Title: What's a Private Reiki Heritage Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from Oceania. They requested to visit Saihoji Temple in Shin-Koenji, which is the memorial site (grave and monument) of Mikao Usui, the founder of Reiki healing that began in Japan and has since spread overseas, as well as Meiji Shrine and Yoyogi Park, which are places connected to him. They stayed in Tokyo before continuing on a roughly two-week journey through Hakone, Kanazawa, Toyama, Nagoya, Osaka, and Kyoto. Since the content and locations were something I had never encountered before and there was little information available, it was challenging to prepare, but the guests were very pleased to be able to visit the memorial site and the connected places that were the main purpose of their visit to Japan. I also assisted with arranging various reserved-seat tickets, and the guests were delighted that they could set out on the rest of their journey with peace of mind.

What's a One-Day Private Tour of Tokyo Like from a Yokohama Cruise Port? A Licensed Guide's Report I guided a group who arrived in Yokohama this morning by cruise from Europe, taking them to Asakusa, Ueno, Harajuku, and Shibuya. In Asakusa, I explained the history of the shrines and temples and the proper etiquette for worship. Ueno was in full cherry blossom bloom, and the guests were impressed by how beautiful and splendid the weeping cherry trees were. At Meiji Shrine, they were delighted by the beautiful trees and the majestic main hall, saying it was truly wonderful. They also drew omikuji fortunes and remarked how lovely the beautiful waka poems by Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken were. In Shibuya, I showed them the Hachiko statue and the crossing, and then saw them off at Takanawa Gateway Station. They kindly told me they had a truly wonderful tour, which I greatly appreciated. It was an enjoyable tour with a friendly and warm-hearted group.

What Does a Private Tokyo Walking Tour Include? A Licensed Guide's Report on Meiji Shrine, the Imperial Palace, and Hamarikyu Gardens The guests were visitors from North America, and it was their first time in Japan. They mentioned that they had arrived in Japan after visiting several Southeast Asian countries on a cruise tour. At Meiji Shrine, the guests appeared deeply impressed by the quiet and solemn atmosphere, which was very different from Shibuya. At the Imperial Palace, they listened with great interest to the historical explanations about the role of the Emperor, the Meiji Restoration, and the Edo Shogunate. At Hamarikyu Gardens, the guests seemed impressed by the cherry blossoms in full bloom and the beautiful Japanese garden. Since I accommodated the guests' wishes as requested, I believe they were satisfied.

I am Seizo Kamiuto, National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter (English). I was born in Kagoshima City in Kyushu (Southern part of Japan) and grew up there until the graduation from a high school. I came to Tokyo to enter a University in Tokyo and since then, I have lived in Tokyo for more than 40 years and therefore I know Tokyo and its suburbs and Kagoshima City very well. After retiring from an IT company, I have been working as a Guide Interpreter of English since March 2018. I have guided many overseas guests to the popular sightseeing spots in Tokyo, Kamakura, Mt. Fuji area (Kawaguchiko Lake etc.), Hakone, Nikko, Yokohama, Kawagoe and Kagoshima and so on. I have received good reviews from many guests. I can explain the history and the culture of Japan in detail. I look forward to an opportunity to guide you in Japan. Thank you. Seizo Kamiuto

What Is a Private Walking Tour of Hiroshima and Miyajima Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were bright and cheerful, calm and easygoing, and they enjoyed everything throughout the day. They walked a great deal and took their time. They viewed the exhibits at the memorial museum carefully and attentively. I had originally planned to include Hiroshima Castle, but since they had already visited Matsumoto Castle and might also visit Osaka Castle, we skipped Hiroshima Castle and went to the Orizuru Tower instead. In addition to the exhibits and folding paper cranes, there was a wall-art quiz event that day, and the guests earnestly searched for each answer one by one and had a wonderful time. At Miyajima as well, they leisurely enjoyed the flowers and the scenery.

Hi, I’m Kahori, a nationally licensed tour guide, and delighted to show people around this area. For the past almost 10 years, I have mainly guided foreign medical professionals around Hiroshima City and Miyajima, gaining a deep understanding of the effects of radiation and the support for A-bomb survivors.
Hiroshima is a city of rivers and the sea. Along the rivers Cherry trees line, and the calm Seto Inland Sea, dotted with islands, creates a stunning landscape. Also, the sea has many islands called “art islands” which have fantastic arts relating to the art festival “Setouchi Triennale”. In addition to our two World Heritage Sites, this area is rich in attractive resources. I hope many of you will come and experience this fascinating land. Personally, I am very passionate about modern art and enjoy sports like stand-up paddle boarding (SUP) on our rivers.
I look forward to meeting you, interacting with you, and also, learning from you!

