This was our first visit to Tokyo, and our tour with Koba made the experience truly exceptional. We’re a family of four with two teenage boys (14 and 16), and Koba was wonderfully kind, patient, and engaging with each of us. The experience started even before we arrived—his first communications laid out a thoughtful, customized itinerary that perfectly matched our interests as first-time visitors. Our six hours together were full, seamless, and incredibly rewarding. We just finished a wonderful day tour of Tokyo. I originally booked this tour as it was where I thought our cruise was departing from. But closer to our cruise departure I found out our cruise was departing from Tokyo International Cruise Terminal. As soon as I found out I notified my dedicated tour guide Seizo Kamari of the change of location. Seizo had no issue in changing our departure location and all was set. He prepared an itinerary for my approval. I requested a small change and he readily made the changes. Being all set Seizo stayed in contact to ensure we both were on the same sheet. This morning Seizo was already in our hotel lobby waiting for us. He confirmed our itinerary and off we went. I have to say this was a wonderful tour of the major sites of interest in Tokyo. Seizo also worked with me to determine a location for lunch. He made reservations so when we arrived the restaurant was ready for us. The restaurant was perfect and we enjoyed a wonderful meal. Seizo was very informative throughout our tour and ensured we were pleased with our tour. As a bonus he showed us a coffee shop John and Yoko Lennon frequently visited. So we had to indulge in this coffee shop. Another wonder experience! Seizo kept in contact with our driver so there was minimal waiting on pick ups. I fully recommend this tour for anyone visiting Tokyo. I also recommend Seizo as your tour guide. I cannot think of anything that would have made our day tour of Tokyo any better. Thank you Seizo for your friendliness and informative tour.

Best Tour for a Short Visit
Atsushi-san was an incredibly well-researched and friendly tour guide. His knowledge allowed us to explore and get to the historical significance of the various locations we visited. His explanations were simple but comprehensive. The six hours flew by and included some off-the-beaten opportunities including coffee at a very austere but memorable location near the fish market. I would highly recommend him as well as this tour for anyone with limited time in Tokyo wanting see as much as possible

Great walking tour in Kyoto!
Shoji was a great guide around Kyoto. Even in the rain we were able to visit the shrines/temples we wanted to see. We wished we had started earlier as we would have linke to have seen other things off the beaten path. We ended in Gion and were able to walk around the area. Shoji brought a wealth of knowledge about the area and Japanese culture.

Japan Guide Agency guide Hiro did an excellent job in escorting my wife and I for a day tour to Mt. Koya, from the Osaka Cruise Terminal. We enjoyed the sanctity of the Mt. Koya area, the peaceful shrines, and the forests of tall trees. Hiro had all the transportation well designed-out, and was able to get us back to the Osaka cruise terminal at the time I had requested. Very satisfied with his service.

My wife and I enjoyed not one by TWO full day tours with Hiro, one in Osaka and one in Kyoto. Hiro knows his stuff and passed along a lot of interesting history. In both cases he came prepared with detailed itineraries including public transit times to make sure we hit all the sites we most wanted to see. When rain became a factor in Kyoto, he adjusted our schedule to optimize for the weather – indoors during heaviest rain and outdoors when weather improved. In Kyoto, he warned us away from eating in one tourist area and instead found an amazing noodle shop for lunch, a completely unique experience. In Osaka, when we found one site he had chosen for us closed – the Museum of Housing & Life – he proposed another site that proved to be very nice. We went to the museum on our own the next day and found it fascinating and fun. He also took us to an outstanding okonomikayi place for lunch. Friendly, well-organized and accommodating, we really enjoyed our tours with Hiro.

We spent half a day with Kaeko Tanigawa taking us to Daitoku-ji and Kinkaku-ji temples and Nijo castle in Kyoto. She is very nice, customer-oriented and knowledgeable about Japanese culture and history.

Family Fun Day in Kyoto with young children
Kaeko Tanigawa was fantastic at helping us create a tour that worked for our family with two young children. It was a very hot day, but the air conditioned van was perfect. We loved making ramen together, feeding monkeys, and seeing a few top sites of Kyoto.

Kaeko was absolutely amazing from start to finish, and my husband and I had the best time with her during our honeymoon in Kyoto in April!
