Title: What's a Private Osaka Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Osaka Castle, Dotonbori, and Shinsaibashi The guests were a group visiting from North America, some of whom spoke a little Japanese. Despite the intense heat today, we were able to move around smoothly, but at Osaka Castle they spent a great deal of time taking in the sights carefully, and they also requested a break at the beer garden on the rooftop of the adjacent "Miraiza." As a result, we ended up skipping "Shinsekai," which had been on the plan. They seemed very satisfied with the view of Osaka Castle from there. At this point, I presented some of the guests with handmade drawstring pouches made by my guide's sister, which delighted them greatly, and they began using them right away. Afterwards, at "Dotonbori," they wanted to try "takoyaki," so I took them to a shop I recommend. At the last stop, "Shinsaibashi-suji," some of the guests visited a jewelry store and purchased a rather expensive pearl necklace. Perhaps due to the heat, they were a little tired, so we wrapped up about 30 minutes earlier than planned. Today's driver was also courteous in both manner and driving, and had extensive knowledge of each spot.

    Dear my guests,

This is (Mr.) Yama, greeting from Kobe, Japan.
I would like to warmly welcome you to Japan this time. I am from the city of Kobe, which is of course, well-known for very tasty Kobe Beef . You can taste
real genuine Kobe Beef here. Kobe is also called “Home of Japanese Sake” with lots of Sake breweries, and I recommend you would visit those breweries
if you have any interest in Japanese Sake as well as one aspect of Japanese cultures. Of course, you can have tastings of various kinds of Sake there.

Whenever during the tour, I always try to make it safe, pleasant and comfortable for all of the guests, which is my first priority. I am very much confident
that you can have a pleasant and unforgettable experience in Japan. Just tell me about your preference; what you would like to like to see, have, know
and eat and so on. Particularly, I hold the license for cooking qualified by the government here and maybe, I can reply you for questions related to the
foods here. In this respect, I strongly recommend you would try not only famous Japanese cuisine such as Sushi, Tempura or Suki-yaki but some
Japanese traditional local foods, like Tako-yaki, Okonomi-yaki and Kushkatsu. They are sometimes called the soul foods of Japan. Here is the brief
    explanation for these three foods.

    1) Tako-yaki
Tako-yaki is a snack filled with pieces of octopus in a batter of flour , egg and soup stock. You can call them octopus dumplings or balls. “Tako” means
octopus and “yaki” means grilled or broiled.
    2) Okonomi-yaki
This word Okonomi-yaki means “cook just as you like” and you can use whatever you like as toppings, such as beef, pork, shrimp, squid and octopus.
Okonomi-yaki is round shape and just like pancakes or pizza in shape mainly made from egg, flour and water.
    3) Kushi-katsu
Kushi-katsu is skewered cutlet or deep-fried foods on a stick. “Kushi” means skewer and “katsu” means cutlet. Various kinds of foods are used for
ingredients such as beef, pork, chicken, shrimp, squid, octopus and lots of kinds of vegetables.

Actually, the western Japan including Osaka, Kobe and Himeji is called as “Home of such local soul foods”. You should give it a try and I am sure
that you like them very much.

I sincerely hope that I can be your tour guide this time in Kobe, Osaka and Himeji. If my guests said to me after the tour, “I have had a very good
and pleasant time with you today. I hope I can come here again and name you as our guide”, which is my great pleasure. Moreover, I would be
great honored if they say “I like Japan now thanks to you”.

Looking forward to meeting you soon here.
    Doomo Arigato Gozaimasu!

Title: What Is a Private Guided Tour of Miyajima and the Peace Park in Hiroshima Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting Japan from North America. They enjoyed the sightseeing in a lively and cheerful manner. At the Peace Park, the group discussed topics such as nuclear issues and reconstruction, which showed a strong interest in peace and was educational for me as well. As the day was extremely hot, we made sure to stay hydrated and take measures against the heat while I guided them around Miyajima and the Peace Park. At the end, the museum was very crowded, as it was the start of summer vacation and a three-day weekend, and I felt that some of the guests seemed a little tired. However, in the end everyone was in good spirits, and we parted ways with smiles.

Hi! My name is Kazuhisa To. After completing graduate school, I moved to Hiroshima—and have now lived here for over 42 years. I earned a Ph.D. through a national university’s professional program while working at Mazda Motor Corporation. Five years before retiring from the company, I was seconded to Hiroshima University, a national university, where I served as a specially appointed professor. In addition to my domestic career, I spent a total of about five and a half years living and working abroad. These international experiences have given me valuable cross-cultural understanding and the ability to connect comfortably with guests from around the world. Currently, as a Hiroshima Prefectural Government Licensed Guide Interpreter, I introduce visitors not only to famous attractions such as Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and Miyajima, but also to the local lifestyle, culture, and culinary delights, tailored to your interests. I hope to provide each guest with a memorable experience that stays in your heart.

