What Does a Private Tokyo Sightseeing Tour Cover? A Licensed Guide's Report The guest was visiting Japan from Europe on a trip and wanted to do some sightseeing on a weekend day off. It was their second time in Japan, but they had not been able to sightsee at all on the first visit, so I showed them the classic route. The guest loved fish and wanted sushi for lunch, so I took them to a sushi restaurant in Asakusa, which they were very happy with. It rained almost the entire time during the tour, but the guest did not mind and we visited each spot, and I believe they enjoyed it thoroughly.

Title: What Is a Private Full-Day Kyoto Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Fushimi Inari, Gion, and Kiyomizu-dera On the morning of the tour, the guests contacted me via a messaging app to request changing the meeting point from their hotel to Fushimi Inari Taisha. Although the site was expected to be crowded, we stayed in close contact and met up successfully at Fushimi Inari Taisha. After a brief self-introduction and reconfirming the desired itinerary for the day, we began the tour. Since the guests were a little hungry, we stopped at a convenience store in front of Fushimi Inari to buy and eat a light snack before starting the sightseeing. I explained the origins and history of Fushimi Inari, the fox worship tradition, the Senbon Torii, and the Omokaru-ishi stone, while also helping with the requested photos. Along the way, I asked about their previous visits to Tokyo and Hiroshima and answered related questions. Next, since they wished to see the Gion area and the Yasaka Pagoda, we moved on. At Tatsumi Bridge, the cherry blossoms were in full bloom and beautiful, and they were very pleased when we took photos. I introduced the geiko and maiko culture on Hanamikoji, zazen meditation at Kennin-ji, and the tradition of severing bad ties at Yasui Konpiragu. We took photos for social media at the Koshin-do and commemorative photos in front of Hokan-ji as well. In front of Kiyomizu-dera, they browsed for souvenirs, then entered the grounds, where I took time to guide them around the Kiyomizu stage and the main hall. Afterward, we passed through Sannenzaka, Maruyama Park, and Yasaka Shrine, and the tour came to an end. Along the way, the guests asked many questions about Japanese history, culture, customs, and modern life. One especially memorable question was which region to visit next for a more authentic Japanese experience with fewer tourists, and I introduced areas along the Sea of Japan coast (for example, the Tottori Sand Dunes, the Tango region, and Maizuru). The atmosphere was pleasant throughout, we were blessed with clear weather, and it became a very meaningful tour that conveyed a strong interest in Japanese culture. There were also many questions about food, and the conversation expanded to a wide range of topics, from ramen, tonkatsu, sukiyaki, and yakiniku to izakaya, sake, whisky, and bars.

They had long wanted to visit Japan and came together for this trip. Everyone in the group seemed to enjoy quiet and calm atmospheres, so they were very pleased with Otagi Nenbutsu-ji, Adashino Nenbutsu-ji, and a stroll through the Sagano area. They found the following bamboo grove overcrowded, but at Tenryu-ji they were delighted by the rhododendrons, which had started blooming earlier than usual. After that, I took them to Daitoku-ji. As they wanted to see karesansui dry landscape gardens, they were deeply impressed by Ryogen-in and the specially opened Obai-in. Finally, I guided them through Gion as they had requested, and we then parted ways.

