What Is a Private Hiroshima and Miyajima Cherry Blossom Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report I guided a group visiting from Oceania. It was a Sunday with wonderful weather, making it a perfect day for cherry blossom viewing. As crowds were expected, I proposed in advance that we use a shopping center food court if the wait at restaurants was long, and the guests kindly agreed. In the end, we were able to find a restaurant with open seats on Miyajima, but as it was an upscale establishment, lunch took longer than expected. While attending to the guests without rushing them, I adjusted the itinerary by making use of shortcuts, and we were able to reach the Peace Memorial Park without any trouble. Overall, it turned out to be a tour handled with flexibility.

Originally, I’m a cycling guide doing cycling tours all over Japan.
But, already done Hiroshima & Miyajima tour more than 400 times.
I traveled many countries in my younger days. I traveled Europe, US, China, India, US, Mexico, Peru Australia, NZ, and so on.
I decided to use this experience to become a guide.
I’m afraid but no tipping required, because cycling guides are not allowed to have tipping in my association. And you do not need to pay for my lunch, because my lunch is prepared by our group.
Please do not hesitate to ask me anything, I’ll change the plan according to your requests.
Thank you for your understanding and please stay connected.

What Does a Private One-Day Tokyo Tour Look Like? A Licensed Guide's Report Covering Meiji Shrine, Tsukiji, and Asakusa The guests were visitors from Europe. The contact details originally provided belonged to a travel agency, and the agency staff shared the guests' messaging app number, after which we communicated directly through the messaging app. Since Omotesando was among their requested spots, we walked to Omotesando Station after visiting Meiji Shrine. As we had time to spare, we also included Takeshita Street. The sushi at Tsukiji was very well received. From Tsukiji we walked to Higashi-Ginza, and I gave a brief explanation of the Kabukiza Theatre. After guiding them through Asakusa at a slightly more leisurely pace, we had nearly reached the scheduled end time, so we parted ways in front of the station.

Hi. My name is Masafumi Miyazaki. Please call me “Sam”. I am a government-licensed guide.
I was born in Tokyo and was raised in the suburbs of Tokyo called Tama area. When I was in university, I majored in western dramas, so I am good at playing like an actor.
I like reading, listening to the music, and walking. I belong to several walking clubs, and sometimes I guide the members around Tokyo.
One of my strengths as a guide is that I know well about kombu, Japanese kelps. In December every year, I work at a traditional kombu shop in Tsukiji Fish Market. At that shop, I learned a lot of things related to kombu or other ingredients for washoku. I can explain the different characteristics of them to you.
Also, I am familiar with Japanese flowers and plants. If you stroll around a Japanese garden with me, I am sure you will be able to enjoy beautiful flowers and unique plants in every season.
I look forward to meeting you. Thank you.

Title: What Is a Private Cherry Blossom Tour of Kyoto Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Fushimi Inari and Kiyomizu-dera The guests were visiting from North America and were traveling in Japan for the first time. On the night before the tour, I received a message that their accommodation had been changed from one Hotel to another Hotel in Kyoto. Since the cherry blossoms were in full bloom today, both Fushimi Inari and Kiyomizu-dera were quite crowded. Along the approach paths, the guests enjoyed shopping at local shops (pickles and pickled plums) and having some light refreshments. After showing them the weeping cherry tree in Maruyama Park, I briefly introduced Yasaka Shrine and Gion, and then the tour came to an end.

What's a Private Day Tour of Osaka Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Osaka Castle, Kuromon Market, and Dotonbori The guests were visiting from Oceania. They were both very friendly. One of the guests was a great photography enthusiast and would sometimes wander off while I was talking with another member of the group, but it was taken in stride with a smile, as if it were a familiar occurrence. We visited Shinsekai, Osaka Castle, Kuromon Market, and Dotonbori, and at Ebisubashi Bridge we enjoyed taking a commemorative photo with the famous Glico pose. For lunch at "Chibo," the guests were very pleased with the okonomiyaki, saying it was even more delicious than what they had eaten in Hiroshima. Finally, at their request, I took them to Doguyasuji to choose a kitchen knife, and we said our goodbyes there.

