Can You Do a Private One-Day Kyoto Tour in Early Autumn? A Licensed Guide's Report Today's guests were part of a group who came to Kyoto for sightseeing over a three-day weekend, after attending a business meeting. The guests were visitors from North America and Europe. One of the guests was a big baseball fan and was following the live broadcast of a major championship final game during the tour, so it seemed that sightseeing was hardly the priority at times. As it was the middle of a three-day holiday weekend, every place we visited was extremely crowded, but the maple leaves had begun to change color, and I believe the guests were able to fully enjoy early autumn in Kyoto.

Title: What's a Private One-Day Museum Tour of Hakone Like? A Licensed Guide's Report Since Mount Fuji can be seen from there, I recommended the ropeway, but the guests explained that they would be taking a basic route including the ropeway on a separate tour with another guide the following day. This made clear the reason they wished to focus on visiting museums today. However, since the guests did not have a Hakone Free Pass or an IC card, we purchased a Hakone Free Pass at Gora Station. The guests said they were full from breakfast and did not need lunch, so we spent the entire day exploring the museums. The autumn foliage happened to be at its peak, and both inside and outside the museums were full of vibrant colors, which the guests thoroughly enjoyed. Recently the Picasso Pavilion has also allowed photography as long as no flash is used, and the guests took many photos, including there.

What Is a Private Guided Tour of Aizu Like? A Licensed Guide's Report With the guests' agreement, we traveled by taxi, which allowed us to move smoothly between many sightseeing spots. It was a little unfortunate that it rained from time to time, but I don't think it had a major impact on the sightseeing. The guests showed great interest in trying to understand the history of Aizu and asked many questions. For lunch, they were able to enjoy Aizu's regional cuisine, which they said was a wonderful experience. The sake tasting at the sake brewery was a first-time experience for them, and they shared that it was enjoyable to be able to learn something about Japanese sake as well.

I am an experienced tour guide mainly for FIT tours.
I have also guided several tours on this website.

Aizu, Sendai, and Matsushima are very popular sightseeing spots for foreign travelers.

They have different charms from other areas, such as Tokyo, Kyoto.

I hope to help you enjoy the scenic beauty away from the hustle and bustle of the city, historical sights, unique samurai culture, local delicacies and wonderful traditional art craft.

I will customize the best plan for you according to your requests and make your trip a special and memorable one.

Can You Do a Private Autumn Tour of Sapporo and Hokkaido? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from North America. They mentioned they had visited Japan four or five times before, but this was their first trip to Hokkaido. Before coming to Hokkaido, they had toured Lake Kawaguchi and its surroundings. They spoke about admiring the beautiful figure of Mount Fuji, which they viewed from a sightseeing boat. Since they came to Hokkaido at the peak of the autumn foliage season, they thoroughly enjoyed the golden and crimson colors of the trees, which are rare in the area where they live. In Sapporo, they said they very much wanted to eat ramen, so I guided them to Ramen Yokocho.

What Is a Private One-Day Tokyo Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visiting Japan on a tour of about two weeks, arriving from North America. They had already explored Kyoto and Osaka, and this Tokyo tour took place near the end of their trip. One of the guests had visited Japan twice before, while for another it was the first visit. Since the weather was fairly good, we went to the observation deck of the Metropolitan Government Building next to the Hotel, where Mount Fuji, capped with snow, came into view. Seeing Mount Fuji for the first time was a wonderful moment for the guests. At Meiji Shrine, we happened upon preparations for the autumn grand festival, and they enjoyed strolling through the hundred-year-old man-made forest. When they grew hungry on Takeshita Street, I suggested tonkatsu, which they immediately agreed to, and they savored a delicious lunch.

Title: What Can You See on a Full-Day Private Walking Tour of Tokyo? A Licensed Guide's Report The tour began with a meeting at the Hotel right on time. We walked toward the Tsukiji Outer Market while I explained the back streets of Ginza along the way. Unfortunately, it was Sunday, so the Tsukiji fish market itself was closed, but we strolled through the Outer Market. After that, we headed to Asakusa. The guests took many photos of Nakamise Street and the Senso-ji temple buildings. From there we went to Sendagaya via Kanda. We entered Shinjuku Gyoen from the Sendagaya gate, saw the Taiwan Pavilion and the Japanese garden, and then continued to Shinjuku Sanchome in the sub-city center. A chrysanthemum flower exhibition was being held inside the garden, and the guests were delighted, taking many photos and saying "beautiful, beautiful." From there we went to Meiji Jingu. Since the following day was the birthday of Emperor Meiji, there were many visitors. Within about 45 minutes we saw three wedding ceremonies and four or five Shichi-Go-San celebrations, which helped the guests understand that religious ceremonies are still very much a part of life here. In Shibuya, we finished by taking photos and videos of the Hachiko statue and the scramble crossing. I believe the guests enjoyed the day. As a souvenir, I received some chocolate from Oceania.

Title: What Can You See on a Private One-Day Kyoto Tour? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from North America. They were traveling in Asia and Japan. The weather was perfect for sightseeing, and since it was not as crowded as expected (perhaps due to the influence of Game 7 of the MLB?), the tour proceeded relatively smoothly. I took the group to Nijo Castle, Kinkaku-ji, Ryoan-ji, and Arashiyama. Because the schedule was tight on time, I did not make a lunch reservation at a restaurant, and instead the guests had a light meal at a fast-food restaurant. One of the guests said that the rock garden at Ryoan-ji left the strongest impression, while another said the Ninomaru Garden at Nijo Castle was the most memorable. Since there was a little time on the way back, we stopped by Gion Shirakawa before returning to the hotel.

