What Is a Private 3-Generation Family Kyoto Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report

The guests were a group visiting from North America. They were a warm and pleasant group, and at Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine we had a lively moment when I introduced the "Neagari no Matsu" pine and they prayed for a pay raise.

At Nijo Castle, the guests listened to the explanation within a short 30-minute visit, and in the Grand Hall one of the guests observed the shogun display very attentively. At Kinkaku-ji, they took many photos of the golden pavilion reflected on the water surface. We returned to the entrance without seeing the entire garden. Thanks to the driver's kind consideration, we were able to take a route that avoided the slope and stroll along the bamboo grove path, and the guests seemed deeply moved. Since one of the guests appeared tired, the original plan was to drop them off in Gion at the end and conclude the tour, but instead we returned directly to the Hotel and ended the tour there.
