Title: What Is a Private Ise Jingu Kimono Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report I arrived at the kimono rental shop, our meeting point, ten minutes before the appointed time. The dressing in the montsuki haori hakama was already finished, and all that remained was choosing the size of the setta sandals; however, since the guest's feet were large, it took some time to find the right size. Since walking many kilometers in setta was expected to be difficult, we decided to change into them only during the special Migakiuchi worship, and to walk in familiar sneakers the rest of the time. The setta were placed in a paper bag borrowed from the shop, which I carried. At both the Inner and Outer Shrines, the guest attracted a great deal of attention, and thanks to the effect of our rehearsal, the special Migakiuchi worship was a great success.

What Is a Private Hiroshima and Miyajima Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a mild-mannered group from North America who visited Hiroshima and Miyajima as the final stop of their trip to Japan. The day before, they had visited the Peace Park and museum on their own. On this day, they enjoyed the history, culture, and architecture of Miyajima along with the autumn foliage of Momijidani (Maple Valley). Since one of the guests appeared to be walking with some difficulty, we decided against the originally planned Daishoin Temple (a Shingon Buddhist temple), which involves a sloped path and stone steps, and instead strolled through Momijidani. Having come to the island nation of Japan, the guests seemed very pleased to see the sea and the beach for the first time. After we parted ways, they wished to take the ropeway up to the Shishiiwa Observatory on Mount Misen, so I explained how to get there.

I have been an English and Italian guide for 10 years in Hiroshima, Miyajima, Okayama, Kurashiki, Iwakuni, Himeji, Osaka, Kochi and Sanin. I used to work for the Japanese trading house in Milan Italy for 9 years, Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam for 2 years and Kobe /Osaka for 25 years. I was engaged in the textile and apparel division covering European and Asian market. Moreover, I worked for a food company who produce special sauce for okonomiyaki, famous local food. After retiring, I live in Hiroshima, my hometown, working as a tourist guide mainly, sometimes as an Italian interpreter for A-bomb survivor testimonies and translation. I guide you about history, culture, architecture, art, industry, economy and so on according to your interests and wishes. My hobby is oil painting of the scenery of the Inland Sea of Seto, the first national park of Japan and visiting art museum. I am interested in impressionists and works during renaissance.

What Is a Private Cultural and Historical Walking Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting from Oceania. They requested a walking tour focused on the cultural and historical spots of Tokyo. After guiding them through Kiyosumi Garden in Kiyosumi-Shirakawa, I took them to the Fukagawa Edo Museum. When I explained the daily life of ordinary people in the Edo period along with the exhibits, they became very interested, and they were surprised to learn that Edo was a sustainable society that valued conserving resources, praising it as a wonderful exhibition hall. At Meiji Shrine, they were able to take photos together with a family celebrating Shichi-Go-San, and they said it would be a wonderful memory. They thanked me, saying it had been a very good tour that allowed them to experience Japanese culture and history, and we said our goodbyes in front of Shibuya Station.

    My name is Kris,
Before becoming a tour guide, I worked for a major steelmaking company as an engineer for many years. During my career, I lived and worked in both Germany and the United States for a total of five years. These experiences helped me understand different cultures and ways of thinking, which now helps me connect easily with guests from around the world.

After retirement, I chose a second career as a tour guide because I truly enjoy meeting people from different countries and sharing Japanese culture, history, and daily life. I have been working as a guide for more than nine years and continue to enjoy every tour.

I currently live in Tokyo, but I was born and raised in Kobe, near Osaka, and my family roots are in Kyoto. As a result, I have extensive knowledge not only of Tokyo but also of Kyoto, Osaka, and many other parts of Japan. I enjoy introducing both famous landmarks and hidden local gems that many visitors might otherwise miss.

I am energetic, friendly, and very sociable. I always try to create tours that are relaxed, flexible, and tailored to my guests’ interests.

Travel is one of my greatest passions, especially visiting hot spring resorts. I have visited more than 80 onsen destinations throughout Japan, giving me a deep appreciation of Japanese culture and regional traditions.

Whether you are visiting Japan for the first time or returning for another adventure, I would be delighted to help you discover the real Japan from a local perspective.

I look forward to meeting you and helping you create wonderful memories in Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, and beyond.

    See you in Japan!

What Can You See on a Private One-Day Tokyo Tour? A Licensed Guide's Report The guest was a solo visitor from North America who had decided on this trip to Japan partly due to a family influence and a long-held interest in the country. Through detailed correspondence beforehand, the guest had requested a tour of Tokyo's main highlights. At the hotel meeting point, due to time constraints, I explained that we would need to skip Meiji Shrine, and the guest agreed. The ginkgo trees at Meiji Jingu Gaien had turned about 70–80% yellow, which gave a good impression. After a smooth tour from Shibuya to the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace, we took a sweets break at a matcha dessert shop in Asakusa. Partly due to the rainy weather, Senso-ji Temple was already beautifully lit up after 4:00 pm. The guest was planning to visit the Mount Fuji area the next day, then travel around Kyoto, Osaka, and Hiroshima before returning to Tokyo, so I handed over a brochure for the nighttime illumination viewing at Rikugien Garden and recommended it, then we parted ways at the taxi stand.

