Title: What Can You See on a Private Hiroshima and Miyajima Tour from the Cruise Port? A Licensed Guide's Report The cruise ship arrived at Ujina Port, exactly as indicated on the Hiroshima Port website. As planned, I met the guests at the terminal building, and we took a taxi to the front of the Atomic Bomb Dome. I guided the group through Peace Memorial Park, and during my explanation in front of the Children's Peace Monument, one of the guests was moved to tears. At the museum, the guests read the individual accounts of the atomic bomb survivors with great attention, and I believe they spent a meaningful time there. At the group's request, we visited the Pokémon Center attached to Hiroshima Station, which they were delighted by. In Miyajima, we visited Itsukushima Shrine, Senjokaku, and others, and had okonomiyaki for lunch. Since the Kangensai Festival was being held that evening, we were also able to see the boats being prepared.

    Tour Itinerary

    • 09:00 Meet at the lobby of Hyatt Regency Tokyo. Reconfirmed the previously discussed route, etc., settling on the route of Imperial Palace – Sensoji Temple – Shibuya Scramble – Meiji Shrine – Takeshita Street. After the meeting, went to Shinjuku Station on the Marunouchi Line to head to the Imperial Palace.
    • 09:45-10:45 Got off at National Diet Building Station, showed them the Diet Building, then walked to Sakuradamon. Moved from Sakuradamon to Nijubashi, explained about the Imperial Palace (including the Edo Castle era) and the imperial system, then went to Nijubashimae Station to move to Asakusa. During the guided tour, the parents mentioned that their 9-year-old son Peter wanted to go to the Pokemon Center. It was decided to stop by in Shibuya.
    • 11:10-12:10 Guided them through Sensoji Temple: Kaminarimon – Nakamise Street – Hozomon – Main Hall – Stone Bridge – Asakusa Shrine. After finishing, moved to Shibuya.
    • 12:50-13:45 Guided them at the Shibuya Scramble Crossing, walked through Shibuya Center Street to the Pokemon Center on the 6th floor of PARCO. Since there were no particular shopping requests, the center visit ended smoothly. After finishing, moved to Harajuku.
    • 14:00-14:50 Guided them at Meiji Shrine. When I was about to guide them through Takeshita Street, they said they wanted to prioritize returning to the hotel to pick up their suitcases and moving to the Hilton Tokyo Bay where they were staying that day, so I took them to Hyatt Regency. On the way, at JR Shinjuku Station, I took them to the Saikyo Line platform bound for Shin-Kiba and explained how to get around after we parted.
    • 15:10 Said goodbye at the underground corridor of the west exit of Shinjuku Station.

What's a Private Family-Friendly Day Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Asakusa, Shibuya, and the Pokémon Center The guests were a group visiting Japan from North America. After visiting family destinations abroad, they came to spend time in Tokyo. Their request was to skip lunch and to follow a route we had discussed in advance, so I guided them accordingly. While we were touring Senso-ji Temple, they mentioned that one of the guests wanted to visit the Pokémon Center, so I explained that there is one in Shibuya and offered to take them there after our planned visit to the Scramble Crossing. When I asked why they wanted to go, they explained that many of their relatives and friends love Pokémon, so they wanted to keep up with the conversations. They were not planning to buy anything in particular, and simply seeing the center made them very happy. The guests were going to spend the following two days at Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, and they were very concerned about how to get from Shinjuku to their hotel near the bay. I explained that they could take the Saikyo Line to Shin-Kiba, transfer to the Keiyo Line to Maihama, and then take the hotel shuttle bus that departs every 20 minutes from the Maihama rotary to their hotel. I wrote this out on paper, and before saying goodbye I even took them to the Saikyo Line platform at Shinjuku Station to explain it in person, which put them very much at ease. I had been quite concerned in advance about coping with the extreme summer heat, but on the day the temperature in the city happened to be around 30°C, making the weather comfortable everywhere we went, which was very lucky.

