Great time in Tokyo!
We had a great day with Lance! He had a good sense of humor and was so kind to meet us at our Air BnB, which was a bit out of the way. He gave us a great crash course on Japanese history before heading out on our adventure around Tokyo, visiting shrines, markets, a museum and garden. It was so helpful to have him with us navigating the train system, and he took us to an amazing sushi place for a lovely lunch. All in all, it was really fun and we were able to better appreciate the places we visited with him providing information and history along the way. Would definitely recommend!…

Market, temples, Nature, and a great guide
This tour is amazing and Lance was such a great guide. my mother is handicapped and Lance researched the best ways to use the train stations always found us an elevator or ramp. He knew so much about the Japanese culture and history. His English was very strong and easily understood. The temples and markets were beautiful. Two things that really made Lance stand out as a great guide was when we went to the offering area at one of the temples Lance didn’t want us to miss out because we didn’t have a coin so he provided on for each of us. The second thing was I asked a question that he wasn’t sure the answer to, but after the tour I was surprised to see a message from Lance answering my question. He did not gain anything from this I had already paid and tipped him it really just reflected how amazing and dedicated to his job Lance was.thank you Lance for making our tour of Japan so special.

Tour of Tokyo
Our guide, Lance was exceptional! He immediately contacted me after I booked, guiding me through the options. Several days before the tour, rain was in the forecast. Lance revised our options to include mostly indoor tours. He also requested our likes and dislikes prior to picking a lunch spot.

Lance was very knowledgeable about Japan’s history. We appreciated his explanations at each tour site. Descriptions were a nice overview without being overly detailed. Lance’s organization and timing for each stop was spot on and his English was excellent.

It was a pleasure to spend the day with Lance. He epitomized the Japanese culture with his calmness, true kindness and respect for all!

We had a lovely day hiking with Yoshi. He was there waiting for us at Nakatsugawa station. He is very friendly and knowledgeable about samurai history as well as other aspects of Japanese history and culture. The hike was lovely, we lucked out with the weather and the views were magnificent. It was a good break from city tourism to experience the countryside. I definitely recommend doing this activity, and Yoshi is a fantastic guide!

Amazing walk along an ancient route between 2 post towns, with stunning scenery. My guide, Yoshi, was an excellent host with a wealth of knowledge on the history and food of Japan and the area. He recommended a really traditional restaurant for lunch, which served tasty local food. Yoshi’s expertise is highly recommended! I cannot thank him enough for making it an enjoyable hike. Arigato gozaimasu Yoshi.

Nous avons passé un super moment avec Danda. D Asakuza au jardin de Hama rikyu en passant par Ginza et ses boutiques sans oublier le marché aux poissons. Nous avons appris plein de choses sur le Japon et avons pu acheter sur ses conseils du matcha et des baguettes personnalisées. 4h au top avec ma fille de 15 ans. En anglais.

We love Momo Kanagawa! This tour is the perfect introduction to Osaka. Momo is passionate about her beautiful homeland but had also lived in Australia so we had much to chat about! Our sons adored her, she has a wonderful sense of humour, was patient and has incredible knowledge of the rich history and culture of Japan! Momo recommended the perfect lunch spot where we enjoyed Okonomiyaki. We would highly recommend Momo and the Japan Guide Agency and hope to stay in touch with her to develop some language skills and hopefully return to explore Nara! Thank you Momo!

Couldn’t ask for more. Pace was good. We covered a lot of ground in this tour.
Best way is to have a guide. Took the stress out of knowing where to go. Also gave us tips on how to get around.
We were surprised with a small gift at the end of our tour. Very sweet

Michi-san was our amazing guide. The communication for planning the tour was great. She met us at our hotel and we were off for our adventure. We did our tour the first full day we were in Tokyo, so she taught us how to navigate the subway, use our Suica card for the vending machines, and much more. We went to the Meiji Jingu Shrine, Imperial Palace, and Asakusa. Along the way we stopped at several other well known areas which was very fun and interesting. We appreciate all the historical information she shared with us. She was very knowledgeable.

Thank you very much Michi-san for making this trip memorable! Highly recommend this tour.

We had the absolute pleasure of spending the day with Michi, our private guide in Tokyo, and I can’t recommend her enough. She was warm, knowledgeable, and incredibly thoughtful throughout our entire tour.

Michi didn’t just show us the sights—she brought them to life with stories, history, and cultural insights we never would have gotten on our own. She gave us space to take it all in, answered every question with care, and made the entire day feel seamless and personal.

