    What Is a Private Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report Disembarking at Itsukaichi Port took about two hours, so we had to drop Miyajima from the originally planned itinerary and guide only the Peace Memorial Park. When I explained about the wartime student mobilization, we were able to exchange many thoughts about what those times were like. While resting inside the rest house, as a little surprise I brought some chiyogami paper and we folded paper cranes together, and the guests enjoyed it, joking, "It's been a while since I did origami, but it's fun! I'll have to remember how to do this when I get home." From the local atmosphere inside the udon restaurant to the compact yet thriving streets of Hiroshima, the guests seemed to enjoy everything in sight as something fresh and new. Although there were many inconveniences due to the significant delay in meeting up, with the support of [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) we somehow managed to carry it through, which was a relief.

    Title: What's a Private Day Tour of Himeji Castle Like? A Licensed Guide's Report Today's guests were visitors from Europe on their first trip to Japan. After explaining an overview of Himeji Castle from the Castle View, we visited Himeji Castle, Koko-en Garden, and a sake brewery, then returned to Himeji Station to conclude the tour. The guests had reserved-seat Shinkansen tickets to return to Kyoto after the tour, so today's tour was conducted while managing the schedule carefully, and we were able to finish as originally planned. The weather was fine today, and both Himeji Castle and Koko-en Garden were beautiful, so the guests happily took many photos (they told me that Himeji Castle and Koko-en Garden are very famous in Europe). At the sake brewery, I explained the sake-brewing process and then invited them to a tasting, and the guests enjoyed only the paid tasting. Very elegant. At the end of the tour I asked for their impressions, and they said it was wonderful.

    Title: What Is a Private Kumano Kodo Walking Tour from Kii-Tanabe to Nachi Like? A Licensed Guide's Report At 7:30, the guide boarded together at the taxi office in Kushimoto and departed for Kii-Tanabe. The weather was cloudy with occasional light rain, but it was not yet raining in Kii-Tanabe. The guests came down to the lobby a little before 9:00. The tour was a birthday gift for one of the guests from another. At the Takijiri Kodokan, the guests listened attentively to the explanations, and after paying a visit to the shrine together, we set off. Many people were making the climb, but after about five minutes the ascent became steep, so we turned back, took the taxi to an intersection on the way to the Takahara rest area, and resumed the walk from there. We paid our respects at Takahara Shrine and had lunch at the Takahara rest area. The guests enjoyed the scenery. After lunch we moved on to Nachi, took photos at Daimonzaka Sanchome, and visited Seiganto-ji Temple and Kumano Nachi Taisha. By this time the rain had begun to fall in earnest, but the guests enjoyed the atmosphere. We drove to the front of the waterfall, went down to the falls for a commemorative photo, and then got back in the car to head toward Kii-Tanabe. It was raining along the way, but we stopped to take photos at Hashigui-iwa. By the time we reached the hotel in Tanabe, the rain had eased, and we said our goodbyes to the guests and ended the tour. The driver had a lot of driving to do and it must have been demanding, but the schedule was managed skillfully.

    Can You Do a Private One-Day Tour of Tokyo Covering Asakusa, the Imperial Palace, and Shibuya? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from North America, both visiting Japan for the first time. One of the guests had roots tracing back to Japan, with earlier generations of the family having first migrated abroad and later settled in North America, though the original hometown in Japan was not known. They had arrived at Haneda Airport on a direct flight the previous day and taken a taxi to their accommodation. The night before, they had strolled around the area near their accommodation. This was part of a longer trip to Japan, with only part of it spent in Tokyo. They planned to continue on to Kyoto, Osaka, Nara, and Hiroshima before returning to Tokyo and then heading home. The guests were quite knowledgeable about Japanese history and geography and had a good grasp of the key points. They also mentioned, "The Tsukiji Outer Market is very close to our accommodation, so we plan to go there on our own tomorrow." The tour took place under cloudy skies with occasional sunshine, in cold weather. They remarked, "Compared to home, it's really cold and quite challenging." First, we headed to Asakusa. Starting in front of Kaminarimon Gate, I explained about Sensoji Temple and the history from the Edo period to modern Tokyo, the purpose of the five-story pagoda, what Buddhism is, and the difference between Buddhism and Shinto. We took commemorative photos in front of Kaminarimon Gate, the five-story pagoda, and other spots, and slowly strolled along the Nakamise shopping street. The guests asked, "What are the main religions in Japan?" "How many Buddhists are there in Japan?" "Besides Buddhism, what other religions do people follow?" and commented that their family occasionally visits temples back home as well. We then moved to the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace. I explained about Japanese history from the Edo period to the Meiji era, the Meiji Restoration, why Edo Castle became the Imperial Palace, and the history of the Imperial family. There were questions and comments such as, "What happened to the shoguns and samurai after the Meiji Restoration?" "Does the current Emperor of Japan hold any political power?" "Who will be the next Emperor?" "Can a woman become Emperor?" and "How many members are there in the Imperial family in total?" Next, we moved to Harajuku. At Meiji Shrine, I explained about Shinto, torii gates, Emperor Meiji, why sake barrels are displayed, and why wine barrels are also displayed. There were questions such as, "What kind of religion is Shinto?" and "How is Buddhism different from Shinto?" After a break at the cafe terrace by Meiji Shrine, we also strolled along Takeshita Street. They remarked, "A pet cafe would be delightful for our family. We'll bring them next time." From here, we moved to Shibuya. We actually crossed the Scramble Crossing. There were questions such as, "Why do so many people gather here?" and "Why did it become so famous?" We also took photos in front of the Hachiko statue. Since they said they wanted ramen for lunch, we went to a casual ramen restaurant. They commented, "There are plenty of ramen shops back home, but they're all expensive and the taste isn't great." We then moved to Ginza, where I gave a quick tour of the area around 4-chome, and we parted ways in front of the station. There were comments and questions such as, "The streets are so clean and there's no litter," "There are no homeless people around," "Is it safe to walk around even late at night?" and "Why aren't there any trash cans on the streets?"