What Does a Private One-Day Tour of Tokyo Look Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Rikugien, Nezu Shrine, Asakusa, and Meiji Shrine When I arrived at the meeting point at the Hotel, the guests had just finished breakfast in the dining area on the first floor, so we were able to meet quite early. The guests were visiting from North America. After they purchased a one-day subway pass at the nearest station, Higashi-Ginza, we set off. I chose four destinations: Rikugien, Nezu Shrine, Asakusa, and Meiji Shrine. They had originally hoped to visit the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace, but since it was a Monday, I took them to Rikugien first instead. Unfortunately, it was rainy, so I made the course a little shorter than usual. The weather improved in the afternoon, and from around Asakusa onward I believe the guests were able to enjoy the tour while taking photos. Although we moved a little ahead of schedule in the morning, we spent some extra time shopping in Asakusa, and since Meiji Shrine was somewhat far from the other spots, we ended up finishing almost exactly on time. As the guests were familiar with the way back from Higashi-Ginza Station, we parted ways in front of the Kabukiza Tower.

Hi. My name is Masafumi Miyazaki. Please call me “Sam”. I am a government-licensed guide.
I was born in Tokyo and was raised in the suburbs of Tokyo called Tama area. When I was in university, I majored in western dramas, so I am good at playing like an actor.
I like reading, listening to the music, and walking. I belong to several walking clubs, and sometimes I guide the members around Tokyo.
One of my strengths as a guide is that I know well about kombu, Japanese kelps. In December every year, I work at a traditional kombu shop in Tsukiji Fish Market. At that shop, I learned a lot of things related to kombu or other ingredients for washoku. I can explain the different characteristics of them to you.
Also, I am familiar with Japanese flowers and plants. If you stroll around a Japanese garden with me, I am sure you will be able to enjoy beautiful flowers and unique plants in every season.
I look forward to meeting you. Thank you.

What Does a Private One-Day Tour of Tokyo Look Like? A Licensed Guide's Report [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) guide led a private one-day tour of Tokyo's major sightseeing spots for guests visiting from North America. One of the guests had visited Tokyo about 40 years ago but had never done any sightseeing there, so we focused on showing the main attractions of Tokyo. Since their accommodation was near Shimbashi, we first walked along Ginza Street toward the 4-chome intersection, introducing several spots including Cafe Paulista along the way. We then took the subway to our first destination, Meiji Shrine. As it was a Sunday morning, I mentioned Shinto-style weddings, and just then we came across an actual wedding procession of a bride and groom led by a priest, accompanied by relatives. The guests took many photos and actively participated in the purification at the water pavilion and in offering prayers. At Takeshita Street in Harajuku, they were surprised by a mini-pig cafe, and at the Pepper Parlor in Shibuya FUKURAS, one of the guests was delighted by the cute robots. For lunch, the guests wanted somewhere they could have a Japanese-style meal, so after visiting the Imperial Palace, I took them to Suju Dining inside the Shin-Marunouchi Building. One guest ordered a wagyu beef steak and the other a set meal of grilled miso-marinated cod, and both said it was delicious and finished everything. Afterward, at Tokyo Station, I helped at the Midori-no-Madoguchi ticket office with activating a JR Pass that had not been validated at the airport upon arrival in Japan, as well as issuing Shinkansen tickets for their trip to a regional area the following day. It was not crowded and everything went smoothly, so the procedures were completed without stress, and the guests seemed reassured about the rest of their itinerary. Finally, although we went a little over time, the guests wanted to see Asakusa as well, so we also visited Senso-ji Temple. On the way back to the hotel from Asakusa, we accessed it from Ginza Station, and at that time of day Ginza Street had become a pedestrian paradise, so the guests thoroughly enjoyed strolling along the pedestrian-only main street of Ginza.

What Is a Private Hiroshima Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on the Peace Park and Hiroshima Castle The guests were a group visiting Japan from North America. Rain had been forecast for the day, but they never needed an umbrella, and although warm days had been continuing, the temperature stayed below 30°C even in the afternoon, allowing them to sightsee comfortably. Since the group wished to also visit Hiroshima Castle, during the itinerary planning stage beforehand I arranged for the tour to conclude inside the museum, which made it possible to allow plenty of time at the Peace Memorial Park, including the museum. I explained to the guests which bus stop to use to return to Hiroshima Station, and afterward they reported that they had been able to return to Hiroshima Station smoothly.

