    Title: What Is a Private Osaka Walking Tour Like for Guests from Overseas? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from Oceania. Although the weather had been a concern, we were fortunate that the rain stopped by the time the tour began. It was also a little cool, which helped us complete the tour comfortably. This time, since Osaka was the final stop on a longer journey, the guests seemed tired. At their request, we reduced the number of places we visited and finished about one hour earlier than planned. Because I had asked in advance about mobility concerns, we used only escalators or elevators for all the ups and downs within the subway station and inside the Osaka Castle keep. At the request of one of the guests, I took them to Doguyasuji to look for a kitchen knife. They found something that matched their budget, purpose, and wishes, and they seemed very satisfied. Also, during lunch, when I mentioned that I like Australian wine, one of the guests kindly gave me advice and even wrote down the locations of wineries and company names on a note. In addition, I was kindly given a magnet as a souvenir. They were very thoughtful and considerate guests.

    What Is a Private Hiroshima and Miyajima Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group from Europe who traveled that day by Shinkansen from Tokyo to Hiroshima. They were very pleasant, listened attentively to my explanations, laughed, shared their impressions, and asked many questions eagerly. The group was very close, always smiling and warm with one another, which made the tour very heartwarming. At the places where I gave explanations, I could speak to everyone together, and while moving between locations I had the chance to talk with each person individually, so I was able to have different conversations with each of them. As a result, at the moment of parting, I was able to say something different to each one. We had a late start this time, but it happened to be low tide, so we were able to walk right up to the base of the Great Torii Gate. They seemed truly moved by the size of the gate and asked many questions. We were also able to see traces of the restoration work. At the okonomiyaki restaurant, they were fascinated to watch it being cooked on the iron griddle right in front of them. Also, matcha is apparently very popular in their home region right now, so they enjoyed matcha ice cream and bought matcha as souvenirs for friends. During the origami crane-folding activity on the Hiroshima streetcar, it looked difficult, but everyone smiled and worked hard to complete their cranes, and they were satisfied to be able to offer them at the Children's Peace Monument. They were surprised to learn that a hospital had been at the hypocenter and said they very much wanted to visit the hypocenter, so I guided them there. When we heard the sound of the Peace Bell, I explained that ringing it carries the meaning of shattering the threat of war and nuclear weapons. They said they wanted to go there, so I guided them. After explaining about the bell, they actually rang it themselves. At the final museum, they witnessed the tragedy firsthand and told me that such a thing must never be repeated, and that they would surely share this experience with others. The conversation flowed well with the very kind guests, and it turned into a wonderful day. Thank you very much for creating this connection.

    Title: What's a Full-Day Private Walking Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from Europe. In their pre-tour communication they said they had no particular requests and accepted our suggested itinerary. At the meeting point, we reviewed the itinerary again and started the tour. Both guests had already purchased a Welcome Suica card. On the train, they kindly shared various stories about their home region. We visited Sensoji Temple, and they loved the atmosphere there, saying they planned to return during their stay in Tokyo. The rain had stopped, but a long line was expected in front of the Otemon Gate of the East Gardens, so to manage our timing we entered through the Hirakawamon Gate and walked to the Ninomaru Garden. One of the guests asked about the attack on Pearl Harbor during the Second World War, and I shared my personal views as best I could. On the way to Shibuya, I sent information by email about Akihabara and the Nippori textile town. We crossed the famous intersection, introduced the Hachiko statue, and then headed to our final stop, Meiji Shrine. The guests listened attentively to my explanations from start to finish. When we came across a wedding procession heading to a ceremony, they kindly shared photos and explained the traditional folk costumes of their home country. We completed all the planned visits without a break, but since they wanted to rest at a cafe before returning to their hotel, I secured seats for them at the cafeteria inside Meiji Shrine, and we parted ways with smiles.     Title: What's a Private Tsukiji and Toyosu Market Food Tour in Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from Europe, and this was my first time guiding guests from this region. Communication was handled mainly through one of the guests. Because the guests walked from their accommodation in Shimbashi to Tsukiji, we were able to start the tour right after meeting up. The requested spots were Tsukiji and Toyosu, and since the guests wanted to eat sushi at both, we took two meal breaks. At Tsukiji, you generally cannot enter the inner fish market before 9:00, so beforehand I explained the outer market, including Namiyoke Shrine. I had heard rumors that Senkyaku Banrai in Toyosu has become popular recently, and it was well received by the guests this time as well. The presence of a somewhat large souvenir shop may also be part of its appeal. In the end, I saw the guests off to Shimbashi Station via the Yurikamome line, and we parted ways.

One of the guests mentioned rarely eating sushi, yet enjoyed a lively conversation with the sushi chef and finished the entire meal, saying it was the most delicious sushi they had ever had. The tour concluded after the guests experienced the old downtown atmosphere of Fukagawa and the thunderous drums of the goma fire ritual at the temple.

    Can You Do a Private Sake Brewery Tour in Nada, Kobe? A Licensed Guide's Report [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) guide led a private sake brewery tour for a group of guests visiting the Nada district, visiting four breweries: Hakutsuru Sake Brewing, Kikumasamune Sake Brewing, Sakuramasamune, and Hamafukutsuru. Although it was unfortunately a rainy day, at Hakutsuru the guests watched an English-language video showing the sake production process, and everyone viewed it with great interest. At each brewery, I introduced its distinctive features and history, and used a comparison sheet I had prepared in advance—visually explaining the differences between junmai-shu and daiginjo, as well as the differences in fermentation methods compared to beer and whiskey—to describe the diversity and appeal of sake. The guests were impressed to learn that so many sake breweries are located within this small area, that each has its own distinctive character, and by the depth and richness of sake production.

    What's a Full-Day Private Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Tsukiji, Meiji Shrine, and Akihabara The guests were visitors from North America who had arrived in Japan the previous night. Since they had suggested their desired destinations in advance, the tour began at the Tsukiji Outer Market based on those requests. As they were very fond of sushi, they enjoyed eating standing up within the market, and because they were also interested in Japanese culture, they asked many questions about delicious sake and beer. At Namiyoke Shrine and Higashi Honganji Temple, I explained the differences between Shinto and Buddhism while observing the sites, and they became interested in Shinto, which they were learning about for the first time, and asked many questions. At Meiji Shrine, they came across a traditional Shinto wedding ceremony and enjoyed experiencing ancient Japanese culture. At the Imperial Palace, I explained the differences between the Japanese Imperial family and the British Royal family, and they seemed surprised by what they were learning for the first time. Afterward, we headed to Tokyo Station, which had been listed as a desired destination, where I gave explanations about its history and appearance, and then we proceeded to Akihabara, the final requested destination, where the tour concluded.

    What Is a Private Day Tour of Kyoto Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Ohara, Ginkaku-ji, and Sake Tasting The guests came from Oceania. I was surprised to learn that they have many young grandchildren. Recently, unless guests have specific requests, I like to guide them to some less crowded spots in addition to the famous sites. Lately, even Hosen-in in Ohara has become much busier with tourists than before. Since it was just after the rain, the green moss in the garden of Sanzen-in was absolutely beautiful. After Ginkaku-ji, we walked along the Philosopher's Path to Nanzen-ji, stopping along the way at Otoyo Shrine, where I explained the various guardian deities (kenzoku). As one of the guests mentioned enjoying all kinds of alcohol, we finished the day by taking the subway to Kyoto City Hall and arranging for them to sample three types of Japanese sake at a standing bar in the underground shopping arcade. They were delighted to have had so many different experiences.
