What Is a Private Kyoto Tour with a Licensed Guide Like? A Guide's Report on Kiyomizu-dera and Fushimi Inari The guests were a group visiting Japan for the first time from North America. At Kiyomizu-dera, part of the route involved some stairs that were difficult for some of the guests, so they waited at one section, but everyone was able to enjoy the rest of the day fully. On Sannenzaka, the guests were delighted to try matcha ice cream for the first time. On the way from Kiyomizu-dera to Fushimi Inari, thanks to the driver's cooperation, we traveled via Shinbashi and Hanamikoji in Gion, which was also very well received. At Fushimi Inari, the guests also saw the bamboo grove, making it a rich and fulfilling tour.

Title: What Is a Private Tokyo Sightseeing Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Meiji Shrine, Takeshita Street, Tsukiji, and Senso-ji The guests were a group visiting Japan for the first time from North America. They planned to travel to another destination after sightseeing in Tokyo. At Meiji Shrine, they seemed impressed by the quiet and solemn atmosphere, which was very different from Shibuya. On Takeshita Street, some of the guests showed interest in an animal cafe and many shops. At Tsukiji, they enjoyed a sushi lunch. At Senso-ji, they listened with great interest to explanations about the differences between temples and shrines, as well as the Kaminarimon Gate. Since I accommodated the guests' requests as they wished, I believe they were satisfied.

I am Seizo Kamiuto, National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter (English). I was born in Kagoshima City in Kyushu (Southern part of Japan) and grew up there until the graduation from a high school. I came to Tokyo to enter a University in Tokyo and since then, I have lived in Tokyo for more than 40 years and therefore I know Tokyo and its suburbs and Kagoshima City very well. After retiring from an IT company, I have been working as a Guide Interpreter of English since March 2018. I have guided many overseas guests to the popular sightseeing spots in Tokyo, Kamakura, Mt. Fuji area (Kawaguchiko Lake etc.), Hakone, Nikko, Yokohama, Kawagoe and Kagoshima and so on. I have received good reviews from many guests. I can explain the history and the culture of Japan in detail. I look forward to an opportunity to guide you in Japan. Thank you. Seizo Kamiuto

Title: What's a Private Kyoto Day Tour from Osaka Port Like? A Licensed Guide's Report This private Kyoto tour started from Osaka Port with guests visiting from North America. The guests wanted to see Fushimi Inari, Arashiyama, and a local Kyoto watch brand called Kueo. Unfortunately, the shop was closed on Tuesday, so we only took a photo in front of it, but the guests showed me a Kueo watch they had already bought in Tokyo, saying they loved the design. Since one of the guests wanted to buy a support belt for a sore back, we went to a discount store near Osaka Station but could not find one, then found the desired support belt at a drugstore in front of Fushimi Inari Station, which was a relief. As we had time to spare, I asked whether there was anywhere else they would like to go, but they said they preferred to keep things as they were, since walking was a bit difficult for them. They also mentioned they would head back on their own and were happy to finish early, so with the extra time, I suggested the foot bath deep inside Arashiyama Station on the Randen line. They wanted to go, so we relaxed at the foot bath together for a while. Instead of taking a taxi directly to our next stop, Ippodo, we took the local Randen line to Shijo-Omiya and continued to Ippodo from there. Ippodo was not very crowded today, so we were seated with almost no wait, and the guests ordered koicha (thick tea) and usucha (thin tea). At the end, the guests planned to enjoy some shopping at their own pace and take a taxi to Kyoto Station, so we walked together to the Kueo shop in Teramachi, which was closed for the day, and wrapped up the tour there.

I’m Ryoichi Kazuma and my nickname is “Kazz”. I live in Kyotanabe city next to Kyoto city. I want guests to enjoy Kyoto by seeing and experiencing not only from outside but also from inside. I offer various information from daily matters to traditional cultures. Most destinations in Kyoto are located on the eastern side or the western side. As I want to guide guests to as many destinations as possible, I make an efficient itinerary and recommend a taxi use to save time. Additionally, I take pictures at various spots and finally share the link to my storage. By doing so, guests can download their favorite pictures from my storage. Please enjoy Kyoto night and day!

What's a Private One-Day Tokyo Tour with a Licensed Guide Like? A Guide's Report on Senso-ji and Japanese Culture The guests arrived in Japan for the first time from Europe. They are staying in Tokyo for a few days before traveling to Nara, Kyoto, Osaka, and Hiroshima and then returning home. The moment we met, the guests happily shared their excitement about their trip, and I matched their pace as we decided together on the day's itinerary to make it a memorable one. In particular, one of the guests had researched Japanese culture thoroughly beforehand and asked many fascinating questions, such as "How deeply is Shinto integrated into everyday Japanese life?" and "Is an omakase at a sushi restaurant decided by the fish landed that very morning?" The omikuji fortunes at Senso-ji are famous for producing many "bad luck" results. Despite my worry about what would happen if they drew a bad fortune, the guests seemed excited and said they definitely wanted to try. When they drew their fortunes, even though they chose from separate boxes, they somehow selected the same number. And the results were both "great blessing" for the guests. The "marriage" category also received the highest rating, and they seemed very satisfied. It appears to have been a wonderful start to their journey in Japan.

