Title: What Can You See on a Private 6-Hour Tour of Kanazawa? A Licensed Guide's Report Today the weather was very unstable, with rain coming and going, moments of sunshine, and even a burst of hail. Despite these conditions, this 6-hour private tour in Kanazawa was thoroughly enjoyed by the guests. They appreciated the calm, refined atmosphere of the samurai district in the rain. Afterward, we took a route from behind the shrine, through Kuragari-zaka slope, out to the Kazuemachi Chaya district, and then on to the Higashi Chaya district. At a gold leaf workshop, the guests watched how gold leaf is made and even touched actual flakes of gold leaf. At Omicho Market, they tried raw oysters and botan shrimp for the first time and were delighted. Finally, we joined a tour of Myoryu-ji Temple, and the tour ended with everyone very satisfied.

Hello! I’m Yumi Yostutani. I was born in Fukushima, lived in Brazil and Korea, traveled to many countries, and moved many times, even within Japan (Tokyo, Osaka, Okayama and Toyama) I love traveling and I have friends around the world. I am very happy that now traveling is a part of my job. I also speak Portuguese and some French.
I haven’t been settled in a same place because of husbands’s job, but it gave me an opportunity to get to know many places. I am a mom of a 15-year-old girl. I’ve been an English teacher in schools, and taught students from 3rd to 12th grade. I love teaching, and it was a blessing to be involved in education, but when I had to move and leave my job last time, I thought it’s time for me to try guiding which I’ve always wanted to do.
I believe traveling is about discovering wonders. I look forward to the day when I meet you and guide you around Japan. I hope your journey will be full of wonderful discoveries and those memories would stay in your heart to add some new colors to your future life.

Olá! Sou Yumi Yostutani.

Porém, tais mudanças deram- me a oportunidade de conhecer muitos lugares.

    Yumi

What Is a Private Tokyo Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Fukagawa Fudodo and the Imperial Palace East Gardens [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) guide led a private tour in Tokyo on the third day of an approximately ten-day trip to Japan for a group visiting from North America. It was the group's first visit to Japan, and everything they saw seemed fresh and new to them. After I gave an overview of the history of Tokyo and Japan, I mentioned that there is a striking fire ritual to experience, and the guests said they very much wanted to see it, so we went to Fukagawa Fudodo. They were surprised by the extraordinary and powerful atmosphere of the "Goma" fire ritual, and also experienced having their bags purified by the sacred fire. As it was Culture Day, the Imperial Palace East Gardens were uncrowded, so the guests were able to enjoy the contrast between the remains of the Edo period and the modern buildings.

What Is a Private Tokyo Museum Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visiting from Asia. They were very cheerful and friendly, and chatted easily throughout the tour. Based on their requests, we visited three locations, and after finishing the first floor of the Tokyo National Museum, our time was up, so we concluded inside the museum. They planned to explore the second floor on their own and then return to their accommodation. They seemed to have a strong interest in Japan and asked me many questions about the country during the tour. It was my first time guiding guests from Asia, and I found their way of interacting with people to be a valuable learning experience for me as well. I believe the guests were satisfied with the tour.

Hi, I am Nobu, a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter (English).
I have been an English guide in Tokyo area since January 2017.
Tokyo is a wonderful city, and you may enjoy this city by yourselves.
Even so, I recommend you go around with a guide, especially if it is your first time visit to Tokyo.
A good guide will help you to understand about Tokyo and Japan as well as how to use convenient but complicated public transportations more effectively.
I am glad if I can help you to make your tour more enjoyable.
I am looking forward to meeting you in Tokyo soon!

What Is a Full-Day Private Walking Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visiting Japan for the first time from North America. They had arrived in Japan about two weeks earlier and had traveled to various places by cruise before coming to Tokyo, and they planned to return home in a couple of days. On this private tour, [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) guided them through Meiji Shrine, Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, Nezu, and Yanaka. It happened to be the day of the final game of the MLB World Series, so the guests checked the news several times during the tour and were very disappointed to learn that the Toronto Blue Jays had lost. Throughout the tour, they took photos at each spot while listening to the explanations and clearly enjoyed themselves. At the end, we returned to the hotel and parted ways there.

