Title: What Is a Private Kyoto Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Kinkaku-ji, Ryoan-ji, and Kiyomizu-dera The guests were a group visiting from South America. Throughout the tour, one of the guests was frequently on a messaging app and tended to walk ahead quickly, so it was a challenge to catch up at each point to give explanations. They did not wish to take photos, did not look at souvenirs, and did not want to shop. Since our first stop at Kinkaku-ji finished very quickly, I added Ryoan-ji to the itinerary. Upon arriving at Ryoan-ji, one of the guests said that taking off shoes would be too much of a burden, but since visiting Ryoan-ji without removing shoes is not really possible, I asked them to please take off their shoes just for this one place. As they said they were not hungry, we skipped lunch and headed to Kiyomizu-dera, but upon seeing the large crowds, they said they did not want to go inside. I explained that although it looks crowded outside, it is not as bad once you are inside, and encouraged them to buy tickets and enter. They did not enter the pottery shops along the approach either. When I suggested guiding them from Sannen-zaka past the Yasaka Pagoda to Gion, one of the guests said they were already tired and wished to end here, so I guided them to the taxi stand at Kiyomizu-dera and the tour concluded. It felt like a somewhat unsatisfying tour.

I’m Ryoichi Kazuma and my nickname is “Kazz”. I live in Kyotanabe city next to Kyoto city. I want guests to enjoy Kyoto by seeing and experiencing not only from outside but also from inside. I offer various information from daily matters to traditional cultures. Most destinations in Kyoto are located on the eastern side or the western side. As I want to guide guests to as many destinations as possible, I make an efficient itinerary and recommend a taxi use to save time. Additionally, I take pictures at various spots and finally share the link to my storage. By doing so, guests can download their favorite pictures from my storage. Please enjoy Kyoto night and day!

Title: What Is a Private Sapporo Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The entire itinerary was left up to me. The only request was for a restaurant where the guests could have a ramen dish without meat, since they could not eat meat. I researched in advance and found a restaurant in the Tanukikoji area that could provide it even though it was not on the menu, and I guided them there after 13:00 to avoid the busy hours. The guests were visitors from North America, and since they had just arrived in Sapporo as their first destination in Japan the day before, some of the guests seemed tired toward the end due to jet lag.

What Is a Rainy-Season Private Kyoto Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report It was the middle of the rainy season, and a light rain fell steadily throughout the day. The guests were a group visiting from North America. They had arrived in Osaka the previous day, and with the jet lag and the high humidity, some of the group appeared tired in the latter part of the day. The "matcha tea experience at Nawami" on Ninenzaka went smoothly, as the guests had booked and paid for it in advance, and they told me they had enjoyed it very much. The bus to Kinkaku-ji was delayed by traffic, and the gate was nearly closed by the time we arrived, but we managed to get in just in time — though it did feel like I had to rush them a little. I had thought of visiting Nishiki Market at the end, but at the suggestion of one of the guests, we decided to skip it and head back to the hotel instead.

What Is a Private Tokyo Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Harajuku, Shibuya, and Asakusa Although an email from the travel agency had arrived, there had been no reply from the guests themselves, so I was a little worried, but we were able to meet at the Hotel without any trouble. Going forward, I have other guests who have also designated this Hotel as the meeting point, and since the lobby is quite large, I felt it would be necessary to decide on and communicate a clear landmark in advance. The guests did not have any particular preferences for specific spots, so I mainly guided them around places such as Takeshita Street and the Shibuya Scramble Crossing. Since there was a request for a coffee break along the way, we took a rest at a café after the explanation in Asakusa. On this day I happened to have two umbrellas with me, so I was able to put them to good use.

Hi. My name is Masafumi Miyazaki. Please call me “Sam”. I am a government-licensed guide.
I was born in Tokyo and was raised in the suburbs of Tokyo called Tama area. When I was in university, I majored in western dramas, so I am good at playing like an actor.
I like reading, listening to the music, and walking. I belong to several walking clubs, and sometimes I guide the members around Tokyo.
One of my strengths as a guide is that I know well about kombu, Japanese kelps. In December every year, I work at a traditional kombu shop in Tsukiji Fish Market. At that shop, I learned a lot of things related to kombu or other ingredients for washoku. I can explain the different characteristics of them to you.
Also, I am familiar with Japanese flowers and plants. If you stroll around a Japanese garden with me, I am sure you will be able to enjoy beautiful flowers and unique plants in every season.
I look forward to meeting you. Thank you.

