What Is a Private Osaka Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report I sent three emails to the address provided by [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/), but they had not been received (or read?), and I also sent a text message to the phone number, but the guests had been in Asia and could not read it, so this was my first experience of a tour with no prior communication at all — a completely improvised start. We had a brief meeting at the Hotel and then began the tour. The guests said they did not need to go up either Osaka Castle or Tsutenkaku Tower. Instead, they preferred to walk around the city, taking photos of anything that caught their interest or seemed unusual — a very contemporary tourist style. The guests handled the walking well despite the heat. After enjoying the street food at Kuromon Market, they said they also wanted to try okonomiyaki, so I took them to a popular restaurant. I hope I was able to convey at least a little of the charm of Osaka.

Can You Do a Private One-Day Tour of Tokyo's Imperial Palace and Meiji Shrine? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting Japan for the first time, arriving from North America. They had reached Tokyo the day before, and today marked the start of their first full day. I spread out a map of Tokyo, gave an overview of the city, and together we roughly decided on the places to visit and the order before setting off. At Shiomi Station, purchasing the one-day JR and subway passes took a little time due to a machine malfunction, but we successfully obtained passes for everyone. On the way from Tokyo Station to Otemon, walking through the underground shopping arcade and above ground, they repeatedly expressed admiration for how clean the city was. At the Imperial Palace, they enjoyed the contrast between the Edo period and the modern era, and they also enjoyed strolling through the forest of Meiji Shrine, which has grown over a hundred years.

What Is a Private One-Day Kyoto Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report Covering Kiyomizu-dera, Fushimi Inari, and Kinkaku-ji I guided a group visiting Kyoto from Oceania. They were friends, and being young and energetic, they moved from place to place smoothly. In the morning I had been waiting at the hotel, but I suddenly received a message that they were having breakfast at the McDonald's inside Kyoto Station and wanted to meet there, so we met at the McDonald's. They asked me, "Please leave the entire itinerary up to you as our guide," so I proposed a standard course visiting Kiyomizu-dera, Fushimi Inari, Kinkaku-ji, and Nishiki Market, which they agreed to, and we set off on that route. Kiyomizu-dera, which is always crowded, had fewer school excursion students, making it easier to guide. We used the bus and train to travel to Fushimi Inari Taisha, and everything went smoothly. After Fushimi Inari, I guided them to Kinkaku-ji, and although it was humid and hot, the guests kept up well and listened attentively, nodding along to my explanations. Finally, after I guided them through Nishiki Market, the guiding end time arrived, so we parted ways after receiving their thanks. They planned to explore the market and shopping streets on their own afterward, including lunch.

After a rather long teaching experience at Japanese college, I converted my career about 6 years ago into working as a tour guide for the tourists visiting Japan.
As my career overseas, I’ve been in the UN and the Japanese Embassy, all in the USA, totaling more than 6 years.
And then I had made a big change in my career from a diplomat to an academic researcher. For that career to achieve, I studied abroad and won a doctorate degree in linguistics from Indiana University and landed a teaching position at college in Japan.
With all these interesting and exciting experiences I’ve made myself ready to enrich your tour and make it both enjoyable and worthwhile.

What Is a Private Osaka Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Osaka Castle and Namba The guests were a group visiting Osaka. They had just arrived in Japan the day before, so they seemed to still have a bit of jet lag. We walked to the ticket booth for the Gozabune boat at Osaka Castle and were able to board the boat departing at 10:10. Although I myself have been to Osaka Castle many times, this was my first time riding the Gozabune boat. It was quite interesting, as we could see areas that cannot be reached on foot. After Osaka Castle, we headed to Namba. We went to the post office to pick up a Wi-Fi device, but unfortunately the package had not arrived, so it could not be collected. After that, we had lunch at Tsuruhashi Fugetsu. We had planned to go to Dotonbori, but since one of the guests was sleepy, we returned to the Hotel.