Title: What Happens If Guests End a Private Kobe Tour Early? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from Asia who had visited Japan several times before and enjoyed sake, and we moved at a slow, relaxed pace. When we visited the first stop, the Nunobiki Herb Garden, the guests said it was different from what they had expected and that they wished to see a Japanese garden instead, so I changed the itinerary on the spot and decided to guide them to Sorakuen, a Japanese garden, after finishing the next stop, the Hamafukutsuru Ginjo Brewery. However, after visiting the Hamafukutsuru Ginjo Brewery, one of the guests was not feeling well and wished to end the tour, so I called a taxi on the spot and we parted ways. I offered to arrange a doctor or hospital if needed, but the guests said that was not necessary and that resting somewhere would be enough. This was the first time I had ever had to cut a tour short, which was very unfortunate. Note) When I checked on the guest's condition in the evening, I was reassured to hear that they had returned to their hotel and felt better after resting.

    Dear my guests,

This is (Mr.) Yama, greeting from Kobe, Japan.
I would like to warmly welcome you to Japan this time. I am from the city of Kobe, which is of course, well-known for very tasty Kobe Beef . You can taste
real genuine Kobe Beef here. Kobe is also called “Home of Japanese Sake” with lots of Sake breweries, and I recommend you would visit those breweries
if you have any interest in Japanese Sake as well as one aspect of Japanese cultures. Of course, you can have tastings of various kinds of Sake there.

Whenever during the tour, I always try to make it safe, pleasant and comfortable for all of the guests, which is my first priority. I am very much confident
that you can have a pleasant and unforgettable experience in Japan. Just tell me about your preference; what you would like to like to see, have, know
and eat and so on. Particularly, I hold the license for cooking qualified by the government here and maybe, I can reply you for questions related to the
foods here. In this respect, I strongly recommend you would try not only famous Japanese cuisine such as Sushi, Tempura or Suki-yaki but some
Japanese traditional local foods, like Tako-yaki, Okonomi-yaki and Kushkatsu. They are sometimes called the soul foods of Japan. Here is the brief
    explanation for these three foods.

    1) Tako-yaki
Tako-yaki is a snack filled with pieces of octopus in a batter of flour , egg and soup stock. You can call them octopus dumplings or balls. “Tako” means
octopus and “yaki” means grilled or broiled.
    2) Okonomi-yaki
This word Okonomi-yaki means “cook just as you like” and you can use whatever you like as toppings, such as beef, pork, shrimp, squid and octopus.
Okonomi-yaki is round shape and just like pancakes or pizza in shape mainly made from egg, flour and water.
    3) Kushi-katsu
Kushi-katsu is skewered cutlet or deep-fried foods on a stick. “Kushi” means skewer and “katsu” means cutlet. Various kinds of foods are used for
ingredients such as beef, pork, chicken, shrimp, squid, octopus and lots of kinds of vegetables.

Actually, the western Japan including Osaka, Kobe and Himeji is called as “Home of such local soul foods”. You should give it a try and I am sure
that you like them very much.

I sincerely hope that I can be your tour guide this time in Kobe, Osaka and Himeji. If my guests said to me after the tour, “I have had a very good
and pleasant time with you today. I hope I can come here again and name you as our guide”, which is my great pleasure. Moreover, I would be
great honored if they say “I like Japan now thanks to you”.

Looking forward to meeting you soon here.

What Is a Private Tokyo Tour with a Licensed Guide Like? Asakusa and Sumida Park Sakura Report I met the guests at their Hotel as scheduled. The guests were visiting from Oceania. Based on information received in advance, I paced the walk slowly and used elevators when taking the subway. We visited Senso-ji Temple and headed to Sumida Park in search of cherry blossoms. Unfortunately, the blossoms were only about half in bloom. Because there had been an instruction beforehand to obtain a SUICA card, we waited in a long line at the JR East Travel Service Center at Tokyo Station, but then the guests said they did not need a SUICA after all, so we finished there. This resulted in a considerable waste of time.

Welcome to Japan. I hope you are going to enjoy your stay.

    Who am I?
I am a Licensed Guide Interpreter at an age of 61.
I got an early retirement from 36 yrs of the employment in a Japanese financial sector.
I hope I can attend to you with the Japanese politeness, hospitality and smile.

