Can You Take a Private Day Trip Around Tokyo Before Traveling to Hakone and Kyoto? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from Europe who had arrived in Japan the previous day. They planned to stay in Tokyo for a few days, then travel through Fujikawaguchiko and Hakone before visiting Kyoto, Osaka, and Hiroshima. In our email exchanges beforehand, they had requested the Imperial Palace, but I explained that the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace are closed on Fridays, and I recommended Meiji Shrine as an alternative. The guests showed great interest in the proper way to purify their hands at the water basin and in how to pray before the shrine, and they tried these practices themselves. Tokyo was experiencing extreme heat again, continuing from the previous day. Since the guests wished to buy a portable fan, I guided them to a variety store with a wide selection of products. They started using it right away after the purchase and seemed unable to put it down. Last summer, many guests also wished to buy portable fans, but every store was sold out. This year, there seems to be plenty of stock available.

What Is a Private One-Day Sapporo Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors currently living in Asia, and they were very friendly. At the Central Wholesale Market's outer market, they thoroughly enjoyed the king crab they had been looking forward to. They were also delighted to be able to find all the souvenirs they had been asked to bring back, including chocolates and T-shirts. They seemed very curious, and even wanted to visit Hokkaido Shrine, so they paid their respects there, and since they were in the area, they also wanted to try a little Genghis Khan (grilled lamb), so we went to a restaurant as well. They enjoyed their stay in Sapporo very much. The weather was lovely, and we were able to enjoy a beautiful view of the city of Sapporo from the TV Tower.

What Is a Private One-Day Kyoto Tour Like for Cruise Ship Passengers Arriving at Osaka Port? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from North America who arrived at Osaka Port by cruise ship. We had initially arranged to meet at 9:00, but after discussing the details, I learned about their cruise ship arrival. They asked if I could come to pick them up, but since that would have used up the tour time, I asked them to make their own way to Kyoto. I provided information on taking the special rapid train from Osaka to Kyoto, but in the end they came by Shinkansen. The meeting time at Kyoto Station changed several times, from 10:00 to 10:30 to 10:00 and finally to 10:30, which made things a bit hectic. Since it was an extremely hot day, I regularly encouraged the guests to stay hydrated. After Kiyomizu-dera, we went to a conveyor-belt sushi restaurant near Kinkaku-ji for lunch. It was not crowded, so we were able to get in easily. The guests relaxed and enjoyed a beer. After Kinkaku-ji, we visited the bamboo grove and Togetsukyo Bridge, and after the tour ended, the guests took a taxi to Fushimi Inari. Although the communication beforehand was challenging, I was glad that in the end the guests enjoyed the tour.

I’m Ryoichi Kazuma and my nickname is “Kazz”. I live in Kyotanabe city next to Kyoto city. I want guests to enjoy Kyoto by seeing and experiencing not only from outside but also from inside. I offer various information from daily matters to traditional cultures. Most destinations in Kyoto are located on the eastern side or the western side. As I want to guide guests to as many destinations as possible, I make an efficient itinerary and recommend a taxi use to save time. Additionally, I take pictures at various spots and finally share the link to my storage. By doing so, guests can download their favorite pictures from my storage. Please enjoy Kyoto night and day!

Title: What Can You See on a Private One-Day Tokyo Tour? A Licensed Guide's Report on Shibuya, Meiji Shrine, and Tsukiji The guests were a family from Europe, and it was their first visit to Japan except for one member of the group who had previously visited on a school trip. They mentioned that after sightseeing in Tokyo, they planned to visit Osaka and Kyoto the following week. In Shibuya, they were interested in seeing the scramble crossing and hearing the story of the loyal dog Hachiko. They mentioned that they planned to visit Shibuya Sky on their own on a separate day. At Meiji Shrine and the Imperial Palace, they were impressed by the vast and solemn grounds and listened with interest to explanations about the Meiji Restoration and Emperor Meiji. At Tsukiji, they enjoyed browsing the many shops in the outer market and had sushi for lunch. Since I accommodated the guests' wishes, I believe they were satisfied.

