Title: What Is a Private One-Day Walking Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Tsukiji, Shinjuku Gyoen, Meiji Shrine, Harajuku, and Shibuya
The weather was pleasant, and the guests were able to enjoy sightseeing comfortably. They had a Welcome Suica, which helped save time during the trip. At Tsukiji, the guests were delighted to see fresh seafood, but they did no shopping at all in the outer market or the various shops in Tsukiji, so we moved along smoothly. At Shinjuku Gyoen, few cherry blossoms were in bloom and the Somei-Yoshino had not opened at all, but the guests enjoyed the early-blooming varieties and the colorful camellias and took many photos. They had lunch at the eat-in area of a convenience store in Shinjuku, and seemed to like a strawberry cream sandwich. At Meiji Shrine I gave various explanations. At Takeshita Street in Harajuku, the guests looked around at many things but often walked past quickly, and only bought and ate a "10-yen bread." By the time we reached Harajuku, the time spent on shopping and so on was much less than expected, and we were about an hour ahead of schedule, which I had mentioned, but the guests did not mind and we headed to Shibuya. In Shibuya, the guests took photos with the Hachiko statue, photographed the scramble crossing from Starbucks, and finally I guided them to Center Street, where they entered a capsule toy shop. There they said they were satisfied stopping there, so the tour ended with about 30 minutes remaining.

Allow me to introduce myself. I am a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter of Japan and an expert in Japanese history and culture, and also in nursing and health. I usually work as a Public Health Nurse (PHN) at a Public Health Center in Tokyo, and I hold a Registered Nurse (RN) license. Additionally, I have a Ph.D. in medical science.
Born in 1957 and raised in Tokyo, I have worked for 33 years mainly in the research and development area for some pharmaceutical companies. Then, I changed my career to nursing and entered a university to obtain a PHN and RN license. I took the Licensed Guide for preparation for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and volunteered in the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2021.

This was our first visit to Tokyo, and our tour with Koba made the experience truly exceptional. Koba was so nice to my family and I. He was patient and helped carry a large toy my daughter won. I wished we had another day. Having a guide saved us hours of navigating the subway and metro.