Title: What Is a Private 2-Day Tokyo Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Meiji Shrine, Shibuya, and Nezu Shrine Following the previous day, this was the second day of a Tokyo tour. As the guests left their hotel in Yokohama, a light rain began to fall, but since this had been anticipated there was no particular worry, and as the guests were wearing hooded waterproof coats, we set off with peace of mind. We moved smoothly to Meiji Shrine via the Fukutoshin Line, which connects directly with the Toyoko Line. On the previous day, after visiting Senso-ji Temple, we went around Asakusa Shrine, but due to time constraints we were unable to experience a shrine prayer ritual. It was here at Meiji Shrine, on this second day, that the guests experienced the two bows, two claps, and one bow ritual for the first time. Since the guests had mentioned wanting to visit Japan together with the whole group someday, I guided them to Takeshita Street as a place popular among young people. One of the guests was excited, exclaiming "So cool!" They enjoyed a crepe and took selfies. The guests showed me photos introducing members of the group. They also shared videos and photos of the nature-rich scenery of their home region, of enjoying barbecues, and of their garden, which they said is sometimes visited by wild bears. On this occasion, some members of the group could not come to Japan together due to their studies, but one who is currently a university student on the west coast has an interest in Japan and was said to envy this first visit to Japan. When we crossed the Shibuya Scramble Crossing, we connected by video call, and I also said hello to the person on the other side of the screen. As the tour was drawing to a close, we made an unplanned visit to Nezu Shrine. Although the azaleas were not in full bloom, about 30 to 40 percent had begun to open, and the magnificent hillside of azaleas was very beautiful. In addition, the guests were greatly impressed by the row of many red torii gates. They took many photos as they passed through the vermilion torii. On this second day as well, we said goodbye in front of the hotel, and at that time the guests happily told me, "Thank you for taking us all the way to the hotel. We could never have seen so many things on our own."

Title: What Is a Private Miyajima Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report We met at the Miyajimaguchi terminal at 9:00 as planned and boarded the JR ferry that passes close to the Great Torii Gate. The wind was quite strong, and since some of the guests were lightly dressed and looked cold, they took photos of the torii and then moved inside the boat. The rain I had been worried about never came, and once we arrived on Miyajima, the wind gradually died down, and the guests who had been rather quiet at first began to chat more. Perhaps because of the weather, there were fewer deer than usual, but the guests were delighted to take photos with them. They also took many photos at Itsukushima Shrine and Daishoin Temple. I was happy to see one of the guests, who had said "I'm not hungry," happily eating okonomiyaki. At the okonomiyaki restaurant we chose, "Chinchikurin," each table had its own hot plate, and the guests seemed to enjoy eating with a spatula.

What Is a Rainy-Day Private Tour of Nagoya Like? A Licensed Guide's Report I guided the group on a private tour of Nagoya, with one of the guests unable to join due to feeling unwell, so I led the remaining guests. The weather was rainy for nearly the entire day. After having lunch near Nagoya Castle, I adjusted the itinerary by skipping the originally planned Oasis 21 and the Chubu Electric Power MIRAI TOWER, and instead traveled directly to Atsuta Shrine by taxi to minimize time spent walking outdoors. After viewing Atsuta Shrine, we headed from Atsuta-Jingu-Nishi Station (subway) to the Osu shopping district, where the guests were able to enjoy the covered arcade shopping street in Osu, so the latter half of the tour could be enjoyed without rain gear. In addition, we happened to see a wedding procession along the approach to Atsuta Shrine, which delighted the guests very much. Although the tour was carried out in the rain, I believe the guests were satisfied.

What Is a Private Hiroshima and Miyajima Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The booking came in just two days in advance, and it was difficult to get in touch beforehand, which made me a little anxious. Because the guests followed strict dietary preferences, I had made a reservation in advance, but I also confirmed the details carefully again after meeting them. I took them to a restaurant that could accommodate all of their requirements. While we were waiting, the guests were concerned about whether the food was being prepared exactly as requested, so I checked and reassured them. Once they began eating, they told me many times how delicious it was, that it was their first time trying okonomiyaki, and that they were grateful I had introduced them to such a good place, which was a great relief. As the guests were visiting from Asia, I first took them to the statue of Gandhi. One of the guests was tired from a walking group tour up to the previous day and seemed to have leg pain, tending to fall behind. That guest chose to view Itsukushima Shrine only from the outside and waited near the ferry terminal, so I went inside with the other guest. Since that guest was also concerned and seemed eager to return quickly, we were unable to do the planned shopping for kimono or momiji manju. On the train back, I showed photos and explained about Itsukushima Shrine to the guest who had waited, and we did an explanation of the Peace Memorial Park along with an activity of folding paper cranes. Because walking was difficult for one of the guests, we changed the plan and briefly visited Shukkeien Garden and Hiroshima Castle by taxi. I explained about the Peace Memorial Park and the museum, and they decided to visit those on their own the following day. At Hiroshima Castle at the end, the guests told me that I had been a wonderful guide, that thanks to all the conversation and activities they had learned a great deal and had a very good day.

