Naka, was an amazing tour guide. He truly made me feel like I understood the heart of Japan sacredness. His attention to us was truly unmatched. Mt Koya and its history was stunning. It gave me the peace of mind that I was looking for in Japan. Attending the fire ceremony was a one of a kind experience. Thank you Naka, for your wonderful guidance through the beautiful history and religion of Japan.

Wir reisen für drei Wochen durch Japan und unser mittlerweile dritter Stopp führt uns nach Koyasan, wo wir in einem der 52 (!) Tempel übernachten. Nach unserer Ankunft begeben uns aber zunächst auf eine geführte Sightseeingtour. Unser guide Naka hat schon mehrere Tage vorher per Msil Kontakt mit uns aufgenommen und uns über den genauen Ablauf der Tour, den Treffpunkt und die Uhrzeit informiert. Heute besuchen wir dann zu Beginn der Tour den Koyasan Danjo Garan, einen riesigen Tempelkomplex, und sind beeindruckt von den vielen wunderschönen Gebäuden. Anschliessend geht’s weiter zum Kongobuji Tempel, dem Hauptquartier, und zum Ekoin Tempel. In letzterem dürfen wir einer Feuerzeremonie beiwohnen und unsere Wünsche (geschrieben auf ein kleines Holzstück, das man für 1000 Yen erwerben kann) dem Feuer zur Erfüllung übergeben. Am Schluss spazieren wir über den Okunoin Friedhof und können uns an der schönen Szenerie kaum sattsehen.
Während des gesamten Tages versichert sich Naka immer wieder, ob wir zufrieden sind, und beantwortet all unsere Fragen kompetent und geduldig. Wir fühlen uns sehr wohl und können die Tour nur wärmstens empfehlen.

私たちは3週間かけて日本を旅行しており、3つ目の目的地として高野山を訪れました。ここでは52ものお寺のひとつに宿泊します。到着後、まずはガイド付きの観光ツアーに参加しました。ガイドのナカさんは数日前からメールで連絡をくださり、ツアーの詳細、集合場所、時間について事前に案内してくれました。
本日はまず、高野山の中心にある巨大な寺院群・壇上伽藍を訪れ、数多くの美しい建物に感動しました。その後、総本山である金剛峯寺、そして恵光院を訪れました。恵光院では火渡りの護摩祈祷を見学することができ、私たちも願い事を（1,000円で購入できる小さな木の札に書いて）火にくべて祈願しました。最後は奥之院の墓地を散策し、美しい景色に心を奪われました。
一日を通して、ナカさんは私たちが楽しんでいるかを常に気遣い、全ての質問に的確かつ丁寧に答えてくれました。とても快適に過ごすことができ、このツアーは心からおすすめできます。

There is much to do in Osaka so carefully choose 3 or 4 sights to visit. Yuki was a great tour
guide and she communicated with us before the tour to find out what we wanted to see
and do. She was knowledgeable about the city and its history.

A Great Tour of Kyoto
The tour was both very informative and incredibly picturesque, while also serving as some good exercise. The guide was pleasant throughout and easy to understand so the experience was a lot of fun overall. Lovely and Educational Tour of Hiroshima

Our guide for this tour was Tomoyo- to say she was wonderful is an understatement! She picked us up right at the train station and helped us navigate all that Hiroshima has to offer- providing education on World War II, while also showing us how beautiful the city is in its own right. We really enjoyed the Peace Museum and Hiroshima Castle. Highly recommend!

We had a great day touring Hiroshima city today with our guide, Tsukumoto-san. He was very helpful and informative throughout, with good and clear English speaking.
We started out by touring the Peace Memorial Park – Hiroshima
平和記念公園.
We followed with Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum
広島平和記念資料館
A very emotional and moving experience overall. The landmarks and museum convey vividly the horror of war and the bombing, and tells the story of the real people who were tragically lost, injured and left traumatized.

We had lunch in a nearby restaurant Okonomiyaki Mitchan Sohonten Orizuru tower; お好み焼みっちゃん総本店 おりづるタワー店
We had delicious Okonomiyaki a local specialty that a highly recommend trying.
We spent the final hour touring Hiroshima castle 🏯, interesting rooms, objects, weapons and other artifacts as well a view of the city from the reconstructed main tower.

