Title: What Is a Private Hiroshima and Miyajima Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests had been traveling around Japan and other parts of Asia for more than half a month, and they had chosen Hiroshima as their final destination. Although the weather forecast predicted quite heavy rain during the day, we were fortunate to avoid any serious downpour. On Miyajima, the guests seemed to particularly enjoy Daisho-in Temple. The latter half of the tour was spent at the museum and Peace Memorial Park, where each of the guests took their time to look carefully at the exhibits and listened attentively to my explanations, which I greatly appreciated. After helping them book their Shinkansen tickets for the following day, I took them to their Hotel.

Hi, I’m Kahori, a nationally licensed tour guide, and delighted to show people around this area. For the past almost 10 years, I have mainly guided foreign medical professionals around Hiroshima City and Miyajima, gaining a deep understanding of the effects of radiation and the support for A-bomb survivors.
Hiroshima is a city of rivers and the sea. Along the rivers Cherry trees line, and the calm Seto Inland Sea, dotted with islands, creates a stunning landscape. Also, the sea has many islands called “art islands” which have fantastic arts relating to the art festival “Setouchi Triennale”. In addition to our two World Heritage Sites, this area is rich in attractive resources. I hope many of you will come and experience this fascinating land. Personally, I am very passionate about modern art and enjoy sports like stand-up paddle boarding (SUP) on our rivers.
I look forward to meeting you, interacting with you, and also, learning from you!

The guests were a group visiting Japan, and during the tour I was able to hear some wonderfully global stories. One of the guests exercises regularly at a gym and walked energetically. We took our time along the way, stopping at a cafe for a break and browsing a few shops. One of the guests had wished to travel to Japan and showed keen interest in everything. To save time, we took the World Heritage sea route on the way there, and on the way back we relaxed on the tram so that the tour could end wherever was convenient.

What Is a Private Nara Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were from a group visiting Japan. Both were rather calm in personality (or perhaps they were simply tired after more than a week in Japan), so my usual upbeat, energetic style did not quite come into play, but they still seemed to enjoy the tour more than enough. Within the limited time, I was able to explain the history of Nara and Japan, as well as the history of Shinto and Buddhism, from ancient times to the present day, answering their questions and being careful not to be overly long-winded. We also enjoyed together some sake tasting in Naramachi and picking out souvenirs. Several times they told me, "We have traveled all over the world and had many guides, but You are the best!" I am grateful to the guests, and grateful to all the staff at [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) as well!

Hello! Thank you for choosing Nara! I bet you’ll love Nara. I specialize in Nara because Nara is the unique place where in one day you can cover the history and religions of Japan from the ancient times to the post war era while enjoying rambling in the UNESCO World Heritage park, having communication with lovely deer, surrounded with the beautiful nature.
I grew up in Nara, went university in Kyoto, enjoyed teaching at high schools and a university in Osaka. The three former capitals of Japan are home to me.
After retiring from teaching I began guiding so that I can meet various people from various corners of the world with a variety of cultures and backgrounds. Each time I guide, I find it hugely rewarding because I learn a lot from my guests sharing the history, culture and all that I know about Nara, Kyoto and Osaka.
I used to be a marathon runner, mountain climber and skier though I am not much of them anymore.
What I especially recommend is to stay in Nara a couple of days and enjoy communicating with friendly deer while visiting UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Nara in early morning, temples and shrines at night are well worth experiencing.

Title: What's a Private Day Tour of Nara Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guest was a visitor from North America who had been studying at a university in Asia and was traveling in Japan before returning home. They had arrived in Japan only the day before. The guest mentioned that a family member had worked as an English teaching assistant in Fukuoka more than twenty years earlier. Although rain was a concern as it was just after the start of the rainy season, fortunately it did not rain during the tour. The guest took many photos of each location with a high-quality camera. Since relatively few guests visit Yakushiji Temple, it had been a while since I had been there myself. I was once again impressed by the appeal of Yakushiji and by how the wishes of Kouin Takada are still cherished there. Unfortunately, the hall dedicated to Xuanzang Sanzang was closed, so we were unable to see the interior, which was a shame. The photo was taken while the guest was feeding the deer in Nara Park. I was born and grew up in Kyoto and now live near Fushimi Inari Shrine in Kyoto. I used to be a schoolteacher of English and welcome a lot of students from foreign countries. I really enjoyed showing them around Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, Himeji, and Hiroshima. I have been a professional tour guide for about 8 years. I always try to let my guests learn Japanese traditional and modern culture. Since I was born in Kyoto, I know a lot about its culture and people. I myself enjoyed several sports, such as soccer, judo, and marathon when I was young. I’m much interested in baseball and sumo. My motto as a tour guide is to let my guests learn about our tradition and culture precisely and really enjoy themselves. I strongly hope you will enjoy the tour in Japan with me.

What Is a Private One-Day Nagoya Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report When meeting the guests, I explained the details of the day's itinerary and confirmed whether there were any special requests regarding the plan. Since the guests expressed a wish to visit souvenir shops, I made a point of arranging the tour so they could shop at the souvenir stores at Nagoya Castle and the Oasis 21 shopping area. Because the tour started early in the morning, the number of tourists at each site was lower than usual, allowing us to cover the planned itinerary comfortably. We were able to enter the Honmaru Palace, have lunch near Nagoya Castle, and enjoy a sweets break at Atsuta Shrine without any waiting time, and everything proceeded exactly on schedule until we returned to the guests' hotel and parted ways, which the guests were very pleased with.

