Title: What Is a Private Walking Tour of Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park Like? A Licensed Guide's Report Tour Report Date: February 2025 Places visited: Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park Cenotaph for the victims Atomic Bomb Dome Guest: the guests Weather: Cloudy Experiences: Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park Atomic Bomb Dome Cenotaph for the victims Details: The guests were a group visiting from Oceania. We began the tour with a bit of humor about the Louvre, which drew some laughter, and then moved into the tour itself. Thinking that the exhibits at the Peace Memorial Museum might be too intense, I offered to look after part of the group while the others viewed the museum, but they told me they wanted the whole group to see it properly. I was impressed, realizing that experiencing such a solemn perspective can be an important part of education.

What's a Private Day Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Takeshita Street, Tsukiji, and Hamarikyu The guests were visitors from Oceania. One of them had visited Japan three times before, while it was another's first trip to Japan. At the guests' request, I showed them Takeshita Street and Tsukiji, and since we had some time to spare, I also guided them through Hamarikyu Gardens. As they had a TeamLab reservation starting at 3:30, I took them to the taxi stand in front of the Dentsu Building, told the driver their destination, and said goodbye. On the day of the tour, the weather was warm and pleasant, and both Takeshita Street and Tsukiji were less crowded than usual, which was fortunate. At Hamarikyu Gardens, the rapeseed blossoms and plum blossoms were blooming beautifully, and we were able to spend a quiet and peaceful time there. The guests had arrived the previous day and were moving on to Kyoto the next day, so it felt like a tight schedule, but I hope they enjoy their stay in Japan.

    Tour Itinerary

    • 10:00 Meet at Kobe Port Terminal
    • 10:45 at Mount Rokko
    • 12:00 at Nunobiki Herb Garden
    • 13:45 at Kitano Ijinkan-gai (Moe no Yakata)

    • 15:45 Disband at Motomachi Shopping Street

Title: What Is a Private Car Tour of Kobe Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Rokko, Kitano, and Akashi Kaikyo Bridge The guests were a group visiting from North America on a private vehicle tour. The details of the vehicle arrangement were not confirmed until the day before, and I only received the information on the day itself. (Immediately after that, the driver and vehicle were also changed.) There was a little confusion, but the tour itself proceeded smoothly. The driver knew the routes very well, and both the driving and the service were extremely careful and polite. The first stop was Mount Rokko, where I had known in advance that the cable car was suspended for regular maintenance until the 12th of next month and that many of the related facilities were similarly closed, which was a little disappointing. However, near the summit the snow from the other day had not yet melted, so the guests enjoyed a bit of snowy scenery. They also greatly enjoyed the view of the cityscape from the top. At the Nunobiki Herb Garden they showed great interest during their visit and purchased some souvenirs. In the Ijinkan area of foreign residences, they were particularly interested in visiting the Moegi House, an early 20th-century residence. At the final stop, the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, they enjoyed the wonderful scenery. Note) As mentioned above, the driver details did not arrive by the day before, and for a while I was very worried about how things would turn out. I tried to contact [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) and the vehicle company the day before and early on the morning of the tour, but could not get through. In the end we were able to start as scheduled, which was a relief. My request is that, if possible, the driver details could be provided two days in advance (or ideally three days in advance), so that even in a worst-case scenario there would be some margin to respond. I understand that this may be difficult due to issues such as arranging drivers, but honestly, receiving the information only "the day before" remains a significant source of anxiety going forward.

    Dear my guests,

This is (Mr.) Yama, greeting from Kobe, Japan.
I would like to warmly welcome you to Japan this time. I am from the city of Kobe, which is of course, well-known for very tasty Kobe Beef . You can taste
real genuine Kobe Beef here. Kobe is also called “Home of Japanese Sake” with lots of Sake breweries, and I recommend you would visit those breweries
if you have any interest in Japanese Sake as well as one aspect of Japanese cultures. Of course, you can have tastings of various kinds of Sake there.

Whenever during the tour, I always try to make it safe, pleasant and comfortable for all of the guests, which is my first priority. I am very much confident
that you can have a pleasant and unforgettable experience in Japan. Just tell me about your preference; what you would like to like to see, have, know
and eat and so on. Particularly, I hold the license for cooking qualified by the government here and maybe, I can reply you for questions related to the
foods here. In this respect, I strongly recommend you would try not only famous Japanese cuisine such as Sushi, Tempura or Suki-yaki but some
Japanese traditional local foods, like Tako-yaki, Okonomi-yaki and Kushkatsu. They are sometimes called the soul foods of Japan. Here is the brief
    explanation for these three foods.

    1) Tako-yaki
Tako-yaki is a snack filled with pieces of octopus in a batter of flour , egg and soup stock. You can call them octopus dumplings or balls. “Tako” means
octopus and “yaki” means grilled or broiled.
    2) Okonomi-yaki
This word Okonomi-yaki means “cook just as you like” and you can use whatever you like as toppings, such as beef, pork, shrimp, squid and octopus.
Okonomi-yaki is round shape and just like pancakes or pizza in shape mainly made from egg, flour and water.
    3) Kushi-katsu
Kushi-katsu is skewered cutlet or deep-fried foods on a stick. “Kushi” means skewer and “katsu” means cutlet. Various kinds of foods are used for
ingredients such as beef, pork, chicken, shrimp, squid, octopus and lots of kinds of vegetables.

