Wonderful Day Trip to Mt. Koya from the Osaka Cruise Terminal

Japan Guide Agency guide Hiro did an excellent job in escorting my wife and I for a day tour to Mt. Koya, from the Osaka Cruise Terminal. We enjoyed the sanctity of the Mt. Koya area, the peaceful shrines, and the forests of tall trees. Hiro had all the transportation well designed-out, and was able to get us back to the Osaka cruise terminal at the time I had requested. Very satisfied with his service.

My wife and I enjoyed not one by TWO full day tours with Hiro, one in Osaka and one in Kyoto. Hiro knows his stuff and passed along a lot of interesting history. In both cases he came prepared with detailed itineraries including public transit times to make sure we hit all the sites we most wanted to see. When rain became a factor in Kyoto, he adjusted our schedule to optimize for the weather – indoors during heaviest rain and outdoors when weather improved. In Kyoto, he warned us away from eating in one tourist area and instead found an amazing noodle shop for lunch, a completely unique experience. In Osaka, when we found one site he had chosen for us closed – the Museum of Housing & Life – he proposed another site that proved to be very nice. We went to the museum on our own the next day and found it fascinating and fun. He also took us to an outstanding okonomikayi place for lunch. Friendly, well-organized and accommodating, we really enjoyed our tours with Hiro.

Andy was very nice and knowledgeable. He helped customize the tour to our needs. He helped us find a local Udon restaurant for lunch. There is so much to see in Kyoto, it’s important to have a guide to move across town to different venues. We highly recommend him.

Excellent
Andy(Atsushi) was great and communicated with us beforehand about our itinerary. He was flexible with changes we requested. Andy was very informative during the tour. He also was willing to take our family’s pictures. We were able to stop and check out shops as we pleased along the way. He also accommodated lunch requests(as our daughter has food allergies).
One thing I wish we realized was that there is quite a bit of walking. We were fine but for people who are perhaps older or with young children you may want to consider taking a cab between different sites.

We had an absolutely wonderful day with Fumiko and Nino. We saw all the sights we wanted to see in Tokyo. Nino was able to move us efficiently through the city dropping of at the various sights and picking us up without waiting! Nino’s vehicle was comfortable and absolutely spotless. Fumiko reach out to us via email and made up an itinerary that was perfect for our time schedule she is a true professional! We highly recommend this tour and you could not find a better guide and driver combination than Fumiko and Nino.

We had a great time on our tour. Our guide, Fumiko, was very good. She contavted us about two weeks before the tour so she could customize the activities. She was incredibly helpful during all of the planning. She met us at our meering poit with a sign that had identified her, which made the start of the tour easy. Thw tour itself was awesome. She gave good insight about all the locations that we visited. I highly recommend her for any tours.

Don’t visit Tokyo without a guide! You’ll need help to find the good restaurants and interesting spots.

We had a tour with Ms. Fumiko. She was a both knowledgeable and nice guide. She even contacted us days beforehand to design the tour to meet our specific needs and wishes. Much appreciated!

Not only did she show us Osaka in the rain, she went above and stayed with us 45 minutes past the tour time to make sure she brought us back to our hotel and taught us the trains to take and the restaurants around. Sachiko or Choko Ogura is a fantastic guide who not only explained the importance but also the backgrounds and histories in details of the locations we visited.
She is extremely proficient in English but is lovely lady with very helpful and pleasant nature. She guided us about what to do and what not to do.
She is highly recommended and we will be definitely recommending her to our relations and acquaintances.

Takeshi was great with us. He communicated with us beforehand about what we wanted to see, then made arrangements where we would meet. He was there on time to meet us. Our day was fabulous. It was a wonderful way to experience Tokyo and get a real feel for the city. Takeshi was friendly, easy to talk to and yet very professional. He answered our millions of questions and took us to an amazing place for lunch! We had a full day riding the train the train to various highlights. A really fantastic tour.

I had a great time! My guide Peko did an amazing job talking about the history and significance of the area. It’s like time traveling to when Japan was just becoming industrialized. You can tell as soon as you step into the train station nearby. If you go on a holiday, make sure to get your fill of blowfish sushi in the fish market.

This was one of the best excursions we have had on our trip! Our guide , To, was absolutely fabulous! Quite possibly one of the best in Japan! He was so warm; welcoming, informative and most important, punctual! We were cruise ship passengers and To made sure we were on time and kept a rigorous schedule to ensure we are not stressed about missing the ship even though we had a packed itinerary. His wife even made us Origami paper cranes as gifts and To brought us extra folding paper to practice. Definitely don’t hesitate to book with this company when you’re in Hiroshima , and ask for To! He will make your time extra special
