Title: What Is a Private Walking Tour of Fukuoka Like? A Licensed Guide's Report Body: Because the group's representative had changed the day before, the tour details had not been shared with the other guests. Several of the guests expressed dissatisfaction that a private car was not provided, but once we arrived at Ohori Park, they were delighted by the carp and the scenery. Some of the guests complained that lunch was not included in the tour. I showed them the written tour documents, and they understood. After lunch, some of the guests said they did not want to walk and wanted to return to the ship by taxi, but we reached a compromise with the rest of the group by reducing the number of stops and heading back earlier. At Kushida Shrine, the guests were amazed by the decorative Yamakasa float, asked many enthusiastic questions, and took many photos. When we entered Kawabata Shopping Arcade, everyone, including those who had not wanted to walk, cheerfully went from shop to shop and did some shopping. In the end, we went past the scheduled time, and the guests returned to the ship by bus in high spirits.

What Is a Private Kyoto Tour of Nijo Castle and Sento Imperial Palace Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting from North America. They wished to visit the Honmaru Palace at Nijo Castle and the Sento Imperial Palace, both of which they had reserved themselves. After confirming their reservation times, I made matching reservations and accompanied them for the visits. At the Honmaru Palace they especially enjoyed the beauty of the architecture, and at the Sento Imperial Palace they particularly appreciated the beauty of the garden. They viewed the highlights with great interest, and I guided them in a calm and relaxed atmosphere throughout. After lunch near Marutamachi Station, I had to hurry them along to make it in time for the Sento Imperial Palace reservation, but the guests remained in good spirits.

Title: What Is a Private Kobe Cruise Port Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group from North America. Since one of the guests had difficulty walking, we moved at a relaxed pace throughout the day. The first planned spot was to visit Nunobiki Falls on foot, but before starting, the guide suggested, "The falls can also be seen from the ropeway, and reaching them on foot requires steep stairs and a bit of a mountain path, so it may not be advisable." As a result, we decided to skip it. Instead, we toured the Kitano Ijinkan district of former foreign residences. It was a little difficult to fully grasp the guests' interests, but some of the guests seemed to love flowers and were very delighted at the herb garden, taking many photographs. They were also pleased to be able to spot the cruise ship they had arrived on, both from the ropeway and from the mountaintop observation deck. At the Motomachi shopping street near the Nankinmachi Chinatown, they sampled some complimentary coffee. After touring Nankinmachi, I showed them where to catch the shuttle bus to the cruise ship terminal, and then we parted ways.

    Dear my guests,

This is (Mr.) Yama, greeting from Kobe, Japan.
I would like to warmly welcome you to Japan this time. I am from the city of Kobe, which is of course, well-known for very tasty Kobe Beef . You can taste
real genuine Kobe Beef here. Kobe is also called “Home of Japanese Sake” with lots of Sake breweries, and I recommend you would visit those breweries
if you have any interest in Japanese Sake as well as one aspect of Japanese cultures. Of course, you can have tastings of various kinds of Sake there.

Whenever during the tour, I always try to make it safe, pleasant and comfortable for all of the guests, which is my first priority. I am very much confident
that you can have a pleasant and unforgettable experience in Japan. Just tell me about your preference; what you would like to like to see, have, know
and eat and so on. Particularly, I hold the license for cooking qualified by the government here and maybe, I can reply you for questions related to the
foods here. In this respect, I strongly recommend you would try not only famous Japanese cuisine such as Sushi, Tempura or Suki-yaki but some
Japanese traditional local foods, like Tako-yaki, Okonomi-yaki and Kushkatsu. They are sometimes called the soul foods of Japan. Here is the brief
    explanation for these three foods.

    1) Tako-yaki
Tako-yaki is a snack filled with pieces of octopus in a batter of flour , egg and soup stock. You can call them octopus dumplings or balls. “Tako” means
octopus and “yaki” means grilled or broiled.
    2) Okonomi-yaki
This word Okonomi-yaki means “cook just as you like” and you can use whatever you like as toppings, such as beef, pork, shrimp, squid and octopus.
Okonomi-yaki is round shape and just like pancakes or pizza in shape mainly made from egg, flour and water.
    3) Kushi-katsu
Kushi-katsu is skewered cutlet or deep-fried foods on a stick. “Kushi” means skewer and “katsu” means cutlet. Various kinds of foods are used for
ingredients such as beef, pork, chicken, shrimp, squid, octopus and lots of kinds of vegetables.

