sites, the Atomic Bomb Dome in the Hiroshima Peace Memorial & Itsukushima Shrine in Miyajima.
I have experienced many tours of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum & Park since I was a junior high school student. I would like to introduce you to the a-bomb legacies that are still existing in the city and the stories under the mushroom cloud.
I also would like to share time with you on a historic island, Miyajima. There is one of the most famous Shinto shrines, the Itsukushima Shrine. We can share an enjoyable time by exploring a sacred atmosphere, tradition, nature, food, etc.

I am also an official ‘A-bomb legacy successor’ designated by the City of Hiroshima. An A-bomb Legacy Successor is a memory keeper of the A-bomb survivors. To ensure that the A-bomb survivors’ experiences and desires for peace are faithfully inherited and shared with as many people as possible, the City has started a three-year training program for official ‘A-bomb Legacy Successors. ‘

Let me support your stay in Japan and I look forward to showing you the best of Japan!
    Hope to see you soon!
