    What Does a Private One-Day Tokyo Tour Look Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guest was a visitor from Europe who was in Japan for the second time. After sightseeing in Tokyo, the guest planned to travel to Kyoto. At Sensoji Temple, the guest showed interest in the Kaminarimon Gate and the many souvenir shops along Nakamise Street. At the Imperial Palace, the guest listened with great interest to explanations about the Meiji Restoration and the relationship between the Emperor and the Shogun. At Meiji Shrine, the guest seemed impressed by the grand and solemn atmosphere as well as the barrels of sake and wine. In Shibuya, the guest enjoyed taking photos of the Scramble Crossing. Since I responded exactly as the guest wished, I believe the guest was satisfied with the tour.

    What's a Private One-Day Tour of Tokyo Like for First-Time Visitors? A Licensed Guide's Report This was a first-time visit to Japan for the group from Europe. They planned to travel to Tokyo, the Kansai region, and Hiroshima over the course of a week. After managing to obtain PASMO cards, we started from Fukagawa. We arrived just in time for the start of the goma fire ritual, and although the guests were startled by the loud drums and conch shell trumpets, they mentioned that the sound of the conch shell resembled the wooden horn-like instruments once blown by Vikings in Europe. They were fond of the amulets at Meiji Shrine and purchased four of them. After I took them to the entrance of Takeshita Street in Harajuku, we moved on to the Shibuya scramble crossing and parted ways at a café with cold drinks.

    What Does a Private One-Day Kyoto Tour Cover? A Licensed Guide's Report on Fushimi Inari, Arashiyama, and Kinkaku-ji I met the group of guests from North America at Kyoto Station, confirmed the day's itinerary, and started the Kyoto tour. As the rainy season had just ended, we visited Fushimi Inari Taisha in very high temperatures. I explained Shinto and the foxes of Fushimi Inari Shrine, we worshipped at the main hall, and while explaining omikuji fortunes, we moved toward the Senbon Torii path. The guests enjoyed the power spots "Omokaru-ishi" and "Negiage-no-matsu" before descending from Mount Inari. Next, we moved to the Monkey Park, which some of the guests had been looking forward to. After working hard to climb the steep slope, they enjoyed feeding the monkeys, and a keeper called over one monkey so they could take a commemorative photo together. After descending Mount Iwata and crossing the Togetsukyo Bridge, we had lunch at a ramen restaurant, and then moved toward the bamboo grove. Passing through Kameyama Park, we leisurely toured the bamboo grove and Nonomiya Shrine before moving on to the next destination, Kinkaku-ji. At Kinkaku-ji, I explained the golden Shariden, but because of the heat we finished the visit a little early and moved to Nishiki Market. After strolling through the market together with the guests, the scheduled time had come, so we parted ways there. The guests said they would continue walking through the shopping street afterward and think about where to have dinner.

A Licensed Guide's Report on Shitennoji, Sumiyoshi Taisha, and Shinsaibashi The guests moved at a relaxed pace, but at each stop they took great interest in what they saw. They prayed sincerely at both Shitennoji Temple and Sumiyoshi Taisha. The heat today was intense, so I made sure we frequently stayed hydrated and chose covered shopping arcades whenever possible to avoid the sun, but even so the heat was quite demanding. One of the guests wished to purchase a Japanese-made tablecloth as a souvenir, so we searched several shops along Doguyasuji and in Dotonbori without success, and finally at the Daimaru department store in Shinsaibashi they were able to find and buy a favorite one. They were also grateful that, after completing the paperwork, the consumption tax was refunded and they could make the purchase tax-free. Since the balance on their public transportation IC card was low, they topped it up. After checking out today they were heading to Tokyo and planned to return home the following day.

    real genuine Kobe Beef here. Kobe is also called “Home of Japanese Sake” with lots of Sake breweries, and I recommend you would visit those breweries
    if you have any interest in Japanese Sake as well as one aspect of Japanese cultures. Of course, you can have tastings of various kinds of Sake there.

    Whenever during the tour, I always try to make it safe, pleasant and comfortable for all of the guests, which is my first priority. I am very much confident
    that you can have a pleasant and unforgettable experience in Japan. Just tell me about your preference; what you would like to like to see, have, know
    and eat and so on. Particularly, I hold the license for cooking qualified by the government here and maybe, I can reply you for questions related to the
    foods here. In this respect, I strongly recommend you would try not only famous Japanese cuisine such as Sushi, Tempura or Suki-yaki but some
    Japanese traditional local foods, like Tako-yaki, Okonomi-yaki and Kushkatsu. They are sometimes called the soul foods of Japan. Here is the brief
    explanation for these three foods.

    1) Tako-yaki
    Tako-yaki is a snack filled with pieces of octopus in a batter of flour , egg and soup stock. You can call them octopus dumplings or balls. “Tako” means
    octopus and “yaki” means grilled or broiled.
    2) Okonomi-yaki
    This word Okonomi-yaki means “cook just as you like” and you can use whatever you like as toppings, such as beef, pork, shrimp, squid and octopus.
    Okonomi-yaki is round shape and just like pancakes or pizza in shape mainly made from egg, flour and water.
    3) Kushi-katsu
    Kushi-katsu is skewered cutlet or deep-fried foods on a stick. “Kushi” means skewer and “katsu” means cutlet. Various kinds of foods are used for
    ingredients such as beef, pork, chicken, shrimp, squid, octopus and lots of kinds of vegetables.

    Actually, the western Japan including Osaka, Kobe and Himeji is called as “Home of such local soul foods”. You should give it a try and I am sure
    that you like them very much.