Actually, the western Japan including Osaka, Kobe and Himeji is called as “Home of such local soul foods”. You should give it a try and I am sure
that you like them very much.

I sincerely hope that I can be your tour guide this time in Kobe, Osaka and Himeji. If my guests said to me after the tour, “I have had a very good
and pleasant time with you today. I hope I can come here again and name you as our guide”, which is my great pleasure. Moreover, I would be
great honored if they say “I like Japan now thanks to you”.

Looking forward to meeting you soon here.
    Doomo Arigato Gozaimasu!

  • Nakasendo Magome to Tsumago Day Hike

Nakasendo Magome to Tsumago Day Hike

    Tour Itinerary

    • 9:15 Meet at the Magome parking lot. The customers arrived by rental car. They parked the car at the parking lot and started walking.
    • The weather was cloudy and not too hot, so they walked comfortably.
    • 12:00 Lunch at "Otokichi" in Tsumago. Despite being a holiday, it was not crowded and we could eat right away.
    • After lunch, we strolled around Tsumago-juku. I suggested visiting the museum and other places, but since they wanted to return as soon as possible, we took a taxi from Tsumago to the Magome parking lot.
    • 13:30 Coffee break at Hill Billy in Magome.
    • 13:40 Parted ways at the Magome parking lot. The customers headed to their lodging in Kiso-Fukushima.

What Is a Private Walking Tour of the Nakasendo Trail from Magome to Tsumago Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from the Middle East, traveling by rental car from the Kanto region through the Kisoji route to Kyoto. The guests walked at a very quick pace and progressed smoothly. Along the way, they took many photographs. Since the plan was to return from Tsumago to Magome by taxi, we were able to walk without worrying about time, but because the guests walked quickly, we arrived at Tsumago earlier than scheduled. It would have been possible to take the return bus, but the guests wished to return early and preferred a taxi. In Tsumago, the guests purchased souvenirs and other items at two shops, making it a tour that proceeded smoothly.

Gifu Prefecture, where I was born and raised, is located in the heart of Japan. It is home to many mountains exceeding 3,000 meters, and the historic Nakasendo (Samurai Road) runs through this dramatic landscape. Once a vital artery for travelers during the Edo period, the route still preserves the traditional atmosphere of that era, with many historical houses standing much as they did centuries ago. Walking along this path allows you to experience Japan’s original rural landscape—a distinct and refreshing contrast to the bustling former capitals of Kyoto and Nara.

I also spent many years working in Nagoya, so I can guide you through the city with confidence. Nagoya is a treasure trove of historical landmarks, such as Nagoya Castle and Atsuta Shrine. Furthermore, the city is famous for “Nagoya-meshi,” a variety of delicious local specialties unique to the region.

It is my great pleasure to introduce visitors to the depth of Japanese cuisine, history, and culture. Welcoming guests from all over the world is always a joy for me, and I truly look forward to guiding you and creating wonderful memories together.

What Can You See on a Private Walking Tour of Kobe from the Cruise Terminal? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were cruise ship passengers visiting from North America. They were both very friendly and asked many questions throughout the tour, which made for lively conversation. As requested, I guided them to four locations, and since the distances between each place were short, we were able to walk slowly and enjoy each stop. Although Nunobiki Falls is only 15 minutes from the station, the path is a mountain trail with many steps, so I guided them carefully with safety in mind. Thanks to the heavy rain a few days earlier, the water volume was abundant, and they were delighted by the powerful sight of the falls, so I took them a little further to the observation deck. At Ikuta Shrine, they visited Owatatsumi Shrine for safe voyages and the Inari Shrine for business prosperity, and they also drew omikuji fortunes. They were able to see a first-visit blessing ceremony as well. At Sorakuen Garden, it happened to be a special opening period for the former Hassam Residence, so they were able to enter the interior of the building. They also enjoyed the sago palm garden and the Japanese garden. At the rest area, they had kashiwamochi. It was apparently their first time trying Japanese sweets, but they seemed to enjoy them. I had intended to accompany them to the port terminal before parting ways, but once we reached Nankinmachi, they said they could look around on their own and return by the free shuttle bus, so we parted there. (They seemed to have returned to the ship early.)

