    What Is a Private Osaka Day Tour Like During the Tenjin Festival? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from North America who had come from Kyoto and were staying in Nagoya, so the tour began after leaving their luggage at Shin-Osaka. Since it happened to be the day of the Tenjin Festival, I wanted them to experience the festival, so we went to Osaka Tenmangu Shrine. They became hungry, so we looked for a restaurant, but only a yakiniku (grilled meat) place was open, and we ended up having a meal in the early evening, which left us short on time and unable to visit Dotonbori. Because it was hot, I suggested the Osaka Museum of Housing and Living, but the guests wanted to see Osaka Castle, so we went there, although they did not seem very interested in the castle. It felt like the plans shifted around a bit, but I believe the guests were satisfied.

    Bye bye smart phone!! Let’s enjoy Japan without bothering to check up your phone all the time with not AI but a local guide like me. Hi, my name is Mimmy. You may think this sounds like a kitten’s name.
    I use this nickname because it sounds cute and easy to remember. However,
    I actually look rounded, a middle aged woman more like a yellow character of M&Mchocolate, which reminds you of my name easily when you see me.
    I was born in Osaka, went to school in Kobe, went to work in Kyoto and married but still live in Osaka. I am a local, native Osakan. My 3 children are all grown up and live separately except one son. Now I live with one son and a husband in suburbs of the Osaka city.
    I like travelling, walking around the town and anything new.
    I got my guide license in 2017 and started guiding after that. I wasn’t able to work during Covid period but start guiding in 2022 again. I guide Osaka, Kyoto, Nara and Kobe and have experienced more than100 tours including bus tours.
    I would like to tell you about the itineraries I usually have in each area.
    In Osaka, we usually go to Osaka castle, Shinsekai and Dotonbori Namba area.
    I think most important part you should see is Dotonbori Namba in Osaka.
    This place is vibrant , energetic, full of 3D signs and different from any other place in Japan.
    In Kyoto, we cannot see all famous sightseeing spots in one day.
    It will be better to visit each area respectively. I recommend guests who come to Kyoto first time to visit East area, Kiyomizu Temple>Sannenzaka>Ninenzaka>Ishibeikouji>Yasaka shrine> Gion area. This area has an atmosphere of traditional old Kyoto. The most Kyoto like places which suit Kimono. You can rent Kimono in a lot of places around here.
    The second place I recommend you is West area: Golden temple and Arashiyama area where Bamboo forest , Tenryuji temple, mountains and a river. There are several nice gardens in this area. If you want to enjoy the nature quietly, you
    should come here when it is not crowded (Winter is the most quiet)
    In Nara which used to be a capital even older than Kyoto, we visit Todaiji Temple where a huge Buddha is sitting inside of one of the largest wooden hall and you can play with deer everywhere in Nara. Naramachi: a small town in this area is a local place where small interesting shops are.
    In Kobe, a port city, you can visit Japanese Sake breweries, Herb garden and the top of Mt.Rokko for viewing Kobe city. A small China town is there, too.

    Now I bet you want to leave home to explore somewhere else you do not know.
    Not only going to somewhere else, we can help you to do several experiences: making tea, making Japanese sweet, making Takoyaki(food), wearing Kimono, making food samples, attending a tea ceremony, throwing Shriken like Ninja, Using bow and arrow like Samurai, , , ,

    Title: What's a Private Tokyo Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Meiji Shrine, Shibuya, and Harajuku The guests were visitors from North America, and they had come to Japan to celebrate a milestone. Ahead of the tour, I received plenty of information about the interests of one of the guests, which helped me prepare. After strolling through Meiji Shrine, we headed to Shibuya to see the famous scramble crossing, which had been one of their requests. We then went to Shibuya Scramble Square, where we took a quick look at fashion accessories and cosmetics so that they could return later if they wished. After stopping by the Hachiko statue, we went back to Harajuku. Since the guests were fond of matcha, we took a break at a café, and they were delighted with the high-quality matcha. After checking the location of a cat café they had requested, we walked along Takeshita Street and then to the Ura-Harajuku area, which is well known for its selection of vintage clothing. The guests purchased the clothes they had been looking for and seemed very satisfied. As they planned to return to Shibuya, we parted ways there.

    Can You Do an Afternoon Private Tour of Hiroshima Peace Park and Miyajima? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting from North America. Interestingly, the tour started at 2:00 in the afternoon. In addition, the group had requested to visit both the Peace Memorial Park and Miyajima. For this 4.5-hour tour, I asked the guests to have lunch beforehand on the bullet train, and unlike usual, at the Peace Memorial Park we passed by everything except the Atomic Bomb Dome and the museum, then moved on quickly to Miyajima. There was a series of very tight transfers, and keeping to the schedule while ensuring everyone's safety was quite thrilling. What impressed me greatly was that, while we were all walking on the sandy area in front of Itsukushima Shrine at low tide, one of the guests picked up an empty bottle that had been discarded. Even Japanese people tend to walk past such things, so this may well have been the first time I had seen such a sight. For some reason, my Carp spirit was fired up as well, and, not wanting to be outdone, I ended up picking up plenty of plastic bottles myself. With this kind of spirit, let's all move the earth together!

