Title: What's a Private Shopping and Sightseeing Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from Oceania who had requested in advance to visit a BOOKOFF SUPER BAZAAR. I researched online and had planned to guide them to the BOOKOFF SUPER BAZAAR near Omori Station, but just before the tour I learned that there was a BINGO, operated by the same BOOKOFF, on the other side of the station. Since BINGO carries many brand-name items, I asked the guests which they would prefer, and they chose BINGO. In the store they looked intently at OMEGA and ROLEX watches, and then purchased two brand-name bags. They also enjoyed shopping in Ginza, where they purchased a Japanese painting at Kyukyodo and a fountain pen at Itoya. They also seemed to love plants, and during our stroll around the Imperial Palace they observed a variety of plants with great interest. They gave me a high rating as well, and overall I believe they were satisfied.

What Is a Private One-Day Hakone Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report After meeting the guests at a hotel in the Sounzan area, we headed to Owakudani by ropeway. Since it was early in the morning, we were able to board with almost no waiting, so we got off to a smooth start. The day had almost no clouds, making it perfect conditions for the tour. The guests were thrilled by the dynamic views of Mount Fuji and Owakudani, which suddenly came into sight from the gondola. It was a chance to experience the very best of Hakone. After that, we followed the classic course, including a cruise on Lake Ashi, the Tokaido cedar avenue, and Hakone Shrine. At the Hakone Open-Air Museum, we enjoyed a walking course through a valley-like area that most people do not venture into, making it a tour that fully captured the charm of Hakone.

What Is a Private Day Tour of Hakone Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting Japan for the first time from Europe and North America. This was a 10-day trip to Japan. After staying in Tokyo, they came to Hakone this morning. After one night here, they planned to visit Kyoto and Osaka before returning home from Kansai Airport. They said, "We want to relax in Hakone. Tokyo was busy and crowded, which was tiring." Although the weather was clear, clouds were covering the sky, so we were not able to see Mount Fuji. First, we walked from the hotel to Gora Station. Then we took the cable car and ropeway to Owakudani via Sounzan. I explained "the formation of Hakone" and "an overview and history of Owakudani." There were questions such as, "Is Owakudani an active volcano? Has it ever erupted?" and "Is Mount Fuji also an active volcano? When did it erupt?" We bought and tasted the "black eggs." "The smell of sulfur is amazing," they said. Then we took the ropeway to Togendai. After waiting a little, we boarded the "pirate ship." Inside, it was nearly full, including many tourists from overseas. There were questions such as, "How deep is Lake Ashi? What is the water temperature?" "Can you swim in it?" and "Can you fish there?" We went to Moto-Hakone and walked to Hakone Shrine. I explained "the history of Hakone Shrine." After visiting the main hall, we took commemorative photos from the side in front of the torii gate over the lake. We returned to Moto-Hakone Port and took a short break. After that, we took the Hakone Tozan Bus to "Amazake Chaya." They sampled the specialty "amazake." "It has a slightly unusual taste," they said. We strolled along the nearby stone-paved path. Then we took the mountain bus back to Hakone-Yumoto and strolled through the shopping street (they wanted to buy souvenirs). They also commented, "Everywhere in Japan, the towns are clean. There is no litter on the ground." "Everyone is polite." "Hakone suits us better than Tokyo." I saw them off at Gora Station, ending the tour.

    Guiding career:
Guide work started in July 2022. A guide focused on FIT compliance.
    FY2022 results: 17 cases, FY2023 results: 97
Destinations: Various places in Tokyo, Hakone, Kamakura and Nikko
As a recent group travel record, in October 2023, we have a track record of guiding a group of 33 people from Singapore to Narita Airport transfer plus sightseeing in Tokyo.
    Self-introduction:
In the past, I was stationed in Canada, the United States, and Mexico as an expatriate of a Japanese bank for over 11 years.
Since I have been mainly involved in the financing business in the United States for a long time, I think I am able to provide interpretation and translation services related to business and finance.
I am a certified CPA in the United States.
In addition, for three years from April 2016, I will be engaged in Japanese-English translation work (part-time), and I can also handle translation work.
Although I don’t have a qualification in Spanish, but I think I can handle day to day conversation in Spanish without any problems.
My hobby is trekking and from time to time, take a walk around mountains near Tokyo like Mt. Takao, Tanzawa, etc. I think it is possible to provide tourist information here as well.
Since April 2015, I have been working as a Tokyo Metropolitan Tourism Volunteer and Tokyo Metropolitan Disaster Prevention Volunteer.
One more, I have a separate house near Asuka Village, Nara prefecture, and I stay there for a total of about 30 days every year and have been enjoying sightseeing personally in the vicinity. Therefore, I think in the Kansai region, especially in Nara, Asuka, Yoshino, Koyasan, Kumano Kodo, etc., where I think I will be able to tour guide with confidence.

What Is a Private One-Day Tokyo Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Tsukiji, Meiji Shrine, Takeshita Street, and Shibuya The guest was a visitor from Europe joining on their own. Since they were staying at a hotel, we arranged to meet at the hotel. The day was perfectly clear, and the guest seemed to thoroughly enjoy each place we visited. At Tsukiji, the guest purchased many pottery items. The guest was surprised by the contrast between the calm atmosphere of Meiji Shrine and the lively bustle of Takeshita Street, and enjoyed a crepe there. At Shibuya, the guest was amazed by the scene at the scramble crossing. As there was one guest, our conversation flowed easily, and thanks to the wonderful weather, I was able to conduct the tour in a warm and pleasant atmosphere throughout.