I acquired national guide license in 2014, and I have been doing guide work full fledged since 2016. In my career before starting guide work, I was a business man and made more than 1,000 business trips both abroad and in Japan, and that experience is my foundation as a guide because I came to know so many places both abroad and in Japan. I have been taking care of both group and individual tourists, and the number of foreign guests I have taken care is close to 2,500 so far. I am based in Tokyo, but I can cover guide work in many prefectures throughout Japan. When I take care of foreign guests, my major concern is to listen attentively to them, find out what they want to know and do in Japan, and give them appropriate guiding in accordance with what I heard from my guests. I would like to provide tailor made tour as much as possible for every precious guest who kindly chose Japan as the tour destination.

Meiji Shrine, Asakusa, and Akihabara: A Licensed Guide's Private Tokyo Tour Report Right after meeting, the guests shared that they communicate using sign language, which came as a great surprise. For part of the tour we communicated by typing on a smartphone, but at Meiji Shrine I was able to use voice recognition with a Google Document, which made guiding go a little more smoothly. Even so, since only one of the guests could understand English, a long process was required: speaking into the device, showing the text, and then having it interpreted into sign language for the other guest. It was unfortunate that there had been no advance information at all, either through [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) or directly from the guests. Had there been prior notice, I could have prepared by installing voice recognition software or bringing more printed materials. The voice recognition in the Google Document was surprisingly capable and useful. As for the tour, the plan had been to visit Asakusa and then Akihabara before finishing, but time had run over and there was no request for an extension, so we parted ways in Asakusa. Asakusa took much more time than expected, largely due to photos. I reflected that I should have discussed matters in advance, such as noting that there would be limited time for photos and shopping, and that the tour would end at 14:30 unless they wished to extend.

What's a Full-Day Private Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Asakusa, Yanaka, Nezu Shrine, Meiji Shrine, and Takeshita Street The guests were a group of five friends visiting from Oceania. One of them was not feeling well in the morning and joined the group at lunch near Meiji Shrine. They had arrived in Japan about a week earlier, having toured places such as Hakone and Lake Kawaguchi, and had already spent several days in Tokyo. Today was their final day in Tokyo, and they planned to head to Kyoto and Osaka the next day, with an overall stay in Japan of about two weeks. I guided them through Asakusa, Yanaka, Nezu Shrine, Meiji Shrine, and Takeshita Street. Since they were interested in Japanese history and culture, the itinerary featured many traditional sites. For lunch, we went to Forest Terrace Meiji Jingu, which offered a variety of options to suit different dietary needs. After seeing Takeshita Street in Harajuku, our tour time came to an end, and since they wished to explore places of interest on their own afterward, we parted ways in Harajuku.

What Is a Private Tokyo Walking Tour Like in Summer? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visiting Japan for the first time from North America. This was the beginning of a long trip of more than three weeks, starting in Tokyo and continuing on to Hakone, Kyoto, Hiroshima (as a day trip from Kyoto), and then a visit to Korea before returning home. At the green ticket counter in Tokyo Station, I helped them purchase Shinkansen tickets for their upcoming visits to other regions. It was an extremely hot day, and the guests had been quite surprised by the heat when they arrived the day before — they even emailed to ask whether there was a dress code for visiting shrines and temples. I had told them in advance that, apart from beach sandals, cool summer clothing would be fine, along with various tips for coping with the heat. On the day, however, they were not wearing hats, so in places with no shade, such as the plaza in front of the Imperial Palace, I had them use the parasol I had brought along. Their accommodation, a Hotel, was located near the Kabukicho area, and compared with the surroundings there (some scattered litter in the restaurant streets), the guests remarked that the places we visited on this tour were free of litter and remarkably clean. They seemed to particularly enjoy Shibuya and Harajuku. For lunch, since they were not very hungry after a large breakfast, and since some of the guests wanted to try ramen while others preferred vegan food, we ended up having a somewhat late lunch. When we went to Asakusa, I took them to a restaurant on Denboin-dori, where some of the guests enjoyed vegan ramen while others savored egg ramen and gyoza. As the tour end time came after visiting Senso-ji Temple, I explained how to get to a shojin ryori (Buddhist vegetarian cuisine) restaurant near Tokyo Tower where they had an evening reservation, and we said goodbye in Asakusa.

