    Tour Itinerary

    • 11:00 Meet at Kamakura Station. Take the Enoden to Hase Station. Goryo Shrine, Hasedera Temple, meal, and after viewing the Great Buddha, take the Enoden from Hase Station to Kamakura Station. Ride together on the Shonan-Shinjuku train to Yokohama Station and disband at 15:00

Title: What's a Private Kamakura Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests sent an email saying they would arrive in Kamakura earlier than originally planned, so I was on standby at Kamakura Station at 9:30. However, due to a train accident there was a delay, and we ended up meeting at 11:00. The guests were in good spirits and very interested in the townscape, which was quite different from Tokyo. The scenery along the Enoden railway tracks was also unusual to them, and they took photos in many places. They experienced firsthand the difference between a shrine and a temple, and were especially interested in the Buddhist statues. Visiting the Great Buddha of Kamakura had been a long-cherished wish, and the guests were greatly satisfied. I believe it made an excellent preview before heading to Kyoto and Nara. We had our meal in a tatami room, which I think also became a nice memory. On the way back to their hotel in Shinjuku, the guests planned to stop by Shibuya.

What Is a Private One-Day Kyoto Tour Like in Autumn? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests visited Japan from North America. They were on a memorable trip together. They had stayed in Osaka until the previous day, and today was their first day in Kyoto. At Tofuku-ji Temple, which they had requested, the autumn foliage was well advanced, and they enjoyed taking photographs. Since they preferred sightseeing over shopping, I took them to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, where they were delighted by the beautiful scenery. I introduced yatsuhashi as a Kyoto souvenir and took them to a shop offering samples, which they were very pleased with. At Eikan-do Temple, the autumn leaves were beautiful, and they were happy to have come at such a perfect time. (They did not have a sit-down lunch; instead, they bought yuba manju and matcha lattes along the approach to Kiyomizu-dera and enjoyed them while walking.) At Nanzen-ji Temple, the autumn foliage was also beautiful, and they enjoyed taking photographs. After that, we traveled by train to Higashiyama Station, and I took them near Heian Shrine, where we parted ways. They mentioned that they often go hiking, so they said they were not tired from all the walking.

Hello! I’m Mako. I’m from Nara and live in Kobe city in Japan right now. I used to live in mountainous area in Nara.
Nara is famous for deer. There is no sea in Nara. On the other hands, Kobe is one of famous port cities in Japan and famous for Kobe beef and night views.
My favorite food is Yatsuhashi. It is one of famous sweets in Kyoto city. When I was a University student, I used to be a volunteer guide at Kiyomizu temple in Kyoto. There are many shops which sells yatsuhashi in Kyoto.

I like traveling. I have been to Canada, South Korea, France, Australia and the United States.

I studied English in South Florida University when I was a university student. I stayed for about 1 year. During stay in the U.S, I visited Las Vegas, New York, Boston, Miami, and so on. After that I worked at the travel company in Japan. Then I got the license of tour guide in 2014. I started to work as a tour guide in 2015. I usually visit Kyoto, Nara ,Osaka and Kobe with my guests. I’m very looking forward to meeting you!

What's a Full-Day Private Tour of Tokyo Like? Asakusa, Harajuku, and Meiji Shrine — A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting from North America. Some of the guests had visited Japan about twenty years ago, but others were visiting Japan for the first time. After sightseeing in Tokyo, they planned to continue to Kyoto and Nara. At Senso-ji Temple, some of the guests enjoyed sampling sweets along Nakamise Street. On Takeshita Street, they showed great interest in the various shops and an animal cafe. In Omotesando, they purchased LEGO souvenirs. At Meiji Shrine, they seemed deeply impressed by the quiet and solemn atmosphere, which was so different from Shibuya and Takeshita Street. Since I responded to the guests' requests as they wished, I believe they were satisfied.

