What Is a Private Miyajima and Hiroshima Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from North America. It was a very sunny and warm day, and they enjoyed the tour thoroughly. They responded positively to everything I talked about. They were especially moved by the beauty of Miyajima. When they asked whether trekking was possible, I recommended that next time they stay overnight and enjoy Miyajima for a full day. On the Hiroshima Electric Railway, they were able to ride a Kyoto-model tram, and from the front-row seats they took many photos and videos. Since one of the guests followed a plant-based diet, we ordered a vegetable version of okonomiyaki without egg, which was very much appreciated. Taking them up on their kind offer, we ended the tour aboard the bus heading to the Shinkansen entrance. It was a day where everything went smoothly.

Hi. I’m Michi. I’m a national licensed tour guide in English.
I want to introduce many faces and charms of Japan and make your stay in Japan more fascinating and satisfying.

I was born and raised in Hiroshima. My first tour in English was as a volunteer guide for the visitors to my school when I was a junior high school student. It gave me a great opportunity to study about the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima.
I spent my life in Hiroshima except for 6 years; 1 year in the UK as a student and 5 years working in Singapore and Malaysia. During this period I enjoyed meeting and talking with people from different cultural backgrounds.
These experiences encouraged me to be a licensed tour guide.

In Hiroshima, there are two famous World Heritage Sites, the Atomic Bomb Dome in the Hiroshima Peace Memorial & Itsukushima Shrine in Miyajima.
I have experienced many tours of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum & Park since I was a junior high school student. I would like to introduce you to the a-bomb legacies that are still existing in the city and the stories under the mushroom cloud.
I also would like to share time with you on a historic island, Miyajima. There is one of the most famous Shinto shrines, the Itsukushima Shrine. We can share an enjoyable time by exploring a sacred atmosphere, tradition, nature, food, etc.

I am also an official ‘A-bomb legacy successor’ designated by the City of Hiroshima. An A-bomb Legacy Successor is a memory keeper of the A-bomb survivors. To ensure that the A-bomb survivors’ experiences and desires for peace are faithfully inherited and shared with as many people as possible, the City has started a three-year training program for official ‘A-bomb Legacy Successors. ‘

Let me support your stay in Japan and I look forward to showing you the best of Japan!
    Hope to see you soon!

Title: What Is a Private Miyajima and Hiroshima Peace Park Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting from Europe. On this private tour of Miyajima and the Hiroshima Peace Park, we experienced learning the worship etiquette at Itsukushima Shrine, the Kaidan-meguri at Daisho-in Temple, a stroll along Maple Road, and a moment of silent prayer at the Peace Park. The weather was sunny. I guided the group to a restaurant serving vegan okonomiyaki. Recently, a newly built port building has opened, and there are now more facilities where you can enjoy a meal while taking in the views of the Seto Inland Sea. We shared some lighthearted conversation about the joys and challenges of family life, and it was a pleasure to guide the group throughout the day.

Originally, I’m a cycling guide doing cycling tours all over Japan.
But, already done Hiroshima & Miyajima tour more than 400 times.
I traveled many countries in my younger days. I traveled Europe, US, China, India, US, Mexico, Peru Australia, NZ, and so on.
I decided to use this experience to become a guide.
I’m afraid but no tipping required, because cycling guides are not allowed to have tipping in my association. And you do not need to pay for my lunch, because my lunch is prepared by our group.
Please do not hesitate to ask me anything, I’ll change the plan according to your requests.
Thank you for your understanding and please stay connected.

What Is a Private Osaka Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Sumiyoshi Taisha and Tennoji The guests were a group visiting from North America. Both were very strong walkers and moved around smoothly. They both toured the sites with great enthusiasm and listened attentively to my explanations. They also took a lot of photos. One of the guests mentioned having visited more than 130 countries so far. When they said they wanted to have some sweets, I recommended the "taiyaki" available inside Tennoji Station, and they were very satisfied with it. At Sumiyoshi Taisha, they offered their prayers, picked up the small stones of the popular power spot "Go-Dai-Riki," and purchased the small charm pouches to keep them in. They also enjoyed stroking the popular "petting rabbit." After the tour, they planned to visit Osaka Castle, which is near their hotel. (Note) The fare for the "Hankai Tram," which is often used between Tennoji and Sumiyoshi Taisha, will be raised from the current flat rate of JPY 230 to JPY 240 starting next month.

