What Can You See on a Private One-Day Kyoto Tour? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from Europe, and I guided them to Fushimi Inari Taisha, Tenryu-ji, the Bamboo Grove Path, Ryoan-ji, and Kinkaku-ji. Ryoan-ji in particular had been requested in advance, and the guests were very pleased when they actually saw the garden. Near Ryoan-ji we happened upon a local autumn festival, where the guests eagerly took photographs of the portable shrine (mikoshi) and seemed deeply impressed by Japan's traditional culture. The guests thoroughly enjoyed the Zen temple gardens of Tenryu-ji, Ryoan-ji, and Kinkaku-ji, and they were also very satisfied with the lunch I arranged at the restaurant "Gyaatei," making for a wonderfully fulfilling day.

What Can You See on a Private Day Tour of Osaka? A Licensed Guide's Report on Tsutenkaku and Osaka Castle [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) guided the group, visitors from North America, on a private day tour of Osaka. We first visited Tsutenkaku. It was very crowded and we waited in line for nearly an hour before entering, but the guests enjoyed the spectacular outdoor views from the rooftop observation deck and the nostalgic Showa-era atmosphere. Afterward, we toured Osaka Castle, and at Hokoku Shrine the guests listened attentively to my explanations about Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the historical background of that era, and the stone walls and architecture. They were also interested to learn that Osaka is known as the "food capital," so for lunch they enjoyed kushikatsu, an Osaka specialty, at a restaurant.

Title: What Is a Private Tokyo Tour Like for First-Time Visitors from Europe? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting Japan from Europe, having arrived the previous day. For this trip, one of the guests had personally handled everything, including purchasing the JAPAN RAIL PASS, booking each of their accommodations, and reserving attractions such as teamLab and a ninja cafe. The group plans to stay in Tokyo for several days, then travel to Hakone, Kyoto, Osaka, and Hiroshima before heading to Fukuoka. In Fukuoka, they plan to watch a grand sumo tournament, and the tickets for it had also been purchased in advance. The group seemed very grateful for all of this effort. They also mentioned that they had entered the reservation lottery for the newly opened Nintendo Museum, and I am hoping they win. We had a lively conversation about the writer Samuel Beckett, famous for "Waiting for Godot," and the film "The Commitments," which is set in the writer's home region.

Can You Do a Private One-Day Kyoto Tour Covering Fushimi Inari, Kiyomizu-dera, and Arashiyama? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from North America. Since rain was in the forecast, we started the tour early in the morning. At Fushimi Inari Taisha, the group enjoyed walking through the torii gates and also had fun with the "Omokaru-ishi" (lighter-heavier stones). At Kiyomizu-dera, they paid their respects to the principal image, the Thousand-Armed Kannon, and to Daikokuten, and took photos of the view from the wooden stage. At Otowa Waterfall, they happily drank from all three streams of pure water, said to bring health, beauty, and success. After arriving in Arashiyama, we had lunch. The guests were delighted with the tofu and yuba set meal, saying it was truly delicious. As it began to rain, we decided against the originally planned visit to Kinkaku-ji and stayed in Arashiyama, where I guided them through the Bamboo Grove path, the garden of Tenryu-ji, and Togetsukyo Bridge, concluding the tour.

After sightseeing in Tokyo, they planned to travel to Osaka and Kyoto. At Tsukiji, they enjoyed a Japanese lunch. In Shibuya, they showed interest in the story of Hachiko, the loyal dog. At Shinjuku Gyoen, they enjoyed the vast and beautiful Japanese garden and the rose garden. At Nezu Shrine, they listened with interest to my explanation of the difference between shrines and temples, and were fascinated by the many rows of red torii gates. Title: What's a Private Kanazawa Walking Tour from the Cruise Terminal Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The booking came through a cruise-related travel agency, and I had been told in advance that the group size would increase from the original number. The guests chose to use the local route bus, and since the cruise company's shuttle bus to the west exit of Kanazawa Station cost 20 dollars per person, taking the local route bus that also stopped at Korinbo turned out to be the right choice when factoring in transfer times. The original plan was to return to the terminal by around 4:00 p.m., but on the day itself the guests requested to be back at the terminal by 3:30 p.m. Since the guests said they loved walking, I arranged the entire itinerary on foot. This was tiring for me, but it was efficient with no wasted time, and I managed to cover the desired route—slightly abbreviated—within the time limit while providing explanations along the way. We stopped for lunch at Omicho Market, and although we did not have much time, the guests preferred the noodle and rice bowl shops over the fresh seafood and enjoyed their meal there.

