Tokyo Walking Tour
We did a six-hour walking tour of Tokyo with Yoko and she was an exceptional guide. We saw multiple shrines (Meiji Shrine is a must see), the Imperial Palace, the “crossing” (there is a similar intersection in the Ginza shopping district which was also cool), the Tokyo Station, and the outer market where we ordered some fatty toro nigiri which was an etherial experience. Can’t say enough good things about Yoko. She taught ys a ton about the history of Japan and had a great sense of humor. A+

Fantastic day exploring Tokyo
This was our first time visiting Tokyo and spending a day with Yoko as our guide was perhaps the best decision we could have made. Even before we arrived we traded messages with Yoko about what we might like to do. She offered valuable tips which made not only our time in Tokyo more efficient but while in Japan as a whole. We saw so many amazing things but Yoko also gave us a primer in using the Tokyo subway system and navigating some of the stations. I could go on and list all the things we did but each tour will be different. However I would highly recommend Yoko as a guide. Perhaps serendipitous, but we were stopped on the street the day after we toured with Yoko by a couple who had a list of things to do but was unsure how to go about doing the things on their list and where those things were located. I was thankful we chose the best guide so we didn’t have that problem.

Our guide (Ichiro) was friendly, knowledgeable, spoke perfect English, and was a pleasure to be with for six hours. Prior to our arrival in Japan, Ichiro contacted us and learned about our interests. He then tailored our tour accordingly. We highly recommend him as a guide in Hakone.

Tomy was an excellent guide. He went out of his way to meet us at our ryokan which was off the beaten path and curated a wonderful tour of our itinerary including a tasty sushi conveyor belt spot for lunch. He clearly had a lot of experience as a guide as he knew just where to tell the driver to slow down so we could see items between stops. His tour was a great intro to Kyoto.

He also took lots of photos for us. Our driver Mr. Fujii was terrific as well, his car and his driving made us feel comfortable and well taken care of.

AMAZING tour guide & driver!! Our guide, Tomy, was absolutely exceptional. He helped curate a perfect day in Kyoto, was super responsive leading up to our tour day, and very knowledgeable. Tomy helped us schedule the day at a great pace for the hot Kyoto summer! He emailed and then texted, was perfectly on time, and shared lots of history and culture throughout our tour.

Having a dedicated driver was a HUGE win, we had 7 family members in our group and it made it so easy and organized to get around the city. Tomy and the driver arrived on time, were flexible (our family sometimes moved slower lol) and made sure we stayed on time throughout the whole day.

I cannot recommend this tour enough!! Thank you to our driver and Tomy our tour guide!!! BOOK this tour!

We did an early morning tour of Kyoto with guide Tomy. He showed us Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Nijo Castle and Kinkaku-ji Temple（Golden Pavilion), the whole tour took 4 hours. We took a bus from Kyoto train station to the first stop and taxi’s to the other two stops to save time. Tomy was very knowledgeable of these temples and took the time to explain them in detail.

We had a great day in Kyoto. Tomy reached out to us soon after we booked to ask about what we wanted to see. The tour was excellent and Tomy did a nice job explaining everything. The tour company was flexible in our drop off spot. We wanted to go to Osaka after our tour (Which I highly recommend). It cost extra which I was expecting but it was reasonable and their willingness to do that is much appreciated. I highly recommend this company and Tomy.

Lovely afternoon with English speaking Emiko Yamanaka. Very informative and knowledgeable about the history of the city. Visited the Torii shrine, sadly the other shrine had just closed, and walked through the Gion district. Emi also provided us with a map that she had made with the must see places, including which subway line and how many stops to take! Very useful for the next day trip. Would highly recommend Emi as your tour guide

We had a two day 6hr tour with our guide who took us around in Kyoto. It was a well balanced walking tour through historical sites, famous streets/neighbourhoods and local markets. We travelled very efficiently with a combination of taxis, trains and buses. Our guide Emi was very well prepared, with high flexibility, kindness and curiosity. She was a great value to the tour. I highly recommend this two day tour to visit Kyoto in a very efficient way.

6 hour guided tour of Tokyo
Our wonderful guide, Takako, took us on a tour of Tokyo. She helped us create a plan based on our interests and was flexible when we needed to change the itinerary a bit due to extreme heat. She was friendly, informative, and helpful. We enjoyed learning about Japanese culture and history from Takako, and we saw amazing temples and ate delicious sushi. I highly recommend this tour and Takako as a guide!

We had an amazing day with Takako. Takako got in contact prior to our tour to create the perfect itinerary. She collected us from our hotel and helped us get our travel cards and showed us how to use the public transport. Takako altered our tour and took us to Harajuku Takeshite street, which our teenagers really enjoyed. Takako was really informative and friendly and made the day really enjoyable. We would have no hesitation in booking her again. Takako showed us more in 6 hours than we would have seen in a week if left to our own devices. Thanks Takako and we will watch The Transporter!

Incredible tour, one of the highlights of my trip!
Booking a private tour with Hideharu (Yoshi) Yoshino was easily one of the absolute highlights of my trip.

