Title: What Is a Private Kyoto Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report Although there was some uncertainty because we had not been able to communicate in advance by email, the guests were cheerful, we were blessed with very good weather, and I believe they thoroughly enjoyed their first visit to Japan. Since they felt anxious about exchanging their JR Rail Pass, I showed them where to do it when we went to Kyoto Station. They mentioned that Sanjusangendo had been recommended to them by someone they met while traveling before coming to Japan. The guests seemed particularly interested in the Japanese language and used a variety of phrases. They still had about two weeks ahead of them, planning to stay in places such as Izu, Gujo Hachiman, and Tokyo, so I hope they continue to enjoy their trip.

Hi there, I’m Yuka. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I live in an onsen (hot spring) town in Hyogo prefecture. When I was working at Narita international airport as well as living in Bangkok Thailand for about 10 years, I really loved talking with people from various countries. After I came back to Japan, I got interested in guiding my beautiful country to people from abroad then I got the national guide license. I’m now working as a tour leader visiting mainly Tokyo, Hakone, Takayama, Hiroshima, Himeji and Kyoto for about 2 years. I’d like to introduce my country to you as your local friend in Japan. Hope to see you soon.

Hokkaido in One Day: Hakodate Morning Market & Red Brick Warehouse

    Tour Itinerary

    • 9:00 Hakodate Cruise Terminal pick up
    • 9:10 Hakodate Morning Market
    • 10:10 Goryokaku Tower
    • 11:20 Stroll inside Goryokaku Park
    • 12:30 Mount Hakodate
    • 13:30 Motomachi stroll
    • 14:20 Red Brick Warehouse (lunch)
    • 15:10 Hakodate Station front disband

What Is a Private Hakodate Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The weather was fine, though the wind was fairly strong. The morning market was crowded with passengers from a cruise ship. The guests seemed to have never seen king crab, octopus, squid, sea urchin, or Atka mackerel before, and eagerly took photos of the live ones. The tram stop is located somewhat far from the sightseeing areas, so some walking was required, but fortunately the guests did not mind walking. At first they did not quite grasp what Goryokaku was, but they were amazed when they saw the actual site from the tower. It was a day or two early for the cherry blossoms to bloom, but a few trees had begun to open, which delighted them. They were also moved by the view from Mount Hakodate, and were pleased when I took their photo. We strolled through the Motomachi district, and as I explained its history while walking, they listened attentively. Finally, we stopped by the Red Brick Warehouses for lunch, where I introduced a restaurant. They thoroughly enjoyed sushi made with fresh ingredients and were very satisfied.

Kyoto in One Day: Kyoto Station

    Tour Itinerary

    • 9:40 Kyoto Station → 10:05 Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Sannenzaka → 12:20 Gion Shirakawa → 13:20 Arashiyama Bamboo Grove Walk → 14:10 Philosopher's Path → 15:00 Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine → 16:15 See off the guests as they board the Special Rapid Service at Kyoto Station and finish

What Is a Private Kyoto Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on a 6-Hour Taxi Tour The guests contacted me via a messaging app to let me know they had arrived early at 9:15 a.m. by rapid train, so once I reached Kyoto Station at 9:28 a.m., I met them on the arrival platform and began the tour. Since one of the guests had some difficulty walking, the group requested a private chartered taxi, so I arranged a charter with a taxi driver at the taxi stand and started the tour. The guests had chosen their destinations with the aim of taking photographs (something I learned when meeting them today). After guiding them through Kiyomizu-dera Temple, I took them to a popular photo spot with a view of Hokan-ji Temple, where they took pictures. I took them to Hanamikoji Street, and when they asked if this was the most photogenic spot, I took them to Gion Shinbashi, which they liked and where they took photos. Since Kiyomizu-dera and Sannenzaka took some time, I let them know that if they stopped for lunch they would not be able to visit all their desired destinations within the 6 hours, so they purchased a smoothie at a convenience store and we continued the tour. For the bamboo grove walk, the taxi driver drove us to Torokko Arashiyama Station, and they took photos in front of the Okochi Sanso Garden. I mentioned that many of the cherry blossoms had already fallen along the Philosopher's Path, but as they still wished to go, I took them there. After guiding them through Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine, we returned by taxi to Kyoto Station, where I escorted the guests to the platform, saw them off as the train departed, and concluded the tour.

Title: What's a Full-Day Private Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Meiji Shrine, Tsukiji, Asakusa, and Akihabara Body: The guests were a group visiting from Europe. During the tour, one of the guests enjoyed taking photographs with a DSLR camera, which left a memorable impression. As arranged beforehand, we visited Meiji Shrine, Tsukiji, Asakusa, and Akihabara. At Meiji Shrine, the guests were deeply moved by the explanation of how Shinto and Buddhism coexist in Japan. At Tsukiji, they enjoyed seafood and sweets, taking their time to sample various foods while strolling. In Asakusa, the guests requested ramen for lunch, so we took a late lunch break. They also ordered gyoza and were delighted, saying it was the most delicious gyoza they had ever eaten. Our final stop was Akihabara. I guided the group from near Suehirocho Station toward the JR side. Since some of the guests were interested in anime and games, I pointed out major shops they could visit at their leisure after the tour, and we said our goodbyes at Radio Kaikan.

