They were also delighted by the view of Mount Fuji from the rooftop. – At Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine, they were especially captivated by the grounds set among the cedar groves. They were also interested to learn that it serves as a starting point for climbing Mount Fuji. – On the Lake Kawaguchi sightseeing boat, Mount Fuji was very clearly visible and they enjoyed the panoramic view. All of them thoroughly enjoyed the day. They said, "It was a wonderful day. It was perfect," which made it a very rewarding day for me as well.

    The guests were visitors from North America. They were all friendly and easygoing, and the conversation was lively, making for a warm and cheerful tour. As it was their first time in Japan, they asked many sharp and insightful questions. They listened intently and showed a deep understanding. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom and there were many people enjoying hanami, and the guests found Japan's cherry blossom viewing culture very interesting. Although there was a limit on the number of people allowed inside the castle, we were able to climb all the way up to the top floor of the castle keep, which they were very pleased with. After the tour, the guests said they wanted to eat oysters, so I recommended a restaurant to them.

    Title: What's a Private One-Day Kyoto Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Kinkaku-ji, Nijo Castle, and Gion The guests were a group visiting from Europe. It was their first time in Kyoto. I took them to Kenninji Temple, Nijo Castle, Kinkaku-ji, and finally Gion (Gion Shirakawa), where we said goodbye. The weather was perfect spring warmth, and cherry blossoms still remained in many places. Since it was a Sunday during the sightseeing season, Nijo Castle, Kinkaku-ji, and Gion in particular were extremely crowded. Kenninji Temple, located in front of the hotel, was not so crowded, so we were able to visit at a relaxed pace. One of the guests seemed to be a photography enthusiast and spent a long time taking pictures everywhere. Especially at the last stop, Gion Shirakawa, they took many photos in front of the cherry blossoms at night. I sometimes worried about whether my English was getting through, but the guests commented that although it was very crowded, Kinkaku-ji was wonderful. After the tour ended, I took them to an okonomiyaki restaurant and said goodbye.

    What's a Private Tokyo Day Tour Like During Cherry Blossom Season? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from Oceania. They had requested specific destinations in advance, but since it was one of the last chances to see the rows of cherry blossom trees, part of the course was changed to add Chidorigafuchi. Due to the previous day's rain and strong winds it was nearly the final opportunity, but they were able to see the magnificent rows of cherry blossoms and were deeply moved. In Harajuku, they enjoyed a uniquely Japanese animal café at the Harajuku Hedgehog Café, which had been reserved in advance, and they were also pleased to eat "okonomiyaki" as they had requested. At the end, we stopped by Odaiba before heading to TeamLab, and they mentioned they wanted to stop by again on the way back to see the fountain show.

    Title: What's a Full-Day Private Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Asakusa, Ueno, and Meiji Shrine I guided a group visiting from North America. Since their hotel was near Sensoji Temple, which can be visited at any time, we first viewed the cherry blossoms in full bloom along the Sumida River embankment before heading to Tokyo Skytree. As advance reservations were required to use the elevator at Tokyo Skytree, we viewed it only from the surrounding area, but the guests decided they could return later, so we moved on to the next destination, Ueno Park. At Ueno Park, we enjoyed the rows of cherry trees in full bloom and the scenery of Shinobazu Pond, and the guests also enjoyed shopping at the food stalls and having lunch. Afterward, we walked to Yushima Station, took the subway to Otemachi, and I guided them to a distant view of Tokyo Station, the Nijubashi Bridge, and the Sakuradamon Gate. We then transferred subways to head to Meiji Shrine, and the guests were very impressed by the cleanliness of the Japanese subway and the length of the trains. At Meiji Shrine, they were moved by the tranquil environment, the beauty of the architecture, and the size of the torii gate. After that, I guided them to Takeshita Street, but since they wished to enjoy shopping freely, we parted ways there, although it was still within the scheduled time. The guests had just arrived in Japan the day before, and they showed strong interest in eating at the food stalls in Ueno Park. Overall, they appeared to be very satisfied.

    During my university years, I lived in a dormitory for four years and had the opportunity to live with many international students.
    Of course, we spoke English.
    After graduating from university, I started working as an English teacher at a junior high school.
    I was able to have a fun teaching life while interacting with many students. During that time, I continued to study English on my own and obtained the pre-1st grade English proficiency test.
    After that, I worked for the Board of Education as a supervisor in charge of English education, and then managed a school as a vice principal, and later principal.
    After retiring from teaching, I took the TOEIC (L&R) and achieved my highest score of 945.
    I also obtained a license as a national guide-interpreter, and began working as a guide for overseas visitors in English.

    What Is a Private Family Day Tour of Kobe Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting from Oceania, and they moved through the day smoothly. They were very pleased that the Kobe Municipal Subway offered free rides for some of the guests. While some of the guests looked at each spot with great interest, others did not seem particularly interested in the sights. In addition, some of the guests were a bit hungry, so unfortunately they did not appear to be enjoying themselves throughout. Therefore, after viewing the great bridge, I introduced a nearby local bakery, where they bought some sweet buns and ate them at a nearby park. When I presented a handmade drawstring pouch, they were very delighted, saying that such an item would be very hard to find at home. After the tour, since they planned to enjoy authentic "Kobe Beef" in Nankinmachi, I introduced a few restaurants, and we then parted ways.

