Title: What Can You See on a Private Tokyo Day Tour? A Licensed Guide's Report on the Imperial Palace, Tsukiji, and Asakusa

The guests joined from North America. They had already traveled through various parts of Japan by cruise and were scheduled to return home the following evening. At the Imperial Palace, they remarked that the view from Nijubashi Bridge was wonderful. At Tsukiji, they each enjoyed their favorite dishes, including fresh oysters, salmon, yellowtail, and wagyu beef. They liked it so much that they seemed as though they might come back again the next day. For lunch, they wanted ramen, so I took them to a well-known ramen shop, and I was glad they enjoyed it. At Nakamise, the guests purchased happi coats and kimono, as well as souvenirs such as folding fans, and had a great time. They also said that Asakusa is a place where one could easily spend a whole day. Since the guests were fond of cats, we visited Yanaka Ginza at the end, but one of the guests was disappointed that there are hardly any real cats there these days. I reflected a little that I should have explained this more in advance. They enjoyed purchasing cat-themed goods. I was worried about the weather, but it hardly rained, and thanks to a very good driver, we were able to move around smoothly.

A notable stop on the tour was Asakusa. Asakusa is one of Tokyo's most historic districts, centered around Senso-ji, the city's oldest Buddhist temple, founded in the 7th century. The approach to the temple, known as Nakamise, is a lively shopping street lined with stalls selling traditional crafts, snacks, and souvenirs, making it a popular place to experience old-town Tokyo atmosphere.