What Is a Private One-Day Kyoto Tour by Chartered Taxi Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests arrived in Japan on a cruise ship that stopped at various ports across the country. They came by taxi from Osaka Port to Kyoto Station, then transferred to a chartered taxi at the Hachijo exit to begin the tour. Due to traffic congestion, the arrival was delayed and the tour started about 30 minutes late. The guests mentioned that they run a large farm in North America, producing watermelon, melon, coffee, and vegetables. The itinerary had all been arranged by one of the guests, while the other simply came along. Nishiki Market was a huge hit, and the guests were very satisfied after enjoying sashimi, sake, shrimp tempura, vegetable tempura, grilled eel, Kobe beef skewers, cream puffs, and doughnuts. They also purchased matcha at a tea shop in the Teramachi area. In the end, after enjoying about an hour and a half around Nishiki Market, we visited Yasaka Pagoda, which had been one of their original requests, and then went to Fushimi Inari. At the end, I had planned to take them to the bamboo grove and then on to the Togetsukyo Bridge area, but since there was not enough time, we returned to Kyoto Station after seeing the bamboo grove. Initially I had heard that they planned to have dinner in Pontocho and return to Osaka by train, but as they had chartered a car at 19:00 to return to Osaka Port, I finally guided them to the souvenir shops in the underground shopping area of Kyoto Station before we parted ways.

I’m Ryoichi Kazuma and my nickname is “Kazz”. I live in Kyotanabe city next to Kyoto city. I want guests to enjoy Kyoto by seeing and experiencing not only from outside but also from inside. I offer various information from daily matters to traditional cultures. Most destinations in Kyoto are located on the eastern side or the western side. As I want to guide guests to as many destinations as possible, I make an efficient itinerary and recommend a taxi use to save time. Additionally, I take pictures at various spots and finally share the link to my storage. By doing so, guests can download their favorite pictures from my storage. Please enjoy Kyoto night and day!

What Is a Private Osaka Temple and Shrine Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guest was a visitor from North America. On this tour, the driver was very familiar with the itinerary and route, allowing us to move smoothly, and adapted flexibly even to sudden changes in destination. The guest seemed to have a strong interest in shrines and temples, and was especially attentive while visiting Shitennoji Temple, asking the guide many questions. The guest was also very knowledgeable about Buddhism, and shared many interesting stories that were new and fascinating even to the guide. Perhaps because more than two weeks of the stay in Japan had already passed, the guest wished to eat a certain regional cuisine, searched for it online personally, and conveyed it to the driver, who was able to arrange it without any trouble, to the guest's satisfaction. At the Umeda Sky Building, the guest purchased some souvenirs. After visiting the Umeda Sky Building, which was adjacent to the accommodation, we parted ways.

    Dear my guests,

This is (Mr.) Yama, greeting from Kobe, Japan.
I would like to warmly welcome you to Japan this time. I am from the city of Kobe, which is of course, well-known for very tasty Kobe Beef . You can taste
real genuine Kobe Beef here. Kobe is also called “Home of Japanese Sake” with lots of Sake breweries, and I recommend you would visit those breweries
if you have any interest in Japanese Sake as well as one aspect of Japanese cultures. Of course, you can have tastings of various kinds of Sake there.

Whenever during the tour, I always try to make it safe, pleasant and comfortable for all of the guests, which is my first priority. I am very much confident
that you can have a pleasant and unforgettable experience in Japan. Just tell me about your preference; what you would like to like to see, have, know
and eat and so on. Particularly, I hold the license for cooking qualified by the government here and maybe, I can reply you for questions related to the
foods here. In this respect, I strongly recommend you would try not only famous Japanese cuisine such as Sushi, Tempura or Suki-yaki but some
Japanese traditional local foods, like Tako-yaki, Okonomi-yaki and Kushkatsu. They are sometimes called the soul foods of Japan. Here is the brief
    explanation for these three foods.

    1) Tako-yaki
Tako-yaki is a snack filled with pieces of octopus in a batter of flour , egg and soup stock. You can call them octopus dumplings or balls. “Tako” means
octopus and “yaki” means grilled or broiled.
    2) Okonomi-yaki
This word Okonomi-yaki means “cook just as you like” and you can use whatever you like as toppings, such as beef, pork, shrimp, squid and octopus.
Okonomi-yaki is round shape and just like pancakes or pizza in shape mainly made from egg, flour and water.
    3) Kushi-katsu
Kushi-katsu is skewered cutlet or deep-fried foods on a stick. “Kushi” means skewer and “katsu” means cutlet. Various kinds of foods are used for
ingredients such as beef, pork, chicken, shrimp, squid, octopus and lots of kinds of vegetables.