    Can You Do a Private Walking Tour of Kyoto's Nanzenji and Nijo Castle? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting Japan for the first time from Europe. Although there was no reply to my advance messages, we met successfully at the hotel. We first walked to Konchi-in at Nanzenji Temple. The guests were able to view the interior of the Hojo, the Hasso-seki tea room, and the Crane and Turtle Garden almost entirely to themselves, and they observed everything with great enthusiasm. As it was extremely hot again today, after seeing the Suirokaku aqueduct we took a taxi to comfortably visit the Ninomaru Palace at Nijo Castle in cooler conditions. In the afternoon, the guests planned to head to the Sagano Bamboo Grove, so on the way to walking to JR Nijo Station we had lunch together at a long-established café. Everyone seemed to be having a wonderful time and appeared to have thoroughly enjoyed sightseeing in Kyoto.

    What Is a Private Osaka Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Sumiyoshi Taisha, Doguyasuji, and Dotonbori The guests were visitors who moved smoothly and had no trouble walking throughout the tour. One of them had friends in Japan and seemed to be very fond of the country, which made the guiding experience enjoyable. The guests listened very earnestly and with great interest to the explanations. At Sumiyoshi Taisha, they prayed sincerely and picked up the popular "Go-Dai-Riki" pebbles, and purchased amulet pouches along with many other charms. At Doguyasuji, they were greatly surprised by the food samples that looked exactly like real food. In Dotonbori, they enjoyed the popular Turkish-performance soft serve ice cream (today served by a Japanese assistant).     I would like to warmly welcome you to Japan this time. I am from the city of Kobe, which is of course, well-known for very tasty Kobe Beef . You can taste
    real genuine Kobe Beef here. Kobe is also called “Home of Japanese Sake” with lots of Sake breweries, and I recommend you would visit those breweries
    if you have any interest in Japanese Sake as well as one aspect of Japanese cultures. Of course, you can have tastings of various kinds of Sake there.

    Whenever during the tour, I always try to make it safe, pleasant and comfortable for all of the guests, which is my first priority. I am very much confident
    that you can have a pleasant and unforgettable experience in Japan. Just tell me about your preference; what you would like to like to see, have, know
    and eat and so on. Particularly, I hold the license for cooking qualified by the government here and maybe, I can reply you for questions related to the
    foods here. In this respect, I strongly recommend you would try not only famous Japanese cuisine such as Sushi, Tempura or Suki-yaki but some
    Japanese traditional local foods, like Tako-yaki, Okonomi-yaki and Kushkatsu. They are sometimes called the soul foods of Japan. Here is the brief
    explanation for these three foods.

    1) Tako-yaki
    Tako-yaki is a snack filled with pieces of octopus in a batter of flour , egg and soup stock. You can call them octopus dumplings or balls. “Tako” means
    octopus and “yaki” means grilled or broiled.
    2) Okonomi-yaki
    This word Okonomi-yaki means “cook just as you like” and you can use whatever you like as toppings, such as beef, pork, shrimp, squid and octopus.
    Okonomi-yaki is round shape and just like pancakes or pizza in shape mainly made from egg, flour and water.
    3) Kushi-katsu
    Kushi-katsu is skewered cutlet or deep-fried foods on a stick. “Kushi” means skewer and “katsu” means cutlet. Various kinds of foods are used for
    ingredients such as beef, pork, chicken, shrimp, squid, octopus and lots of kinds of vegetables.

    Actually, the western Japan including Osaka, Kobe and Himeji is called as “Home of such local soul foods”. You should give it a try and I am sure
    that you like them very much.

    I sincerely hope that I can be your tour guide this time in Kobe, Osaka and Himeji. If my guests said to me after the tour, “I have had a very good

    **Title:** What's a Private Kyoto Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Fushimi Inari and Kinkaku-ji **Body:** The guests were a group visiting from North America. Since one member of the group tired easily when walking, I judged that we should avoid overexertion, so I changed the plan from Kiyomizu-dera Temple to Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine. At Nijo Castle, one of the guests purchased a beautiful wallet and a keychain. Everyone in the group seemed particularly impressed by the beauty of Kinkaku-ji (the Golden Pavilion). As it was relatively uncrowded, we were able to take our time exploring. Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine was also less crowded than usual, so we were able to walk leisurely through the Senbon Torii (Thousand Torii Gates). The only disappointment was that, even though we used the elevator, one of the guests had to stop before the Senbon Torii and waited at the rest area. We were lucky that although it was hot, the sky was somewhat cloudy, which made the heat more bearable.

    What Is a Private Kyoto Day Tour Like in Summer? A Licensed Guide's Report It was a very hot and humid day. The guests were a group from Europe, and at their request the day before, the start time was changed to 7:00 a.m. Because of this, I adjusted the course to begin from Fushimi Inari to match the temple opening times. Thanks to this, it was relatively cool and not crowded. However, as the temperature rose afterward and it was humid, some of the guests became a little tired. After Kiyomizu-dera, we watched the Gion Festival, but since it was hot, we spent some time at a Nintendo shop before having lunch at Nishiki Market, where we parted ways. After the tour, I received a thank-you message via a messaging app.