Title: What's a Private Tokyo Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Tsukiji and the Imperial Palace The guests were a group visiting Japan. They were very cheerful and showed great interest in food, drinks, and shopping, and they listened seriously to my explanations. They actually enjoyed a lot of food and drinks and made many purchases, which made guiding them truly rewarding. One of the guests was learning Japanese, and since I also work as a Japanese language teacher, I was happy to answer various questions about the language, which they greatly appreciated. One thing I regret as a guide is that I overlooked the items they had purchased, and the knife and sake they bought at Tsukiji were flagged during the baggage inspection at the Imperial Palace. As a quick solution, I had the guests go into the Imperial Palace first to view the garden area, and while they did so, I placed the relevant items in a coin locker at the station and, after returning, guided them through the former Edo Castle area. The guests kindly smiled and said "thank you," which was a great relief, but I should have shown them the coin lockers at the station before heading to the Imperial Palace. I want to be more careful about this in the future.

Hello, my name is Yui, and I am a licensed tour guide interpreter.

I mainly guide visitors in and around Tokyo, where you can experience both the excitement of modern city life and the charm of traditional culture. Japan is a country where history and the present exist side by side, and this unique balance makes every visit full of discoveries. I believe there is always something that will capture your heart, whether it is food, fashion, history, or daily life in Tokyo.

Since I also work as a Japanese language teacher, I can help you learn a few simple phrases during the tour if you are interested. Using Japanese to greet or chat with locals will surely make your trip even more enjoyable and memorable.

I hope you will take home wonderful memories, and I sincerely wish you enjoy your stay in Japan.

What Is a Private Yanagawa River Boat Tour Like During the Hakushu Festival? A Licensed Guide's Report On the day of the tour, the Hakushu Festival was being held, which shortened the normal operating hours of the river boat cruise and was expected to cause crowding, so the meeting time was moved up by an hour and a half. Even though we arrived before the departure of the first boat, we were still unable to board it. During the waiting time, I stood in line while the guests looked at the exhibits and strolled around the area so they would not get bored. Because the ancestral home of Yoko Ono's grandfather was located in Yanagawa, the boatman sang "Christmas Time," and since one of the guests was a huge Beatles fan, it turned into a big sing-along with the boatman. The guest seemed to be having a great time, and the atmosphere on the boat became lively. At Ohana, they seemed to particularly enjoy the garden with its quietness and the sound of the waves.

Can You Do a Private Day Trip of Tokyo for First-Time Visitors? A Licensed Guide's Report I had the pleasure of guiding a sightseeing tour of Tokyo for guests visiting Japan for the first time from North America. They had arrived the previous day and mentioned that they would be traveling to the Tohoku region with relatives starting the next day. Today happened to be the deciding game of the Major League Baseball final, and being big Dodgers fans, the guests kept checking the progress of the game on their smartphone. In the first half the team was trailing, but the game was tied in the 9th inning, and when it was decided in the 11th extra inning, the guests were moved to tears. They were especially delighted to have spent the moment of the Dodgers' victory—with standout performances by Ohtani and ace pitcher Yamamoto—here in Tokyo.

Hi friends, I’m Seky, a tour guide in Tokyo, but I cover all over Japan, namely from Hokkaido to Kyushu. I have lived overseas for more than 15 years in total, such as US, UK, Singapore and others, and enjoyed local culture there. Back in Japan, I wish I could help travelers to Japan enjoy Japanese culture, and this is why I became a tour guide.
In Tokyo, my favorite places are Shibuya, Harajuku, Asakusa, and if you are interested in fish market, I’d love to take you to the world largest Tuna auction and/or if you are sports lovers, I’ll go to ball games (baseball) too.