What Is a Full-Day Private Walking Tour of Tokyo's Gardens and Old Town Like? A Licensed Guide's Report It rained on and off during the day, but the guest carried a folding umbrella and used it as needed. This was my first time guiding someone who paid for the subway using contactless credit card taps, so I was a little nervous, but although the response was slightly slower than with Suica, it worked fine, which was reassuring. The guest took many photos and asked many questions, so the tour took a little longer, but I was able to answer nearly all of the questions and I believe they were satisfied. At Korakuen, the Japanese irises were in bloom, though I thought they were slightly less impressive than those at the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace. The guest walked through the gardens thoroughly and was very pleased. From Nezu Shrine to Yanaka, I was asked many questions about the wartime period and about religion, including temples. There was quite a lot of walking, but the guest managed to walk the entire way safely until returning to the Hotel.

What's a Private One-Day Tokyo Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Asakusa, Ueno, and Meiji Shrine The guests were a friendly group visiting from North America. They walk every day and go to the gym, so walking was not a problem at all. The guests especially enjoyed taking photos and captured many different spots along the way. In Asakusa, we first took in the whole view from an observation deck, then visited Senso-ji Temple. After that, we moved to Ueno, where we visited Shinobazu Pond and Ueno Toshogu Shrine, and had lunch at a sushi restaurant. The guests love sushi, so they enjoyed both sushi and tempura, and said it was delicious. Finally, we went to Meiji Shrine. They said the forest and buildings of Meiji Shrine were very beautiful. The rain mostly held off, and I believe the guests had an enjoyable time.

What's a Private Walking Tour of Hiroshima Peace Park Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visiting from Oceania. They had visited Osaka before coming to Hiroshima. Since the guests wanted to visit the World Peace Memorial Cathedral, we first walked there. They were very pleased with the beauty of the church and the fact that it was built with a wish for world peace. Entering the museum was smooth, but partway through it became crowded due to a group of students; still, I made sure they saw the key points. They said the museum's exhibits were extremely well made and wonderful. They were also deeply moved by the stories of the A-bombed trees and the paper cranes. We walked around the Peace Park and parted ways in front of the Orizuru Tower.

What Is a Full-Day Private Walking Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) guided the group visiting from North America on a full-day private walking tour of Tokyo. The guests had arrived only the day before and were a little tired, but we still walked more than 15,000 steps together. They were surprised to find the Yamanote Line crowded even close to 10:00. The guests had also studied a little Japanese before their trip, and expressions such as "arigato gozaimasu" and "sumimasen" were very well pronounced. Since one of the guests could not eat seafood, they requested yakitori for lunch, and they happily enjoyed yakitori and hand-rolled sushi at a restaurant. As the guests mentioned they would like to see a single act of kabuki on a later day, we stopped by the Kabukiza Theatre on the way back and I introduced some shops around the Ginza crossing.

What's a Private Tokyo Car Culture Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Meiji Shrine, Shibuya, and Tokyo Tower The guests were visiting Japan for the first time from Europe. They were traveling around Tokyo, Mount Fuji, and Kyoto before heading on to the Maldives. As no specific requests had been made in advance, I had planned to guide them to the major sightseeing spots. However, when we met on the day, they specified a particular location, an auto parts store in the Shinonome area, so after Meiji Shrine and Shibuya we visited Shinonome, which is a little off the central route, and then headed toward Tokyo Tower. One of the guests, who had experience working for a car manufacturer, had a very strong interest in anything related to automobiles. So when I guided them to the automaker's showroom in Ginza, they enthusiastically looked at the merchandise displayed in front of the second-floor café. They did not make a purchase there, but the group took a commemorative photo in front of the display cars. The auto parts store in Shinonome was not merely a "car supplies shop" but gave the impression of a theme park for car lovers, with a bookstore, café, outdoor gear, and lifestyle goods, and quite a few international visitors were enjoying their shopping there. The guests on this tour also spent more than an hour looking at various items and enjoyed themselves, making tax-free purchases worth several tens of thousands of yen. Because we spent quite a lot of time here, I discussed it with the guests, and since the Imperial Palace was within walking distance of their accommodation, they decided to visit it another day. For this tour, we set Tokyo Tower as the ending point, after which the guests would continue to spend time on their own. At Tokyo Tower, they wished to do the 250m Top Deck Tour, so after helping them purchase tickets, I introduced the photo exhibition about the tower's construction and said goodbye at the elevator entrance. One of the guests was a smoker and initially wished to smoke frequently, twice at Meiji Shrine and once during lunch in Shibuya, but perhaps sensing that there were not many smoking areas, they no longer requested to do so in the latter half of the tour.

What's a Private Tokyo Tour of Meiji Shrine and Takeshita Street Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from North America. Regarding the day's itinerary, we exchanged emails beforehand but could not finalize it, so we discussed and decided it together at the start of the tour. At Meiji Shrine, I began by explaining the flow of Japanese history, the difference between shrines and temples, and the origins of Meiji Shrine. After passing through the torii gate at the Harajuku entrance, we proceeded while I explained the sake barrels and the great torii, and then entered the Inner Garden, where the Japanese irises were just at their best. In the garden, the irises were in full bloom, and while many people were viewing them, the guests were delighted by the magnificent flowers. Afterward, we returned to the main path and went to the main shrine building to offer our prayers. Next, we went to Takeshita Street, where they enjoyed sweets and interacted with animals at an animal cafe, and they seemed to have a great time. For lunch, I guided them to a conveyor-belt sushi restaurant where they could enjoy sushi as well as ramen and sweets. Finally, I explained how to take the subway back to their hotel, and we concluded the tour.