What Is a Private Kyoto Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Kinkaku-ji and Local Dining The guests were a group who had previously visited Japan several times, and this time some of the destinations were places they had already seen before, but they wanted to share the experience with the rest of the group. One of the guests was a bit shy and had a habit of sitting down frequently. They were quiet at first but opened up toward the end of the tour. The original plan was to sightsee at Kinkaku-ji before eating, but since the group was hungry, we changed the plan and had lunch first, then visited Kinkaku-ji afterward. After that, we returned to the Hotel by taxi and parted ways.

Title: What's a Private Day Tour of Osaka Castle and Umeda Sky Building Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group of three, and they moved around smoothly. They showed great interest in both Osaka Castle and the Umeda Sky Building, and asked many questions. At Osaka Castle, the elevator was under maintenance; normally visitors can use the elevator up to the fifth floor, but during this period everyone except those with disabilities had to use the stairs. The guests were able to climb to the top floor without any problem. Incidentally, the maintenance is scheduled from the 8th of this month until the 23rd of next month. At the Umeda Sky Building, they had booked the popular "Heart Lock" online in advance, and they entered their name and date, appearing very satisfied. As they wanted to have a meal, I recommended an okonomiyaki restaurant in Dotonbori that I suggest to guests, and after guiding them to the taxi stand, we parted ways. Information: The admission fee for the Umeda Sky Building will increase significantly from the current 1,500 yen to 2,000 yen starting on the 1st of next month. (The elementary school student fee will be reduced.)

    Dear my guests,

This is (Mr.) Yama, greeting from Kobe, Japan.
I would like to warmly welcome you to Japan this time. I am from the city of Kobe, which is of course, well-known for very tasty Kobe Beef . You can taste
real genuine Kobe Beef here. Kobe is also called “Home of Japanese Sake” with lots of Sake breweries, and I recommend you would visit those breweries
if you have any interest in Japanese Sake as well as one aspect of Japanese cultures. Of course, you can have tastings of various kinds of Sake there.

Whenever during the tour, I always try to make it safe, pleasant and comfortable for all of the guests, which is my first priority. I am very much confident
that you can have a pleasant and unforgettable experience in Japan. Just tell me about your preference; what you would like to like to see, have, know
and eat and so on. Particularly, I hold the license for cooking qualified by the government here and maybe, I can reply you for questions related to the
foods here. In this respect, I strongly recommend you would try not only famous Japanese cuisine such as Sushi, Tempura or Suki-yaki but some
Japanese traditional local foods, like Tako-yaki, Okonomi-yaki and Kushkatsu. They are sometimes called the soul foods of Japan. Here is the brief
    explanation for these three foods.

    1) Tako-yaki
Tako-yaki is a snack filled with pieces of octopus in a batter of flour , egg and soup stock. You can call them octopus dumplings or balls. “Tako” means
octopus and “yaki” means grilled or broiled.
    2) Okonomi-yaki
This word Okonomi-yaki means “cook just as you like” and you can use whatever you like as toppings, such as beef, pork, shrimp, squid and octopus.
Okonomi-yaki is round shape and just like pancakes or pizza in shape mainly made from egg, flour and water.
    3) Kushi-katsu
Kushi-katsu is skewered cutlet or deep-fried foods on a stick. “Kushi” means skewer and “katsu” means cutlet. Various kinds of foods are used for
ingredients such as beef, pork, chicken, shrimp, squid, octopus and lots of kinds of vegetables.

Actually, the western Japan including Osaka, Kobe and Himeji is called as “Home of such local soul foods”. You should give it a try and I am sure
that you like them very much.

I sincerely hope that I can be your tour guide this time in Kobe, Osaka and Himeji. If my guests said to me after the tour, “I have had a very good
and pleasant time with you today. I hope I can come here again and name you as our guide”, which is my great pleasure. Moreover, I would be
great honored if they say “I like Japan now thanks to you”.