Title: What Is a 6-Hour Private Himeji Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting Japan. The tour was originally planned as a 4-hour tour but was changed to a 6-hour tour. Some of the guests found walking a little difficult and tended to fall behind. While part of the group did not seem especially interested in the tour, the rest visited each spot with great interest. One of the guests brought a goshuincho (temple stamp book) and had it stamped at Engyoji Temple. At Kokoen Garden, one of the guests wrote a wish on a tanzaku strip related to the Tanabata festival. At Himeji Castle, the guests purchased various souvenirs at the shop. They also enjoyed the popular matcha soft-serve ice cream offered by a teahouse near Himeji Castle, and were very pleased with a taste unlike anything they had experienced before. Finally, at their request, I guided them to the outdoor goods store "Mont-bell" located in a shopping center near Himeji Station, after which we parted ways at Himeji Station.

    Dear my guests,

This is (Mr.) Yama, greeting from Kobe, Japan.
I would like to warmly welcome you to Japan this time. I am from the city of Kobe, which is of course, well-known for very tasty Kobe Beef . You can taste
real genuine Kobe Beef here. Kobe is also called “Home of Japanese Sake” with lots of Sake breweries, and I recommend you would visit those breweries
if you have any interest in Japanese Sake as well as one aspect of Japanese cultures. Of course, you can have tastings of various kinds of Sake there.

Whenever during the tour, I always try to make it safe, pleasant and comfortable for all of the guests, which is my first priority. I am very much confident
that you can have a pleasant and unforgettable experience in Japan. Just tell me about your preference; what you would like to like to see, have, know
and eat and so on. Particularly, I hold the license for cooking qualified by the government here and maybe, I can reply you for questions related to the
foods here. In this respect, I strongly recommend you would try not only famous Japanese cuisine such as Sushi, Tempura or Suki-yaki but some
Japanese traditional local foods, like Tako-yaki, Okonomi-yaki and Kushkatsu. They are sometimes called the soul foods of Japan. Here is the brief
    explanation for these three foods.

    1) Tako-yaki
Tako-yaki is a snack filled with pieces of octopus in a batter of flour , egg and soup stock. You can call them octopus dumplings or balls. “Tako” means
octopus and “yaki” means grilled or broiled.
    2) Okonomi-yaki
This word Okonomi-yaki means “cook just as you like” and you can use whatever you like as toppings, such as beef, pork, shrimp, squid and octopus.
Okonomi-yaki is round shape and just like pancakes or pizza in shape mainly made from egg, flour and water.
    3) Kushi-katsu
Kushi-katsu is skewered cutlet or deep-fried foods on a stick. “Kushi” means skewer and “katsu” means cutlet. Various kinds of foods are used for
ingredients such as beef, pork, chicken, shrimp, squid, octopus and lots of kinds of vegetables.

Actually, the western Japan including Osaka, Kobe and Himeji is called as “Home of such local soul foods”. You should give it a try and I am sure
that you like them very much.

I sincerely hope that I can be your tour guide this time in Kobe, Osaka and Himeji. If my guests said to me after the tour, “I have had a very good
and pleasant time with you today. I hope I can come here again and name you as our guide”, which is my great pleasure. Moreover, I would be
great honored if they say “I like Japan now thanks to you”.

Looking forward to meeting you soon here.
    Doomo Arigato Gozaimasu!

Title: What Is a Private One-Day Tokyo Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Asakusa, Akihabara, and Meiji Shrine The guests were a group visiting Japan from North America, all visiting for the first time. They had arrived at Narita Airport the previous night and taken a taxi to their hotel. They would stay in Tokyo only briefly before traveling on to Kyoto and Osaka, then departing from Kansai Airport to Asia. They said, "We would like to go to places where we can feel Japanese culture. We would also like to try as many kinds of Japanese food as possible." It was a hot and humid day for the tour. We used the Toei subway and traveled first to Asakusa via Shinjuku Station. Asakusa was as crowded as ever. There were questions such as, "When was this temple built?" "Is it always this crowded?" and "Do all Japanese people believe in Buddhism?" There were also questions like, "What kind of teaching is Buddhism?" Some of the guests drew omikuji fortunes and were disappointed to both draw "bad luck." In Akihabara, I did my best to steer the guests away from the crane games and toward the electronics stores. They purchased large quantities of earphones, figures, and cosmetics. At Meiji Shrine, there were questions such as, "What is the difference between Buddhism and Shinto?" "What are the torii gates for?" "Why do Buddhism and Shinto coexist?" and "Do the priests live within these grounds?" There were also questions like, "Do Japanese people respect the Emperor and the Imperial family?" and "Why did the Meiji Restoration happen?" They made comments such as, "The city is clean and quiet." "No one speaks loudly on the trains. Everyone is well-mannered." "We don't see homeless people." and "It is far more advanced compared to what we have back home." They said they wanted to return to the hotel to rest, so I saw them off at Shinjuku Station and we parted ways.

    Self-introduction:
In the past, I was stationed in Canada, the United States, and Mexico as an expatriate of a Japanese bank for over 11 years.
Since I have been mainly involved in the financing business in the United States for a long time, I think I am able to provide interpretation and translation services related to business and finance.

In addition, for three years from April 2016, I will be engaged in Japanese-English translation work (part-time), and I can also handle translation work.