What Is a Private Kyoto Day Trip from Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests sent their requests in stages beforehand, so I revised the itinerary each time. Since they wanted to buy matcha at a well-known tea shop, we went there at the very start of the tour. Even so, some varieties were sold out, but they bought four cans of matcha and, having been asked by friends to buy various items, purchased quite a lot. It was hot again today, but there were clouds, so it was not as hot as the day before, which was a bit of a relief. This was a day trip from Tokyo, and the guests planned to return to Tokyo on the 8:00 bullet train. Since they wanted halal food for lunch, I made a reservation as we were leaving the bamboo grove. There was a Muslim center nearby, which gave the area a nice atmosphere. Before going to Fushimi Inari, they said they wanted to see the Yasaka Pagoda, so we went right up to it, but they realized they had left a bag at the lunch restaurant, so we went back to retrieve it right away. Usually I check the seats for any left-behind items after the guests have left, but today, while I had stepped outside for a moment to contact a taxi, all the guests came out at once, so I ended up neglecting the lost-item check. I reflected that these things tend to happen at exactly such moments. At the end, we went to Teramachi shopping street and parted ways at the entrance to Nishiki Market.

I’m Ryoichi Kazuma and my nickname is “Kazz”. I live in Kyotanabe city next to Kyoto city. I want guests to enjoy Kyoto by seeing and experiencing not only from outside but also from inside. I offer various information from daily matters to traditional cultures. Most destinations in Kyoto are located on the eastern side or the western side. As I want to guide guests to as many destinations as possible, I make an efficient itinerary and recommend a taxi use to save time. Additionally, I take pictures at various spots and finally share the link to my storage. By doing so, guests can download their favorite pictures from my storage. Please enjoy Kyoto night and day!

What Is a Private One-Day Osaka Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report Today's tour was for a group visiting from Europe. They had just arrived in the Kansai area the day before, so they had many questions for me. At Shitennoji Temple, we walked around quite slowly while talking about topics such as Shinto and Buddhism. After that, we moved to Osaka Castle, but it was extremely hot, so we explored the area while making sure to stay hydrated frequently. Since one of the guests seemed quite tired, we took a taxi from Osaka Castle to Dotonbori. For lunch, they enjoyed okonomiyaki at Chibo. As it was their first day, they seemed very curious about many different things. I believe they had a great time.

What's a Private Osaka Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Kuromon Market, Shinsekai, and Hozenji It was a very hot day, so I gave the guests a cooling neck towel as a gift. They liked it so much that they bought one at a drugstore in Kuromon Market. At Kuromon, they enjoyed buying fruit mochi, white peaches, and candied strawberries. In Shinsekai, I had them try snacks at a local shop, which they also liked and purchased. Their names were a little hard to remember, so I had some difficulty calling them by name, but the group seemed to be having a wonderful time. At Hozenji, they even offered candles and incense. It got a little late, but it seemed they enjoyed themselves.