Title: What Is a Private Hiroshima Peace Park and Miyajima Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The group was originally scheduled to be a certain number of guests, but as they had gone out drinking the previous night, when I arrived at the Hotel one person did not join and a few others were still resting, so the tour started with part of the group. After that, some of the guests joined at the Peace Park ferry terminal, and one more joined at the Peace Park ferry terminal after Miyajima, so in the end the tour was conducted with most of the group. It was a situation where the guests gradually increased in number as we waited to meet those joining at various points, but everyone was interested in history, and the Hiroshima Peace Park in particular seemed to be very meaningful to them. When leaving the Peace Park, the guests shared their impressions and spoke about topics such as the developers who created the atomic bomb and the fighter pilots, weaving in their own knowledge. I had the impression that the Peace Memorial Museum left an especially strong impression on them. Overall, although each of the guests had different interests and different places they wanted to visit, I believe they were able to spend the full time enjoyably while we adjusted the schedule and destinations along the way.

What Does a Private One-Day Tokyo Tour Include? A Licensed Guide's Report The weather was good though the temperature was low, and I was able to guide without any particular problems. The guest was traveling solo and enjoyed the tour with a cheerful and friendly demeanor. I guided them to the Tsukiji Outer Market, which had been requested in advance, along with some classic spots, and although we ran a little over time, we finished the tour in Shibuya. Since the guest was interested in Japanese history, I focused my explanations on the historical background of each location, and they listened attentively. As they wanted to have some typical Japanese food for lunch, I took them to a restaurant in Asakusa with plenty of options, which they were pleased with. I believe they enjoyed the tour thoroughly from start to finish.

Title: What Is a Private Hakone Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Owakudani, Lake Ashi, and Hakone Shrine The guests were visiting from North America. It was clear in the morning, so I was hopeful that we would be able to see Mount Fuji today, but the higher we climbed, the deeper the fog became, until we could not even see the crater of Owakudani right below us 😰 This was a first-time experience for me. Undeterred, I had the guests try the black eggs and the black curry bread that has become popular recently. Then, for the pirate ship, I suggested, "Let's ride in the first-class cabin," to avoid the crowded ordinary cabin where there were no seats available. I had them strike the Titanic pose at the bow, and they relaxed in the beautiful cabin. After guiding them through the Hakone Checkpoint, I invited them to travel back in time and walk along the old Tokaido cedar avenue from the Edo period, saying, "Please walk as if on a special journey," and the group walked along together holding hands. For lunch at Motohakone Port, we went to a restaurant known for its delicious hoba-yaki. At Hakone Shrine, I had the group pay their respects at the Kuzuryu Shrine, said to bring happiness, and when I introduced them to the great cedar tree associated with the legend of safe childbirth, the guests were deeply moved.

Title: What's a Private Japanese Garden Tour in Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were from North America. This was my first time guiding the Japanese Garden Lover's Tour. I had visited both Rikugien Garden and the Nezu Museum on my own before, but it was my first time guiding there, so I paid careful attention to time management throughout the tour. It was still a little early for the peak of the autumn foliage, but because of that it was not crowded, and the guests were pleased to be able to view the gardens at a relaxed pace. The guests had been sightseeing all around Japan on a group tour, and the day I guided them was their first and only day of free time. One of the guests enjoyed gardening at home and had signed up for this tour for that reason. During our correspondence beforehand, the guests researched the places they wanted to visit and made their own requests. The guests had seen a video of a conveyor-belt sushi restaurant on YouTube and wanted to try it, so for lunch we went to a conveyor-belt sushi restaurant near Shinjuku Station. Since the pandemic, the sushi does not really go around on the belt much anymore, and it was more a matter of ordering and having it freshly prepared, but the guests were delighted and said it was fun. I had originally prepared the itinerary to end at the Nezu Museum, but when I confirmed on the day, the guests asked to be taken back to their Hotel, so although we went over time, I saw them off at their Hotel and said goodbye. I think all the walking must have tired them out, but they thanked me for taking them to the places they had wanted to visit on their last day in Japan, which made me very happy. To [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/): I was finally able to put the Rikugien Garden training into practice. Thank you very much. The Shinjuku Gyoen training has also been useful every time. I would love to guide these places again on regular tours as well.