What Is a Private Tokyo Tour of Asakusa and Akihabara Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting from North America. The tour appeared to have been booked through a travel agency, and I conducted the pre-tour arrangements with the agency's representative. There was a request to eat ramen in Akihabara, and since the group was very interested in anime and manga, the tour ended up including a long stay in Akihabara. The original meeting point was a hotel, but it was corrected to another hotel, where we met. We first visited Sensoji Temple, then went to JR Ueno Station because the group wanted to have their JR Pass issued and reserve seats. After that, we had a ramen lunch in Akihabara and visited several shops. The group enjoyed shopping for anime-related character goods. Finally, at the Tsukuba Express Akihabara Station, I explained how to get back to the hotel, and we parted ways.

Title: What's a Private One-Day Osaka Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Osaka Castle, Shitennoji, and Dotonbori I guided a group of guests from Asia. I met them at their hotel on time, explained the day's itinerary, and started with a tour of Osaka Castle. We entered through the Otemon Gate and moved toward the main keep while I explained the stone walls and the Sengoku-era history in front of the Hokoku Shrine dedicated to Hideyoshi. We took a commemorative photo in front of the garden, and I spent a good amount of time guiding them through the museum in the main keep. Once again, this place was overflowing with international visitors. The elevator was out of order, so making our way up to the observation deck by stairs was quite an effort. From Osaka Castle we took the subway to Shitennoji, where I guided the guests through this temple that shows the syncretism of Buddhism and Shinto. Since the guests came from a region that is the birthplace of Buddhism, there was no need to explain the teachings of the Buddha, so I focused instead on explaining Japanese Buddhism. From Shitennoji we moved to Dotonbori in Namba, where we had ramen for lunch, and from there we headed to the Kuromon Market while taking in the shopping arcade along Sennichimae Street. After a brief tour of the market, we parted ways at the guests' request on the way back to Dotonbori. The guests said that they wanted to enjoy some drinks that evening, so they planned to stroll slowly around the Dotonbori area and find a bar on their own.

After a rather long teaching experience at Japanese college, I converted my career about 6 years ago into working as a tour guide for the tourists visiting Japan.
As my career overseas, I’ve been in the UN and the Japanese Embassy, all in the USA, totaling more than 6 years.
And then I had made a big change in my career from a diplomat to an academic researcher. For that career to achieve, I studied abroad and won a doctorate degree in linguistics from Indiana University and landed a teaching position at college in Japan.
With all these interesting and exciting experiences I’ve made myself ready to enrich your tour and make it both enjoyable and worthwhile.

At the guests' request, we visited a samurai and ninja experience museum. Because we arrived early, we were able to make a reservation right away, which was fortunate. One of the guests purchased some medicine at a drugstore. Another of the guests was very interested in Japanese kitchen knives. The rest of the group enjoyed choosing whatever they wanted to eat at Nishiki Market. They said the main purpose of this trip was to enjoy Japanese food. What Can You See on a Private One-Day Tour of Tokyo's Main Sights? A Licensed Guide's Report The guest arrived in Japan a day early ahead of a conference starting the next day and wished to visit the main sights in the city, so I guided them to four classic spots. It was raining quite heavily when I left home, but fortunately the weather turned to intermittent rain, and we were able to cover the planned course without any major problems. The guest had almost no prior knowledge of Japan, so I explained basic topics in an easy-to-understand way, and they listened attentively and commented that they had learned a great deal. For lunch, the guest wanted something Japanese but did not have anything specific in mind, so I took them to a restaurant with a wide range of options. The tour ended by seeing the guest off at the hotel, but since they were going to travel to Chiba afterward, I guided them to the ticket gates at Tokyo Station and said goodbye. There seemed to be various surprises during the tour as well, and at the end the guest commented that they had come to like Japan very much and would definitely love to visit again.

Hi, I am Nobu, a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter (English).
I have been an English guide in Tokyo area since January 2017.
Tokyo is a wonderful city, and you may enjoy this city by yourselves.
Even so, I recommend you go around with a guide, especially if it is your first time visit to Tokyo.
A good guide will help you to understand about Tokyo and Japan as well as how to use convenient but complicated public transportations more effectively.
I am glad if I can help you to make your tour more enjoyable.
I am looking forward to meeting you in Tokyo soon!

What Is a Private Kyoto and Osaka Day Tour Like for Cruise Guests? A Licensed Guide's Report 1. The guests were a group visiting Japan. Although the weather forecast called for heavy rain, fortunately it had stopped in the morning, so we traveled to Kyoto as planned and visited Nijo Castle. 2. After visiting Nijo Castle, we had planned to go to Arashiyama, but the rain became heavier and some of the guests' sneakers got soaked. At the guests' suggestion to return to the cruise ship, we headed back to Osaka. 3. When we arrived at Osaka Station the rain had stopped, so after consulting with the guests, I guided them around Dotonbori. The guests spotted a "2025" sign, and when I explained that the second Expo in Osaka would be held next year, they said they would love to visit Japan again next year during the cherry blossom season.