Title: What's a Private Tokyo Tour from Tsukiji to Asakusa Like? A Licensed Guide's Report There was prior communication through an agency, and the tour start time was moved earlier to 9:00. Because of the timing of a rickshaw reservation in Asakusa, it was agreed that the itinerary would end by returning to Asakusa, and the guests kindly understood this. The guests were visitors from Europe. Since walking was very difficult for some of the group, and they indicated they were fine with using the subway first, we traveled from Asakusa to Tsukiji by subway. We avoided stairs as much as possible, though walking remained challenging. Upon arriving at the Tsukiji Outer Market, part of the group wished to sit and rest, and while waiting at a restaurant, we visited shops such as Saito Suisan. For the movement to the Character Street at Tokyo Station and back to Asakusa, we used a taxi. When I guided the guests to the reserved rickshaw operator Ebisuya, they said we could part ways there, and I took my leave in front of Sensoji Temple.

Title: What Is a Private Nara Deer Park Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report Since there were children in the group, we spent plenty of time letting them play with the deer. Right now it is the season when baby deer are being born, and the mother deer are on edge. I have had a relationship with the deer of Nara for several decades, but this was the first time I was attacked by a mother deer. She did not have a baby with her, so I did not realize she was a mother, but a woman from the traditional restaurant "Edosan" inside the park was watching and told me, "She just gave birth over there." Normally, places with fewer people and fewer deer are quieter, and the deer are calmer, which is better for guests traveling with children. However, during the birthing season, such quiet spots become birthing places, so caution is needed.

Hello! Thank you for choosing Nara! I bet you’ll love Nara. I specialize in Nara because Nara is the unique place where in one day you can cover the history and religions of Japan from the ancient times to the post war era while enjoying rambling in the UNESCO World Heritage park, having communication with lovely deer, surrounded with the beautiful nature.
I grew up in Nara, went university in Kyoto, enjoyed teaching at high schools and a university in Osaka. The three former capitals of Japan are home to me.
After retiring from teaching I began guiding so that I can meet various people from various corners of the world with a variety of cultures and backgrounds. Each time I guide, I find it hugely rewarding because I learn a lot from my guests sharing the history, culture and all that I know about Nara, Kyoto and Osaka.
I used to be a marathon runner, mountain climber and skier though I am not much of them anymore.
What I especially recommend is to stay in Nara a couple of days and enjoy communicating with friendly deer while visiting UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Nara in early morning, temples and shrines at night are well worth experiencing.

Title: What's a Private Day Tour of Kyoto Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on the Philosopher's Path, Gion, and Arashiyama The guests were a group visiting from Oceania. We had originally planned to visit Fushimi Inari Taisha, but two days before the tour I received an email asking to visit the Philosopher's Path, so we changed the plan on short notice. They were very pleased and enjoyed the atmosphere. In Gion, we saw someone in bridal attire along the Shirakawa area, and they were delighted to be able to take photos and happily showed them to me. At Nishiki Market, everyone had lunch on their own, and then we passed through the bamboo grove in Arashiyama, entered Tenryu-ji Temple, and enjoyed the garden. Finally, thanks to the kindness of the driver, we crossed Togetsukyo Bridge and were driven to Fushimi Inari Taisha. We ended the tour there.

Hello, my name is Harumi, and I am a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter in Japan. I have been actively involved in volunteer activities for many years, sharing my passion for Japanese culture and history. As a kimono dressing instructor, I can provide hands-on kimono experiences and guide tours. Additionally, I have extensive knowledge of sumo wrestling, making my tours ideal for those interested in this fascinating sport. I am also well-versed in Important Preservation Districts for Groups of Traditional Buildings (Jūdenken) and can introduce historical townscapes dating back to the Edo period. If you are interested, I would be happy to show you around the sake brewing process in the Nada region.

What Is a Private Kyoto Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from North America. They had visited Japan many times before, including for skiing, having come more than ten times in total. As I enjoy golf myself, we had a pleasant conversation about golf along the way. The guests seemed mindful of the time and asked twice whether we were keeping to the schedule, so I reassured them that I would be flexible and that they were welcome to look around at their own pace. It turned out they had previously had an experience of being rushed. Although it is a lovely season now with beautiful fresh green maple leaves, they said they would like to return to see the autumn foliage as well. As they were planning to visit Osaka next, I introduced two or three highlights before we parted ways.

Guests from Oceania joined this private tour. The weather was ideal and the day had a comfortable climate, so in the morning the guests fully enjoyed the distinctive natural scenery of Oku-Nikko. When they asked whether there was a place to buy postcards as a memento, I checked with the driver as well, who kindly inquired at a souvenir shop during our waiting time. It turned out that many shops no longer carry them, and even where they do, stock is often limited to what remains. Later, when we stopped at a teahouse near Ryuzu Falls, there were hologram postcards available, and the guests purchased those.
