What Is a 6-Hour Private Tokyo Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were visitors from Europe who planned to visit Tokyo, Hiroshima, and Kyoto. Since there were no particular requests in advance, I asked about their preferences after meeting up and guided them in the order mentioned above. Because they wanted to check the transfer at Tokyo Station before traveling to Hiroshima, I took them to Tokyo Station at the end of the tour, where we parted ways. Although not as much as the previous day, it was very hot and humid this day as well, so we took breaks somewhat forcibly while going around, and we completed the 6-hour tour without any problems. They commented that they were able to learn a lot about Japanese history, culture, and religion, and that they had a wonderful time.

Hi, I am Nobu, a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter (English).
I have been an English guide in Tokyo area since January 2017.
Tokyo is a wonderful city, and you may enjoy this city by yourselves.
Even so, I recommend you go around with a guide, especially if it is your first time visit to Tokyo.
A good guide will help you to understand about Tokyo and Japan as well as how to use convenient but complicated public transportations more effectively.
I am glad if I can help you to make your tour more enjoyable.
I am looking forward to meeting you in Tokyo soon!

What Is a Private Kyoto Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting from North America. One of them had been studying Japanese for three years and had long wanted to visit Japan, which is what led to this trip. The group was very knowledgeable about Buddhism and had really wanted to see the Buddhist statues at Sanjusangendo Temple. They were quite disappointed that photography was not allowed there. It seemed to be a very meaningful Kyoto trip for the group, which I was glad to see.

What Is a Private Osaka Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Osaka Castle, Umeda Sky Building, and Dotonbori The guests were visitors from Oceania. One of the guests had some difficulty walking and moved at quite a slow pace. Neither of them seemed to have a particular interest in each individual sightseeing spot. However, one of the guests appeared to enjoy photography and was actively taking pictures not only of the main spots but also of the streets and shopping arcades. In addition to the walking difficulty, the heat of the day seemed to have left one of the guests tired, so they took breaks partway through at both Osaka Castle and the Umeda Sky Building. As a result, I ended up guiding only one of the guests. I presented a handmade drawstring pouch made by my sister, which was very well received. Not exactly in return, but I was given a cute koala. In the end, one of the guests was tired and wanted to have lunch, so after I introduced a few restaurants in Dotonbori, we parted ways.

    Dear my guests,

This is (Mr.) Yama, greeting from Kobe, Japan.
I would like to warmly welcome you to Japan this time. I am from the city of Kobe, which is of course, well-known for very tasty Kobe Beef . You can taste
real genuine Kobe Beef here. Kobe is also called “Home of Japanese Sake” with lots of Sake breweries, and I recommend you would visit those breweries
if you have any interest in Japanese Sake as well as one aspect of Japanese cultures. Of course, you can have tastings of various kinds of Sake there.

Whenever during the tour, I always try to make it safe, pleasant and comfortable for all of the guests, which is my first priority. I am very much confident
that you can have a pleasant and unforgettable experience in Japan. Just tell me about your preference; what you would like to like to see, have, know
and eat and so on. Particularly, I hold the license for cooking qualified by the government here and maybe, I can reply you for questions related to the
foods here. In this respect, I strongly recommend you would try not only famous Japanese cuisine such as Sushi, Tempura or Suki-yaki but some
Japanese traditional local foods, like Tako-yaki, Okonomi-yaki and Kushkatsu. They are sometimes called the soul foods of Japan. Here is the brief
    explanation for these three foods.

    1) Tako-yaki
Tako-yaki is a snack filled with pieces of octopus in a batter of flour , egg and soup stock. You can call them octopus dumplings or balls. “Tako” means
octopus and “yaki” means grilled or broiled.
    2) Okonomi-yaki
This word Okonomi-yaki means “cook just as you like” and you can use whatever you like as toppings, such as beef, pork, shrimp, squid and octopus.
Okonomi-yaki is round shape and just like pancakes or pizza in shape mainly made from egg, flour and water.
    3) Kushi-katsu
Kushi-katsu is skewered cutlet or deep-fried foods on a stick. “Kushi” means skewer and “katsu” means cutlet. Various kinds of foods are used for
ingredients such as beef, pork, chicken, shrimp, squid, octopus and lots of kinds of vegetables.

Actually, the western Japan including Osaka, Kobe and Himeji is called as “Home of such local soul foods”. You should give it a try and I am sure
that you like them very much.