After taking a break with some ice cream, we moved on to Asakusa. After viewing the buildings and the carp, we strolled along Nishi-Sando and Shin-Nakamise. Hello! I am Kyoko who has been working as a guide since 2017. I was born in Kyoto. So, my name comes from Kyoto which is Japan’s beautiful ancient capital . And “ko” literally means child in Japanese. Thus, my name Kyoko means Kyoto’s child, Kyoko. But some guests call me Kyoto. It’s okay, not a big problem.
But to say the truth, I feel like this, ” Am I like an ancient person? No way~!!…” I am mainly guiding in and around Tokyo. Tokyo has two faces of well-advanced and old-fashioned. So, you can enjoy both high-tech technology and historical culture plus delicious food and drinks, too. You will surely be inspired in this city with me. Anyway, looking forward to meeting you in the near future. Thank you in advance!

Title: What's a Private Miyajima and Hiroshima Peace Memorial Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report I guided a group visiting from North America. The guests wished to travel from Ujina Port to Miyajima by high-speed boat, but there was some concern about whether we would make it in time for departure. In the end, we managed to board just in time. At Miyajima it happened to be low tide, so the guests were able to walk all the way out to the Great Torii Gate, and they appeared very satisfied. Afterwards, along the main approach, they requested about 30 minutes of free time, and enjoyed strolling and browsing the souvenir shops. In the end the free time extended to an hour, but they seemed very pleased. I had hoped to have them try okonomiyaki, but every restaurant was full, so they purchased light snacks at a convenience store. At the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, I explained the "Doomsday Clock," describing how the clock is designed to symbolically self-destruct should the crisis advance further. I also introduced Einstein's famous words: "I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones." The guests appeared deeply moved by these words. Finally, at the guests' request, in order to allow ample time before departure, we ended the tour 20 minutes earlier than planned and returned to Ujina Port by taxi.

What's a Private Cruise Port Tour of Hiroshima Like from Ujina Port? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting from North America who arrived at Ujina Port aboard a large cruise ship, so I went to the port to meet them. More than 2,400 passengers were on board, so I was a little worried about whether we would be able to find each other, but because we had communicated frequently beforehand, we met right away and greeted each other warmly. At first, the guests had hoped to visit the Peace Memorial Park and Miyajima, but they needed to be back on the cruise ship by 16:30. I presented an itinerary, but considering the heat and the crowds, they decided it would be difficult, and instead of Miyajima they asked me to take them to the Pokémon Center at Hiroshima Station to surprise and delight the group. At the Peace Memorial Park, everyone listened intently and asked many questions. The museum was extremely crowded, but since they had purchased web tickets in advance, I used the waiting time to explain the photographs we were about to see so that no time would be wasted. Everyone did their best to fold paper cranes, and we were able to offer them at the Children's Peace Monument. For lunch they enjoyed okonomiyaki, saying it was very delicious. When we went to the Pokémon Center, their eyes lit up, and they bought so much that it could barely fit in the basket, and we took commemorative photos in front of the Pokémon displays. We were able to catch the return bus as planned and I safely delivered them back within the designated time. At the end, I joined them for a commemorative photo, and we said goodbye with a hug. They were a very close-knit group, and it was a pleasure to guide them.

Hi! I am Kazuha from Onomichi City in Hiroshima Prefecture. Please call me Kazu chan. I was a teacher for 37 years, and retired last year. After that, I traveled a lot, and met a guide who made my travel much more interesting than other travel. It has become a life-time memory. So I decided to be an interpreter guide to help foreign tourists. I would love to help you to make your travel more interesting and exciting!
I have guided Onomichi, and two World Cultural Heritage sites :Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, and Miyajima. Onomichi is my hometown and the starting point for the Shimanami-kaido to Shikoku Island. It prospered from the 12th century to the 19th century, and was not bombed during the war. So we can still enjoy finding unique Japanese culture while walking. Let’s explore Hiroshima and make your travel special!

Title: What's a Private Hakone Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Owakudani and the Open-Air Museum To avoid the summer crowds and to secure a view of Mount Fuji, the nearby Open-Air Museum was left for later, and reaching Owakudani was made the top priority. The view was not perfect, but fortunately Mount Fuji was visible. Ten minutes later it was hidden by clouds and could not be seen again for the rest of the day. It really is unpredictable. Compared with where they come from in North America, the scenery here is rich and varied, and both the ropeway and the pirate ship were enjoyed with great enthusiasm. The presentation at Maruyama was greatly enjoyed, and after taking video, shopping was also enjoyed. The guests were delighted. At the Open-Air Museum, the kids' corner was enjoyed. As with the previous day, the guests planned to have dinner out on their own in Hakone-Yumoto, so we parted ways at that station.