Yoshi-san customized the day perfectly to my interests, accommodating a last-minute hotel change and timing our morning perfectly so we could see the spectacular Gion Matsuri parade without the heavy crowds.

We explored Ginkaku-ji, Nanzen-ji, and the traditional streets of Gion at a wonderful, relaxed pace.

The tour was fascinating and packed with interesting details that allowed me to truly understand Kyoto’s rich history.

Highly recommended!

A Well-Organized and Informative Tour of Kanazawa
We, a family of 5, had a very enjoyable 6-hour private tour of Kanazawa with Hideharu Yoshino from Japan Guide Agency.
Communication before the tour was excellent and made it very easy to plan the day. Yoshi’s English was excellent, which made communication throughout the tour very smooth. He provided very clear and interesting explanations, giving us a better understanding of the history and culture of the places we visited.
During the tour we explored Kanazawa Castle, Kenrokuen Garden, and the Geisha and Samurai districts.
It was a well-organized and informative tour. Highly recommended.

Our tea and culture day in Kanazawa with our guide Hideharu Yoshino was amazing! Yoshi is very fluent in English and a great companion to walk around with as he knows so much about the history and culture of Kanazawa and Japan. He also knew the best place to grab lunch and helped us pick what was good local fish, curry or tea to try. Plus he made sure we felt comfortable and never out of place wherever we went. I would recommend him for anyone who likes to know more about what they are seeing or what they can do in the area. Yoshi is great!

We had a wonderful day with Shinju! He was so knowledgeable and well prepared. Immediately upon our disembarkation he led us to a map of the area we were to tour and explained our route. Along the way Shinju continued to educate us about Kagoshima. Additionally he had a book he made with photographs and maps relating to our tour. We were all very impressed. Kagoshima was a highlight of our Japan trip
Kagoshima was an unexpected highlight of our trip to Japan. We were so impressed with the city. Shinju was our tour guide, and he arranged samurai armor wearing and bow and arrow experiences for our kids. It was one of our favorite experiences of our entire trip to Japan. Shinju was very informative and spoke excellent English. We had a fantastic time and learned so much. This was a great tour!

Our Day in Kagoshima
We had a wonderful time in Kagoshima. Shinju was an excellent tour guide and we loved all the places he took us. I especially loved visiting the samurai village in Chiran. It was so interesting to learn about them and see how they lived. We took the fairy over to the active volcano and got a good view from the observatory. Then, we went to a park where they have foot baths and dipped our feet in the hot baths. We also visited the kamikaze museum where they pay tribute to all the young men who died in a one way mission during WW II.

Our host and tour guide SHINJU was just fantastic, starting with the pick-up at the cruise terminal and then taking us to the interesting sites in Kagoshima – including the volcano, the exciting Senganen garden and the observatory overlooking Kagoshima and the opposite volcano. Very interesting history, culture and city life. Thank You Shinju for such a great day, and also the flexibility on accomodating our wishes. We loved it!

Hiro-san knows Hakone!
Our guide, Hiro-san, did a wonderful job introducing us to the area of Hakone – leading us on a great tour of several requested destinations. We were lucky to see Mt. Fuji at the top of the ropeway, had a fun ride on a pirate ship on Lake Ashi, enjoyed a fantastic lunch at a local restaurant, and picked up some great souvenirs at a puzzle-box store which have wowed our family and friends. One of the great things that Hiro did throughout the day was to educate and amuse us with numerous pictures, stories, and lessons from his backpack. It felt like Hiro-san was part of our family that day and we can’t imagine having tried to experience Hakone’s great sites without him.

We had a wonderful tour with our guide Lily. Lily speaks excellent English and thoughtfully designed our tour itinerary based on our preference on leaning culture and history of Japanese. She brought history and culture information booklets full of historic photos and literature making sure that we understand the content and key historic facts. She also brought us along a Tokyo maps and attraction guide carefully explained how the Tokyo public transportation system along with more attraction recommendations for our planning purpose. Lily introduced us to some lovely authentic Japanese food and artwork shop including an incense shop that we could never found by ourselves. She is extremely knowledgeable and also patiently answering a variety questions that we had and also navigate timing and traffic perfectly. We could not have asked a better guide, thank you Lily!

Best relaxed educational experience about historic Tokyo! Lily is a wonderful guid who had designed a perfect tour itinerary for our 6-hour tour for a hot humid day in September. Her English skill is perfect and she is very thoughtful about introducing Japanese history, cultures, art work and authentic food to us. She is also extremely helpful to explain Tokyo public transportation system to us and provided us step by step instructions on some JR line ticket purchase options to make sure that we could catch a chance to see Mt Fuji on our way to Kyoto. Most amazingly she was also able to locate an incense shop that we could never found it ourselves. Perfect time management too! Perfect tour!

Lily is an amazing guide and her tour was the highlight of our trip. Lily was friendly, knowledgeable, and perfectly tailored the experience to my teenage kids. From trendy boutiques in Shibuya to hidden vintage gems in Harajuku, every stop felt special. They helped with translations, provided helpful advice and made the whole day fun and stress-free. My daughters found pieces we never would’ve discovered on my own at vintage thrift stores. Highly recommend for anyone who loves fashion and wants a local’s guide!