It was their first time in Japan, and they said it was completely different from other countries in Asia, with wonderful food and scenery. For the 6-hour tour, they said they wanted to visit at least three places, so we toured Mount Shosha, Koko-en Garden, and Himeji Castle. We were blessed with good weather, and although the cherry blossoms were almost finished, the guests were delighted by the beautiful fresh greenery. What Is a Private Guided Day Tour of Nara Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting from Europe. It was impressive how fluently they spoke English. This was a trip to Japan during a holiday break, and it was their first time taking a tour with a guide, but I believe they enjoyed it very much. Some of the guests seemed deeply moved by the history of Todai-ji Temple and Kasuga Taisha Shrine. Another of the guests had been looking forward to feeding the deer and delightedly interacted with them. Title: What's a Private One-Day Tokyo Tour Like When the Hotel Changes at the Last Minute? A Licensed Guide's Report I had been told the meeting point would be a hotel, but it seems the guests' travel agency forgot to inform [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) and me that they had changed hotels, and the guests were actually staying at a different hotel. After getting the guests' understanding that I would arrive about 30 minutes late, I rushed to the hotel. Upon arrival, I offered to extend the tour end time by about 30 minutes, but since they had another tour booked in the afternoon, I made an effort to shorten the time spent at each spot so I could bring them back to the hotel around 14:00. The guests were visitors from North America. At the first place I took them, Shinjuku Gyoen, we could still enjoy the late-blooming cherry blossoms. Soon the azaleas will likely be in full bloom. In Asakusa I shortened the course considerably, but since I learned that one of the guests liked Hello Kitty, I made sure to pass in front of a character goods store. We left Asakusa just before 14:00 and managed to return to the hotel by 14:20 to end the tour.

Hi. My name is Masafumi Miyazaki. Please call me “Sam”. I am a government-licensed guide.
I was born in Tokyo and was raised in the suburbs of Tokyo called Tama area. When I was in university, I majored in western dramas, so I am good at playing like an actor.
I like reading, listening to the music, and walking. I belong to several walking clubs, and sometimes I guide the members around Tokyo.
One of my strengths as a guide is that I know well about kombu, Japanese kelps. In December every year, I work at a traditional kombu shop in Tsukiji Fish Market. At that shop, I learned a lot of things related to kombu or other ingredients for washoku. I can explain the different characteristics of them to you.
Also, I am familiar with Japanese flowers and plants. If you stroll around a Japanese garden with me, I am sure you will be able to enjoy beautiful flowers and unique plants in every season.
I look forward to meeting you. Thank you.

What Can You See on a Private Kyoto Tour to Fushimi Inari, Arashiyama, and Nishiki Market? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from North America. They wanted above all to avoid the crowds and hoped to visit Fushimi Inari Taisha and Kiyomizu-dera early in the morning. When we met, however, they had already visited Kiyomizu-dera the previous day since their hotel was nearby. So we changed the itinerary to Fushimi Inari followed by the Arashiyama bamboo grove. Since they were going to Arashiyama anyway, I recommended Tenryu-ji Temple. After that, they said they very much wanted to visit Otagi Nenbutsu-ji Temple, so I guided them there. For lunch they wanted sushi, and especially fresh sea urchin, so I told them that they could enjoy fresh sea urchin at Nishiki Market and guided them there. At Nishiki Market, they ordered a pack of Hokkaido sea urchin for 9,500 yen and premium fatty tuna (otoro) for 5,500 yen, and enjoyed them with great delight. One of the guests mentioned having a Japanese-style room at home and expressed interest in antiques that would suit that room, so I guided them to several antique shops. By then it had become 2:00 p.m. They kindly said, "We'd like to keep looking around this area, so you can finish the guiding now," and we parted ways in front of an antique shop. They were very satisfied with today's tour.

I am an experienced guide, who live in Osaka. I have been a Government-Licensed Guide in English since 2018. I have already guided a lot of tourists overseas in Kansai Area, that is, in the vicinity of my prefecture, Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, Kobe, and Himeji. I am especially good at guiding in Kansai Area with sufficient knowledge of history, culture and transportation. I have guided people ranging from a small group of one or two to a group of 20-50 people in a big bus, that is, a coach. I like delicious food, because Osaka is a city of Kuidaorre, which means that people in Osaka love to eat and never spend too much money on food. Therefore, as an Osakan, I will do my best to explore restaurants which serve most delicious foods in wherever I take to my guests.