Title: What Is a Private Kimono Walking Tour in Kansai Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from North America, one of whom originally came from Asia. They arrived in the Kansai area the night before the tour. Walking through a Japanese town while wearing kimono was one of the items on their bucket list, and they were delighted that this dream had finally come true. They wore the kimono and zori sandals throughout without letting the outfit come undone — something even Japanese people can find tiring — and took many photos against a backdrop of cherry blossoms in full bloom. When passersby called out "cute!" during the tour, their shy reaction was truly charming. After changing out of the kimono, they enjoyed three days in the Kansai region following a "list of foods to try," as one of the guests was very fond of Japanese cuisine. They then planned to travel to Asia briefly before exploring the Kanto region on their way back to North America.

Title: What Is a Private One-Day Tokyo Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Asakusa, the Imperial Palace, Harajuku, and Shibuya The guests were a family visiting Japan from North America. It was their first visit to Japan. The day before, they had arrived at Haneda Airport on a direct flight and taken a limousine bus to their hotel. The previous evening, they had strolled around Shinjuku Kabukicho and enjoyed yakiniku. Their stay in Japan was about ten days in total. They would spend four days in Tokyo, then travel to Kyoto and Osaka, before returning to Tokyo and then flying home. They mentioned that the next day they planned to visit Toyosu Market and TeamLab. It was a rainy tour, though the rain was not too heavy. First, we went to Asakusa. Despite the rain, it was very crowded. I explained about "Senso-ji Temple and the history from Edo to Tokyo," "what a five-story pagoda is," "what Buddhism is," and "the difference between Buddhism and Shinto." There were questions such as "Do all Japanese people believe in Buddhism?" and "How many Christians are there in Japan?" They drew an omikuji fortune, got a "good luck" result, and were delighted. We moved to the Imperial Palace. We strolled through the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace. The cherry blossoms had mostly fallen, which was disappointing. I explained about "the history from the Edo period to the Meiji era," "the Meiji Restoration," "why Edo Castle became the Imperial Palace," and "an overview of the current Imperial Family." They said, "The pine trees are beautiful, like bonsai," and "In North America, it's becoming popular to create Japanese gardens in private yards." There were also questions such as "Does the Japanese Emperor hold political power?" After this, we moved to Harajuku. First, we visited Meiji Shrine. I explained about "torii gates," "Emperor Meiji," "the history of Edo and Tokyo," and "the Meiji Restoration," and again explained "the difference between Shinto and Buddhism." There was also a question, "How many Christians are there in Japan?" We took a short break at a cafe in Meiji Shrine. Then, despite the rain, we strolled around the crowded Takeshita Street, Cat Street, and Omotesando. We moved to Shibuya. Despite the rain, there were large crowds. I explained about "the history of Shibuya." We walked across the Scramble Crossing and took a commemorative photo in front of the Hachiko statue. There were questions such as "Why are there so many people at the Scramble Crossing?" and "Are they all locals?" They said, "We'd like to see a Japanese supermarket," so we went to Tokyu Food Show. They were amazed at the huge variety of items. They commented, "The whole city is very quiet, and everything seems to run in an orderly way," "There's no trash on the streets," and "There are no homeless people to be seen." They also commented, "The trains and subways are clean and quiet. No one is chatting. It's completely different from where we come from," and "The public restrooms are well-equipped and clean." Finally, I saw them off at Shinjuku Station, and we parted ways.