    Since I have been mainly involved in the financing business in the United States for a long time, I think I am able to provide interpretation and translation services related to business and finance.

    In addition, for three years from April 2016, I will be engaged in Japanese-English translation work (part-time), and I can also handle translation work.

    What Can You See on a Private Tokyo Day Tour? A Licensed Guide's Report on the Imperial Palace, Tsukiji, and Asakusa The guests were visitors from North America, and one of them had family roots in Japan. One of the guests had visited Japan several times before and was especially familiar with the geography of western Japan. The original plan included Meiji Shrine, but since the guests had visited it the day before, I decided to show them the exterior of the Imperial Palace and Tokyo Station instead. Hearing that they would later travel to Kyoto by Shinkansen, I explained where to find the Shinkansen platforms at Tokyo Station. On this particular day, which happened to be the day after a Monday public holiday, the East Gardens were exceptionally closed, yet many people who were unaware of this had gathered in front of the Otemon Gate. Since one of the guests enjoys fishing as a hobby, Tsukiji was very well received. As some of the guests also shopped for kitchen items, we ended up spending quite a long time there. Finally, after a full tour of Senso-ji Temple, we concluded the tour a little later than scheduled.

    I was born in Tokyo and was raised in the suburbs of Tokyo called Tama area. When I was in university, I majored in western dramas, so I am good at playing like an actor.

    Title: What Is a Private Shizuoka Port and Miho no Matsubara Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report We met at the port one hour early and headed to Miho no Matsubara. One of the guests happily played with stones and pebbles along the shore, paying little attention to Mount Fuji, which was clearly visible. We then went to Yume Terrace, where Mount Fuji could again be seen very clearly, but one of the guests was especially fond of the square garden in front of Yume Terrace and enjoyed walking around it in circles. It was interesting to see a perspective different from that of the adults. After that, at the much-anticipated Kashi no Ichi market, some of the guests enjoyed fresh seafood while others had french fries and fried tuna, and then we returned to the port. I introduced the Ferris wheel and street performances at Dream Plaza before we said goodbye.

    What Can You See in a Private One-Day Tokyo Tour? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from North America, and it was their first time in Japan with only a short stay, so I focused on guiding them through the main highlights. As they expressed a wish to visit a mosque, I also took them to Tokyo Camii. For lunch, they wanted noodles but no pork, so I took them to a soba restaurant in the Otemachi area (located within a hotel), and they were very pleased. I did my best to respond politely and attentively throughout the tour, and I believe the guests were satisfied.

    Title: What Is an Early-Morning Private Kyoto Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report This was a private Kyoto walking tour for guests visiting from North America. The tour started early, departing at 07:00, and we walked from the Hotel in the Gion area to Yasaka Pagoda, then along Sannenzaka and Kiyomizuzaka to Kiyomizu-dera Temple. Unlike the usual crowds, the area was quiet and pleasant. We were even able to drink the water at Otowa Waterfall without waiting in line. Fushimi Inari Shrine was also not very crowded, so the guests were able to try the "Omokaru-ishi" stone. The temperature rose from around midday, and although the guests had felt cold the previous evening, I believe the tour was carried out very comfortably.

    What Can You See on a Private Nagoya Tour to Arimatsu and Nagoya Castle? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from North America. During the pre-tour communication about the itinerary, the guests expressed a wish to see the Shibori Kaikan (Tie-Dyeing Museum) in Arimatsu, so I planned the day with an emphasis on visiting Arimatsu as the final site and then returning to Nagoya Port. The guests viewed the exhibits on the second floor of the Arimatsu Shibori Kaikan, watched a live demonstration of shibori tie-dyeing there, and received a careful explanation from the artisan, which delighted them greatly. Since the guests themselves create shibori craftwork, they showed a strong interest. They were also very pleased to see the magnificence of the Honmaru Palace at Nagoya Castle and to visit the museum within the castle grounds displaying the original wall paintings (designated as Important Cultural Properties) before restoration. They enjoyed the tour as a whole.

    **Title:** What's a Private One-Day Kyoto Temple Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report I arrived at the Hotel around 9:10. The meeting time was 9:30, so I waited among the crowd in the lobby. Once the crowd cleared, one of the guests was sitting alone, so I greeted them and we started the tour. We walked to Karasuma Street, caught a taxi, and headed to Ginkaku-ji. The guest showed interest in the Togudo, which was open for a special viewing, and in the other architectural structures. They also seemed to relate to the way Yoshimasa lived. Ginkaku-ji was not crowded, and the guest enjoyed the harmony between the natural surroundings and the garden. At Kiyomizu-dera, the guest was interested in the fine architectural details. They also seemed to like ceramics such as Kiyomizu ware, and they admired the pieces at the pottery shops around Kiyomizu-zaka. The guest took an interest in a poster for a pottery exhibition displayed on Hanamikoji Street and said they would go there after the tour ended.
