Title: What Can You See on a Private One-Day Tokyo Tour? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visiting Japan for the first time from Europe. On the second day of their stay in Japan, I gave them a briefing in the hotel lobby about the history and culture not only of Tokyo but of Japan as a whole, and then we headed to Monzen-Nakacho. In Fukagawa, which was once reclaimed land, a Buddhist temple and a Shinto shrine stand side by side, and the guests enjoyed the charm of this old downtown area. While we were visiting the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace, lightning began to flash, so we temporarily took shelter at a rest area, but since it did not turn into an afternoon shower, we moved on to Harajuku. I guided them through Ura-Harajuku before we parted ways. They shared that they had been able to enjoy a great deal in a short amount of time.

    • 13:20 Tokyo Skytree
    • 14:30 Disband in front of the souvenir shop "THE SKYTREE SHOP" on the 5th floor of Tokyo Skytree

What's a Private Tokyo Tour of Asakusa and Skytree Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests arrived in Japan the day before the tour. At first, some of the guests seemed tired due to jet lag and the intense heat, but their energy returned after seeing the 3D giant cat billboard and the Godzilla head. After that, they responded with smiles even to my limited attempts at their language. While strolling through Nakamise, dark clouds suddenly appeared. The wind began to pick up, and it looked like a sudden downpour could happen at any moment. It started to rain on the way to Tobu Asakusa Station, but thanks to the parasol the guests had brought, we managed to reach the station without getting soaked. By the time we arrived at the observation deck of Tokyo Skytree, the rain had stopped, and the guests enjoyed the view of Mount Fuji.

Kyoto in Half a Day: Hotel Kiyomizu Kyoto & Fushimi Inari Taisha

    Tour Itinerary

    • 9:00 Hotel Kiyomizu Kyoto
    • 9:30 Zuigudo Hall
    • 10:00 Kiyomizu-dera Temple > Sannenzaka > Hokan-ji Temple > Koshin-do Hall > Ishibei-koji Alley
    • 11:10 Yasaka Shrine
    • Moving while sightseeing the Gion Ato Matsuri Festival
    • 12:00 Nishiki Market
    • 12:30 Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine
    • 13:00 End after explaining how to return at the location

Title: What Is a Private Kyoto Day Tour During the Gion Matsuri Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group from a German-speaking region of Europe. Everyone walked very well throughout the day. It was cooler than the day before, so the climb up to Kiyomizu did not seem too difficult. Above all, I wanted the guests to see the Ato Matsuri today, so we hurried from Kiyomizu to Yasaka. Just as we arrived at Yasaka Shrine, we were able to see the children's parade, and when we continued on to Kawaramachi, we were also in time for the Yamaboko Junko procession. Because we had hurried, we had extra time, so we went on to Fushimi Inari Taisha via Nishiki Market. At Inari we were caught in a little rain, but we managed to make our way around. The guests were also very interested in the festival and enjoyed watching it.

Bye bye smart phone!! Let’s enjoy Japan without bothering to check up your phone all the time with not AI but a local guide like me. Hi, my name is Mimmy. You may think this sounds like a kitten’s name.
I use this nickname because it sounds cute and easy to remember. However,
I actually look rounded, a middle aged woman more like a yellow character of M&Mchocolate, which reminds you of my name easily when you see me.
I was born in Osaka, went to school in Kobe, went to work in Kyoto and married but still live in Osaka. I am a local, native Osakan. My 3 children are all grown up and live separately except one son. Now I live with one son and a husband in suburbs of the Osaka city.
I like travelling, walking around the town and anything new.
I got my guide license in 2017 and started guiding after that. I wasn’t able to work during Covid period but start guiding in 2022 again. I guide Osaka, Kyoto, Nara and Kobe and have experienced more than100 tours including bus tours.
I would like to tell you about the itineraries I usually have in each area.
In Osaka, we usually go to Osaka castle, Shinsekai and Dotonbori Namba area.
I think most important part you should see is Dotonbori Namba in Osaka.
This place is vibrant , energetic, full of 3D signs and different from any other place in Japan.
In Kyoto, we cannot see all famous sightseeing spots in one day.
It will be better to visit each area respectively. I recommend guests who come to Kyoto first time to visit East area, Kiyomizu Temple>Sannenzaka>Ninenzaka>Ishibeikouji>Yasaka shrine> Gion area. This area has an atmosphere of traditional old Kyoto. The most Kyoto like places which suit Kimono. You can rent Kimono in a lot of places around here.
The second place I recommend you is West area: Golden temple and Arashiyama area where Bamboo forest , Tenryuji temple, mountains and a river. There are several nice gardens in this area. If you want to enjoy the nature quietly, you
should come here when it is not crowded (Winter is the most quiet)
In Nara which used to be a capital even older than Kyoto, we visit Todaiji Temple where a huge Buddha is sitting inside of one of the largest wooden hall and you can play with deer everywhere in Nara. Naramachi: a small town in this area is a local place where small interesting shops are.
In Kobe, a port city, you can visit Japanese Sake breweries, Herb garden and the top of Mt.Rokko for viewing Kobe city. A small China town is there, too.