Title: What's a Private Family-Friendly Tokyo Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Tsukiji, Nezu Shrine, Asakusa, and Takeshita Street The guests were a group visiting from North America. Since they had asked in advance about what to do for breakfast, I suggested that we sample various foods at Tsukiji, and they were very much looking forward to it. They enjoyed sushi, sashimi, chopped octopus, seafood skewer dumplings, steak skewers, baby octopus skewers, and more, all of which they said were simply delicious, and everyone ate a great deal. When I checked whether it would be alright to skip lunch, they smiled and said that would be perfectly fine. I was amazed by how much one of the guests loved sushi and octopus, so much so that I was impressed to see such a hearty appetite. At Tsukiji Hongwanji Temple, the first stop, the reaction was so enthusiastic that I had rarely seen guests so delighted, and they photographed every one of the animal statues inside. At Nezu Shrine, they were delighted by the beautiful azaleas and the many red torii gates and took many photos. In Asakusa, they were so surprised by the number of tourists that they asked whether today was a special day, but they were especially drawn to the atmospheric buildings and my introductions to the oldest things in Japan. At the final stop on Takeshita Street, the guests were even more excited than expected, reacting strongly especially to all of the animal cafes, and I suspect they went into one of the shops after we parted ways. I introduced a ramen restaurant and some other shops before we said goodbye. They were a very close-knit group, and it was a pleasure to spend time together.

Nice to meet you. I am delighted to introduce myself. My nickname is Danda. I live in Saitama prefecture next to Tokyo, but I was brought up in Kanazawa, one of the most popular tourist destinations in Japan. My favorite things are bonsai and hiking. Also, I have been a big fun of history and sumo since my childhood. As for the guide, I have enjoyed making communication with foreign visitors since 2019. I have taken more than 30 private groups to not only major scenic spots but also their favorite places such as tea ceremony, maid cafe, sumo tournament, bonsai village, fire ritual and so on. I can arrange the original tour based on your requests and curiosity. It will be only for you. I look forward to meeting you soon. Thank you.

What Is a Private Kobe Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Nankinmachi, Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, and Nunobiki Herb Garden The guests were visitors from North America, and everything went smoothly. They seemed genuinely interested in Japan and listened attentively to my explanations. One of the guests enjoyed photography and frequently took pictures of the cityscape and other scenery. In Nankinmachi, they searched for the animals of their Chinese zodiac signs and took photos of them. They were also delighted to see the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge and the panoramic view of central Kobe from Nunobiki Herb Garden. After the tour, they expressed a desire to try "Kobe beef," so I recommended several restaurants. As it happened to be a special day for one of the guests, I presented them with a handmade drawstring pouch made by my sister, which they were very pleased to receive.

    Dear my guests,

This is (Mr.) Yama, greeting from Kobe, Japan.
I would like to warmly welcome you to Japan this time. I am from the city of Kobe, which is of course, well-known for very tasty Kobe Beef . You can taste
real genuine Kobe Beef here. Kobe is also called “Home of Japanese Sake” with lots of Sake breweries, and I recommend you would visit those breweries
if you have any interest in Japanese Sake as well as one aspect of Japanese cultures. Of course, you can have tastings of various kinds of Sake there.

Whenever during the tour, I always try to make it safe, pleasant and comfortable for all of the guests, which is my first priority. I am very much confident
that you can have a pleasant and unforgettable experience in Japan. Just tell me about your preference; what you would like to like to see, have, know
and eat and so on. Particularly, I hold the license for cooking qualified by the government here and maybe, I can reply you for questions related to the
foods here. In this respect, I strongly recommend you would try not only famous Japanese cuisine such as Sushi, Tempura or Suki-yaki but some
Japanese traditional local foods, like Tako-yaki, Okonomi-yaki and Kushkatsu. They are sometimes called the soul foods of Japan. Here is the brief
    explanation for these three foods.

    1) Tako-yaki
Tako-yaki is a snack filled with pieces of octopus in a batter of flour , egg and soup stock. You can call them octopus dumplings or balls. “Tako” means
octopus and “yaki” means grilled or broiled.
    2) Okonomi-yaki
This word Okonomi-yaki means “cook just as you like” and you can use whatever you like as toppings, such as beef, pork, shrimp, squid and octopus.
Okonomi-yaki is round shape and just like pancakes or pizza in shape mainly made from egg, flour and water.
    3) Kushi-katsu
Kushi-katsu is skewered cutlet or deep-fried foods on a stick. “Kushi” means skewer and “katsu” means cutlet. Various kinds of foods are used for
ingredients such as beef, pork, chicken, shrimp, squid, octopus and lots of kinds of vegetables.

Actually, the western Japan including Osaka, Kobe and Himeji is called as “Home of such local soul foods”. You should give it a try and I am sure
that you like them very much.

I sincerely hope that I can be your tour guide this time in Kobe, Osaka and Himeji. If my guests said to me after the tour, “I have had a very good
and pleasant time with you today. I hope I can come here again and name you as our guide”, which is my great pleasure. Moreover, I would be
great honored if they say “I like Japan now thanks to you”.

Looking forward to meeting you soon here.
