A Licensed Guide's Report The bus bound for Okunoin now runs via Daimon, which is the main entrance to Koyasan, so it has become easier to explain. Along the mountain paths where pilgrims climbed the steep slopes, and on both sides of Daimon, there is also the Nyonindo (Women's Pilgrimage Route). I think that if a sightseeing route could be developed from Jison-in (at the foot of Koyasan) to Niutsuhime Shrine and further on to Koyasan by car (a taxi being an essential condition), visitors would be able to understand the deeper, richer history of Koyasan as a whole.
