Incredible tour, one of the highlights of my trip!
Booking a private tour with Hideharu (Yoshi) Yoshino was easily one of the absolute highlights of my trip.

Yoshi-san customized the day perfectly to my interests, accommodating a last-minute hotel change and timing our morning perfectly so we could see the spectacular Gion Matsuri parade without the heavy crowds.

We explored Ginkaku-ji, Nanzen-ji, and the traditional streets of Gion at a wonderful, relaxed pace.

The tour was fascinating and packed with interesting details that allowed me to truly understand Kyoto’s rich history.

Highly recommended!

A Well-Organized and Informative Tour of Kanazawa
We, a family of 5, had a very enjoyable 6-hour private tour of Kanazawa with Hideharu Yoshino from Japan Guide Agency.
Communication before the tour was excellent and made it very easy to plan the day. Yoshi’s English was excellent, which made communication throughout the tour very smooth. He provided very clear and interesting explanations, giving us a better understanding of the history and culture of the places we visited.
During the tour we explored Kanazawa Castle, Kenrokuen Garden, and the Geisha and Samurai districts.
It was a well-organized and informative tour. Highly recommended.

Number one guide for personalised touring of Kanazawa
Our tea and culture day in Kanazawa with our guide Hideharu Yoshino was amazing! Yoshi is very fluent in English and a great companion to walk around with as he knows so much about the history and culture of Kanazawa and Japan. He also knew the best place to grab lunch and helped us pick what was good local fish, curry or tea to try. Plus he made sure we felt comfortable and never out of place wherever we went. I would recommend him for anyone who likes to know more about what they are seeing or what they can do in the area. Yoshi is great!

Naomi was our guide and did a fantastic job. He met us at our hotel and suggested several places to visit. He navigated us to each spot, providing history and information about each location. Our time spent with him was enjoyable and I would recommend this tour to anyone!

Choose Naoki – you will have a great day!!
Naoki is an excellent guide. His communication with us before our trip was outstanding. I sent him a very long list of things we were interested in, and he carefully helped us understand what was in each area and what we could realistically accomplish in a day.

Naoki even navigated a couple of bus rides for us—which turned out to be a lot of fun! He is highly knowledgeable while still making everything engaging, which made him perfect for first-time visitors to Japan.

We had a lovely day and were able to see many of the things we were most interested in, thanks to Naoki’s thoughtful guidance. He clearly put a great deal of effort into planning our day.

We highly recommend Naoki if you are looking for an easygoing guide who puts genuine care into tailoring your experience to your interests.

Osaka Customized Half-Day Tour with Licensed Local Guide
We spent half a day with Sachiko Ogura seeing the Osaka castle, the garden on 16th floor, Sumiyoshi Taisha shrine and Dotonbori. Sachiko was on time (in fact, early:-) and well prepared (we have communicated in advance) and gave us an excellent tour.
She can be highly recommended!

Sachi was a great guide. She customized our tour for us and even made a last minute adjustment due to the rain and switched us to an indoor activity to visit the Japanese museum of living which was gave us a very nice insight on how the Japanese lived way back when. She’s very knowledgeable and was able to answer any questions we had. She also went out of her way to make sure our kids also enjoyed the tour. What really impressed me was that she never sat down or rested during the whole tour. Even on the train, she didn’t sit down!

Incredible experience at the Markets!
Toru was an AMAZING host and tour guide. He went above and beyond with communication prior, during, and after to make sure my Son and I had an incredible experience. He was unbelievably knowledgeable and catered the tour to what we wanted as well. The sushi breakfast was unreal! Learning all about both Toyosu and Tsukiji markets was an experience we will never forget. 10 out of 10 for sure!!

This was our first time visiting a fish market, and from the time we booked the experience, Toru-san has been amazing. He helped us get to Toyosu market, where the tuna auction takes place, at the right time to get the best views and explained everything about how the auction works and made sure we didn’t miss anything. (You will need a knowledgeable tour guide because everything happens so fast and you might miss it!) We learned so much during such a short time about how the delicious tuna you eat at a sushi restaurant ends up in front of you. After the auction Toru-san took us to Okame, a great sushi restaurant, where we got to experience delicious sushi breakfast. Our next stop was Tsukiji market, and again we got to try all sorts of food and learn more about the market and got to meet some of the vendors. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. If you are interested in cooking, Japanese cuisine, or know someone home, this tour will give you the opportunity to do some shopping for unique souvenirs.

We had to get to Toyosu market before 5 am, and while you might think it’s too early, but why not do something fun and delicious with your jetlag? It was so worth it and I’m glad we chose to spend our first morning in Tokyo with Toru-san. The other advantage of being so early was that the market was not as crowded and we got to enjoy our time without having to wait in line.

Mont Haguro – Tsuruoka tour
The tour of Mount Haguro was incredible. It’s a place where you can truly connect with the energy of nature, as a sacred place. It has beautiful and well-preserved landscapes and shrines.

Romi was an excellent guide the entire tour. She made sure everything she explained was clear and was always willing to answer questions. She was very kind and friendly.

She also speaks perfect English, which makes everything much easier for those of us who don’t know Japanese. She knows a lot about the history of Tsuruoka, and I learned so much from her about this beautiful place.

I highly recommend this tour and Romi as your guide!

Henry is a wonderful guide
We had a fantastic half-day tour of the Ise shrines with Henry. He was very nice and knew everything about the sites. He pointed out different things that we would not have found or known about without him. He also found us an excellent place for lunch and another place for a shaved ice snack. He was patient with our kids and made sure the trip matched their moods and capabilities. He even saw us off on the train and called our hotel to check about shuttle service after. He also helped with baggage forwarding. I would certainly recommend Henry for anyone interested in touring the area. Thank you Henry!

Unforgettable day at Ise Jingu with Henry
We were so thrilled to have spent the day in Ise Jingu with Henry-san. From Geku all the way through Naiku, Henry’s knowledge of the history and cultural significance was genuinely impressive, and his observations and commentary elevated the experience far beyond any guidebook or self-guided visit. We really appreciated Henry’s deep understanding of the sites, both from a traditional and modern perspective. He made everything fun and easygoing.

Henry also kindly brought us to a great lunch spot nearby, which was no small thing during Golden Week when everything was packed. He handled it all with ease.

Thank you Henry-san, this was a highlight of our entire trip. Highly recommend!

We definitely had a beautiful, insightful and memorable day in Kagoshima. Kaz, our private guide, had excellent English and shared so much insight to the area from the volcano to Sochu!

We highly recommend this day tour. Our big bonus was the eruption that morning which made us appreciate the active personality of Sakurajima!

Pleasant Intro to Tokyo
Nobu was an experienced and informative guide. It was a great introduction to Tokyo – a busy and vastly interesting city. We learned about Japanese history and toured some of the major sites including the Imperial gardens, a Buddhist temple, a Shinto shrine, and the bustling Shibuya Crossing. Nobu helped us get familiar with the subway system and explained some of Japanese cuisine. We greatly enjoyed our tour and recommend it to others!