    Title: What Is a Rainy-Day Private Tokyo Tour Like? Two weeks earlier they had arrived at Narita and headed straight to the Kansai region. They toured Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, and Hiroshima before arriving in Tokyo the previous day. The night before, they had strolled around Ginza and enjoyed ramen. They were staying in Tokyo for only three days, and planned a day trip to Mount Fuji the next day. "We had always wanted to come to Japan, and this time it finally came true," they said. The tour took place in rainy weather. Despite the rain, Asakusa was very crowded. I explained the history of Senso-ji Temple as well as the history of Edo and Tokyo. There were questions such as "Do all Japanese people believe in Buddhism?" and "Are there people who believe in religions other than Buddhism?" Everyone drew omikuji fortune slips, and there was great excitement as the results were shared. We went to the Tsukiji Outer Market, and I explained the difference between Tsukiji Market and Toyosu Market. The guests eagerly looked around in every direction and bought some bean snacks. They also enjoyed grilled king crab, shrimp, oysters, and scallops standing at the food stalls. They asked, "Why are there so many people here?" and remarked, "There are so many kinds of fish," and asked, "Do all Tokyo residents come here to buy fish?" At Meiji Shrine, there were questions such as "What is the purpose of a torii gate?" and "How do Buddhism and Shinto differ?" There were also questions about the Japanese Imperial family and "Why did the Meiji Restoration happen?" In the rain, we took a break at a cafe near Meiji Shrine. After that, we strolled along Takeshita Street and Cat Street, then moved on to Shibuya and crossed the Scramble Crossing. There was a question: "Why is it so crowded here?" The guests also commented, "The whole city is clean," "The subway is quiet and no one is being loud, completely different from the subway back home," and "The public restrooms are clean and pleasant." I saw them off at Kyobashi Station, where we parted ways.

    In the past, I was stationed in Canada, the United States, and Mexico as an expatriate of a Japanese bank for over 11 years.
    Since I have been mainly involved in the financing business in the United States for a long time, I think I am able to provide interpretation and translation services related to business and finance.
    I am a certified CPA in the United States.
    In addition, for three years from April 2016, I will be engaged in Japanese-English translation work (part-time), and I can also handle translation work.

    What Is a Private Hiroshima and Miyajima Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting from Europe. Since some of the guests did not speak much English, the tour was conducted with translation into their local language, which meant it took longer than expected. They listened with great interest, and I received many questions from the guests. For lunch they chose okonomiyaki, and some of the guests had it without sauce. After lunch, we returned once to the Dome to take photos. On Miyajima, the guests took photos with the deer and enjoyed soft-serve ice cream. Although we went considerably over the scheduled time, the tour ended safely at Hiroshima Station. The guests mentioned they would have dinner and then head back to Osaka.

    I was born and raised in Hiroshima. My first tour in English was as a volunteer guide for the visitors to my school when I was a junior high school student. It gave me a great opportunity to study about the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima.
    I spent my life in Hiroshima except for 6 years; 1 year in the UK as a student and 5 years working in Singapore and Malaysia. During this period I enjoyed meeting and talking with people from different cultural backgrounds.
    These experiences encouraged me to be a licensed tour guide.

    In Hiroshima, there are two famous World Heritage Sites, the Atomic Bomb Dome in the Hiroshima Peace Memorial & Itsukushima Shrine in Miyajima.
    I have experienced many tours of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum & Park since I was a junior high school student. I would like to introduce you to the a-bomb legacies that are still existing in the city and the stories under the mushroom cloud.
    I also would like to share time with you on a historic island, Miyajima. There is one of the most famous Shinto shrines, the Itsukushima Shrine. We can share an enjoyable time by exploring a sacred atmosphere, tradition, nature, food, etc.

    I am also an official ‘A-bomb legacy successor’ designated by the City of Hiroshima. An A-bomb Legacy Successor is a memory keeper of the A-bomb survivors.     What Is a Private Tour with a Licensed Guide in Japan Like? A Guide's Report The guests were friends with a group I had guided earlier in July. They had originally planned to come to Japan together but had postponed their trip by two weeks due to scheduling reasons. Since they had already received many photos from their friends, they nodded knowingly at the places I showed them. Because I did not want them to feel any sense of unfairness when everyone gathered together after returning home, I proceeded with the tour while carefully recalling the places I had shown and the explanations I had given to the previous guests. Although there was a slight breeze, it was 36°C hot, and since they were planning to head to Hiroshima early the next morning, we wrapped up a little earlier than scheduled at the guests' request. They said it had been a very good day. As the intermediary agency had instructed us to use taxis as much as possible, we used taxis for the entire itinerary with the guests' consent.

    Title: What Can You See on a Private One-Day Tokyo Tour? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from North America. Tokyo was their first stop, where they spent a little over a week around Tokyo and the Kansai area before boarding a cruise. [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) guide led this private one-day tour of Tokyo for the guests. Arriving at Tokyo Station from Yokohama, we found unusually heavy police security around the Marunouchi Central Exit. Wondering whether a ceremony such as the presentation of credentials by a new ambassador to the Emperor might be starting, we waited for a while, and it turned out to be a motorcade of the Imperial Family returning to the Imperial Palace. The guests were surprised to witness such a rare event. We were able to visit the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace, Tsukiji, Harajuku, and Shibuya, but ran out of time to visit Meiji Shrine, which the guests seemed a little disappointed about. Since the guests wished to return once to the hotel in Yokohama and then go to Chinatown, we parted ways on the train platform heading from Shibuya toward the hotel.

From Osaka Port, we took the metro via Umeda to the Umeda Sky Building Floating Garden Observatory.
