What's a Half-Day Private Tour of Nagoya Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting from North America. After spending several days each in Tokyo, Karuizawa, and Kyoto, they made a stop in Nagoya. Since it was an extremely hot day, we avoided walking outdoors as much as possible and used a combination of public transportation and taxis to enjoy a smooth half-day tour. I guided them to Nagoya's most representative sights, Nagoya Castle and Atsuta Shrine, and they viewed them with great interest in the historical background. At Atsuta Shrine they drew an omikuji fortune, and when I translated the contents into English for them, they were very delighted. They also enjoyed a break with cold sweets at an open-air cafe within the shrine grounds. As they said they would love to come back to Japan for sightseeing again, I shared some areas that I recommend.

    • 16:10-17:00 Fushimi Inari Taisha visit
    • 17:00 Tour ended after visiting Fushimi Inari Taisha. After that, we saw them off at Keihan Shichijo and said goodbye.

What Is a Private One-Day Kyoto Tour Like in Summer? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting from Europe, and it was their first time in Kyoto. I took them to Sanjusangen-do, Kiyomizu-dera (including Yasaka Pagoda and Koshin-do), and Fushimi Inari. The tour ran from 11:00 to 17:00, during the hottest part of the day (Kyoto reached 37 degrees today), so I proceeded while building in some rest breaks along the way. The comment from the group was that Kiyomizu-dera was the highlight. The guests said each place was wonderful in its own way. Perhaps because of the heat, the sites we visited were not very crowded.

Can You Do a Private 6-Hour Walking Tour of Kanazawa in Summer? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting from Europe. Because they had requested a simple tea experience in advance, the tour started with a plan to include it at either Kenrokuen Garden or Gyokusen'in. It was a hot day, so I made a point of using shade as much as possible when giving explanations outdoors, and I balanced the itinerary with indoor visits (the Hishi Yagura turret, the Gojikken Nagaya storehouse, the Hashizumemon Tsuzuki Yagura turret, and a gold leaf shop). By combining these with a meal (lunch at a soba restaurant in the Higashi Chaya District) and breaks (gold leaf soft serve ice cream and tea), I believe the guests were able to enjoy the 6-hour tour without stress even under the blazing sun.

What Is a Private Osaka Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from Oceania. On this occasion, communication with the local travel agency did not go smoothly right up to the end. Initially, the guests were said to want an afternoon start with some kind of "food-walking tour," which differed from the content of the confirmation sheet, and clarifying this took considerable time. We started the tour under these circumstances, but the guests did not seem to fully understand the itinerary that had been confirmed with the agency. As the guide, I had understood that they wanted a "food-walking tour," but when I checked, they said, "We are not hungry in the morning, so it is not needed." As a result, we had a great deal of extra time, so I asked about their wishes on the spot and guided them to Shitennoji Temple and Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine. In the end, the tour ran about 45 minutes over the scheduled time. I believe the guests were reasonably satisfied with visiting each spot. I presented a handmade drawstring pouch made by my sister, which was warmly received. Finally, the guests said they wanted to eat okonomiyaki, so I guided them to a restaurant near the hotel, where we parted ways.

    Dear my guests,

This is (Mr.) Yama, greeting from Kobe, Japan.
I would like to warmly welcome you to Japan this time. I am from the city of Kobe, which is of course, well-known for very tasty Kobe Beef . You can taste
real genuine Kobe Beef here. Kobe is also called “Home of Japanese Sake” with lots of Sake breweries, and I recommend you would visit those breweries
if you have any interest in Japanese Sake as well as one aspect of Japanese cultures. Of course, you can have tastings of various kinds of Sake there.

Whenever during the tour, I always try to make it safe, pleasant and comfortable for all of the guests, which is my first priority. I am very much confident
that you can have a pleasant and unforgettable experience in Japan. Just tell me about your preference; what you would like to like to see, have, know
and eat and so on. Particularly, I hold the license for cooking qualified by the government here and maybe, I can reply you for questions related to the
foods here. In this respect, I strongly recommend you would try not only famous Japanese cuisine such as Sushi, Tempura or Suki-yaki but some
Japanese traditional local foods, like Tako-yaki, Okonomi-yaki and Kushkatsu. They are sometimes called the soul foods of Japan. Here is the brief
    explanation for these three foods.

    1) Tako-yaki
Tako-yaki is a snack filled with pieces of octopus in a batter of flour , egg and soup stock. You can call them octopus dumplings or balls. “Tako” means
octopus and “yaki” means grilled or broiled.
    2) Okonomi-yaki
This word Okonomi-yaki means “cook just as you like” and you can use whatever you like as toppings, such as beef, pork, shrimp, squid and octopus.
Okonomi-yaki is round shape and just like pancakes or pizza in shape mainly made from egg, flour and water.
    3) Kushi-katsu
Kushi-katsu is skewered cutlet or deep-fried foods on a stick. “Kushi” means skewer and “katsu” means cutlet. Various kinds of foods are used for
ingredients such as beef, pork, chicken, shrimp, squid, octopus and lots of kinds of vegetables.

