What Is a Private Walking Tour of Asakusa Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guest was a solo traveler visiting from North America. The guest seemed to enjoy taking photographs and took pictures in many places along the way. The guest was very curious and had a strong interest in Japanese culture, asking many questions with genuine enthusiasm. Since the guest walked at a slower pace, I guided them at a relaxed speed, allowing them to enjoy the sightseeing at their own pace. As souvenirs, I gave the guest a Japanese tenugui hand towel and an imo yokan sweet potato treat from Asakusa, which they seemed very pleased with. Overall, I believe the guest was satisfied with the tour.

What Is a Private Mount Fuji Tour Like from a Licensed Guide? A Fuji Area Tour Report The guests were visitors from North America. They had been to Japan a few times before, but it was their first time in the Fuji area. Since I had gone to greet them at their hotel the evening before, everything went smoothly on the day of the tour. The weather was excellent and Mount Fuji was clearly visible, so I invited them to join a local tour (the Twin Terrace Tour), and they were able to view Mount Fuji from a vantage point at an elevation of 1,600 meters. The guests were delighted and said it would be a lifelong memory. As a keepsake, I presented them with a pair of Mount Fuji sake cups, which they were also very pleased to receive. From here it was on a private basis, but after the tour ended we shared dinner together, and I took them to a restaurant serving delicious houtou, a local regional dish, which they also seemed to thoroughly enjoy.

What's a Traditional Private Day Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Ginza, Asakusa, and Ikebukuro The guests were a group visiting from North America, most of whom were in Japan for the first time, apart from one who had visited before for work. Before this tour, they had already visited several major sights on their own, including Meiji Shrine, the Imperial Palace, and Shibuya, and for this tour they wanted to explore more traditional places. Before heading to Asakusa, we got off at Ginza, where I introduced them to the food floor of the Mitsukoshi department store, and then walked to East Ginza to show them the Kabukiza Theatre. We also stopped by Tokyo Station, where they took family photos with the station building in the background. Inside the Marunouchi-side station building, I showed them how to take selfies from below with the interior of the dome ceiling in the background, which they really enjoyed. Because of how hungry everyone was, after arriving in Asakusa we decided to have lunch before visiting Sensoji Temple. Since they had expressed a wish to eat tempura, I guided them to a long-established tempura restaurant. They thoroughly enjoyed tendon and tempura soba. At Sensoji Temple, they did not wish to try omikuji fortunes, but some of the guests purchased several omamori charms. After that, we strolled through Rikugien Garden, which they found very beautiful and were deeply moved by. However, since interests can differ within a group, rather than focusing only on traditional sights, we decided to prioritize the wishes of one of the guests, who is a K-POP fan, for the final destination. They wanted to revisit a shop in Ikebukuro that they had visited the day before, so we changed the final stop of the tour from Yanaka to a K-POP store in Ikebukuro. After getting off at Ikebukuro Station we got a little lost, but we finally reached the shop they were looking for, where they purchased bromides of their favorite stars. They were very satisfied.

What's a Private Family-Friendly Day Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting Japan, with one member having been to Japan previously for work about 17 years ago and others visiting for the first time. This was a Tokyo sightseeing day before they planned to enjoy five days of skiing in Nagano Prefecture. At the start, I helped the group purchase an over-the-counter medicine they needed at a pharmacy. We were able to find a suitable children's version similar to what they used back home, and after taking it on the spot, the symptoms soon improved. While we chatted about various things during our travels, the group mentioned they wanted to buy books for studying Japanese, so we stopped by MARUZEN in Nihonbashi, where they purchased tax-free Japanese learning materials, including study books for children. They were very satisfied to be able to choose from a wide variety, including educational manga. During the following train ride, one of the guests was eagerly reading the study manga. For lunch, since one of the guests could not eat pork, I guided them to a chanko restaurant in Asakusa where chicken options were available. The group ordered a chicken mince set and a fried chicken set and enjoyed sharing them, while another member ordered a sashimi set and also enjoyed sake served in a wooden masu box. Meiji Jingu was close to its closing time and we could not enter, but I gave an explanation while we looked at the first torii gate. After that, on Takeshita Street in Harajuku, I introduced a recently expanded piglet cafe that has become very popular, which delighted one of the guests very much. At our final destination of Shibuya, the evening illuminations had just begun to light up the town, and the group enjoyed the sparkling scenery of Tokyo. Although it was outside the tour, the group planned to stop by Akihabara before returning to their hotel in Ryogoku. As we parted at the Shibuya ticket gate and I began to leave, I heard my name called again, and when I turned around, they wanted to take a photo together, so we took a selfie as a memory before saying goodbye.

What Is a Private Kyoto Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Fushimi Inari, Gion, and Kiyomizu-dera Today I guided a group visiting from Europe on a private walking tour of Kyoto. The weather was fine, relatively warm, and comfortable throughout the day. Fushimi Inari Taisha was quite crowded, but we were lucky that the Gion district and inside Kiyomizu-dera were not so busy. The guests told me they were interested in Japanese history and culture, so we strolled around while talking about many topics, including Buddhism, Shinto, and how people in Japan spend the New Year. At Yasui Konpiragu, I gave a much more detailed explanation than usual, and I believe the guests enjoyed it. At Kiyomizu-dera, some autumn foliage still remained, and the guests were delighted, saying it was very beautiful.