    What can I be expected?
I would like to introduce the photogenic sites, the indigenous experiences
and good Japanese local food around Tokyo, Hakone/Mt Fuji.
I might be able to show you the features of shrine and temple with a religious manner if you’d like.
As a matter of fact, I don’t have a specific religion to believe, though.
I love Japan and that’s why I started a new career as a guide.

    What do I love?
Most of all, my family. I have a wife 56 yrs old, a son 28 yrs old and a daughter 25 yrs old.
I like eating raw fish and sushi, buckwheat noodles and curry rice.

How do I spend my spear time?
I run for 5 km in the morning listening to my favorite music.
I might have a chance to go to a studio program in the fitness club nearby once a week.

After viewing the cherry blossoms at Sumida Park in Asakusa, we made our way to Kappabashi Kitchen Street via the Asakusa Culture Tourist Information Center and Senso-ji Temple. As one of the guests was studying at a school with the aim of becoming a chef, they carefully examined kitchen knives and purchased several, including some for themselves. For the izakaya experience, we enjoyed the food at a well-known izakaya in Shimbashi, and we also had a lively conversation about New York in the 1980s and topics such as U.S. politics. My name is Kris,
Before becoming a tour guide, I worked for a major steelmaking company as an engineer for many years. During my career, I lived and worked in both Germany and the United States for a total of five years. These experiences helped me understand different cultures and ways of thinking, which now helps me connect easily with guests from around the world.

After retirement, I chose a second career as a tour guide because I truly enjoy meeting people from different countries and sharing Japanese culture, history, and daily life. I have been working as a guide for more than nine years and continue to enjoy every tour.

I currently live in Tokyo, but I was born and raised in Kobe, near Osaka, and my family roots are in Kyoto. As a result, I have extensive knowledge not only of Tokyo but also of Kyoto, Osaka, and many other parts of Japan. I enjoy introducing both famous landmarks and hidden local gems that many visitors might otherwise miss.

I am energetic, friendly, and very sociable. I always try to create tours that are relaxed, flexible, and tailored to my guests’ interests.

Travel is one of my greatest passions, especially visiting hot spring resorts. I have visited more than 80 onsen destinations throughout Japan, giving me a deep appreciation of Japanese culture and regional traditions.

Whether you are visiting Japan for the first time or returning for another adventure, I would be delighted to help you discover the real Japan from a local perspective.

I look forward to meeting you and helping you create wonderful memories in Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, and beyond.

    See you in Japan!

    Kris

What Is a Private One-Day Tokyo Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Meiji Shrine, Shinjuku Gyoen, and More The guests were a group of three visiting Japan for the first time from Europe. After sightseeing in Tokyo, they planned to visit Hakone, Takayama, Kyoto, Hiroshima, and Osaka. Since the guests had requested help exchanging their Japan Rail Pass and reserving Shinkansen tickets, we first took care of that at Ueno Station. At Meiji Shrine, they listened with great interest to explanations about the differences between shrines and temples, and they seemed impressed by the quiet and solemn atmosphere. At Yoyogi Park, they were delighted to see cherry blossoms in nearly full bloom. At the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building observatory, they appeared impressed by the magnificent view of Tokyo. At Shinjuku Gyoen, they were pleased to see the beautiful Japanese garden and the cherry blossoms. After I guided them around Omoide Yokocho in Shinjuku, they said they would do some shopping on their own and then return to their hotel, so we parted ways in Shinjuku. Since I accommodated the guests' wishes as requested, I believe they were satisfied.

I am Seizo Kamiuto, National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter (English). I was born in Kagoshima City in Kyushu (Southern part of Japan) and grew up there until the graduation from a high school. I came to Tokyo to enter a University in Tokyo and since then, I have lived in Tokyo for more than 40 years and therefore I know Tokyo and its suburbs and Kagoshima City very well. After retiring from an IT company, I have been working as a Guide Interpreter of English since March 2018. I have guided many overseas guests to the popular sightseeing spots in Tokyo, Kamakura, Mt. Fuji area (Kawaguchiko Lake etc.), Hakone, Nikko, Yokohama, Kawagoe and Kagoshima and so on. I have received good reviews from many guests. I can explain the history and the culture of Japan in detail. I look forward to an opportunity to guide you in Japan. Thank you. Seizo Kamiuto