    What Is a Private One-Day Tokyo Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Tsukiji, Akihabara, Asakusa, and Skytree The guests were a group visiting Japan for the first time from Oceania. Two weeks earlier they had arrived at Kansai Airport and, after visiting Osaka, Kyoto, and Nara, had come to Tokyo the previous night. They planned to stay in Tokyo before returning home from Narita Airport, and mentioned they would visit Disneyland the next day. Since the group included young members, they requested that we walk slowly and use elevators whenever possible. The tour took place during extreme heat, so we made frequent stops to drink water and take breaks. First, we headed to Tsukiji, where I explained the difference between Tsukiji Market and Toyosu Market. At the Tsukiji Outer Market, the guests eagerly explored in every direction and purchased some bean snacks. They also sampled tuna sashimi and grilled beef skewers. They asked and commented, "Why are there so many people here?" "There are so many kinds of fish." "Do all people in Tokyo come here to buy fish?" In Akihabara, we strolled through the electronics district, and the guests purchased character figures. They also asked about maid cafes, wondering what kind of places they are. After that, we moved on to Asakusa, which was as crowded as ever. I explained the history of Senso-ji Temple as well as the history of Edo and Tokyo. There were questions such as, "Do all Japanese people believe in Buddhism?" "Are there people who follow religions other than Buddhism?" "What is the difference between Buddhism and Shinto?" Some of the guests drew omikuji fortunes and were delighted to draw "great blessing" and "blessing." Next, we went to Tokyo Skytree, where I waited at the elevator exit. The guests said, "We really understood how vast Tokyo is. The view was wonderful." They also commented, "Japanese people are all kind and considerate," "They are polite and well-mannered," "Just like in Kyoto and Osaka, the streets in Tokyo are clean with no litter," "The subway is truly convenient," "It is quiet on the subway, with no one making noise," and "The public restrooms are clean and pleasant." Since they wanted to return to their accommodation and rest, I saw them off at Shinjuku-sanchome Station, ending the tour.

    Self-introduction:
    In the past, I was stationed in Canada, the United States, and Mexico as an expatriate of a Japanese bank for over 11 years.
    Since I have been mainly involved in the financing business in the United States for a long time, I think I am able to provide interpretation and translation services related to business and finance.
    I am a certified CPA in the United States.
    In addition, for three years from April 2016, I will be engaged in Japanese-English translation work (part-time), and I can also handle translation work.
    Although I don’t have a qualification in Spanish, but I think I can handle day to day conversation in Spanish without any problems.
    My hobby is trekking and from time to time, take a walk around mountains near Tokyo like Mt. Takao, Tanzawa, etc. I think it is possible to provide tourist information here as well.
    Since April 2015, I have been working as a Tokyo Metropolitan Tourism Volunteer and Tokyo Metropolitan Disaster Prevention Volunteer.
    One more, I have a separate house near Asuka Village, Nara prefecture, and I stay there for a total of about 30 days every year and have been enjoying sightseeing personally in the vicinity. Therefore, I think in the Kansai region, especially in Nara, Asuka, Yoshino, Koyasan, Kumano Kodo, etc., where I think I will be able to tour guide with confidence.

    What Is a Private Kyoto Tour Like During the Gion Matsuri? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visiting from North America, and it was their first time in Kyoto. On the day of the tour in July, it happened to coincide with the latter procession of the Gion Matsuri festival. When I asked, the guests said they had visited Kyoto on this day purely by chance, and they were deeply moved and delighted to see the Yamaboko procession. I got carried away and talked at length about what the Gion Matsuri is and its history, but the guests listened patiently. While I can usually explain these things with images, being able to explain them while actually watching the event is possible only on the 17th and on this day, so despite the intense heat, I could not help but put my whole heart into it.

    Title: What Is a Private Summer Day Tour of Tokyo Like for Guests Visiting Japan for the First Time? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visiting Japan for the first time, arriving separately from different regions and meeting up in Japan for this trip. Some of the guests currently live in North America, while others live in Asia. Japanese gardens and historical sites were among the guests' main interests. Since extreme summer heat was expected, [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) guide chose Rikugien Garden as the first destination, so the guests could enjoy it while temperatures were still a little cooler. The guests were delighted by its beauty and expressed their joy aloud. Next, we visited the Imperial Palace, which the guests also enjoyed. However, the heat gradually became more severe. To avoid walking under the blazing sun as much as possible, I selected the shortest routes from the subway exits to each destination. After lunch, I adjusted the plan toward indoor activities. The guests enjoyed dining and window shopping at Roppongi Midtown. On the other hand, we skipped Meiji Shrine and Harajuku and instead visited an indoor cosmetics-related shop and a drugstore for souvenir shopping, where the guests were able to make their desired purchases. Finally, when I guided the guests to a hobby and lifestyle goods store at their request, even though it involved only about five minutes of walking under the blazing sun, it seemed difficult for one of the guests. I was asked about the best season to visit Japan, and I recommended the autumn foliage season and the cherry blossom season in spring for future trips.