What Is a Full-Day Private Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visiting Japan for the first time and are based in Europe. They are experienced travelers, and their approach seems to be to first cover as many places as possible in a quick overview, and then return later to spend more time at the spots they liked best. Although they usually speak French, they had a strong desire to be guided around the many different sides of Tokyo by a Japanese guide familiar with the city, rather than a French-speaking guide, which is why they signed up for this tour. They enjoyed every place we visited, but I felt they were more deeply impressed by the spots that are not the usual standard destinations. For example, the rooftop terraces of the recently opened Omokado and Harakado just across from it. They were also impressed by taking the JR Sobu Line from Akihabara to Shinjuku to save time, and by how smooth the transfer was upon arrival. For lunch, we went to a Japanese restaurant in Tokyo Midtown in Roppongi, and they thoroughly enjoyed it.

【当日のツアールート】欄 Title: What Is a Private Osaka Walking Tour Like in Summer? A Licensed Guide's Report The guest was a visitor from the Middle East. Despite the midsummer-like weather, the guest was a strong walker and moved very smoothly throughout the tour. It was quite hot even for a guide confident in dealing with heat and walking, so we frequently took water breaks together along the way. Rather than being interested in going inside each spot, the guest was very keen on taking photographs. At Tsutenkaku in Shinsekai and at the National Museum of Art, which the guest had specifically requested, they were content with just taking photos from the outside without going in. Partly because we limited the visits to exterior views, the tour ended with more than an hour to spare. Although I felt there were some challenges with English communication, I was able to hear many interesting stories about the guest's home region, which was very rewarding for me as a guide.

    Dear my guests,

This is (Mr.) Yama, greeting from Kobe, Japan.
I would like to warmly welcome you to Japan this time. I am from the city of Kobe, which is of course, well-known for very tasty Kobe Beef . You can taste
real genuine Kobe Beef here. Kobe is also called “Home of Japanese Sake” with lots of Sake breweries, and I recommend you would visit those breweries
if you have any interest in Japanese Sake as well as one aspect of Japanese cultures. Of course, you can have tastings of various kinds of Sake there.

Whenever during the tour, I always try to make it safe, pleasant and comfortable for all of the guests, which is my first priority. I am very much confident
that you can have a pleasant and unforgettable experience in Japan. Just tell me about your preference; what you would like to like to see, have, know
and eat and so on. Particularly, I hold the license for cooking qualified by the government here and maybe, I can reply you for questions related to the
foods here. In this respect, I strongly recommend you would try not only famous Japanese cuisine such as Sushi, Tempura or Suki-yaki but some
Japanese traditional local foods, like Tako-yaki, Okonomi-yaki and Kushkatsu. They are sometimes called the soul foods of Japan. Here is the brief
    explanation for these three foods.

    1) Tako-yaki
Tako-yaki is a snack filled with pieces of octopus in a batter of flour , egg and soup stock. You can call them octopus dumplings or balls. “Tako” means
octopus and “yaki” means grilled or broiled.
    2) Okonomi-yaki
This word Okonomi-yaki means “cook just as you like” and you can use whatever you like as toppings, such as beef, pork, shrimp, squid and octopus.
Okonomi-yaki is round shape and just like pancakes or pizza in shape mainly made from egg, flour and water.
    3) Kushi-katsu
Kushi-katsu is skewered cutlet or deep-fried foods on a stick. “Kushi” means skewer and “katsu” means cutlet. Various kinds of foods are used for
ingredients such as beef, pork, chicken, shrimp, squid, octopus and lots of kinds of vegetables.

Actually, the western Japan including Osaka, Kobe and Himeji is called as “Home of such local soul foods”. You should give it a try and I am sure
that you like them very much.

I sincerely hope that I can be your tour guide this time in Kobe, Osaka and Himeji. If my guests said to me after the tour, “I have had a very good
and pleasant time with you today. I hope I can come here again and name you as our guide”, which is my great pleasure. Moreover, I would be
great honored if they say “I like Japan now thanks to you”.

Looking forward to meeting you soon here.
    Doomo Arigato Gozaimasu!

Title: What Is a Private Kyoto Sightseeing Tour Like in Summer? A Licensed Guide's Report The group was very enthusiastic, and I received several messages the day before the tour to coordinate the details. Because the guests came from a region not accustomed to heat and humidity, I planned an itinerary that focused on major sightseeing spots representing Kyoto while choosing places that were easy to reach and helped them avoid the worst of the heat. We stopped by a popular cafe they had requested, and I kept an eye on how everyone was feeling as we went along. The guests thoroughly enjoyed the scenery from the vehicle windows and had a wonderful time. At the souvenir shops, they were pleased to purchase some of their favorite items. Since the guests planned to explore the area near their hotel the following day, I shared some recommendations for places to visit.