What's a Private Walking Tour of Tokyo Like When a Train Line Is Suspended? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting Tokyo. Although there had been little communication beforehand, we were able to meet up smoothly. We set off after they downloaded the Mobile Suica app. The biggest event of the day was the suspension of the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line. Due to a smoke-related incident caused by cable damage, the line could not be used until after 7:00 p.m., so during the tour we used alternative lines such as the Hanzomon Line as substitutes. When heading from Nezu to Asakusa, we ended up walking from Kuramae Station, but the guests enjoyed walking, which was a great help. The azaleas at Nezu Shrine were well received, but it was a little too late to see the cherry blossoms at Sumida Park. When we arrived at Sumida Park, we still had plenty of time, but the guests said they wanted to visit Tokyo Skytree that day since the weather looked likely to turn the next day. We changed the plan, and at the end we walked to Tokyo Skytree, where we parted ways.

Hi. My name is Masafumi Miyazaki. Please call me “Sam”. I am a government-licensed guide.
I was born in Tokyo and was raised in the suburbs of Tokyo called Tama area. When I was in university, I majored in western dramas, so I am good at playing like an actor.
I like reading, listening to the music, and walking. I belong to several walking clubs, and sometimes I guide the members around Tokyo.
One of my strengths as a guide is that I know well about kombu, Japanese kelps. In December every year, I work at a traditional kombu shop in Tsukiji Fish Market. At that shop, I learned a lot of things related to kombu or other ingredients for washoku. I can explain the different characteristics of them to you.

Since their accommodation was a hotel in Shinjuku, which was far from the sites we planned to visit, I suggested meeting at Tsukiji. The guests' taxi arrived a little late, but since they had contacted me in advance, we were able to meet up without any trouble. I took care to avoid any strenuous movement during the tour. They had requested that the tour focus mainly on Japanese history, as they were interested in it, and I remember that many questions came from some of the guests in particular. The tour with [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) began at Meiji Jingu Shrine, which can be entered even in the early morning. At the East Gardens, the guests all began taking photos at once, and my explanations ran longer than usual, so we ended up staying for nearly two hours. By the time the tour of Sensoji Temple was finished, six hours had already passed. Having heard that the guests were fans of Saizeriya, I finally took them to the Don Quijote building in Asakusa that houses a Saizeriya restaurant before we parted ways.

What's a Full-Day Private Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on the East Gardens, Asakusa, and Nezu [Japan Guide Agency](https://www.j-g-a.org/) guide led a full-day private tour of Tokyo for a group visiting Japan. Some of the guests were staying at a hotel, while others were staying at a hotel closer to Disneyland. The guests seemed to enjoy historical places, so I selected three locations to visit: the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace, Asakusa, and Nezu. At the East Gardens, they showed particular interest in the seasonal plants, so we spent a longer time there. At a tempura restaurant in Asakusa, everyone ordered a set of vegetable tempura. After visiting Nezu Shrine, I had thought about showing them a little of the Yanaka area if there was time, but the guests expressed a wish to purchase Shinkansen tickets at Tokyo Station for a tour on a later day. So at the end, I took them to Tokyo Station and helped them purchase the tickets before we parted ways.

Also, I am familiar with Japanese flowers and plants. If you stroll around a Japanese garden with me, I am sure you will be able to enjoy beautiful flowers and unique plants in every season.
I look forward to meeting you. Thank you.

A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visiting Japan for the third time from Europe. They were deeply moved by the scenery of Matsushima, saying they had never seen such a wonderful and unique landscape, and they were impressed by its history and views as a sacred site. Since explaining Matsushima in detail makes a four-hour tour from Sendai quite tight, it would be greatly appreciated if a five-hour tour could be arranged. The guests planned to stay on in Matsushima after the tour, so I guided them to places where they could enjoy food while walking around, helped them book a cruise, and parted ways at Entsuin Temple. As the guests were from Europe, I explained about the Keicho Embassy, and they were very interested.