Actually, the western Japan including Osaka, Kobe and Himeji is called as “Home of such local soul foods”. You should give it a try and I am sure
that you like them very much.

I sincerely hope that I can be your tour guide this time in Kobe, Osaka and Himeji. If my guests said to me after the tour, “I have had a very good
and pleasant time with you today. I hope I can come here again and name you as our guide”, which is my great pleasure. Moreover, I would be
great honored if they say “I like Japan now thanks to you”.

Looking forward to meeting you soon here.

Title: What Is a Private Guided Tour of a Historic Japanese Castle Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting from North America. They were very knowledgeable about Japan and were already familiar with historical figures such as Tokugawa Ieyasu and Toyotomi Hideyoshi, which made explanations easy. They took their time at each spot, viewing everything carefully and attentively. They were impressed that a castle built 400 years ago is still beautifully preserved today. The weather was fine, and since it was a weekday it was not very crowded, so the guests seemed very satisfied. They had enjoyed a candy they were given and ate in Japan and wished to buy some, so we searched for it, but unfortunately could not find it. They said they would keep looking during the rest of their trip. Tonight they plan to travel to Kobe and enjoy Kobe beef.

Hello ! I’m Nao, guiding in Kansai, West Japan. I was born and raised in Himeji, near Himeji castle. I love music, and of course taking a trip. I stayed in the US for three years, and took a trip to Hawaii, Canada and Indonesia. Those experiences are good sweet memories for me. Visiting places you don’t know much & touching new culture are exciting and refreshing.
Wear Kimono in Kyoto, eat Takoyaki in Oosaka, feed cute deer in Nara, meet SAMURAI(fake one though, I’m aftaid there’s no real SAMURAI in Japan now) and eat Kobe beef and drink Sake in Kobe.
Let’ s make good memories together in Japan. I’m looking forward to seeing you. Nao

What Is a Private Day Tour of Kyoto's Kinkaku-ji, Arashiyama, and Fushimi Inari Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting from North America, and some of them had been to Japan many times before. I took them to Kinkaku-ji, Arashiyama (the Togetsukyo Bridge, the Sogenchi Garden, and the bamboo grove), and Fushimi Inari. They listened attentively to my explanations, but some of the guests did some shopping partway through the tour, which took up quite a bit of time. The weather was perfect for sightseeing, and everyone commented that Kinkaku-ji was their favorite. The guests asked me to take a group photo, which I did, but I later received some feedback that my photography skills could be improved. (I showed them the photo right after taking it and they confirmed it was fine, but they gave me the feedback afterward.) I felt I need to practice taking good photos even in crowded places. After the tour, the guests had signed up for an evening illumination viewing tour at Nijo Castle, so I took them to Nijo Castle and said goodbye there.

Can You Do a Private Day Trip from Osaka to Kyoto? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting from Oceania. It was everyone's first time in Japan and in Kyoto. This was a day trip from Osaka. Since they wished to see the most representative sightseeing spots, we followed the itinerary above. As it was the peak autumn season, there was concern about crowds at each location, but Arashiyama and Kinkaku-ji were not as crowded as expected, which was a relief. However, it was still early for the autumn foliage everywhere, and even the leaves that had turned red lacked vividness, giving me a feeling that this year's foliage may not be very promising. The guests were satisfied with a tour that allowed them to travel around efficiently by car.

My name is Shoji and I’m a tour guide in Kyoto, an ancient capital of Japan for more than one thousand years until the mid 19th century.
I have been doing this work since 2019 covering not only Kyoto but also its surrounding areas like Nara , Osaka and Shiga.
I am very much interested in Japanese history, culture and traditional arts.
Kyoto and the Kansai region are rich with many heritage sites of historical and cultural features.
I am sure that I can provide the guests with good insight and help them appreciate the charms of our wonderful city.

Title: What Is a Private One-Day Kyoto Tour Like With a Licensed Guide? A Guide's Report on Nijo Castle, Gion, and Kiyomizu-dera The guests were a group visiting from Oceania. It was their first day of touring after arriving in Japan, and they enjoyed it very much. Both Nijo Castle and the Gion district were relatively uncrowded, so the guests were able to enjoy the sights at a relaxed pace and were very pleased. At lunch, they were impressed by the delicious broth of the udon served at the restaurant. Kiyomizu-dera was crowded as expected, but the temperature had suddenly dropped this week, so the autumn foliage had come into season, and the guests were delighted by the beautiful autumn colors. Since it was their first day, I felt everyone enjoyed the tour with great energy.