    Dear my guests,

This is (Mr.) Yama, greeting from Kobe, Japan.
I would like to warmly welcome you to Japan this time. I am from the city of Kobe, which is of course, well-known for very tasty Kobe Beef . You can taste
real genuine Kobe Beef here. Kobe is also called “Home of Japanese Sake” with lots of Sake breweries, and I recommend you would visit those breweries
if you have any interest in Japanese Sake as well as one aspect of Japanese cultures. Of course, you can have tastings of various kinds of Sake there.

Whenever during the tour, I always try to make it safe, pleasant and comfortable for all of the guests, which is my first priority. I am very much confident
that you can have a pleasant and unforgettable experience in Japan. Just tell me about your preference; what you would like to like to see, have, know
and eat and so on. Particularly, I hold the license for cooking qualified by the government here and maybe, I can reply you for questions related to the
foods here. In this respect, I strongly recommend you would try not only famous Japanese cuisine such as Sushi, Tempura or Suki-yaki but some
Japanese traditional local foods, like Tako-yaki, Okonomi-yaki and Kushkatsu. They are sometimes called the soul foods of Japan. Here is the brief
    explanation for these three foods.

    1) Tako-yaki
Tako-yaki is a snack filled with pieces of octopus in a batter of flour , egg and soup stock. You can call them octopus dumplings or balls. “Tako” means
octopus and “yaki” means grilled or broiled.
    2) Okonomi-yaki
This word Okonomi-yaki means “cook just as you like” and you can use whatever you like as toppings, such as beef, pork, shrimp, squid and octopus.
Okonomi-yaki is round shape and just like pancakes or pizza in shape mainly made from egg, flour and water.
    3) Kushi-katsu
Kushi-katsu is skewered cutlet or deep-fried foods on a stick. “Kushi” means skewer and “katsu” means cutlet. Various kinds of foods are used for
ingredients such as beef, pork, chicken, shrimp, squid, octopus and lots of kinds of vegetables.

Actually, the western Japan including Osaka, Kobe and Himeji is called as “Home of such local soul foods”. You should give it a try and I am sure
that you like them very much.

I sincerely hope that I can be your tour guide this time in Kobe, Osaka and Himeji. If my guests said to me after the tour, “I have had a very good
and pleasant time with you today. I hope I can come here again and name you as our guide”, which is my great pleasure. Moreover, I would be
great honored if they say “I like Japan now thanks to you”.

Looking forward to meeting you soon here.
    Doomo Arigato Gozaimasu!

Title: What's a Short Private Cruise Port Tour in Osaka Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from North America who arrived at Osaka Port by cruise ship the previous day after coming from Nagoya, and were scheduled to depart for Naha at 5:00 p.m. on the day of the tour. Since I had received information in advance about the places they wanted to visit and the souvenirs they wished to buy, I believe they enjoyed a full and rewarding tour despite the limited time available. After the tour, they planned to spend the time before departure at a hot spring near Osaka Port. The day before, they had experienced the Shinkansen from Osaka to Kyoto, and they seemed to be energetically enjoying special experiences at each port of call. Throughout the tour, the conversation never lagged as we talked about a wide range of topics, making it a very enjoyable tour.

Title: What Is a Private One-Day Kyoto Tour with a Licensed Guide Like? A Guide's Report The guest was a solo traveler visiting Japan for the first time from Oceania, and they were very excited. The guest enjoys woodworking as a hobby, so from the planning stage they mentioned wanting to see many wooden buildings. I selected and arranged three such sites, and the guest was pleased with all of them. The enormous Sanmon gate at Nanzen-ji Temple seemed to leave a particularly strong impression. We proceeded at a slightly slower pace, but we completed the tour nearly as scheduled. What's a Private Toyosu Market and Tsukiji Outer Market Food Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) guide led a private tour of Toyosu Market and Tsukiji Outer Market for the guests visiting Japan from North America. The guests loved sushi, so they were very pleased with the tour. The guests had won the lottery for the Toyosu Market observation tour in advance and had an entry slot, so I accompanied them to the reception and waited at the exit. Since I had thoroughly explained how the auctions work and the structure of the market in the taxi beforehand, they said the actual visit was easy to understand. At the Tsukiji Outer Market, the guests also enjoyed some street food along the way.