Actually, the western Japan including Osaka, Kobe and Himeji is called as “Home of such local soul foods”. You should give it a try and I am sure
that you like them very much.

I sincerely hope that I can be your tour guide this time in Kobe, Osaka and Himeji. If my guests said to me after the tour, “I have had a very good
and pleasant time with you today. I hope I can come here again and name you as our guide”, which is my great pleasure. Moreover, I would be
great honored if they say “I like Japan now thanks to you”.

Looking forward to meeting you soon here.

What's a Private Cultural and Historical Day Tour of Kyoto Like? A Licensed Guide's Report Today's guests were visitors from North America. They said they were not interested in shopping but were drawn to Japanese culture and history, so they wanted to visit spots related to those themes. Based on this, I included such places in the tour, which resulted in the itinerary described above. As luck would have it, a special public opening was being held at the Kyoto Imperial Palace, allowing us to see the interior of the Shishinden Hall, which is normally closed to the public, including the Takamikura throne and the Michodai. We were also able to view fusuma paintings and other artworks, and the guests were very delighted. I am sure this will become a wonderful memory for them.

Title: What Is a Private Hiroshima Peace Park Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests visited from the Middle East. [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) guide David led a private tour of Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, the Atomic Bomb Dome, and a memorial hall for the war dead on a sunny day in February. I had been informed in advance about a dietary preference within the group, so for lunch I recommended vegan okonomiyaki. Although the guests came from the Middle East, they were originally from Europe, from a town in the southern part of that region. By coincidence, this happened to be the same area where my son is staying, and we were both surprised by this connection. At one point the guests had left something behind in a taxi, which was a brief worry, but after contacting the taxi center the matter was resolved without any trouble.

Title: What Is a Private Kyoto Tour Like for Cruise Passengers Arriving at Kobe? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests arrived in Japan on a cruise from North America, reaching Kobe after stops in Asia and other regions before Kyoto. After meeting, the guests proposed extending the tour by one hour. I confirmed with the driver, and we agreed to the extension. Thanks to this, we were able to explore Gion at a relaxed pace. We were also able to visit the Gion Hanamachi Art Museum. In addition, I guided them through the Higashiyama area, including the Yasaka Pagoda. I was mindful throughout the tour to keep restroom access in mind so the guests could go whenever needed. We departed Kyoto with plenty of time to avoid traffic on the way back, and I was able to see them off at the cruise ship within the scheduled time. The photo was taken at the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove.

I was born and grew up in Kyoto and now live near Fushimi Inari Shrine in Kyoto. I used to be a schoolteacher of English and welcome a lot of students from foreign countries. I really enjoyed showing them around Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, Himeji, and Hiroshima. I have been a professional tour guide for about 8 years. I always try to let my guests learn Japanese traditional and modern culture. Since I was born in Kyoto, I know a lot about its culture and people. I myself enjoyed several sports, such as soccer, judo, and marathon when I was young. I’m much interested in baseball and sumo. My motto as a tour guide is to let my guests learn about our tradition and culture precisely and really enjoy themselves. I strongly hope you will enjoy the tour in Japan with me.

What Can You See on a Private Kobe Day Tour? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visiting from North America. Based on advance information that some of the guests had an interest in artistic things, I chose the Takenaka Carpentry Tools Museum and the Nunobiki Herb Garden. At the Takenaka Carpentry Tools Museum, the guests looked very intently at the history of the tools and the profiles of the craftsmen. As it was the middle of winter, there were almost no flowers in bloom at the Nunobiki Herb Garden, so they were only able to enjoy the scenery. Since the guests wanted to buy anime goods to take home, I guided them to an anime goods shop in Sannomiya, where they bought items related to My Hero Academia and Studio Ghibli. As they wanted to have a light meal, after showing them the bus stop for their return trip, I guided them to a ramen restaurant and took my leave there.

Thanks to this, we were able to carry out the tour as planned, and the guests were very pleased. We wrapped up a little earlier than scheduled, but I believe they were satisfied.

Thanks for joining our tour. I’m Hiro Nakagawa, assigned to be your guide for this tour. I was eligible as a National Licensed Tour Guide in 2017. I have guided many tourists from overseas since then. Japan is a beautiful country with full of various attractions. Please enjoy your time in this country to the fullest. I will help you with that. What are you interested in this country? I will introduce this country’s long history, traditional culture, beautiful seasonal highlights, and delicious food to you. Please let me know your preferences. If it’s other than which I mentioned, I’m preparing it for you as much as possible. Let’s enjoy the trip together!

Title: What Can You See on a Private One-Day Tokyo Tour? A Licensed Guide's Report This was the second day of a week-long tour for guests visiting from North America. Even during a short Tokyo tour, the guests were impressed by the contrast between the tranquility of the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace and the modern buildings surrounding it. At Fukagawa Fudodo, they were amazed by the powerful goma fire ritual. At the Tsukiji Outer Market, they purchased a total of nine kitchen knives as gifts for family and friends, and the knife shop staff were wide-eyed with surprise at such enthusiastic shopping. Afterward, I guided them to the entrance of the Shibuya Sky observation deck, and the tour came to an end.
