What Is a Private One-Day Kyoto Garden Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report Since the guests had mentioned in an earlier email that they were interested in history and gardens, I was able to show them the gardens of Nijo Castle, Heian Shrine, Nanzenji Temple, and Konchiin, and they were very pleased. In particular, they thanked me for guiding them to Konchiin, a lovely garden where there were no other tourists and it was not crowded. The highest temperature that day reached 32 degrees, and although I thought I had been taking sufficient precautions, one of the guests began to show symptoms resembling heatstroke partway through, so I quickly changed the plan and moved to a place with shade. Fortunately, it did not become serious, but I was reminded that I must take great care when guiding during the hot season.

    • 08:00 Disband at Tsukiji

What Is a Private Toyosu Tuna Auction and Tsukiji Food Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visiting Japan to celebrate a graduation. They had been looking forward to the tuna auction, and from the very start of our meeting they asked many questions, so the conversation became lively right away and it turned into an enjoyable tour. At the tuna auction, we played a game where everyone predicted the winning bid price in advance and competed to see whose guess came closest to the actual price, which was a lot of fun. At the sushi restaurant, the guests shared a "tuna assortment" set and an "omakase" set, and were deeply impressed by the differences in flavor among the various cuts of tuna and by the deliciousness of seasonal fish. They were delighted, saying that in North America you could not enjoy this level of quality at this price. At Tsukiji, they observed the intermediate wholesalers at work and got a firsthand feel for Japan's seafood trade.

What Is a Private Kyoto Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The tour was originally scheduled to start at 14:00, but since the guests were going to arrive in Kyoto earlier than expected, we suddenly moved the start time two hours earlier. I had left home quite early, so I was able to accommodate the request, but it was rather challenging. When guiding a group, interests are often not the same among everyone, so I found it difficult to grasp everyone's needs. It was a very hot day, and as a result we ended up walking quite a long distance. In addition, with the earlier start time and a same-day request (Kiyomizuzaka had not originally been included in the route), I felt I should have been more creative in how I structured the route and arranged breaks along the way. I believe the guests were generally satisfied, but for the reasons above, personally it was a tour with many points to reflect on.

What Is a Private One-Day Tokyo Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Asakusa, Harajuku, and Shibuya The guests were a group visiting from North America. Since the itinerary had been arranged in advance through email exchanges, the day proceeded smoothly. Although it was unfortunately rainy, Asakusa, Harajuku, and Shibuya were all less crowded than usual, which actually made it an easy day for walking around the city. The group was staying in Asakusa, and since they had just arrived in Japan the night before, starting from Asakusa served as a good introduction. The monjayaki lunch in Asakusa was greatly enjoyed by the group. One of the younger members of the group was a little tired from the long journey and not very energetic at first, but the moment we arrived at the Pokémon Center, their eyes lit up and they became fully energized. It was a very pleasant and refined group, they listened attentively to the guide's explanations, and they were very easy to guide. Overall, I believe they enjoyed the day.

What Is a Private Full-Day Tokyo Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Shibuya, Meiji Shrine, and Yanaka The guests were a group visiting from North America. The members of the group were all composed, refined, and very pleasant people. Because we had finalized the itinerary in advance through email exchanges, the day proceeded smoothly. Since I had received specific requests such as Shibuya, Meiji Shrine, the Yanaka-Nezu-Sendagi area, and a ramen lunch, it was easy to plan the route. At Hamarikyu Gardens, the guests showed great interest in its history dating back to the Edo period. They enjoyed the Keika ramen in Shibuya, saying it was delicious, and they were able to avoid the crowds in the Yanaka-Nezu-Sendagi area, so it seemed to be a very memorable and enjoyable day. I also explained how to use the subway and JR lines, so although we parted ways at Nippori at the end, the guests had no trouble returning to their accommodation on their own. (After we parted, it seems they enjoyed shopping at Yanaka Ginza.) They also gave a wonderful review, so I believe they were satisfied overall.

Title: What Is a Rainy Typhoon-Day Private Tokyo Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report Body: [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) guide led a private one-day tour of Tokyo for guests visiting Japan, though a typhoon significantly disrupted the original plan. After meeting the guests, we discussed a Plan B before setting out. We had planned to visit a museum after Sengakuji, but it was temporarily closed due to the typhoon, so we headed to Ikebukuro. At the Ikebukuro Anime Tokyo Station, one of the guests showed great interest. We had also planned to visit the Pokémon Center in Sunshine City, but it was under renovation and could not be visited. We did some souvenir shopping for cosmetics and had lunch. At Meiji Shrine, I was able to give a full guided tour, but the rain grew heavy again. After showing the guests the Shibuya crossing, the tour concluded at Parco. I received a tip.