A Licensed Guide's Report on Osaka Castle and Dotonbori The guests had taken a taxi when they arrived in Osaka because they were unsure of the way, but during the tour I helped them appreciate the townscape and feel the difference between the Kita and Minami areas. At Osaka Castle, the guests listened with great interest to stories about Japanese history, and we were lucky to enjoy both the bright, shining castle on the way there and the illuminated grounds glowing with lights on the way back. By the time we reached Dotonbori, the sun had set, and we enjoyed the illuminations and the glowing neon signs and billboards. Hozenji Yokocho was also lit up even at night, with many people pouring water over the Fudo statue, and the guests also poured water and made their wishes. Hi! I’m an official English guide in Wakayama prefecture. I’m also a national guide as well. I’d like to expand my guide area to help tourists.
The town of Osaka offers a different atmosphere than Tokyo. I like both exciting Osaka and nature-filled Wakayama Prefecture.
If you stay in Osaka for 3 days, you can go to Koyasan for one day, or even for a day trip, so I recommend sightseeing at Koyasan.
If you are tired of the hustle and bustle of the big city, the nature of Koyasan will relax you.
I will introduce you to the unique culture, history and must-see sights.

Title: What Is a Private Nikko Day Tour Like in Autumn? A Licensed Guide's Report Body: The guests were a group visiting from Europe who had been to Japan many times before, though this was their first visit to Nikko. One of them knew Japan very well from countless previous trips, but had never been to Nikko until now. The day before, the guests had visited Kegon Falls on their own. They were disappointed that the autumn foliage around Lake Chuzenji had already passed its peak, but the World Heritage area was right at its best, so I selected the most beautiful and photogenic spots to show them. One of the guests was absorbed in taking photos, while the others watched on with warm smiles. One of the guests was also collecting goshuin (temple and shrine stamps). Even though they already had a goshuin book purchased in Miyajima, at Rinnoji Temple they bought another one with a slightly larger and beautiful cover. Since the guests said they wanted to try local specialties, I showed them a photo of a restaurant serving a yuba (tofu skin) set beautifully presented on lovely tableware. In the end, however, they preferred something simpler and not too expensive, so they chose tendon (tempura rice bowl). Perhaps they were not very hungry, as a good amount of rice was left over. The guests had said they were looking forward to taking photos, and rather than the buildings of Toshogu Shrine, they took many photos centered on the autumn foliage. Today was truly the last possible timing to enjoy it, so I was very glad they were pleased.

Hello! My name is Yumi. The Nikko area, Nasu area, in Tochigi Prefecture, and Aizu and Shirakawa area in Fukushima prefecture, where I will be guiding you, are not only surrounded by beautiful nature in all four seasons but are also full of historical attractions. Nikko, in particular, is a great place to learn about the culture and history that has shaped Japan to this day. In order for you to truly enjoy your day, I am flexible to your wishes and will prepare your day to be a great day. Because I am a local guide, you will surely see some sights that are not in the guidebooks. Is local food one of your favorite parts of your trip? I am also a sushi-making instructor for foreigners, so food is one of my specialties. I am also a certified sake navigator. Why don’t you come and enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime encounter with me?

What Is a Private Tokyo Sightseeing Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests visited Japan from North America. It was their first visit to Japan. After Tokyo, they planned to travel onward to Asia. After arriving in Japan, they had already visited Kyoto and enjoyed a matcha tea experience while wearing kimono, and they kindly showed me some beautiful photos. After Tokyo Tower, when we stopped by Zojoji Temple on the way to the station, they were impressed by the many Jizo statues lined up in a row. At the temple and shrine in Asakusa, they actively took part in activities such as the purification fountain and drawing omikuji fortunes. For lunch, I recommended chanko nabe and tempura, and since they wished to try tempura, they enjoyed a tempura rice bowl at Sandaya. They were very satisfied, saying it was delicious.
