Title: What Can You See on a Private Miyajima Tour? A Licensed Guide's Report I guided a group visiting from North America. First, at the shrine, the guests were moved by the beauty of the torii gate and took many photos. As low tide was approaching, we were able to walk close to the torii gate, and the guests seemed amazed by its size. At Daisho-in Temple, the guests were very interested in the garden of the 500 Rakan statues and even recorded video. Along the main approach, the guests chose a rice paddle inscribed with "Muscles never betray you," as one of the family members is into bodybuilding. The guests shared that they had moved to their current home from another region years earlier. When I asked how they had mastered English, they explained that they had learned it through various media such as movies and music. Finally, the guests seemed to really enjoy okonomiyaki, and I suggested that once they returned to Osaka they should compare Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki with Osaka-style okonomiyaki.

Title: What Is a 6-Hour Private Kyoto Tour by Taxi Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The group consisted of guests visiting Japan together. When I met them at the Hotel in the morning, one of the guests said that an item purchased through an online retailer during their stay in Tokyo was not working, and asked me to call the toll-free number on their behalf. I made the call, and the matter was resolved by having the seller send a replacement item to the Hotel where they were staying. One of the guests had difficulty walking and found it hard to climb stairs. At Fushimi Inari Taisha, I guided them while they used the handrails. At the entrance stairs of the Ninomaru Palace at Nijo Castle, they went up and down holding hands with the group. At Kinkaku-ji, they were unable to climb the stairs leading to Sekkatei, and since all the other guests said they would not go to Sekkatei either, we turned back at the entrance and exited. At the Kyoto Imperial Palace, one of the guests said they would wait in the waiting room just inside the Seisho-mon Gate and stayed there alone. Before heading to Kiyomizu-dera, I confirmed with the applicant guest whether they could manage the climb, as the temple is located halfway up a hill. They decided not to go, and two of the guests stopped by the Hotel and got out of the taxi, ending their tour there. I then guided the remaining three guests to Kiyomizu-dera. Since it was approaching 4:00 p.m. and extension fees would apply, we released the taxi and I concluded my duties after guiding them through Kiyomizu-dera. The guests wished to visit all the destinations listed, so in order to fit everything into six hours, I had told them in advance that we would buy sandwiches at a convenience store for lunch and that we would finish at Kiyomizu-dera if we ran short of time. They ate the sandwiches in the car, and I had obtained the taxi driver's permission in advance for eating in the vehicle. At Kinkaku-ji, they took many photos. Although only three of the guests visited Kiyomizu-dera, they said they were glad they came.

What Is a Private Miyajima Island Tour Like Near Hiroshima? A Licensed Guide's Report The original plan was to stop by Peace Memorial Park and the Atomic Bomb Museum, but the day before, I received word that the guests had already visited them, so we changed the plan on short notice. Due to the timing of the train to Takamatsu, there was a request to finish the tour a little early, so we decided to spend a relaxed time at Miyajima alone. Since walking long distances seemed difficult, we did not go all the way to the summit but instead enjoyed the scenery from an observation deck near the final ropeway station. The guests seemed very happy to be able to see both high tide and low tide. They did not seem to enjoy being rushed by the clock, so I was glad they were pleased to have spent the time leisurely. It was memorable how, on the return train, they looked back at the photos taken during the tour again and again, savoring the lingering impressions.

What Is a Private Hiroshima and Miyajima Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visiting Japan for the first time from Europe. Since they mentioned they would be staying in Osaka for a few days, I recommended the JR West Pass. Also, since high tide at Miyajima was around 8:30, I explained the situation, and we started the tour at 9:00. Because the guests were from Europe, I recommended the bread from a certain bakery, but they said they had already found it in Tokyo and enjoyed a nostalgic taste of home. I thought it might be an exaggeration, but… They had not booked their return tickets and said they would stroll around a while longer before heading back, so we ended the tour at Hondori. I also recommended Shukkeien Garden and Hiroshima Castle, but they chose Hondori.