Hello, I am a tour guide, Chiyuki. If I write my name in Japanese, it means one thousand happiness. Please call me Chiyuki. I am looking forward to seeing you.
I have been guiding many visitors from all parts of the world since I became a tour guide.
I hope Japan can attract many people with beautiful scenery, culture, historical buildings, food and so on. What are you interested in?
And I couldn’t be happier if I can help you to create memories of a wonderful trip.
I will make my best effort to satisfy my guests. See you soon. Thank you very much. Chiyuki

Title: Can You Do a Private Full-Day Kyoto Tour with a Licensed Guide? A Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting from North America. I had met them before 9:00, but the arrival of the chartered taxi was delayed, so we started around 9:10 (there had been a miscommunication from the agency about the meeting location). Throughout the tour, I made a conscious effort to take memorable family photos at scenic spots at each location. Since it was expected to be a hot day with high temperatures, and the itinerary was tight with many destinations, I explained the general overview of each site as much as possible inside the taxi to keep the time spent at each stop as short as possible. Some of the guests were very curious and asked many questions, sharing their thoughts openly, which made for a very lively tour. Since we reached the 15:00 dismissal time upon arriving at Nijo Castle, I released the chartered taxi there and continued guiding the guests through Nijo Castle. From Nijo Castle, we caught a taxi and returned together to the Hotel, where we parted ways.

Title: What Is a One-Day Private Kyoto Tour Like on a Hot Summer Day? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting from North America. One of them had been to Kyoto before, while the other was visiting for the first time. Because there were places that had left a strong impression during the earlier visit and were something the group wanted to share, we followed a classic Kyoto itinerary for the day. I suggested some other locations, but since they had only one day available, we proceeded according to their wishes. It was the hottest day of the year so far in Kyoto, so I made sure to include hydration and occasional breaks and stayed attentive to the risk of heatstroke and fatigue. However, the guests were both extremely energetic and showed no signs of being worn out, so we completed the tour as planned. There were many questions about Japanese history, culture, and social issues, and the group seemed to sense the deep charm of the city of Kyoto, saying they would love to visit again.

My name is Shoji and I’m a tour guide in Kyoto, an ancient capital of Japan for more than one thousand years until the mid 19th century.
I have been doing this work since 2019 covering not only Kyoto but also its surrounding areas like Nara , Osaka and Shiga.
I am very much interested in Japanese history, culture and traditional arts.
Kyoto and the Kansai region are rich with many heritage sites of historical and cultural features.
I am sure that I can provide the guests with good insight and help them appreciate the charms of our wonderful city.

Title: What's a Private One-Day Tokyo Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Tokyo Tower, Tsukiji, Akihabara, and Asakusa Under clear skies during the rainy season, or rather on an extremely hot day, we first enjoyed the views and plenty of photo opportunities at Tokyo Tower, then moved quickly to the Tsukiji Outer Market. After walking outdoors for a while and experiencing the tenderness of wagyu beef at a barbecue spot, we purchased bluefin tuna at the indoor fish market and enjoyed it on the upper floor. Next, since some of the guests were interested in anime, we headed to Akihabara, where they browsed anime books with great interest at a long-established bookstore chain and made some purchases. After helping with an exchange of a bullet train ticket at Akihabara, we shopped for figures efficiently at the Radio Kaikan building and walked in the shade as much as possible toward Suehirocho. In Asakusa, we enjoyed ice cream and rice crackers, and quite frequently sought out shade or went indoors. Overall, I feel we were able to move between the various spots quite efficiently in terms of time.

Born and raised in Tokyo a half-century ago, I have lived in Tokyo all my life except for one year in the UK to study for a master’s course. I am a Tokyo Native with viewpoints based on broader local knowledge than anyone else. I have specialised in Japanese history, culture, and architecture since I was an architect.
Also, I am a foodie emphasising Japanese traditional & healthy foods. I’ve been to many countries around the world, such as the US, Central America, Europe, and Asia. As such, I believe I can anticipate the needs of foreign tourists in Japan.

Despite my experience as a guide for just two years, we can make the best out of our tour by travelling from your hotel to spots time-efficiently with my local knowledge, while accommodating your unexpected requests during the tour.
My strong area includes Yanesen; Old Temples in a Quaint Village, Kamakura, Asakusa Sensoji, Meiji Shrine and Imperial Palace. All give you peace of mind.