What Is a Private Tokyo Tour of Meiji Shrine, Asakusa, and Shibuya Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests came from North America and had just completed a 27-day cruise tour, with the day of the guided tour being their final day of sightseeing in Tokyo. At the guests' request, [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) guided them to Meiji Shrine, Asakusa, and Shibuya. One of the guests could walk slowly but could not manage going up and down stairs. We used escalators and elevators, taking breaks along the way and going at a relaxed pace. Since there was construction in various places in Shinjuku and Shibuya, I checked the locations of the elevators in advance. The guests said lunch was delicious and finished everything. In the past, one of the guests had trouble getting up from a low sunken kotatsu seat, so choosing a table seat this time turned out to be the right decision. I was glad we made it back to the Hotel before the rain started coming down heavily. I hope the guests return home safely with many wonderful memories.

What Is a Private Nikko Day Tour Like for Photography Lovers? A Licensed Guide's Report The guest was a visitor from North America who enjoys photography, so during this very crowded season we arranged to meet right at the 8:00 opening in order to make it possible to take the best photos. At Rinno-ji Temple at 8:00 in the morning, the visit began with the sound of a large bell, and in the main hall many monks were chanting sutras together in resonant voices, which seemed to be a very moving sight for the guest. After that, at the Shoyo-en garden, Toshogu Shrine, and Taiyuin, the guest enjoyed taking photos from various angles in a way unique to a photography enthusiast. I had thought I would reduce the historical explanations so that the guest could focus on photography, but since every story was listened to with interest and in a relaxed manner, it was easy to talk, and in the end I ended up explaining things in more detail than usual. The guest mentioned following a vegetarian diet but said there was no need to worry about it during the trip. Just in case, I introduced a restaurant with vegetarian options, and the guest had a vegetable curry. The guest wanted to buy purified water for a machine used for sleeping, so I guided them to a drugstore. Also, since the accommodation did not include meals, we went to a convenience store. I had wanted to take the guest to a supermarket, but the roads along the way were congested and it would have taken time, so we managed at a convenience store instead. Throughout the day, we enjoyed pleasant and relaxed conversation, and I believe it turned out to be a very good tour.

Hello! My name is Yumi. The Nikko area, Nasu area, in Tochigi Prefecture, and Aizu and Shirakawa area in Fukushima prefecture, where I will be guiding you, are not only surrounded by beautiful nature in all four seasons but are also full of historical attractions. Nikko, in particular, is a great place to learn about the culture and history that has shaped Japan to this day. In order for you to truly enjoy your day, I am flexible to your wishes and will prepare your day to be a great day. Because I am a local guide, you will surely see some sights that are not in the guidebooks. Is local food one of your favorite parts of your trip? I am also a sushi-making instructor for foreigners, so food is one of my specialties. I am also a certified sake navigator. Why don’t you come and enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime encounter with me?

What Is a Private Tokyo Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Asakusa, Hamarikyu, and Meiji Shrine The meeting point provided by [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) was a Hotel, and the address was correct, but the guests were actually staying at a different Hotel on the opposite side of the street, which had a different address. When the guests did not appear at the appointed time, I became a little anxious, but the guests realized they were at the wrong Hotel and came to the correct one, so everything worked out fine. The guests were a group visiting from North America. All of them enjoyed the atmosphere of Asakusa, Hamarikyu, and Meiji Shrine. They also purchased many souvenirs. Meiji Shrine was in the middle of its autumn grand festival, and they showed great interest in the chrysanthemum exhibition and the bonsai. They also seemed to enjoy the ema votive tablets, omikuji fortunes, and omamori charms. They were also very pleased with the sushi and desserts at a conveyor-belt sushi restaurant.

I have been working as a tour guide once a week since the autumein 2024. I got 5 star ratings from 32 individuals or groups succesively.
Previously, I have been working with grain business for 43 years. I was sent to a subsidiary office in New Orleans for three years.
I love Japanese history, culture and nature and want as many viaitors as possible to know the good and beautiful things about Japan. There’s a Zen teaching that I hold dear. That is ‘Ichi-go ichie’, which means ’Treasure every encounter as it may not come again’. Looking forward to see you!

What Is a Private Tour Around Japan Like? A Licensed Guide's Report This was a private tour for guests visiting from Oceania. Because a travel agency was involved as an intermediary, it was difficult to communicate directly at first, but I was able to obtain a direct email address and confirm the arrangements. Since the meeting point was a private accommodation booked online, I made a confirmation call via a messaging app for the day's pickup, but the agency answered instead of the guests. If possible, I would suggest standardizing the contact number to be the guests' own number going forward, as this would likely make the meetup smoother. I would appreciate your consideration of this (there have been similar cases in the past).
