    What Is a 4-Hour Private Walking Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from Oceania. During the 4-hour tour, they took only about a 10-minute break and walked energetically, but toward the end they seemed a little tired, partly due to the previous day's flight and a sudden rise in temperature. Everywhere we went, they were amazed by how many people there were. Tsukiji in particular was so crowded at lunchtime that it was difficult even to walk, and after a short look they felt they had seen enough. They were amazed by the sheer size of Tokyo as seen from Tokyo Tower, and were moved by the vastness of the Imperial Palace and its beautifully maintained gardens, spending a very enjoyable 4 hours.

    Title: What Is a Private Walking Tour of Hiroshima Like? A Licensed Guide's Report After briefly explaining the itinerary at the Hotel, the guests mentioned that they were good at walking, so we walked about 20 minutes to Peace Memorial Park. Since the museum gets very crowded in the afternoon, we visited it first. Because the tickets had been reserved online, we were able to enter smoothly. I did not accompany the guests inside, but they said it was very crowded. The guests shared their impressions, saying that although it was very sad, it was history that should be learned. Since the guests were visiting from North America, I spoke about the atomic bomb carefully while observing how they were feeling. At first we were both still getting used to each other and conversation was a bit reserved, but by the time we finished at Peace Memorial Park we had warmed up to one another. During lunch, the guests told me a lot about their travels in Japan before coming to Hiroshima (Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto) and showed me many photos. On the way to Hiroshima Castle, the guests mentioned that they loved matcha, and it happened that a tea ceremony was being held at the Ninomaru area of Hiroshima Castle, so they were able to take part and were very pleased. As the weather was nice, I asked for their preference and guided them to Shukkeien Garden to conclude the tour. A Licensed Guide's Report on Tsukiji, Shinjuku Gyoen, Meiji Shrine, Harajuku, and Shibuya The weather was pleasant, and the guests were able to enjoy sightseeing comfortably. They had a Welcome Suica, which helped save time during the trip. At Tsukiji, the guests were delighted to see fresh seafood, but they did no shopping at all in the outer market or the various shops in Tsukiji, so we moved along smoothly. At Shinjuku Gyoen, few cherry blossoms were in bloom and the Somei-Yoshino had not opened at all, but the guests enjoyed the early-blooming varieties and the colorful camellias and took many photos. They had lunch at the eat-in area of a convenience store in Shinjuku, and seemed to like a strawberry cream sandwich. At Meiji Shrine I gave various explanations. At Takeshita Street in Harajuku, the guests looked around at many things but often walked past quickly, and only bought and ate a "10-yen bread." By the time we reached Harajuku, the time spent on shopping and so on was much less than expected, and we were about an hour ahead of schedule, which I had mentioned, but the guests did not mind and we headed to Shibuya. In Shibuya, the guests took photos with the Hachiko statue, photographed the scramble crossing from Starbucks, and finally I guided them to Center Street, where they entered a capsule toy shop. There they said they were satisfied stopping there, so the tour ended with about 30 minutes remaining.

    Title: What's a Private Kyoto Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Fushimi Inari and Kiyomizu-dera The guests were a group visiting from North America and Oceania. Some of the guests were energetic and often walked ahead of us. At Fushimi Inari, I explained the proper way to worship and the differences between Shinto and Buddhism, and the guests took photos among the Senbon Torii, tried the Omokaru-ishi stones, and clapped their hands at the Kodama-ga-ike pond. There was a spot in the grounds where a few cherry blossoms were beginning to bloom, which delighted them. We took many photos within the Fushimi Inari grounds. At Nishiki Market, I had thought they might eat something, but they only looked around, so I guided them to a shop selling Japanese-style small goods in the Teramachi shopping arcade, where some of the guests purchased souvenirs. We then moved by taxi to Yasaka-dori and I guided them to Kiyomizu-dera via the Yasaka Pagoda and Sannenzaka, where they had the experience of pouring water for the Kannon Bodhisattva. After visiting Kiyomizu-dera, it was around 13:30, and although the tour was ending, I asked what they would like to do next. They said they would stroll around the area a bit before heading back but could return on their own, so it was fine to end here. I told them the taxi would need to go out to the bus street, and we said goodbye in front of Kiyomizu-dera.

    Hiro in Japanese means large or big. Although I’m neither large nor big, you can call me Hiro. How are you doing ?
    I lived in a city nearby Kobe city. Do you know Kobe ? Kobe is famous for Kobe beef and pearl. If you have not yet had Kobe beef, you should taste the authentic Kobe beef. It is very satisfying taste. But I have recently moved to a city in Kyoto prefecture, so I can be in Kyoto city in about one hour. By the way, I am a family of four. I have a son and a daughter. My son now works in Tokyo. I sometimes go to Tokyo to see him. Tokyo is a huge city, but too crowded, so it seems not to suit me. I seem to be better suited to a small city than a big one. Where do you live in ? How many families do you have ? If you like, please tell me about them. I worked in the quality assurance department of a pharmaceutical company and visited the factories of foreign affiliated companies, so I became interested in foreign cultures and obtained a qualification as an interpreter guide in 2015.