Actually, the western Japan including Osaka, Kobe and Himeji is called as “Home of such local soul foods”. You should give it a try and I am sure
that you like them very much.

I sincerely hope that I can be your tour guide this time in Kobe, Osaka and Himeji. If my guests said to me after the tour, “I have had a very good
and pleasant time with you today. I hope I can come here again and name you as our guide”, which is my great pleasure. Moreover, I would be
great honored if they say “I like Japan now thanks to you”.

Looking forward to meeting you soon here.

Title: What's a Private Himeji Castle Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Himeji Castle and Koko-en Garden Today's guests were a group visiting Japan for the first time from Oceania. Getting everyone together was quite a challenge today. The guests were not using a messaging app, so we exchanged all information by email. The tour was scheduled to start at 10:00. While the guide was waiting at Himeji Station, an email arrived saying, "We will arrive at Himeji Station at 9:54 on a train from Osaka." Judging from the arrival time, it seemed they were on a rapid service train rather than the Shinkansen. However, well past 10:00 they still had not appeared (at this point I contacted [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/)). After exchanging messages several times with the guests, they said, "We have just departed from Higashi-Himeji Station." It turned out they were on a local train rather than the rapid service. When we finally met, they said they had boarded the wrong train. The rapid train from Osaka becomes a local train after Akashi Station. This switch is really too difficult for travelers from overseas. After we successfully met up, we visited the Castle View spot and Himeji Castle, and finished the tour at Koko-en Garden. Today was once again extremely hot. I gave the explanations about Himeji Castle mainly in shaded areas, took breaks as needed, and we went around slowly. At Koko-en Garden the guests said, "We will sightsee on our own from here," so we concluded the tour there. The guests kindly thanked me.

Hello, my name is Norio Oki, a Government-Certified Tour Guide in Japan.
I specialize in guiding visitors through the beautiful and historic regions of Himeji and Kobe.

My expertise includes Japanese history, traditional culture, castles, and sake. I enjoy sharing not only facts, but also the stories and spirit behind each place.

In Himeji, I offer guided tours of Himeji Castle, Kokoen Garden, Shoshazan Engyoji Temple, and Nadagiku Sake Brewery.
In Kobe, I guide guests through the Nada Sake Breweries area, Mt. Rokko, Kobe Nunobiki Herb Garden, Harborland, Meriken Park, the Kitano District, Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, and the lively Motomachi Shopping Street.

Whether you’re interested in history, nature, or local experiences, I will create a personalized tour tailored to your interests.

If you’re planning to visit Himeji or Kobe, I would be delighted to be your guide.
I look forward to meeting you soon!

What's a Private Hakone Day Tour Like from Tokyo? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from Europe, and they remarked that the scenery was very different from home. Some of the guests were more fluent in English than others. As usual, Mount Fuji was hidden from view, but the group enjoyed the black eggs at Owakudani. Since they are sold in sets of four, I received one. On the pirate ship on Lake Ashi, one of the guests walked around taking photos in various spots. At a rice bowl restaurant, we had an enjoyable meal with an introduction in Japanese, and a staff member took a photo for the group. During the presentation at a local shop, there was video recording and the purchase of a puzzle box, and at the nearby samurai photo corner I took a photo of the whole group together. Since they had missed one of the bullet trains from Tokyo the previous day, and there could be no mistakes for today's trip to Nagoya, I escorted them all the way to the ticket gate.

Title: What Is a Private Tokyo Tour Like at Tsukiji Outer Market? A Licensed Guide's Report The tour started in Tokyo as the beginning of an approximately two-week trip around Japan for a group from North America. The plan was to travel from the next day to the cooler summer retreats of Jigokudani Monkey Park and Hakuba in Nagano Prefecture, skipping Kyoto and Osaka because of the heat, and then return to Tokyo before heading home. After a briefing on the history of Tokyo and Japan, we headed to the Tsukiji Outer Market. Upon arriving, the group bought tuna sushi and ate it standing up. They then started drinking beer, enjoyed charcoal-grilled crab, shrimp, and scallops, and were very pleased after purchasing two nakiri knives and three santoku knives.

What Is a Private Hiroshima and Miyajima Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting from Europe. As they also understood Spanish, the tour was conducted in a mix of English and Spanish. Since it was a large group and some of the guests were beginners in both English and Spanish, the explanations (and translations) took a little more time. They also requested plenty of time for lunch and shopping. One of the guests mentioned having visited Hiroshima once before. At that time Miyajima was at high tide, so today's low tide worked out perfectly. I guided them to Shukkeien Garden, explained how to get back to the hotel and gave information about the Shinkansen for the next day, and then the tour concluded. For this booking, the guests were not registered on the messaging app and there had been no reply even through the [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) system, so I had been somewhat anxious about whether the tour would actually take place.