Miyajima- so much more than you think

Tsukumoto made this tour worth it. His communication prior to the tour was timely and excellent. He had a suggested itinerary which we were able to modify to suit our thoughts. He notified us clearly where to find him and that he was at the meeting point. From the start he knew all of the key areas and best viewing points. His historical knowledge was excellent and he explained things for us to understand and appreciate the culture and importance of the area. There is soooo… much more to Miyajima that the majority of visitors miss but not with this tour. Tsukumoto took us to a quiet coffee shop away from the crowds. We visited the dark room under a temple where golden images are displayed and you need to feel your way using the wall. Be warned that Miyajima has a huge amount of steps once you leave the main ground level area so wear comfortable shoes and be able to do this climbing. It was well paced with us not feeling rushed. Tsukumoto took us to a chopstick shop as I mentioned that I wanted a special pair of chopsticks and he knew exactly where to go. As well he assisted with the explanation to the staff. He also knew where to find an area with cherry blossoms blooming and he took photos for us everywhere. Don’t miss out on what Miyajima has to offer- do this tour.

A meaningful day in Hiroshima

Tsukumoto-san was very good at setting expectations for the tour by contacting us by text ahead of our tour and was very considerate of special needs (our daughter is vegan). He picked us up from our hotel and we walked to the peace dome listening to the stories about the bombing and how his family and others were impacted. We visited the museum and afterwards we went to a vegan restaurant. After that we visited a castle, and then we went to a very beautiful Japanese garden. Throughout the tour he did his best to help us resolve issues and learn about the history of the sites. We are deeply grateful for an enjoyable day visiting Hiroshima.

Best Tour for a Short Visit
Atsushi-san was an incredibly well-researched and friendly tour guide. His knowledge allowed us to explore and get to the historical significance of the various locations we visited. His explanations were simple but comprehensive. The six hours flew by and included some off-the-beaten opportunities including coffee at a very austere but memorable location near the fish market. I would highly recommend him as well as this tour for anyone with limited time in Tokyo wanting see as much as possible

Our guide, Atsushi, was great! He met us at our hotel in Hakone and took us clockwise to tour all the sites. He was informative and taught us a lot. Our group was two adults and a 14 year old. We saw Mt Fuji from the rope way, but unfortunately the pirate ship was canceled because of high wind. We would absolutely use Atsushi again for this tour, or any other tour he provides.

Kazz gave a great one on one 8 hour custom tour of Kyoto
Ryoich Kazuma (Kazz) was an amazing guide! He picked me up at my hotel and expertly guided me around Kyoto, showing me a custom set of sites. His background revealed interesting facts about the sites and related Japanese culture. He photographed moments for me and later shared all the pictures, allowing me to enjoy the sites rather than focusing on taking all my own pictures. He prepared an itinerary in advance and gave me useful information about how much local currency would be needed as well as estimated admission and transportation costs. Basically have 15000 yen ready and use a Suica card and everything is easy! We had a lovely lunch around midday as well. I highly recommend the tour and can’t say enough good things about Kazz! Love every moment!!

The tour with Kazuma-san was absolutely great. As someone who has never taken a private tour before, I was unsure what to expect. Kazuma-san met us at our hotel, was very friendly and knowledgeable. His English is also good. As me and my mother took more time than planned at the different sites we visited, Kazuma-san was able to provide us with interesting explanations and history facts throughout it all, even smells of local flora, and he took photos for us even after the alloted 4 hours were over and we were on our way back. One highlight for me was a high end porcelain shop near kiyomizudera.

I’d recommend this to anyone who wants to get a feel for Kyoto’s temples and history.

Absolutely recommend!
I definitely recommend seeing some of the sights with a guide, we learned so many things we would’ve been clueless about had we done some of the temples and castles on our own. Kazz was a wonderful guide and took pictures of us with his nice camera everywhere we went, so we had a little photo album of our day at the end of it! We had so much fun and are extremely glad we did this. Thank you so much!!

Educational with kind, generous guide
My teenage sons and I learned so much about Tokyo and Japan in a few hours. We were very fortunate to have such an excellent guide! We highly recommend Ted and appreciated his knowledgeable and thoughtful sightseeing tour of Tokyo. He planned a wonderful itinerary for us and made it all happen, with excellent pacing of breaks and good conversation.

Can’t believe all that we got to see in 6 hours
We had a fantastic time with Ted, our guide. He contacted us prior to the trip to customize an itinerary that would have things of interest to everyone in our group. He shared helpful history for each of the places we visited, from Tsukigi market, Harujuku district, to Meiji Shrine. He had great recommendations for other parts of our trip. He is an expert at navigating the Tokyo train system. This tour is family friendly, but also very active in terms of walking to cover all the places we got to visit. The tour with Ted is definitely a highlight of our trip, I would highly recommend.

Our delightful guide, Norio, was knowledgeable and a master at train negotiation! A highlight of the tour was the Herb Garden and Ropeway visit. The Sake Brewery and Museum was interesting with fabulous explanation from Norio combined with outstanding exhibits and tastings! He then left us to wander at our leisure in Chinatown.

We learnt lots about Himeji castle and it was very interesting. The gardens were beautiful and it was great to see all the Koi fish. Norio made sure to take us to the best places and even took us to a great local sake place we asked for 🙂