Title: What Can You See on a 6-Hour Private Tour of Sendai and Matsushima? A Licensed Guide's Report It was the middle of a three-day holiday weekend, and both Sendai and Matsushima were extremely crowded. In particular, the Loople Sendai loop bus is really the only option for getting from Zuihoden to Sendai Castle Ruins, and when I checked the bus stop it looked like we might just be able to get on, so we boarded. At Sendai Castle Ruins, the guests asked me again about the Sendai Daikannon statue visible from there. It really does seem to catch everyone's attention. They also asked about an unusually flavored ice cream they had heard about, and when I suggested it might be the zunda shake, they enjoyed it and found it delicious. According to the plan, we were going to return to Sendai Station from the south bus stop at Sendai Castle Ruins via the Sendai subway, but the roads were terribly congested, so at the guests' suggestion to call a taxi, I hailed one using an app. They had a reservation for the 3:00 Matsushima sightseeing cruise, so they were clearly aware that time was limited. For lunch in Matsushima they said they wanted to try beef tongue and oysters, and their choice was surprisingly safe: fried oysters and beef tongue curry at a local restaurant. Next we were scheduled to visit Entsuin, but having learned about the illumination, they decided to go there after the tour instead. We took a light stroll around Fukuura Island, stopped by Godaido, and then headed to the pier. When I asked which company's sightseeing boat they had reserved, it turned out to be the busier of the two companies. The ticket counter had told them to line up early, and when I dropped them off at the pier 15 minutes before departure, there was already a very long line. While we were on the move, they asked where they should go after the tour, and since they had plenty of energy, I recommended Oshima as another good spot. They said they would explore Shiogama the next day. I suggested that Umanose, located between Matsushima and Shiogama, is also interesting. The guests wanted to see both Sendai and Matsushima in six hours, so it became quite a time-constrained itinerary, but the guests seemed to enjoy it. They kept joking around and making me laugh the whole time.

At the Imperial Palace, they listened with great interest to historical explanations about the role of the Emperor, the Meiji Restoration, and the Edo Shogunate. The guests asked for help purchasing bullet train and other tickets to travel to Hida-Takayama, so I guided them to the ticket office at Tokyo Station and assisted with the ticket purchase. At the Tokyo National Museum, they were delighted to be able to learn about Japanese culture and history. At Senso-ji Temple, they listened with interest to explanations about the differences between temples and shrines and about the Kaminarimon Gate, and they purchased souvenirs such as ukiyo-e prints along Nakamise Street. Since I responded exactly as the guests wished, I believe they were satisfied.

I am Seizo Kamiuto, National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter (English). I was born in Kagoshima City in Kyushu (Southern part of Japan) and grew up there until the graduation from a high school. I came to Tokyo to enter a University in Tokyo and since then, I have lived in Tokyo for more than 40 years and therefore I know Tokyo and its suburbs and Kagoshima City very well. After retiring from an IT company, I have been working as a Guide Interpreter of English since March 2018. I have guided many overseas guests to the popular sightseeing spots in Tokyo, Kamakura, Mt. Fuji area (Kawaguchiko Lake etc.), Hakone, Nikko, Yokohama, Kawagoe and Kagoshima and so on. I have received good reviews from many guests. I can explain the history and the culture of Japan in detail. I look forward to an opportunity to guide you in Japan. Thank you. Seizo Kamiuto

What Can You See on a Private One-Day Tour of Tokyo? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from North America. Today was the first day of their sightseeing, and they planned to stay in Tokyo before moving on to Kyoto and then continuing to another destination in Asia. Based on their request to experience the essence of Tokyo within a very limited time, I guided them to the places they wished to see, adding Shinjuku to the itinerary. The weather was fine today, and Meiji Shrine was especially lively as it was the day before the annual grand festival. We were able to encounter a chrysanthemum exhibition, families celebrating Shichi-Go-San, and a wedding ceremony, all of which delighted the guests greatly. For dinner, a sukiyaki restaurant had been reserved in the Hibiya area, and since the guests planned to relax at a cafe until then, we parted ways in Marunouchi.