    I would like to warmly welcome you to Japan this time. I am from the city of Kobe, which is of course, well-known for very tasty Kobe Beef . You can taste
    real genuine Kobe Beef here. Kobe is also called “Home of Japanese Sake” with lots of Sake breweries, and I recommend you would visit those breweries
    if you have any interest in Japanese Sake as well as one aspect of Japanese cultures. Of course, you can have tastings of various kinds of Sake there.

    Whenever during the tour, I always try to make it safe, pleasant and comfortable for all of the guests, which is my first priority. I am very much confident
    that you can have a pleasant and unforgettable experience in Japan. Just tell me about your preference; what you would like to like to see, have, know
    and eat and so on. Particularly, I hold the license for cooking qualified by the government here and maybe, I can reply you for questions related to the
    foods here. In this respect, I strongly recommend you would try not only famous Japanese cuisine such as Sushi, Tempura or Suki-yaki but some
    Japanese traditional local foods, like Tako-yaki, Okonomi-yaki and Kushkatsu. They are sometimes called the soul foods of Japan. Here is the brief
    explanation for these three foods.

    1) Tako-yaki
    Tako-yaki is a snack filled with pieces of octopus in a batter of flour , egg and soup stock. You can call them octopus dumplings or balls. “Tako” means
    octopus and “yaki” means grilled or broiled.
    2) Okonomi-yaki
    This word Okonomi-yaki means “cook just as you like” and you can use whatever you like as toppings, such as beef, pork, shrimp, squid and octopus.
    Okonomi-yaki is round shape and just like pancakes or pizza in shape mainly made from egg, flour and water.
    3) Kushi-katsu
    Kushi-katsu is skewered cutlet or deep-fried foods on a stick. “Kushi” means skewer and “katsu” means cutlet. Various kinds of foods are used for
    ingredients such as beef, pork, chicken, shrimp, squid, octopus and lots of kinds of vegetables.

    Actually, the western Japan including Osaka, Kobe and Himeji is called as “Home of such local soul foods”. You should give it a try and I am sure
    that you like them very much.

They arrived at Narita Airport on the morning of the tour and joined this tour that same afternoon. As they had just completed a 14-hour flight and appeared to be experiencing jet lag and fatigue, I selected less crowded sightseeing spots at their request. The cherry blossoms lining the path at Kyu-Shiba-rikyu Gardens had just passed full bloom, but the guests were moved by the Somei-Yoshino cherry blossoms blooming magnificently on the large branches. At Meiji Jingu, they greatly enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. They were especially fond of the scent of the forest and said they wanted to stay there forever. As they appeared tired, after consulting with the guests, we wrapped up the tour a little early, and I saw them off at their hotel to conclude the day. The guests mentioned they would be departing the next morning on an 11-day cruise around Japan.     Title: What Can You See on a Full-Day Private Tokyo Tour? A Licensed Guide's Report on Meiji Shrine, Nezu Shrine, Ueno, and Asakusa The guests were a group visiting from Europe. Their accommodation was a private lodging, which I found quickly. We went from Hatsudai to Meiji Shrine. At Meiji Shrine, I explained its history and religious background, and everyone showed great interest. Since it was their first time in Japan, they were moved by everything they saw. Afterward, we walked along Takeshita Street in Harajuku, and they wondered why it was so crowded with people. From there we went to Nezu Shrine. The azaleas were in full bloom, so we paid the entrance fee and strolled around the hill covered with blooming azaleas. Then we walked to Shinobazu Pond in Ueno. In Ueno, I took them to a sushi restaurant I frequent, which they enjoyed very much. After that, we went to Asakusa and toured Senso-ji Temple and the surrounding area. Finally, I saw them off back to Hatsudai.

A Licensed Guide's Report I guided a group visiting from Europe on a family trip, and they appeared to be thoroughly enjoying their stay in Japan. As an icebreaker, I showed them photos from a bicycle journey I made through Europe about 50 years ago and shared my memories of that time. The guests looked at the photos with great interest, recognizing some of the places. However, they remarked, "After 50 years, things have changed quite a lot, haven't they?" — a comment that made me keenly aware of the passage of time and drew a wry smile as I noticed the gap with my own perception. In contrast to the previous day, we were blessed with fine weather, and the tour proceeded comfortably throughout the day. Along the way, the guests enjoyed ice cream and coffee, and the overall pace was relaxed and leisurely. I had the impression that they were able to spend calm, quality time together as a group. From start to finish, the atmosphere remained warm and pleasant, making for a fulfilling day.

    I traveled many countries in my younger days. I traveled Europe, US, China, India, US, Mexico, Peru Australia, NZ, and so on.

    I’m afraid but no tipping required, because cycling guides are not allowed to have tipping in my association. And you do not need to pay for my lunch, because my lunch is prepared by our group.

    What Can You See on a Private Day Tour of Osaka? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from Oceania. Although the booking came through a travel agency, the guests kindly shared specific requests in advance, which allowed us to carry out the tour as planned, including a reservation-only visit to the Asahi Beer Museum and purchasing a kitchen knife at Doguyasuji. We were unable to board the Gozabune boat at Osaka Castle because it filled up on a first-come basis, but we were blessed with cherry blossoms in full bloom and clear skies, and the guests seemed very satisfied. Each of the guests picked up their own favorite souvenirs — beer, a sashimi knife for enjoying fishing, and an apron — and it was a fulfilling day marked by their warm rapport.