Hi. I’m Michi. I’m a national licensed tour guide in English.
I want to introduce many faces and charms of Japan and make your stay in Japan more fascinating and satisfying.

I was born and raised in Hiroshima. My first tour in English was as a volunteer guide for the visitors to my school when I was a junior high school student. It gave me a great opportunity to study about the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima.
I spent my life in Hiroshima except for 6 years; 1 year in the UK as a student and 5 years working in Singapore and Malaysia. During this period I enjoyed meeting and talking with people from different cultural backgrounds.
These experiences encouraged me to be a licensed tour guide.

In Hiroshima, there are two famous World Heritage Sites, the Atomic Bomb Dome in the Hiroshima Peace Memorial & Itsukushima Shrine in Miyajima.
I have experienced many tours of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum & Park since I was a junior high school student. I would like to introduce you to the a-bomb legacies that are still existing in the city and the stories under the mushroom cloud.
I also would like to share time with you on a historic island, Miyajima. There is one of the most famous Shinto shrines, the Itsukushima Shrine. We can share an enjoyable time by exploring a sacred atmosphere, tradition, nature, food, etc.

I am also an official ‘A-bomb legacy successor’ designated by the City of Hiroshima. An A-bomb Legacy Successor is a memory keeper of the A-bomb survivors. To ensure that the A-bomb survivors’ experiences and desires for peace are faithfully inherited and shared with as many people as possible, the City has started a three-year training program for official ‘A-bomb Legacy Successors. ‘

Let me support your stay in Japan and I look forward to showing you the best of Japan!
    Hope to see you soon!

What Is a Private Kobe Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Nankinmachi, Ikuta Shrine, and Kobe Beef I was able to meet the guests a little early, so we headed to Nankinmachi. Since it was just after 10:00 and the shops were not yet open, I took them to the Motomachi Shopping Street, where we looked at a kimono shop. There was an obi that caught their interest, but they decided not to buy it as it would add to their luggage. As we had some time, I took them to the food floor of a department store, where they looked with great interest at the fresh fish section and the cake counter. After that, I took them to Ikuta Shrine, and since they wanted to eat Kobe beef, we went to a Kobe beef restaurant in Sannomiya. They kindly praised it as very delicious, and as there were no other customers, I introduced them to amidakuji, which was a lot of fun. Afterward, I took them to the Nunobiki Herb Garden, and since they were planning to go to Kyoto after this tour, I took them to Shin-Kobe Station, where we bought round-trip Shinkansen tickets, and the tour ended.

Hello, my name is Harumi, and I am a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter in Japan. I have been actively involved in volunteer activities for many years, sharing my passion for Japanese culture and history. As a kimono dressing instructor, I can provide hands-on kimono experiences and guide tours. Additionally, I have extensive knowledge of sumo wrestling, making my tours ideal for those interested in this fascinating sport. I am also well-versed in Important Preservation Districts for Groups of Traditional Buildings (Jūdenken) and can introduce historical townscapes dating back to the Edo period. If you are interested, I would be happy to show you around the sake brewing process in the Nada region.

What's a Full-Day Private Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Tsukiji, the Imperial Palace, Meiji Shrine, and Shibuya The guests were visitors from North America, making their first trip to Japan. They were using an extended holiday that could only be taken during this season. Many people around them had traveled to Japan and had very positive impressions, which inspired them to visit. They planned to stay in Tokyo for a week, so the goal of today was to visit the main areas and get a sense of what to do in the following days. We started at the Tsukiji Outer Market. Both love seafood, so they were looking forward to returning in the coming days. They were amazed by the taste of the tuna they sampled at the market. After explaining the differences between Buddhism and Shinto and the influence each has had on Japanese culture at Namiyoke Shrine and Higashi Honganji, we headed to the Imperial Palace, where I also explained the relationship between Japan's imperial family and Shinto. They had never known anything about Shinto before and said they wanted to study it more on their own. After Shinjuku Golden Gai, we headed to Meiji Shrine, where they experienced Shinto once again. Our final stop was the Shibuya Crossing, and they said they would like to come back to Shibuya another day as well. Finally, I accompanied them to JR Meguro Station to explain their route back to the hotel, and we ended the tour there. It was a tour in extreme heat, and since they were not used to walking much, they seemed quite tired after the 6-hour tour, but we completed it safely.

    Hello and welcome to Tokyo!

I have been working for business with American companies for many years. I have many experiences guiding customers from around the world in Japan and taking Japanese customers to the USA and Europe.

I now have a national license as a guiding interpreter, and I want to introduce the unique gigantic city of Tokyo and the traditional Japanese culture, which is not shown in the guidebooks, to people worldwide who are interested in it. In addition, I want to introduce various Japanese foods you can enjoy only in Japan.
Unique experiences such as the Sumo Training Viewing and Tea Ceremony are optionally available.
Depending on your preference and itinerary, I can guide you in Tokyo, Kamakura, and Hakone so that you can enjoy your time in Japan.