Now I bet you want to leave home to explore somewhere else you do not know.
Not only going to somewhere else, we can help you to do several experiences: making tea, making Japanese sweet, making Takoyaki(food), wearing Kimono, making food samples, attending a tea ceremony, throwing Shriken like Ninja, Using bow and arrow like Samurai, , , ,
I am very happy indeed if I can help you find things impressive enough and have once in a life time experience during our tour.
I am looking forward to sharing a good time with you.

Title: What Is a Private Sapporo Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Okurayama and Shiroi Koibito Park The guests were a group visiting from Europe. Rain was a concern mainly in the morning, and I was especially worried about the timing of our visit to the Okurayama Ski Jump Stadium. Since a special occasion was coming up the following month, the group made a commemorative photo box at Shiroi Koibito Park. As completing the box took quite a long time, we used the waiting time to have a meal at Shiroi Koibito Park before heading to the Okurayama Ski Jump Stadium. This actually worked out well, as it allowed us to go there once the rain had stopped. After that, in order to do some shopping for a small instant camera called a "Cheki," we visited the electronics stores near Sapporo JR Station. By that point we had already gone well over six hours, but wishing for the group to finish the tour happily, I stayed with them until the end. As dinnertime was approaching, I introduced some places to eat around Sapporo Station, and once they had decided, we said our goodbyes.

Himeji Castle & Koko-en in 1 Day Tour

    Tour Itinerary

    • 6. 15:00 @ Mount Shosha Engyoji Temple (Maniden, Daikodo, Jogyodo, Jikido)
    • 7. 16:40 Disband @ Himeji Station North Exit

What Is a Private One-Day Himeji Castle and Engyoji Temple Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report Today's guests were a group visiting Japan for the first time from Africa. After meeting in front of the central ticket gate at Himeji Station, we visited the Castle View (an overview explanation of Himeji Castle), then went via the Shinki Bus Center (to purchase round-trip discount tickets for the bus and ropeway), and toured Himeji Castle, Koko-en Garden, and Engyoji Temple on Mount Shosha. It was quite a hot and humid day, but everyone stayed energetic throughout. At the restaurant in Koko-en Garden, some of the guests did not eat meat, but we managed to select dishes that worked well for everyone. When we visited the Shosha Ropeway after Koko-en, we were told that the scheduled ropeway had been suspended. This was because thunderclouds were approaching. In fact, while we were waiting, there was tremendous heavy rain. Fortunately, the next ropeway was running, so we went to the mountaintop station and visited the Maniden Hall and the Three Halls (the Daikodo Great Lecture Hall, the Jogyodo Hall, and the Jikido Hall). However, due to the timing of the Shinkansen tickets the guests had purchased, we returned to Himeji Station without seeing the exhibition on the second floor of the Jikido Hall, and the tour ended. Although there was some impact from the thunderstorm, the guests were pleased with the tour.

What Is a Private Afternoon Walking Tour of Kyoto Like? A Licensed Guide's Report At the agency's request made in advance, the tour started a little earlier, beginning at 14:00. The guests were a group visiting from North America. They arrived in Kyoto this morning, traveling via Tokyo and Kanazawa. Despite the heat, everyone was full of energy and completed the planned course on foot as scheduled. Some of the guests enthusiastically took photos, while others especially enjoyed strolling along Sannenzaka and Ninenzaka and shopping for souvenirs. We arrived at Hanamikoji Street in Gion just as our time was up, and we parted ways there. The next day they planned to visit Nara, followed by Osaka and Hiroshima. Although their stay in Kyoto was short, it seems they were able to enjoy it to the fullest in a condensed way.