Title: What Is a Private Hiroshima and Miyajima Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from Oceania. They already had a JR Pass but did not have a transportation IC card, so they purchased an ICOCA card and used it on the Astram Line and local buses. They were pleased with how convenient and easy it was. The momiji manju did not seem to suit their taste, but they both enjoyed the baumkuchen. The miso soup seemed to be well received by one of the guests, though onion was not to their liking and was left uneaten. One of the guests mentioned enjoying seafood in general but did not care for oysters. Since I had heard that they liked burgers, for lunch we visited a cafe near Miyajimaguchi that served burgers and other dishes. One of the guests said the set menu they ordered, including conger eel tempura, was delicious. One of the guests mentioned having had an unusual cough since last October and coughed heavily on several occasions. The other guest also had a similar cough from time to time. A vending machine selling freshly squeezed orange juice had also appeared within the Miyajima shopping street, priced at 500 yen and using oranges from Oceania. They said the fresh juice was delicious. This was their first trip abroad, and they said the highlight was the Star Wars event in the Tokyo area (Makuhari Messe in Chiba). They also planned to visit the Ghibli attraction in Tokyo, Legoland in Nagoya, and the Osaka Aquarium, among other places. Since I had heard they liked Pokémon, I informed them that a Pokémon location would open at Hiroshima Station on April 11 and that there was one at SOGO, but the one at SOGO had already closed and appeared to be preparing to relocate to Hiroshima Station. Today, cruise ships had arrived at two locations in Hiroshima, so heavy crowds were expected at the Atomic Bomb Museum. I informed the guests of this, and we changed our plan to a park tour rather than entering the museum. Before the end of the tour, at the guests' request, we made reservations for their return Shinkansen. After enjoying the view from the rooftop of Minamoa and having all-you-can-drink beverages, I saw them off at the ticket gate to end the tour. They had only just arrived in Japan and seemed tired from jet lag and lack of sleep, but after the tour they sent me a message saying it had been a very enjoyable tour.

    Dear guests,
Hello! My name is Miki. I was born and brought up in Hiroshima. I enjoy traveling around Inland Sea areas and I enjoy chatting with guests from overseas!

In Hiroshima, you can see many beautiful rivers and old bridges. Lately, I often take photos of Hiroshima city including bridges and rivers. There are not many tall buildings here, but I know some places you can visit and see the view for free. By the atomic bomb dome, there is a building called Orizuru(paper crane) Tower. You need to pay to go up to the top floor but you can see the view of Hiroshima city and the Miyajima Island(Itsukushima).

Many tourists from overseas as well as Japan want to visit Miyajima Island. You can see a beautiful shrine from Heian Period which is around 12th century and a huge Torii gate in front of the shrine and it is in the water. There are several ways to visit the island from Hiroshima city. If you are going to stay near JR Hiroshima Station, we will visit the island by JR train and JR ferry. If you are staying in the city area, we can go there by streetcar and ferry, or there is a high-speed boat from Peace Memorial Park pier directly to the island and vise versa.

Hoping to see you in the near future!

    Miki

What Is a Private Nara Day Tour with Deer Like? A Licensed Guide's Report Today's guests were a group visiting from North America. For the younger members of the group, going to Nara was less about seeing shrines and temples and more about interacting with the deer. However, since late March, many tourists have been visiting Nara, and the production of deer crackers (shika senbei) seemed unable to keep up with demand, so many shops had sold out of them. We were finally able to find a shop that still had some in stock, and I was glad that the guests were able to feed the deer.