In the past, I was stationed in Canada, the United States, and Mexico as an expatriate of a Japanese bank for over 11 years.
Since I have been mainly involved in the financing business in the United States for a long time, I think I am able to provide interpretation and translation services related to business and finance.
I am a certified CPA in the United States.
In addition, for three years from April 2016, I will be engaged in Japanese-English translation work (part-time), and I can also handle translation work.
Although I don’t have a qualification in Spanish, but I think I can handle day to day conversation in Spanish without any problems.

Title: What Is a Private Car Tour of Kobe and Rokko Like on a Rainy Day? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visiting from North America. On this day the weather was very poor with heavy rainfall, so the usual spectacular panoramic views of the Kobe cityscape from the top of Mount Rokko and the Nunobiki Herb Garden were completely obscured by thick fog. One silver lining of the bad weather was that there were very few other visitors, so the sites felt almost private. In addition to the rain, it was as cold as midwinter, so the guests kept each stop short. (At the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge in particular, with the rain and quite strong wind, one of the guests waited inside the facility.) The guests expressed a wish to see a "Japanese garden," so we visited "Sorakuen," which the driver recommended. Although this spot is not included on the standard list, it is a truly splendid Japanese garden, and the guests were very pleased and toured it enthusiastically despite the bad weather. In addition, we happened to be able to watch a "hula dance" event being held in the garden, and were even able to take commemorative photos with the performers, which the guests praised as the "highlight" of this tour. I would like to recommend this spot to guests in the future whenever there is an opportunity. Perhaps because we pushed a little to keep moving in small increments through the bad weather, the guests became very tired, and we parted ways with a little over an hour remaining. The driver on this occasion was also very courteous, including in the driving. The guests praised the "very careful, safe, and reassuring driving." Note) As mentioned above, the guests kept each stop short and rested as needed throughout the tour. Had certain conditions been known in advance, it might have been possible to prepare a slightly different itinerary, including more rest breaks, which I felt was a little unfortunate.

real genuine Kobe Beef here. Kobe is also called “Home of Japanese Sake” with lots of Sake breweries, and I recommend you would visit those breweries
if you have any interest in Japanese Sake as well as one aspect of Japanese cultures. Of course, you can have tastings of various kinds of Sake there.

Whenever during the tour, I always try to make it safe, pleasant and comfortable for all of the guests, which is my first priority. I am very much confident
that you can have a pleasant and unforgettable experience in Japan. Just tell me about your preference; what you would like to like to see, have, know
and eat and so on. Particularly, I hold the license for cooking qualified by the government here and maybe, I can reply you for questions related to the
foods here. In this respect, I strongly recommend you would try not only famous Japanese cuisine such as Sushi, Tempura or Suki-yaki but some
Japanese traditional local foods, like Tako-yaki, Okonomi-yaki and Kushkatsu. They are sometimes called the soul foods of Japan. Here is the brief
explanation for these three foods.

1) Tako-yaki
Tako-yaki is a snack filled with pieces of octopus in a batter of flour , egg and soup stock. You can call them octopus dumplings or balls. “Tako” means
octopus and “yaki” means grilled or broiled.
2) Okonomi-yaki
This word Okonomi-yaki means “cook just as you like” and you can use whatever you like as toppings, such as beef, pork, shrimp, squid and octopus.
Okonomi-yaki is round shape and just like pancakes or pizza in shape mainly made from egg, flour and water.
3) Kushi-katsu
Kushi-katsu is skewered cutlet or deep-fried foods on a stick. “Kushi” means skewer and “katsu” means cutlet. Various kinds of foods are used for
ingredients such as beef, pork, chicken, shrimp, squid, octopus and lots of kinds of vegetables.

Actually, the western Japan including Osaka, Kobe and Himeji is called as “Home of such local soul foods”. You should give it a try and I am sure
that you like them very much.

I sincerely hope that I can be your tour guide this time in Kobe, Osaka and Himeji. If my guests said to me after the tour, “I have had a very good