Title: What's a Full-Day Private Tour of Central Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Ginza, Tsukiji, the Imperial Palace, Meiji Shrine, and Shibuya The guests were visitors from Europe. They had come to Japan on the recommendation of a family member who had traveled here in May and enjoyed it very much. They had arrived at Haneda the previous night, and after staying in Tokyo they planned to travel to the Kansai region, Takayama, Iida, and other areas. Since they were interested in Japanese culture, I first introduced the central district of Ginza and then took them to the Tsukiji Outer Market. As they had already had breakfast, they were not able to eat much there, but they said they would like to come back another time on an empty stomach. At Namiyoke Shrine and Tsukiji Hongwanji, I explained the differences between Buddhism and Shinto, the influence each has had on Japanese culture, and how to worship, which they found very informative. They said they would like to learn more deeply about Shinto. At the Imperial Palace, I spoke about the differences and history between the British royal family and the Japanese Imperial family. At Meiji Shrine, we happened to see Shichi-Go-San visits and a wedding ceremony, and the guests seemed deeply moved by these customs unique to Japan. Finally, we headed to the Shibuya Scramble Crossing on the weekend so they could experience the scene that is unique to this place. At the end, I explained the way back to their hotel and concluded the tour.

    Hello and welcome to Tokyo!

I have been working for business with American companies for many years. I have many experiences guiding customers from around the world in Japan and taking Japanese customers to the USA and Europe.

I now have a national license as a guiding interpreter, and I want to introduce the unique gigantic city of Tokyo and the traditional Japanese culture, which is not shown in the guidebooks, to people worldwide who are interested in it. In addition, I want to introduce various Japanese foods you can enjoy only in Japan.
Unique experiences such as the Sumo Training Viewing and Tea Ceremony are optionally available.
Depending on your preference and itinerary, I can guide you in Tokyo, Kamakura, and Hakone so that you can enjoy your time in Japan.

What Is a Private Nara Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting from Asia, both around the same age as me, so I was able to guide them in a relatively relaxed manner. Before the tour, they had given me a challenging request: "No shrines or temples. No Buddha statues either. We only want to look at buildings from the outside." So at the very beginning I said this: "Neither Shinto nor Buddhism is a religion" (here I paused for a good while) "like Christianity, Judaism and Islam." After explaining various things, the guests came to an understanding, saying something like "I see, Buddhism is kind of a philosophy. Shinto is worship of nature." As a result, I was able to guide them to shrines, temples, and the Great Buddha without any problem. At the end, they wanted to do "crazy shopping," so we parted ways at Mochiidono Shopping Street, which is becoming increasingly popular with tourists. They said they would love to come back to Nara again.

Hello! Thank you for choosing Nara! I bet you’ll love Nara. I specialize in Nara because Nara is the unique place where in one day you can cover the history and religions of Japan from the ancient times to the post war era while enjoying rambling in the UNESCO World Heritage park, having communication with lovely deer, surrounded with the beautiful nature.
I grew up in Nara, went university in Kyoto, enjoyed teaching at high schools and a university in Osaka. The three former capitals of Japan are home to me.
After retiring from teaching I began guiding so that I can meet various people from various corners of the world with a variety of cultures and backgrounds. Each time I guide, I find it hugely rewarding because I learn a lot from my guests sharing the history, culture and all that I know about Nara, Kyoto and Osaka.
I used to be a marathon runner, mountain climber and skier though I am not much of them anymore.
What I especially recommend is to stay in Nara a couple of days and enjoy communicating with friendly deer while visiting UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Nara in early morning, temples and shrines at night are well worth experiencing.

Can You Do a Private Kumano Kodo Walking Tour to Nachi from Kii-Katsuura? A Licensed Guide's Report I boarded the same limited express train as the guests from Koza Station. Having asked for their seat numbers the day before, I had reserved a seat behind them. Unlike the rain of the previous day, the weather was clear, which delighted the guests. We changed trains at Kii-Katsuura and got off at the Daimon-zaka parking area, where I gave a brief explanation of the Kumano Kodo before we started the walk. Along the way, we took commemorative photos by the giant cedar trees, and the guests took many photos, saying the scenery of Daimon-zaka was beautiful. We decided to have lunch around the top of the slope, and the guests ordered a kaiseki-style menu. By the time we finished lunch, we were running a little behind schedule, so I explained that it might not be possible to catch the bus from Nachi to Hayatama. Since the guests also wanted to film videos at Nachi, we decided to skip Shingu. At Seiganto-ji Temple, they listened attentively to the explanations. At Kumano Nachi Taisha, they experienced the tainai-kuguri. They also took photos at the three-storied pagoda, and afterward, at Nachi Falls, they took photos and filmed videos at several spots. After that, we traveled by bus to Kii-Katsuura, had coffee at a cafe, and the guests chatted with other travelers. Since we had walked a great deal, I guided them to a hot spring footbath, and afterward they did some shopping at a convenience store. We boarded the train together, and before arriving at Koza, I said goodbye to the guests and ended the tour.

Hello, my name is Kiyoko. I have been a local English guide since 2016. I have studied the history and folklore at a local guide club and have an experience of guiding guests from various countries. I am good at Takijiri Oji-Takahara Jinja, Hosshinmon Oji-Hongu Taisha and Daimonzaka-Nachi Taisha, Seiganto-ji, Nachi Fall. Besides Kumano, I can guide Koyasan, Okunoin, Kongobu-ji, Danjo Garan, Niutsuhime Jinja and Jison-in. I have been to Koyasan 30-40 times . My aim is sharing a great time with guests while guiding. See you in Kumano or in Koyasan.