Bye bye smart phone!! Let’s enjoy Japan without bothering to check up your phone all the time with not AI but a local guide like me. Hi, my name is Mimmy. You may think this sounds like a kitten’s name.
I use this nickname because it sounds cute and easy to remember. However,
I actually look rounded, a middle aged woman more like a yellow character of M&Mchocolate, which reminds you of my name easily when you see me.
I was born in Osaka, went to school in Kobe, went to work in Kyoto and married but still live in Osaka. I am a local, native Osakan. My 3 children are all grown up and live separately except one son. Now I live with one son and a husband in suburbs of the Osaka city.
I like travelling, walking around the town and anything new.
I got my guide license in 2017 and started guiding after that. I wasn’t able to work during Covid period but start guiding in 2022 again. I guide Osaka, Kyoto, Nara and Kobe and have experienced more than100 tours including bus tours.
I would like to tell you about the itineraries I usually have in each area.
In Osaka, we usually go to Osaka castle, Shinsekai and Dotonbori Namba area.
I think most important part you should see is Dotonbori Namba in Osaka.
This place is vibrant , energetic, full of 3D signs and different from any other place in Japan.
In Kyoto, we cannot see all famous sightseeing spots in one day.
It will be better to visit each area respectively. I recommend guests who come to Kyoto first time to visit East area, Kiyomizu Temple>Sannenzaka>Ninenzaka>Ishibeikouji>Yasaka shrine> Gion area. This area has an atmosphere of traditional old Kyoto. The most Kyoto like places which suit Kimono. You can rent Kimono in a lot of places around here.
The second place I recommend you is West area: Golden temple and Arashiyama area where Bamboo forest , Tenryuji temple, mountains and a river. There are several nice gardens in this area. If you want to enjoy the nature quietly, you
should come here when it is not crowded (Winter is the most quiet)
In Nara which used to be a capital even older than Kyoto, we visit Todaiji Temple where a huge Buddha is sitting inside of one of the largest wooden hall and you can play with deer everywhere in Nara. Naramachi: a small town in this area is a local place where small interesting shops are.
In Kobe, a port city, you can visit Japanese Sake breweries, Herb garden and the top of Mt.Rokko for viewing Kobe city. A small China town is there, too.

Now I bet you want to leave home to explore somewhere else you do not know.
Not only going to somewhere else, we can help you to do several experiences: making tea, making Japanese sweet, making Takoyaki(food), wearing Kimono, making food samples, attending a tea ceremony, throwing Shriken like Ninja, Using bow and arrow like Samurai, , , ,
I am very happy indeed if I can help you find things impressive enough and have once in a life time experience during our tour.
I am looking forward to sharing a good time with you.

What Is a Private Kanazawa Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from Europe on their first trip to Japan. Some of the guests were studying Japanese. They were very interested in Japanese culture and asked many questions throughout the tour, and it seemed they had researched a great deal in advance, which made answering them enjoyable. They had also researched Kanazawa beforehand and chose it as one of the destinations for this trip, and they were quite fond of the atmosphere, size, and comfortable feel of the city. They mentioned that a small bar next to their accommodation was a particular favorite.

Title: What Is a Private Hakone Day Tour from Kyoto Like on a Foggy Day? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests came directly from Kyoto and must have been tired from sightseeing, but they kindly stayed cheerful and engaged throughout the tour. At the Hakone Open-Air Museum, we were able to take some pleasant group photos, but the ropeway ride was entirely enveloped in thick fog, leaving almost zero visibility. At Owakudani, we could only faintly hear the sound of the volcanic vents. In addition, the pirate ship service to Moto-Hakone was suspended due to the dense fog, and only the route between Togendai and Hakonemachi Port was operating. I had the guests take photos of the red torii gate within the range visible from the ship. Since they mentioned they would be leaving the Hotel in the afternoon the next day, and the weather forecast looked better than today (expected to be an improvement over today's heavy fog), I suggested that, at their own discretion, they could visit Moto-Hakone in the morning by taking a bus from near the Hotel, and I also asked the Hotel staff to assist them accordingly.

I am Hiroki Morikawa :Hiro:, English guide living with my wife ,just a hop skip and jump from Hakone, Kamakura, Tokyo and the Mt. Fuji.
I am a friendly grandfather of 4 grandchildren.
I would love to help you enjoy Japan, using my 3 strong points.
First: I am used to dealing with any kind of matters. I have experienced various situations in the 40 years of my working life.
Second: I am good at making a friendly atmosphere between you and local people to help you enjoy Japan. I was raised in western Japan, studied in northern Japan and now live in central Japan. So I know various local cultures and dialects to communicate with a wide variety of people.
Third: I can explain things from a technical point of view.
For example, how the Great Buddha was constructed, because I am a master of engineering graduated from Hokkaido University.
Please enjoy Japan with me. See you soon!!
