What Is a Private Kyoto Walking Tour to Kiyomizu-dera Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from Europe, and one of them was studying Japanese. Although one of the guests seemed to find walking a little challenging, their motivation was high and they actively climbed the stairs as well. They seemed to really enjoy the Kiyomizu-yaki pottery, and both of them purchased their own favorite vessels and chopsticks. The weather was cloudy, neither too hot nor uncomfortable, making it very pleasant. The path leading to Kiyomizu-dera was also uncrowded, so the tour proceeded smoothly. We concluded the tour at the intersection of Shijo Street after passing through Hanamikoji.

I’m Ryoichi Kazuma and my nickname is “Kazz”. I live in Kyotanabe city next to Kyoto city. I want guests to enjoy Kyoto by seeing and experiencing not only from outside but also from inside. I offer various information from daily matters to traditional cultures. Most destinations in Kyoto are located on the eastern side or the western side. As I want to guide guests to as many destinations as possible, I make an efficient itinerary and recommend a taxi use to save time. Additionally, I take pictures at various spots and finally share the link to my storage. By doing so, guests can download their favorite pictures from my storage. Please enjoy Kyoto night and day!

What's a Private Tokyo Layover Tour from Haneda Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guest was a visitor from North America, stopping in Tokyo during a transit at Haneda while on the way home from a trip. [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) guide led this private Tokyo sightseeing tour that made the most of the layover time. Because of the early morning arrival, we first headed to the Imperial Palace and Nijubashi Bridge. Along the way, I explained the origins of Edo Castle, the role of the Imperial Family in Japan's modern history, and the Meiji Restoration. The guest became very interested in the Meiji Restoration, which brought about dramatic change in a short period of time, and was amazed by the vast scale of the Imperial Palace grounds. At Tsukiji, the guest tasted fresh tuna sushi for the first time and was surprised, saying they had never imagined something could be so delicious. After that we headed to the Shibuya crossing, and at the end the guest wanted to visit Shinjuku, so I took them there. They were delighted to see the 3D cat advertisement and the Godzilla head. Finally, I saw them off at Shinagawa Station and put them on the train bound for Haneda Airport.

    Hello and welcome to Tokyo!

I have been working for business with American companies for many years. I have many experiences guiding customers from around the world in Japan and taking Japanese customers to the USA and Europe.

I now have a national license as a guiding interpreter, and I want to introduce the unique gigantic city of Tokyo and the traditional Japanese culture, which is not shown in the guidebooks, to people worldwide who are interested in it. In addition, I want to introduce various Japanese foods you can enjoy only in Japan.
Unique experiences such as the Sumo Training Viewing and Tea Ceremony are optionally available.
Depending on your preference and itinerary, I can guide you in Tokyo, Kamakura, and Hakone so that you can enjoy your time in Japan.

What's a Full-Day Private Walking Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting from North America. It was their first time in Japan, but they had already traveled through Kyoto, Osaka, Shirakawa-go, and Kanazawa, and planned to enjoy Tokyo as the final part of their trip, so they were already accustomed to riding the trains. During our travel time, the guests had many questions arising from their previous experiences—things they had wondered about or wanted to confirm—and we talked almost nonstop with one another. At Meiji Jingu, they were delighted by the water lilies and irises in the inner garden, and they noticed the azaleas whose blooming season had ended, so I mentioned that if they had come two months earlier, they would have seen them in full bloom. We walked while explaining various sights along Takeshita Street, Cat Street, Miyashita Park, and the Shibuya crossing. At Senso-ji Temple, a memorial service happened to be underway and the sound of sutra chanting could be heard, and they were delighted to hear it for the first time. At Ueno Park, they enjoyed the hydrangeas along the path. After giving an overview of the history of Kanei-ji Temple, I took them to Shinobazu Pond and the Great Buddha, then explained the way to the station and ended the tour.

What Is a Private Tokyo Day Tour Like for a Group? A Licensed Guide's Report I guided a group of guests visiting from North America. After three days in Kyoto, they had arrived in Tokyo yesterday and joined a Shinjuku food tour, so an overall sense of tiredness was in the air. At Futaki no Kashi in Ameyoko, they purchased some of the Japanese sweets I had recommended. At the grave of the Shogitai, one of the guests showed strong interest, sharing a story about having visited Ueno Zoo in 1992. Odaiba was the guests' choice, but they did not seem particularly impressed by the scenery, nor did they get as excited about the Daiba 1-chome shopping street as Japanese visitors tend to. The Japanese restaurant they had in mind was apparently reserved entirely, likely by a school trip group, so we ate at the food court, walked past the Gundam statue, and headed to Tokyo Teleport Station on foot. If there is a place in Odaiba that tends to be a highlight, I would appreciate any suggestions. The guests were satisfied with the Shibuya Crossing, and upon reaching Takeshita Street, they said they would like to spend the rest of the time shopping freely, so although it was earlier than planned, we parted ways there. Since it was a large group, I made an effort to speak with each person individually and communicate as much as possible.