Since April 2015, I have been working as a Tokyo Metropolitan Tourism Volunteer and Tokyo Metropolitan Disaster Prevention Volunteer.
One more, I have a separate house near Asuka Village, Nara prefecture, and I stay there for a total of about 30 days every year and have been enjoying sightseeing personally in the vicinity. Therefore, I think in the Kansai region, especially in Nara, Asuka, Yoshino, Koyasan, Kumano Kodo, etc., where I think I will be able to tour guide with confidence.

Title: What Is a Private Himeji Castle Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting from Oceania. They had heard from an acquaintance that if there was only one place to visit in Japan, it should be Himeji Castle, and they had been looking forward to the Himeji Castle tour. Hearing this made me happy, but I also felt some pressure not to disappoint them. At the time we met, it was raining, and we walked along Miyuki-dori toward the castle. Along the way, they stopped with great curiosity at a coffee shop, a bag store, and two local shops, and just from that they already seemed very fond of Himeji. At Himeji Castle, I received many questions from the group about the history, the architecture, and the plants, and we spent two and a half hours at the castle. It was a shame we could not spend much time at Koko-en Garden, but even so, they were amazed by the carp in the ponds and the large lotus flowers, and they said that simply being surrounded by greenery made them happy. It seemed they thoroughly enjoyed Himeji.

Hello, I’m your tour guide, Rie Ito. Please call me Rie. I have been living in Himeji for 40 years. I would like to show you around our beautiful city. Himeji is very famous for its several sightseeing places. Especially, as the most recommended place, we boast Himeji Castle, the first World Heritage Site of Japan. What Is a Private Osaka Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting from North America. They had visited Asia and Hiroshima before coming to Osaka, and were planning to continue to Nara, Kyoto, Hakone, and Tokyo the following day. The rain was only light, which was fortunate, but it was a very hot and humid day. At Osaka Castle, there were no other tourists at the best photo spots, so the guests were able to take many pictures, and I believe they were very pleased. After that, we went to the Umeda Sky Building, but since they had to walk quite a long distance, I think they may have gotten rather tired. We had planned to visit Dotonbori as well, but we ended up parting ways at Umeda.

I always try to do my best to help my guests explore and enjoy our unique and attractive locations, and I’ve been lucky enough to receive so many 5-star reviews from the guests I hosted. I’d like to help make your visit to Japan one of the most wonderful memories in your life. I’m really looking forward to seeing you soon. Thank you very much.

Title: What's a Rainy-Day Private Tokyo Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Meiji Shrine, Shinjuku, and Tsukiji The guests were visiting from Oceania. Before the tour, I exchanged emails with one of the guests to build the plan together. Since they had purchased a 72-hour free subway pass in advance, I made a point of using the subway for getting around. I had planned to take them to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building in Shinjuku after Meiji Shrine, but because of the rain, we instead browsed the food floor of a department store and a lifestyle goods shop in Shinjuku, and strolled around the main streets of Shinjuku to explore. After that, we headed to Tsukiji Market. At Tsukiji, the guests happily shared and enjoyed shumai and grilled squid together. Afterward, they mentioned wanting to try a little sushi as well, so I took them to a conveyor-belt sushi restaurant, which they were very pleased with. After sampling various foods, choosing a few plates at a conveyor-belt sushi restaurant turns out to be just the right amount.

I’m YUMI. Japan is full of history, nature and culture. I would like to talk about them from many aspects. When you have some questions, don’t hesitate to ask me. There’re many off the beaten paths in Japan. If you want to walk in a hidden local area, I’ll tailor the special course as you wish.
Experiencing new foods is also one of many intriguing things during your trip. I would recommend anything from street foods such as Ramen, Yakitori to authentic Sushi or elegant courses. My policy is to cherish your feelings and time. Let’s enjoy talking and walking with me!

What Is a Private Kyoto Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Sannenzaka and Nishiki Market The guests were a relaxed group visiting from North America. They enjoyed browsing shops, so some of them would quickly wander off, which made it a tour where keeping to the planned schedule was difficult. I called the restaurant to shift the lunch time, explained the travel time from our current location to the restaurant, and encouraged the guests to feel a slight sense of urgency, and we managed to reach the final destination of Nishiki Market. Right after I explained the saying that if you fall on Sannenzaka you will die within three years, I was amazed to see three people fall one after another! The guests had an "oh my god" look on their faces. It was the first time I had ever seen someone fall there.

Hi! My name is YUKA. I’ve got the government license in 2018 and joined a half year traning to do the guide. But a half year later I started my carreer, Covid came. I should have given up guiding. During the Covid, I’ve read many books and made my own materials to explain Japanese culture, history, etc. I love guiding because the guests expand my horizon all the time and let me know their own country and culture, etc. It is really important for us all to know each other and respect each other to make this world peace. Thank you for coming to Japan! Let’s enjoy Japan together!