Hi friends, I’m Seky, a tour guide in Tokyo, but I cover all over Japan, namely from Hokkaido to Kyushu. I have lived overseas for more than 15 years in total, such as US, UK, Singapore and others, and enjoyed local culture there. Back in Japan, I wish I could help travelers to Japan enjoy Japanese culture, and this is why I became a tour guide.
In Tokyo, my favorite places are Shibuya, Harajuku, Asakusa, and if you are interested in fish market, I’d love to take you to the world largest Tuna auction and/or if you are sports lovers, I’ll go to ball games (baseball) too.

What Is a Private Himeji Castle and Koko-en Garden Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting from North America. They had been in Japan for about a month, touring various places such as Okinawa and Hokkaido, and stopped in Himeji before returning home. They were especially interested in seeing Japanese history and an authentic castle, so they visited Himeji Castle and enthusiastically explored its history and architecture. At Koko-en Garden, the plum blossoms were in bloom, the weather was fine, and the greenery was very vivid. They took many photographs and were delighted with the beautiful garden. Since they had made a reservation at Kassuiken when entering Koko-en, we strolled through the garden, returned to Kassuiken, and said goodbye to the guests there.

What Can You See on a Private Yokohama Cruise Port Day Tour in Tokyo? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting from Asia, stopping at Yokohama Port as part of a cruise tour passing through Japan. They had visited Japan once before more than 20 years ago, making this their second visit. At Meiji Shrine, they were impressed by the quiet and solemn atmosphere, which was quite different from Shibuya, and they listened with great interest to explanations about the differences between shrines and temples. At Tsukiji Market, they showed interest in the lively scene of many tourists and shops. At Tokyo Tower, they appeared impressed by the magnificent views of Tokyo. At the Imperial Palace, they listened with interest to historical explanations about the role of the Emperor, the Meiji Restoration, and the Edo Shogunate. A Licensed Guide's Report on Nagoya Castle, Tokugawa Garden, and Osu For guests with a strong interest in history and culture, this [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) private tour featured visits to Nagoya Castle, Tokugawa Garden, and the Tokugawa Art Museum, along with the lively atmosphere of Oasis 21 and the Osu shopping district. This day happened to coincide with the Nagoya Women's Marathon and the citizens' marathon, which meant traffic in the city center was restricted. As an unexpected development, the taxi ride from Nagoya Castle to Tokugawa Garden, which normally takes about 15 minutes, ended up taking 45 minutes. After that, by switching to walking and using the Meitetsu Seto Line to reach the city center, we were able to visit each site smoothly. The guests particularly enjoyed the plum blossoms in full bloom at Nagoya Castle and the atmosphere of Tokugawa Garden, a Japanese garden. We also added a visit to the Osu shopping district, which is near the Hotel in the Fushimi area, before returning to the Hotel, and the guests were very satisfied.

What Does a Private One-Day Tokyo Tour Cover? A Licensed Guide's Report on Asakusa, Akihabara, Meiji Shrine, and Shibuya The guests were a group of four visiting from North America. They arrived in Japan in late February, enjoyed skiing in Niseko for about ten days, and then came to Tokyo. Two days after this tour, they planned to travel to other parts of Asia before returning home, spending about two weeks in Japan and around six weeks on the trip overall. Everyone in the group walked very energetically and completed the itinerary smoothly. One of the guests had studied in Japan for about a year around fifty years ago and could understand and speak some basic Japanese. On the tour, I guided them through Asakusa, Akihabara, Meiji Shrine, and Shibuya. At each point, they listened to my explanations with great interest, asked questions, and clearly enjoyed the visit. In Akihabara, they purchased some character goods as souvenirs. Since some members of the group did not eat seafood, we had lunch at a yakitori restaurant in Shibuya. As they planned to go shopping in Shibuya after the tour, I explained how to get back to their hotel and we parted ways in Shibuya.