What Can You See on a Private Osaka Day Tour? A Licensed Guide's Report on Kuromon Market and Osaka Castle The guests were a group visiting from Asia, and I met them in the hotel lobby. When I asked about the others in the group, one of the guests replied that they were still sleeping. The group came with a list of places they wanted to visit, and since they said they did not need guidance for Dotonbori, I selected Tsutenkaku, Kuromon Market, Osaka Castle, and the Umeda Sky Building. I guided them to Tsutenkaku, but they said they did not want to go inside and only took photos. They really enjoyed Kuromon Market, where some of the guests bought strawberries, watermelon, and grapes. Others purchased grilled Kobe beef skewers, sake, crab-flavored kamaboko, and shrimp tempura, sharing small portions and enjoying them together. It was not just food — some of the guests also cleverly picked up kimono-patterned pouches and keychains with torii ⛩️ gate decorations. At Osaka Castle as well, they did not go inside and were content with photos from the outside. Curiously, the rest of the group joined us at Osaka Castle, making a group of seven. Perhaps they had exchanged messages among themselves. At Osaka Castle, they relaxed for nearly an hour, chatting over coffee at the Doutor Coffee inside MIRAIZA. After that, I guided them toward the Umeda Sky Building, but as the remaining guide time ran out, we parted ways. For their return, I explained how to use the subway on the Midosuji Line to Tennoji.

I am an experienced guide, who live in Osaka. I have been a Government-Licensed Guide in English since 2018. I have already guided a lot of tourists overseas in Kansai Area, that is, in the vicinity of my prefecture, Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, Kobe, and Himeji. I am especially good at guiding in Kansai Area with sufficient knowledge of history, culture and transportation. I have guided people ranging from a small group of one or two to a group of 20-50 people in a big bus, that is, a coach. I like delicious food, because Osaka is a city of Kuidaorre, which means that people in Osaka love to eat and never spend too much money on food. Therefore, as an Osakan, I will do my best to explore restaurants which serve most delicious foods in wherever I take to my guests.

What Is a Private Tour of the Nakasendo Post Towns Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were interested in nature and post towns, and the whole group enjoyed themselves. The weather was good, the temperature was comfortable, and they were able to fully appreciate the cherry blossoms. Because it was cherry blossom season, all the buses were full, with people standing packed tightly together. The bus fares were collected not by the driver but by a dedicated attendant. The guests had purchased tickets and limited express tickets from Nagiso to Nagoya via an app, but perhaps because Nagiso Station is a station where SUICA cannot be used, the app's QR code did not work, and they had to buy tickets again on the train. I stepped in to negotiate with the conductor, but nothing could be done. Since I was on the same train as the guests heading to Nagoya, I handled the negotiations with the conductor and dealt with the ticket gate at Nagoya Station using the tickets purchased on the train.

**Title:** What's a Private Family Day Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report **Body:** [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) guide led a private one-day tour of Tokyo for a group visiting from North America. The itinerary I had proposed in advance was accepted without changes. After confirming the itinerary at our meeting point, we headed to the subway. The guests were not carrying cash, and their three credit cards did not work at the automated ticket machines (as often happens), so we withdrew cash at a nearby ATM, purchased a one-day subway pass, and started the tour. At Meiji Shrine, the guests listened attentively to my explanations and also tried the mystery quiz about the pillars of the outer worship hall. Since they had only arrived the previous night, we took a short break for a light meal at a coffee shop in Shibuya. We strolled through Tsukiji Market, and when they said they wanted to eat ramen, I guided them to a recommended shop and we parted ways there. During the tour, I was able to share a variety of information that the guests appreciated, including recommended anime spots in Akihabara and elsewhere, the Kappabashi area, a tea ceremony experience behind Asakusa (I made a phone reservation on the spot and, after the tour, shared the guests' information with the staff at the experience venue), and Nishiki Market in Kyoto.

Hi! I’m a local guide in Tokyo and have been working as a licensed tour guide for almost 10 years. I love helping guests discover the “real Japan” beyond the guidebooks. I enjoy showing guests both famous sights and places that many tourists miss. My tours are based on your interests and can include not only famous sightseeing spots, but also local neighborhoods, culture, history, and everyday life in Japan. I also help guests enjoy Japanese cultural activities and make communication easier. If you’d like vegan or gluten-free meals, let me help you find suitable restaurants in Tokyo. If you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions, please feel free to let me know in advance. I look forward to showing you around Tokyo!

Title: What's a Full-Day Private Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Meiji Shrine, the Imperial Palace, Senso-ji, and Hamarikyu The guests were visitors from Europe, and it was their first time in Japan. They planned to take a cruise tour from Yokohama after sightseeing in Tokyo. At Meiji Shrine, they seemed impressed by the quiet and solemn atmosphere, which was very different from Shibuya. At the Imperial Palace, they listened with great interest to historical explanations about the role of the Emperor, the Meiji Restoration, and the Edo shogunate. At Senso-ji, they listened with interest to explanations about the differences between temples and shrines. At Hamarikyu, they seemed impressed by the cherry blossoms in full bloom and the beautiful Japanese garden.