I was born and raised in Hiroshima. My first tour in English was as a volunteer guide for the visitors to my school when I was a junior high school student. It gave me a great opportunity to study about the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima.
I spent my life in Hiroshima except for 6 years; 1 year in the UK as a student and 5 years working in Singapore and Malaysia. During this period I enjoyed meeting and talking with people from different cultural backgrounds.
These experiences encouraged me to be a licensed tour guide.

In Hiroshima, there are two famous World Heritage Sites, the Atomic Bomb Dome in the Hiroshima Peace Memorial & Itsukushima Shrine in Miyajima.
I have experienced many tours of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum & Park since I was a junior high school student. I would like to introduce you to the a-bomb legacies that are still existing in the city and the stories under the mushroom cloud.
I also would like to share time with you on a historic island, Miyajima. There is one of the most famous Shinto shrines, the Itsukushima Shrine. We can share an enjoyable time by exploring a sacred atmosphere, tradition, nature, food, etc.

I am also an official ‘A-bomb legacy successor’ designated by the City of Hiroshima. An A-bomb Legacy Successor is a memory keeper of the A-bomb survivors. To ensure that the A-bomb survivors’ experiences and desires for peace are faithfully inherited and shared with as many people as possible, the City has started a three-year training program for official ‘A-bomb Legacy Successors. ‘

Title: What Is a Private Kumano Kodo Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report Well before the tour, I had been discussing the itinerary and luggage transport with one of the guests, and by the morning of the tour day boxed lunches had arrived at the hotel front desk, where the guests were to leave their luggage and money. After greeting the guests and waiting, the rest of the group arrived, and after exchanging greetings we moved to Hosshinmon-oji using the lodging's shuttle service. There were already many tourists there. After explaining about the Kumano Kodo and the oji shrines, we started our walk. Everyone enjoyed the view of the mountain ridges and took photos of the sea of clouds. Just before Mizunomi-oji, perhaps because the path was wet, one of the guests slipped and fell. Fortunately there seemed to be no injury, but just to be safe they walked using a cane borrowed from within the group. We rested a little at the Forest Bed, talked about tea in the Otonashi area, took photos of Sanri Fuji, and arrived at Fushiogami. After explaining about the oji shrine and taking photos, we ate the boxed lunches we had brought. Everyone ordered shiso juice. One of the guests especially seemed to enjoy the juice. After that, I gave an explanation at Sangenjaya and we headed to the lookout point. The guest who had fallen in the morning had recovered and was walking briskly. We arrived at Hongu Taisha, and while some of the guests rested, the others bought amulets. After taking commemorative photos at Oyunohara, we boarded the bus bound for Shingu from in front of Hongu Taisha. We had planned to take the JR line from Shingu to Kii-Katsuura, but there was some traffic congestion in Shingu, so we could not catch the JR and moved to Kii-Katsuura by bus instead. Since they had reserved a rental car, we went there, confirmed the contract, and picked up the car. They kindly gave me a ride to my own car. The tour ended at Nachi Station. As we were heading in the same direction, I guided them to a supermarket for shopping and to their lodging at a temple. It was completely dark when we arrived, but I said goodbye to everyone and we parted ways.