One of the highlights was being guided through both a Shinto shrine and a Buddhist temple, where Michi explained the differences in tradition and meaning so beautifully. She even guided us through a smoke cleansing ritual and taught us how to properly offer a prayer.

If you’re visiting Tokyo and want a truly meaningful and enriching experience, book a day with Michi. It was a day we’ll never forget.

Great Guide for First Day in Tokyo. Wish we had booked more time!
Haruka was the perfect guide for our first day in Tokyo! She gave our family such a warm and welcoming introduction to the city and helped make what could have been an overwhelming experience feel exciting and manageable.

We loved how she combined sightseeing with practical guidance — teaching us how to navigate the train system, explaining shrine customs, and sharing insights about Tokyo throughout the day. Thanks to her excellent preparation, we confidently made our way through Shinjuku Station on our own the very next morning heading to Hakone!

Haruka is knowledgeable, patient, kind, and fun to spend the day with. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide and highly recommend her to anyone visiting Tokyo for the first time.

Haruka was very helpful and kind. She showed us everything we needed to know about the train ride and gave us the information about the shrine, imperial palace and all the places around Tokyo. She was very knowledgeable about the Japanese culture. She asked us where we wanted to go or eat. She was very polite and friendly. We would have her again if we ever needed a guided tour around Tokyo. It was a very fun experience because of her being able to tell us about the city and interesting places.

The best guide in Tokyo
Incredible first day in Tokyo with Haruka, a Viator guide who was extraordinary: smart, knowledgeable, funny, kind, and expert in a very safe, clean, and complicated subway system. The oldest Buddhist temple, a Shinto shrine, a soho-like shopping district, a market called The Food Show with the most glorious sights of fish, meats, fruits, vegetables etc., 6 subway lines, the renown street crossing with hordes of people, and even more. 6.5 hours of walking with 2 water breaks. The best day ever.

The only way to tour if…
The only way to tour if you have mobility issues or want a freestyle itinerary set on your pace. Our driver Yusaku Abe was so extremely helpful and attentive. From loading and unloading the wheelchair to finding just the perfect spot to enter/exit the taxi safety. His vehicle was spotless and he was the best driver. After the first stop he felt like family and he had our best interest and safety at heart. He was a true pleasure. Our licensed guide interpreter Akahori Atsuko was number 1 from pick up at the port to drop off at the ship – a true blessing. She customized our itinerary to our interests and also mobility constraints. Every stop was as explained to us and we had ample time to view and see what we wanted. We even had time at the Shizuoka City Museum of Art to complex a hands on piece of Japanese art. Our favorite stop was the Mt Fuji World Heritage Centre and the close by temple and ponds. We ended the day at a local family restaurant for lunch and both Akahori and Yusaku made our day – we all had become family on this day. As we told them both – Aloha Nui Loa A Hui Hou!

Great Shizuoka Area Experience
We enjoyed a memorable day with Acchan, our guide! Although the weather was unfavorable and we did not get good views of Mt Fuji, we learned a lot about the history and the surrounding area. Perhaps our favorite part of the trip was lunch at a Japanese restaurant just talking and learning about the Japanese culture and language. We also toured the grounds and gardens at Sumpu Castle, ending our day with the best matcha ice cream. Thanks for a great tour, Acchan!

Michi-San was an excellent tour guide. She took us to Shukkei-en which is a beautiful shrine with gardens, water, turtles, koi, and much more. You will get some of the best photographs in Hiroshima. Michi-San provided a wealth of information about the shrine, tea houses, koi, and turtles. We loved it.

Next we went to Hiroshima Castle and Michu-San spent a lot of time going over the history of Japan and the castle. It was extremely informative.

Last we finished up with the Atomic Bomb memorial and museum. Michi-san’s information again was very thorough and informative. All in all we had a great time and would use Michi-San as a tour guide again.

Great customized Itinerary with Mitch!
Mitch was a fantastic tour guide. He was very polite and knew the city very well, so there wasn’t a lost minute in our day. He asked me what my preferences were so he could customize my itinerary, and it was great! I was taken to see some hidden gems out of the traditional touristic circuits (and for that Im really thankful). I feel I learnt a lot about the history and culture of Japan, and I got to listen to many good anecdotes from Mitch. I also had a great soba for Lunch, in a very small and cozy restaurant. Arigatou gosaimasu, Mitch!

Asakusa Sensouji Temple, Imperial Palace & Meiji Shrine.
We had a fantastic day with our guide Mitch, he was very knowledgeable, a kind man & very generous with his time.
Mitch suggested sushi train for lunch pleasing our granddaughter greatly.
I would recommend Mitch for any type of tour, given he has excellent English.