What Is a Private Tokyo Tour Like on a Rainy Day? A Licensed Guide's Report Due to an approaching typhoon, I suggested that cancellation might be an option, but at the guests' strong request, we rescheduled to the afternoon and proceeded with the tour. There were places where we were caught in heavy rain along the way, but it did not last long, and the tour ended peacefully. I was relieved when the guests said they had enjoyed themselves. The guests were not particularly interested in shops such as the Pokémon Center or Sanrio stores, but preferred apparel shops like Uniqlo, Asics, and Nike. Meiji Shrine was very well received. Even more than the main hall, the guests were captivated by the forest of the shrine. The tour proceeded smoothly and pleasantly, and we finished safely on time.

    • 17:15-18:15. Yasaka Shrine, Gion Hanamikoji
    • 18:30-20:00 Gion Hayakawa

What Is a Private Evening Gion Tour in Kyoto Like? A Licensed Guide's Report We met at the hotel lobby a little before 5:00 and took a taxi to Gion. Since we had some time, we walked to Yasaka Shrine to pray. We stopped by a souvenir shop on Shijo Street, gave some explanations on Hanamikoji Street, guided the guests to the Gion Art Museum, and entered Gion Hayakawa at 6:15. It seems there had been some miscommunication about the timing, as the maiko had been standing by expecting a 5:00 start. When I checked whether there had been a mistake, it turned out the start was scheduled for 18:30, so it appears there was a timing error at some stage. After the maiko had to leave, the proprietress kindly entertained us. The guests were very pleased, and we had a lively conversation. We finally wrapped up a little after 8:00.

What's a Private Hiroshima and Miyajima Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from Oceania. They spoke English with a distinctive accent, so I was momentarily taken aback when we first met. Since the guests were very interested in the history of the war, we spent the entire morning at the Peace Memorial Park and the museum. I received many questions about the war, and it was truly a rewarding experience as a guide. In the afternoon, we moved to Miyajima, where we visited Itsukushima Shrine and Daishoin Temple, and the guests enjoyed shopping along the Omotesando shopping street. As it happened to be low tide, they were able to walk all the way to the Great Torii Gate, which became a wonderful memory for them. They were delighted, saying it had been "a very enjoyable trip full of information."

Title: What's a Rainy-Day Private Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Tokyo Station, Asakusa, Meiji Shrine, and Shibuya The guests were visitors from North America. Two days before the tour, they had considered rescheduling due to an approaching typhoon, but we carried out the tour on the originally planned day. However, since it was raining heavily from the morning, I partly adjusted the itinerary and first took them to the Shin-Marunouchi Building in front of Tokyo Station, where from the 7th floor I explained the National Diet Building, the Imperial Palace, and Tokyo Station, which they enjoyed. Next, they wished to shop in a department store food hall, so they enjoyed shopping in the basement of the Daimaru Tokyo store. We then took the subway to Asakusa, where on the 8th floor of the culture and tourism center I explained the origins of Asakusa and the surrounding buildings. After taking photos in front of Kaminarimon Gate, we rested on a bench along Kaminarimon Street, where they enjoyed the sandwiches and other items they had purchased at the department store food hall as lunch, which was well received. While traveling by subway, I explained Japanese history, the origins of Meiji Shrine, and Japanese culture. At Meiji Shrine, as we walked through the torii gate, they were deeply impressed by the deep forest in the middle of the city. Along the way, I included stories about the racks of sake barrels, the great torii gate, and lucky spots as we proceeded, and we paid our respects at the main hall. Finally, we took photos in front of the Hachiko statue near Shibuya Station and at the scramble crossing, and the tour came to an end. Although it rained all day, making it a difficult day to get around, the guests seemed to enjoy each place we visited, which was a relief.

Tokyo is not only full of Japanese charm but also has many unique aspects.
The always-bustling Tsukiji Outer Market conveys Japan’s food culture.
Asakusa conveys Japanese traditions and culture through old temples, shrines and long-established stores.
    Shibuya spreads Japanese pop culture.
You can immerse yourself in history and culture in the quiet natural surroundings such as the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace or Meiji Shrine.
Tokyo is a treasure trove of attractions for travelers. Please come and experience the wonderful Tokyo with me.