Title: What's a Private Day Tour of Nara and Osaka Like from Kyoto? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visiting Japan for the first time from North America. They were staying in Kyoto and did Nara sightseeing until 1:00 PM, then moved on to Osaka before heading back to Kyoto in the evening — an ambitious schedule. Keeping in touch by smartphone, we met up at Kuromon Market 40 minutes earlier than planned. Given the heat, the guests understandably seemed tired. After visiting Osaka Castle, there was an idea to head straight back to Kyoto, but we concluded that we would visit Yasaka Shrine near Namba and then go to Dotonbori. By the time we reached Dotonbori, the heat had eased, and the guests were amazed by the lively atmosphere of Dotonbori. I introduced some places to shop and eat. Since the guests wanted to enjoy strolling around the streets and having a meal on their own, we parted ways a little early. I had been a bit worried that moving to Osaka might be difficult in the heat, but the group was full of energy, and I hope they enjoyed Osaka's famous local dishes.

What Can You See on a Private Tokyo Day Tour Beyond the Classic Sights? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting from North America. It was their first time in Japan, and they planned to travel to Kyoto after sightseeing in Tokyo. The guests requested, "Since we will visit Meiji Shrine, the Imperial Palace, Senso-ji Temple, and Tokyo Skytree with another guide tomorrow, please show us other places," which resulted in the tour route described above. Some of the guests were interested in the 100-yen shops on Takeshita Street, as well as the anime books and the Don Quijote store in Akihabara. At Tsukiji, the guests enjoyed Japanese food such as sushi. In Shinjuku, they enjoyed strolling through Omoide Yokocho, Golden Gai, and Hanazono Shrine. Since I responded exactly to the guests' wishes, I believe they were satisfied.

I am Seizo Kamiuto, National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter (English). I was born in Kagoshima City in Kyushu (Southern part of Japan) and grew up there until the graduation from a high school. I came to Tokyo to enter a University in Tokyo and since then, I have lived in Tokyo for more than 40 years and therefore I know Tokyo and its suburbs and Kagoshima City very well. After retiring from an IT company, I have been working as a Guide Interpreter of English since March 2018. I have guided many overseas guests to the popular sightseeing spots in Tokyo, Kamakura, Mt. Fuji area (Kawaguchiko Lake etc.), Hakone, Nikko, Yokohama, Kawagoe and Kagoshima and so on. I have received good reviews from many guests. I can explain the history and the culture of Japan in detail. I look forward to an opportunity to guide you in Japan. Thank you. Seizo Kamiuto

  • Hakone in 1 Day by Private Car

Hakone in 1 Day by Private Car

    Tour Itinerary

    • All transportation by Hakone Mobility, Mr. Okuba
    • Waiting at Ten-yu 11:06 Received an email from John requesting pickup from Kowakidani Station. Met the driver and headed there. After meeting, returned to Ten-yu, stored luggage, and discussed the itinerary.
    • Hakone Open-Air Museum and lunch. Then Sounzan, ropeway, Owakudani, Mt. Fuji and black eggs. By ropeway to Togendai 7. 15:10 pirate ship cruise, disembark at Hakonemachi Port.
    • At Maruyama Bussan, presentation experience and yosegi marquetry shopping. Then returned to the hotel, dismissed at 16:45

Title: What's a Private Day Tour of Hakone Like from Odawara? A Licensed Guide's Report The pickup point was originally set for Odawara at 9:30, but at the guests' request it was changed to a hotel meeting at 11:00, and ultimately the pickup took place at Kowakidani Station. [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) guide led this private tour for a group who were in very high spirits. Naturally, they were hungry, so we headed first to the Hakone Open-Air Museum, but the buffet was temporarily closed to new entries due to a large group. Since they preferred not to spend too much time and were interested in something quick, we had lunch at a café instead. Inside the museum, they enjoyed themselves, including interacting with some kindergarten children. At Owakudani, Mount Fuji unexpectedly came into view, so they took many photos and tried the famous black eggs. On Lake Ashi, they thoroughly enjoyed the pirate ship cruise on deck. At Maruyama, after a presentation on yosegi marquetry woodwork, they tried opening a puzzle box, each purchased items to their own liking, and also took photos with the shop staff, all of which they enjoyed. They were looking forward to the hot spring tonight. They kindly invited me to join them, but of course that would not be appropriate.