Looking forward to meeting you soon here.

What Is a Private Hiroshima and Miyajima Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report There was a bit of difficulty meeting up at the station, but we were able to catch the scheduled bus and start the tour on time. The guest also kept track of the timing, so we proceeded almost exactly on schedule. The weather forecast predicted clear skies all day, but it rained very heavily while we traveled from the Peace Memorial Park via Nishi-Hiroshima Station, which was worrying. Just as the radar on the weather app had indicated, the rain stopped precisely as we arrived at Miyajimaguchi, which was very fortunate. I was able to hear a variety of stories, from campus life during the pandemic to issues surrounding the healthcare insurance system in North America.

Hi, I’m Kahori, a nationally licensed tour guide, and delighted to show people around this area. For the past almost 10 years, I have mainly guided foreign medical professionals around Hiroshima City and Miyajima, gaining a deep understanding of the effects of radiation and the support for A-bomb survivors.
Hiroshima is a city of rivers and the sea. Along the rivers Cherry trees line, and the calm Seto Inland Sea, dotted with islands, creates a stunning landscape. Also, the sea has many islands called “art islands” which have fantastic arts relating to the art festival “Setouchi Triennale”. In addition to our two World Heritage Sites, this area is rich in attractive resources. I hope many of you will come and experience this fascinating land. Personally, I am very passionate about modern art and enjoy sports like stand-up paddle boarding (SUP) on our rivers.
I look forward to meeting you, interacting with you, and also, learning from you!

Title: What Is a Private Family-Friendly Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Harajuku, Meiji Shrine, and Akihabara The meeting point was a hotel in Shibuya, but the guests were actually staying at an accommodation near "Omokado" in Harajuku. The group visited Japan together, and one member of the group had to leave before we stopped at Meiji Shrine due to feeling unwell. As a result, the photo shows some of the guests. Because we returned to their accommodation twice—once before heading to Meiji Shrine and once after strolling along Takeshita Street—the time spent in Harajuku ended up being quite long. After departing from the Hotel, we first visited JR Shibuya Station so the guests could activate their Japan Rail Pass. From that point on, we traveled entirely using JR lines. I suggested visiting Takeshita Street, and since some of the guests wished to spend time at a dog café, our stay on Takeshita Street was longer than usual. I had initially considered guiding them to Yanaka as well, but we also spent time shopping for souvenirs in Akihabara, and in the end the tour concluded in Akihabara.

Hi. My name is Masafumi Miyazaki. Please call me “Sam”. I am a government-licensed guide.
I was born in Tokyo and was raised in the suburbs of Tokyo called Tama area. When I was in university, I majored in western dramas, so I am good at playing like an actor.
I like reading, listening to the music, and walking. I belong to several walking clubs, and sometimes I guide the members around Tokyo.
One of my strengths as a guide is that I know well about kombu, Japanese kelps. In December every year, I work at a traditional kombu shop in Tsukiji Fish Market. At that shop, I learned a lot of things related to kombu or other ingredients for washoku. I can explain the different characteristics of them to you.
Also, I am familiar with Japanese flowers and plants. If you stroll around a Japanese garden with me, I am sure you will be able to enjoy beautiful flowers and unique plants in every season.
I look forward to meeting you. Thank you.

Title: What Is a Private Kyoto Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Arashiyama and Nishiki Market Kyoto today was well over 30 degrees, and the guests seemed tired from the heat. They mentioned that this was the peak of their fatigue during their Kyoto stay. The uphill climb at the monkey park was quite demanding, but they enjoyed a pleasant time with the monkeys, taking photos and feeding them. After the Sagano-Arashiyama area, the plan was to explore Ryoanji Temple and Kinkakuji Temple, but the guests said they would rather go shopping than visit temples, so after I introduced the shopping area in Kawaramachi, we parted ways at Nishiki Market. The tour ended earlier than originally scheduled.