    I have been a guide for about eight years. During that time, I have guided in Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe, Nara, Kochi and so on, although I could do little guiding work between 2020 and 2022 due to COVID-19. However, since last year, my guiding work has been back! So, I am happy to be able to meet different people again. My hobby is travelling, but sadly, I am not in a position to travel abroad easily at the moment due to the very weak yen, and I hope to travel abroad again when the situation eases a bit more.
    How many countries have you been to so far ? Which countries have you liked so far? Another hobby is watching sports – baseball and football. Do you like the baseball ? If so, please contact me as early as possible. As for food, what kind of food do you like? There are many kinds of delicious food. Of course, you can get good food in fine restaurants, but you can also get good food in downtown restaurants. If you like alcohol, why don’t you try Japanese sake? It can range from light and fragrant to rich in flavor, so you’re sure to find a Japanese sake you like.

    Title: What Is a Private Day Tour of Hakone Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Gora, Owakudani, and the Open-Air Museum Body: Before the tour even began, there were requests that were physically impossible to fulfill, and the coordination through a secretary was quite demanding. The plan was to arrive at a hotel near Koen-kami Station in Gora at 11:00 after departing from Tokyo. From there, the guests wished to take the cable car and ropeway, sightsee at Owakudani and have lunch at a restaurant, ride the ropeway again and then the pirate ship, visit Hakone Shrine, and afterward see both the Open-Air Museum and the Hakone Glass Forest Museum. This was a physically impossible itinerary. No matter how the schedule was adjusted, it could not be realized. I considered whether chartering a car might make it possible, but that would mean they could not ride the ropeway or the ship they wanted. What was feasible was to exclude Hakone Shrine, have lunch at a restaurant, spend about 50 minutes at the Open-Air Museum, and about 75 minutes at the Glass Forest Museum (arriving back in Gora at 18:07). On the day itself, from the very start it turned out we would not make the mountain railway on time, so the hotel's car took us to Sounzan. We had only 29 minutes at Owakudani, but Mount Fuji was visible and the volcanic steam of Owakudani could be seen, so it worked out well. We used first-class seating on the pirate ship. As a guide, I was able to board free of charge by presenting the itinerary. We had a meal at a soba restaurant. The bus from Hakonemachi Port to the Kowakudani bus stop took 15 minutes longer than scheduled, so we could not catch the planned mountain railway and arrived at the Open-Air Museum 30 minutes late. Once inside, the entire group loved it very much, so they gave up on visiting the Glass Forest Museum and thoroughly enjoyed the Open-Air Museum until closing time. Everyone was delighted, saying it was a truly wonderful museum. One of the guests photographed the natural flow of water, the scenery, and the sculptures extensively with a single-lens camera. I called the hotel and arranged a car to meet us at the time of our arrival in Gora. The guests were visitors from North America who ran a company. The coordination and agreement on destinations before the day, along with building the detailed itinerary for the day, were very demanding. In the end, the originally requested Hakone Shrine and Glass Forest Museum could not be visited, but with an 11:00 departure, it was an impossible request from the start. The secretary also asked me to explain how to get to Odawara to catch the Shinkansen to Kyoto the following day; although this is not a travel agency service, I created a detailed plan and sent it to them.

    Title: What Is a Private Full-Day Tokyo Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Harajuku, Tsukiji, and Cherry Blossoms The guests visited Japan for the first time from North America, arriving the previous day, and planned to stay in Tokyo, visit Kyoto and Osaka, then return to Tokyo to enjoy the cherry blossoms in full bloom before heading home. Some of the guests became absorbed in the "gashapon" capsule toy machines and the otters along Takeshita Street, which left little time for Akihabara, the final planned stop of the itinerary. At that point one of the guests said, "I'm hungry and would love some delicious sushi, so let's postpone Akihabara until tomorrow." So we made a spontaneous trip to a sushi restaurant in Tsukiji. This lunch seemed to become the highlight of the day for that guest.

    Can You Do a Private Afternoon Walking Tour of Osaka Castle and Dotonbori? A Guide's Report 1. The guests were from North America. We met in the lobby at exactly 2:00 PM and started the tour. 2. At Osaka Castle, I helped take commemorative photos in front of the Sakura Gate, and also by the pond where the main tower was beautifully reflected. 3. At Osaka Castle, the guests asked where the large stones and stone walls had been brought from, so I explained using the panels inside the castle. 4. Inside the castle, some of the guests tried on a samurai helmet and happily took commemorative photos together. 5. In Shinsekai, I introduced Billiken and the guests enjoyed rubbing its feet. 6. Dotonbori was very crowded and it was a challenge to walk through. The guests were delighted to take commemorative photos at the Glico sign.

    What Is a Private Tokyo Walking Tour of Tsukiji Like? A Licensed Guide's Report At the guests' request, the tour started at 10:00. First, the guests wanted help with the procedures for their bullet train tickets, so I took them to Tokyo Station. After that, I guided them to the Tsukiji Outer Market and Tsukiji Hongwanji Temple as they had requested. At the Tsukiji Outer Market, the guests enjoyed tasting tamagoyaki (rolled omelet) with great interest, and they liked the wasabi-flavored bean snacks and the sesame samples so much that they purchased them. They enjoyed strolling around while looking at the products in the various shops and taking photos. The guests were impressed by the exterior of Tsukiji Hongwanji Temple and went inside, where they took an interest in the interior decorations and the Buddhist altar.
