Title: What's a Private One-Day Tokyo Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Asakusa, Koishikawa Korakuen, and Meiji Shrine

Since this was the guests' first visit to Japan, we had communicated in advance via a messaging app to plan the day. We decided to skip the Imperial Palace and Kappabashi, tentatively settling on Asakusa, Koishikawa Korakuen, and Meiji Shrine/Harajuku.

In the morning, I received a message asking to push the meeting time back by 30 minutes due to jet lag. I agreed, and we met at the Hotel at 11:00. As planned in advance, we headed from Akasaka-mitsuke to Asakusa. From Azumabashi Bridge we admired the view of the Skytree, then walked to Kaminarimon. We stopped by the rooftop of the culture center, passed through Sensoji Temple and Asakusa Shrine, exited via the west approach, and took a relaxed break on the second floor of a tea house. The guests regained their energy considerably and we headed to Tawaramachi Station. Along the way, they had many questions in front of the taiko drum and Buddhist altar shops. From Kanda we took the JR to Suidobashi. We entered Koishikawa Korakuen from the east gate. The guests were very pleased with the shift from the bustle of Asakusa to this quiet space, and we strolled through it at a leisurely pace before exiting via the west gate to Iidabashi on the Oedo Line. We transferred at Higashi-Shinjuku to the Fukutoshin Line and went from Kitasando Station to Meiji Shrine. The guests seemed to love the forest of the shrine and its solemn atmosphere. Since I was mindful of their condition and we went slowly throughout, it was time by the shrine rest house, so the tour ended there for the moment.

Since it was on the way back, we passed the Takeshita exit of Harajuku Station and walked together to Shibuya before saying goodbye.