Title: What Is an 8-Hour Private Walking Tour of Kyoto Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting from North America. Some of them had been to Japan before, but it was everyone's first time visiting Kyoto. [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) guide led this private tour, taking the group to the Kiyomizu area (Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Sannenzaka, Ninenzaka, the Yasaka Pagoda, and Koshin-do), Sanjusangen-do, the Philosopher's Path, Honen-in Temple, and Ginkaku-ji Temple. It was a long 8-hour tour, and including the uphill climb near Kiyomizu-dera, I believe the group walked more than 20,000 steps. The most highly praised sights were the cliff-side construction of Kiyomizu-dera, the 1,001 statues of Kannon at Sanjusangen-do, and the garden of Ginkaku-ji. Some in the group also said they enjoyed strolling along the Philosopher's Path, which was not crowded. The sky was cloudy during the tour, which actually made for a rather comfortable day weather-wise.

Title: What Is a Private Family Day Tour of Kanazawa Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting from North America. They planned the entire trip themselves, arranging transportation, accommodation, and guide bookings, and they had researched Japan very thoroughly. Some of the guests were interested in Japanese youth culture, fashion, and food. What Is a Rainy-Day Private Tokyo Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Ueno and Akihabara The guests were a group visiting Japan for the first time from North America. They planned to visit Kyoto and Osaka after sightseeing in Tokyo. Unfortunately, there was heavy rain from a typhoon in the morning, so we changed the plans and I guided them through the Tokyo National Museum in the morning. They viewed the exhibits on Japanese culture and history with great interest. In the afternoon, as originally planned, I guided them through Akihabara. Since one of the guests was a big fan of Japanese anime, they purchased many anime figures and anime books. Although the weather was unfortunate due to the typhoon, I responded flexibly according to the guests' wishes, so I believe they were satisfied.

What's a 6-Hour Private Nikko Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Chuzenji Lake and the World Heritage Area The guests requested to visit Kegon Falls at Lake Chuzenji, along with Toshogu Shrine and Shinkyo Bridge in the World Heritage area. To visit both areas within a 6-hour tour, I planned the itinerary carefully, confirmed it with the guests, and began the tour. This allowed us to catch a bus shortly before 9:00, so we were able to secure the time needed at every location. As a result, the guests were able to enjoy Kegon Falls and a stroll along the lakeshore at Lake Chuzenji. We were also able to have a proper lunch, after which the guests could take their time enjoying Toshogu Shrine, the highlight of Nikko. On the way back, we spent a little time at Shinkyo Bridge before parting ways at Tobu Nikko Station at 15:00. I believe the guests were very satisfied to enjoy the highlights of both the Chuzenji area and the World Heritage area in a single day.

I am a licensed guide based in the Nikko area of Tochigi Prefecture, with a passion for sharing the depth and beauty of this remarkable region.
In particular, I take great pride in introducing the magnificent World Heritage area, home to Toshogu Shrine, Futarasan Shrine, Rinnoji Temple, and the iconic Shinkyo Bridge. The rich history, spiritual atmosphere, and masterful craftsmanship found there are truly inspiring.
But Nikko has much more to offer beyond the World Heritage zone. The region is uniquely spread across three different elevation zones: the central town area, the Lake Chuzenji area at higher altitude, and the remote Yumoto Onsen area in the mountains. Each of these areas offers a different charm—from historic sites and sacred spaces to scenic lakes, waterfalls, and hot springs.
However, due to the area’s wide geography, limited public transit options, and seasonal congestion, even navigating efficiently within a single area can be challenging without local knowledge.
That’s why local expertise is essential. With in-depth knowledge of Nikko’s layout, transportation network, and crowd patterns, I help my guests make the most of their time, while focusing on the area that suits their interests best.
I don’t just recite what’s written in guidebooks—I offer deeper insights rooted in Japanese history, religion, and culture. From the legacy of Tokugawa Ieyasu to the spiritual symbolism behind shrine architecture, I aim to provide meaningful and memorable experiences.
If you’re looking to discover the real Nikko, from its iconic landmarks to hidden gems, I’d be honored to guide you.

Osaka in Half a Day: Osaka Castle & Dotonbori ~ Hozenji Yokocho

    Tour Itinerary

    • 9:00 Meet at Hotel Osaka
    • 9:45 Osaka Castle
    • 12:00 Kuromon Market
    • 12:35 Dotonbori ~ Hozenji Yokocho

What Is a Private Osaka Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Osaka Castle, Kuromon Market, and Dotonbori Today I guided a group visiting from Europe on a private tour of Osaka. The guests mentioned they would be traveling for two weeks, visiting Tokyo, Takayama, Kyoto, Naoshima, Osaka, and Kamakura. Because we started early, Osaka Castle was not too crowded, and we were able to see it at a relaxed pace, which was wonderful. It was also cloudy today, so it was not too hot and remained comfortable. The guests wanted to visit a Japanese-style coffee shop near Kuromon Market, so we enjoyed coffee at a local coffee shop. Afterwards, we went to Dotonbori, where I recommended several popular restaurants, and I also took them to Hozenji Yokocho. I believe they enjoyed themselves.
