What Is a Private One-Day Tokyo Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Asakusa, Tsukiji, and Shibuya

The guests were visiting Japan for the first time from Europe. At Sensoji Temple, I explained the origins and history of the temple, religion in Japan, and how to make a proper visit. We bought fried rice cakes at Nakamise and ate them within the temple grounds. At Tsukiji, we did some window shopping while soaking up the market atmosphere. The guests purchased small plates at a Japanese tableware shop. We enjoyed freshly made sushi at the counter. In Shibuya, after viewing the scramble crossing, we actually crossed it and went to a Starbucks. The guests purchased Pokémon cards. I gave them a subway map and explained how to get back to their hotel. I believe they enjoyed it very much.