Can You Do a Private Day Trip to Himeji? A Licensed Guide's Report on Engyoji Temple and Koko-en Garden The guests moved through the day smoothly. The guests had a great deal of interest in and curiosity about Japan, and they asked many questions. They toured attentively and seemed very satisfied with the grandeur of Engyoji Temple and the beauty of the garden at Koko-en. They were also very interested in Japanese cuisine, so I recommended some local foods of Himeji, and I also introduced two or three recommended restaurants for Kobe beef, which they said they would like to try today or tomorrow. Since one of the guests inquired about a chocolate shop, I introduced a long-established confectionery in Kobe. 1) Tako-yaki
Tako-yaki is a snack filled with pieces of octopus in a batter of flour , egg and soup stock. You can call them octopus dumplings or balls. “Tako” means
octopus and “yaki” means grilled or broiled.
2) Okonomi-yaki
This word Okonomi-yaki means “cook just as you like” and you can use whatever you like as toppings, such as beef, pork, shrimp, squid and octopus.
Okonomi-yaki is round shape and just like pancakes or pizza in shape mainly made from egg, flour and water.
3) Kushi-katsu
Kushi-katsu is skewered cutlet or deep-fried foods on a stick. “Kushi” means skewer and “katsu” means cutlet. Various kinds of foods are used for
ingredients such as beef, pork, chicken, shrimp, squid, octopus and lots of kinds of vegetables.

Actually, the western Japan including Osaka, Kobe and Himeji is called as “Home of such local soul foods”. You should give it a try and I am sure
that you like them very much.

Title: What Is a Private One-Day Tokyo Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report This was my first time visiting inside the Hotel, and I noticed that the reception and the lobby are located on opposite sides of the elevator hall on the first floor, so care is needed when arranging a meeting point. The guests had contacted me via a messaging app to let me know they would be running late, so I waited near the elevator hall and met them there. The guests wished to visit as many places as possible, so I guided them in a compact way centered on classic sightseeing spots. Since they offered that it would be fine to use taxis, we took a taxi for the longer stretch between Shibuya and Asakusa so that the guests would not get tired. For lunch they wanted Japanese cuisine, but since one of the guests did not like fish, it was a bit of a challenge to find a suitable restaurant. We chose a casual place along Shin-Nakamise Street, which was helpful because it had a relatively wide range of menu options. The guests both enjoyed taking photos, so the tour ended later than scheduled. I received the additional fee for the overtime separately, and we parted ways at the Hotel.

What Is a Private Otaru Cruise Port Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting Japan on a cruise. We met in front of a sake brewery located a little away from the center of Otaru City. The brewery tour was easy to follow, as the sake-making process could be viewed from the second floor looking down, and sake tasting was also available. The guests bought some sake and other items. After that, we walked to the nearby Minami-Otaru Station, took the JR train to Otaru Station, and then walked along the Otaru Canal taking photos. We entered the Nitori Museum of Art in the Otaru Art Village, where the guests took their time appreciating Japanese paintings and other works. Afterward, they did a little shopping, but as the group had grown tired, we ended the tour a bit early. The photo was taken at the Otaru Canal.

The guests were visitors from the Middle East. The booking came through a local travel agency, and information beforehand suggested they were high-end travelers, but they turned out to be very friendly. They had lived in several other regions and had traveled to many countries, and while they were looking for experiences unique to Japan, they had already visited Kyoto, Osaka, and Kanazawa, so general guiding at shrines and temples was not needed. Since they were interested in fashionable, trendy neighborhoods, I quickly adjusted the itinerary and showed them areas such as Ura-Harajuku. After Shibuya Crossing, I guided them to Parco, where the tour concluded.

What Is a Private Day Tour of Nikko Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Toshogu, Kanmangafuchi, and the Tamozawa Imperial Villa The guests were visiting from North America. They initially requested Kegon Falls, but when I explained that it would require separate transportation and that traffic congestion was a concern, they preferred to go elsewhere. I suggested Kanmangafuchi Abyss and the Tamozawa Imperial Villa as alternatives, and we visited those during the afternoon portion of the itinerary. Toshogu Shrine was quite crowded with many tour groups, but we were able to see all the main areas. After lunch, the guests enjoyed souvenirs and desserts at shops along the West Approach, and then we walked to Kanmangafuchi Abyss. At the Tamozawa Imperial Villa that followed, we were fortunate not to overlap with any tour groups, allowing the guests to fully enjoy the beautiful nature and tranquility.