What Is a Private Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi Autumn Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from North America. It was their first time traveling to Japan, including the Mount Fuji area, and they were very much looking forward to it. The Lake Kawaguchi area was lively with the autumn foliage festival being held there. The tour began with a stroll through the maple corridor, which was one of the highlights, followed by the festival grounds, a sightseeing boat, and a ropeway, allowing the guests to fully enjoy sightseeing around Lake Kawaguchi. Finally, I took them to Chureito Pagoda (Arakurayama Sengen Shrine), which has recently gained recognition and popularity among inbound visitors, where they were able to see the majestic Mount Fuji. As a keepsake, I gave them a Mount Fuji-shaped sake cup glass, which they were very happy to receive. Later, they contacted me via a messaging app and said they were already missing Japan! Overall, I believe they were very satisfied.

Title: What Is a Private Family Day Tour of Kyoto and Arashiyama Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting from North America. They took photos at each spot and enjoyed sightseeing at a relaxed pace while chatting along the way. For lunch, we made a last-minute reservation at a restaurant and were seated with almost no wait. They had hoped to eat sushi, which is why I chose that restaurant, but unfortunately it was not available for weekday lunch. However, the guests said they also liked udon, so they ordered various noodle set meals and spent an enjoyable hour and a half over the meal. After lunch, I had considered guiding them to the bamboo grove in Arashiyama, but since the monkey park was what they were most looking forward to, I decided to take them there instead. They seemed to have a wonderful time and were very pleased when it was over. Afterward, since one of the guests had a massage appointment booked for just after 5:00 p.m. and they said they did not wish to extend the tour, I saw them back to their hotel.

I am an experienced guide, who live in Osaka. I have been a Government-Licensed Guide in English since 2018. I have already guided a lot of tourists overseas in Kansai Area, that is, in the vicinity of my prefecture, Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, Kobe, and Himeji. I am especially good at guiding in Kansai Area with sufficient knowledge of history, culture and transportation. I have guided people ranging from a small group of one or two to a group of 20-50 people in a big bus, that is, a coach. I like delicious food, because Osaka is a city of Kuidaorre, which means that people in Osaka love to eat and never spend too much money on food. Therefore, as an Osakan, I will do my best to explore restaurants which serve most delicious foods in wherever I take to my guests.

This [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) half-day private tour started from Narita Airport, with careful time management being essential to return to the airport in time for the flight back to North America. The weather was pleasant, and we visited the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace and Takeshita Street in Harajuku before experiencing the Shibuya Scramble Crossing. On Takeshita Street, the guests enjoyed candy-coated strawberries and shine muscat grapes, and also seemed to relish familiar kebab dishes.

What's a Full-Day Private Tour of Kyoto Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting from North America. We started at Kinkaku-ji. Bathed in the morning sun, the golden pavilion was beautiful and moving to them. Hearing that one of the guests had an exam coming up, we visited nearby Kitano Tenmangu Shrine to pray, and they were grateful. At Nanzen-ji, we admired the national treasure garden and took time to look at the fusuma paintings. When I told one of the guests, who likes anime, that "the Suirokaku aqueduct at Nanzen-ji is famous as an anime filming location," they were delighted and exclaimed, "No way, amazing!" At Kiyomizu-dera, we enjoyed the view from the wooden stage and experienced the Otowa Waterfall. For lunch, the guests savored curry udon, eel, and tempura soba, saying it was delicious with a smile. At Fushimi Inari Taisha, one of the guests said, "Let's go as far up the mountain as we can." When I mentioned that it would go over our scheduled time, the reply was, "I'll pay for the extra time." We walked up to Mitsutsuji.

Title: What Can You See on a 6-Hour Private Kyoto Tour Starting at Noon? A Licensed Guide's Report [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) is one of Japan's largest networks of government-licensed, English-speaking private tour guides, serving all 47 prefectures. This report covers a private 6-hour Kyoto tour arranged for a group visiting from North America. The tour ran from 12:00 for six hours, with an expected end time of 18:00, so it was planned with the understanding that it would inevitably be dark outside by the end. Since the guests said they were hungry, we decided to start our stroll from Nishiki Market, which also served as lunch. On the way to Nishiki Market, one of the guests purchased an umbrella at an umbrella shop on Shinkyogoku Street. At Nishiki Market, they enjoyed a variety of foods, including charcoal-grilled yakitori, tako tamago, shrimp tempura, and matcha ice cream. Because I wanted to walk through the Arashiyama bamboo grove before it got dark, we headed to Arashiyama next after Nishiki Market. On the way from Arashiyama to Kinkaku-ji, we used the JR line, but I made the mistake of missing the station where we were supposed to get off. We got off at the next station and rode one stop back in the opposite direction, resulting in a time loss of about ten minutes. I apologized sincerely to the guests, but they graciously told me not to worry about it. We managed to arrive at Kinkaku-ji just in time to catch the sunset, and the guests were delighted. By the time we reached Fushimi Inari, it had become completely dark, but they were moved by the beauty of the illuminated torii gates and the main shrine building. Although the plan was originally to see the guests off at their hotel to conclude the tour, at the guests' request we parted ways in front of the torii gate at the rear approach of Fushimi Inari Taisha.