I sincerely hope that I can be your tour guide this time in Kobe, Osaka and Himeji. If my guests said to me after the tour, “I have had a very good
and pleasant time with you today. I hope I can come here again and name you as our guide”, which is my great pleasure. Moreover, I would be
great honored if they say “I like Japan now thanks to you”.

Looking forward to meeting you soon here.
    Doomo Arigato Gozaimasu!

Title: What's a Private One-Day Kyoto Tour with a Licensed Guide Like? A Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting Kyoto for the first time from Europe. I took them to Fushimi Inari Taisha, Kinkaku-ji, and the Kyoto Imperial Palace. Since their hotel was in Arashiyama, we traveled from there by contracted car to Fushimi Inari, Kinkaku-ji, and the Imperial Palace, which took quite a lot of time. In the morning, the sunlight was not too harsh, so I believe the group enjoyed the tour, but from the afternoon the heat became intense, and since there was no shade at the Imperial Palace, it became a somewhat demanding tour. Some of the guests especially liked Fushimi Inari, while others were fond of the garden at the Imperial Palace.

My name is (Mr.)Michiharu Aioi and I worked at Electronic Manufacturing Company (Panasonic) for more than 40 years in charge of overseas sales.
I learned a lot in these 40 years and now I would like to contribute to the promotion of mutual understanding with foreign countries being involved in tourism busines utilizing my long experience in my previous company. I will do my best to make each trip very fruitful for each foreign visitor.
As for my language ability, in addition to English, I can speak Spanish which I used in my job and I can communicate with Chinese people with intermediate level. Finally It is my great pleasure if my activity could work in the mutual understang with foreign visitors. Thanks a Lot !

Title: What Is a Private Nagasaki History and Atomic Bomb Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report Initially the guests said they did not need to visit the atomic bomb sites since they would be stopping in Hiroshima as a port of call, so the plan was to focus on Nagasaki's exotic history and culture. However, one day before the tour, the guests said they wanted to visit the atomic bomb sites after all, so I took them there as well. At the Nagasaki Museum of History and Culture, the guests viewed the exhibits with great interest, and I provided supplementary explanations. I made an effort to convey Nagasaki's history in a way that could be understood as a coherent story. Since they would visit the atomic bomb sites afterward, I also offered information that would likely come up there. At the atomic bomb sites, the guests wanted to know the differences between Hiroshima and Nagasaki, so I explained the differences in the type of atomic bombs, the fact that the damage was more limited compared to Hiroshima for geographical reasons, and the reasons why there is no remaining structure like the Atomic Bomb Dome. I also connected this with what I had discussed at the Museum of History and Culture, talking about Nagasaki's history and the influence of the history of the atomic bombing. The guests seemed satisfied, and they even gave me a tip, which made me very happy.

Hello, I’m Rikako, but please call me Coco. It would be my absolute pleasure to show you around my hometown of Nagasaki. Having performed in the Nagasaki Kunchi Festival in my childhood, I developed a deep interest in history and cultural exchange. This motivated me to become a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter during my university years. Since then, I have gained valuable experience—from assisting ambassadors at the Nagasaki Peace Memorial Ceremony to handling a wide variety of tours, including private and coach tours, site inspections, international conference support, and VIP hospitality.
Explaining about Nagasaki’s history and culture is the most important to me. It is not only about this. I would love to provide genuine care so that your time in Nagasaki remains in your heart forever.
I’m truly looking forward to guiding you in Nagasaki 🙂

Following the itinerary I had proposed in advance, we proceeded through Nagoya Castle, Tokugawaen Garden, and the Shikemichi area in that order, making for a rich and full 4-hour tour. Some of the guests enjoyed shopping, so along with the shops at Nagoya Castle and Tokugawaen Garden, they also enjoyed shopping at stores in the historic Shikemichi area and along the Endoji shopping street, such as the Shikemichi Glass Hall and a local shop. Since some of the guests found going up and down stairs difficult, I made sure to use elevators and escalators as much as possible to reduce the strain, so that everyone could enjoy the tour comfortably.

What Is a Private Nara Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report Today I guided a group visiting from North America. They mentioned they would also be visiting Kyoto, Osaka, and Tokyo. The group included someone visiting Japan for the second time, someone who had studied Japanese history, and someone who loves Japanese anime and speaks Japanese well. Over lunch, they shared many stories about their home region and about animals. They seemed very interested in the armor and helmets at the Kasuga Taisha National Treasure Museum and took their time viewing them. They were able to meet many deer, and all of them greatly enjoyed feeding them. We visited Nigatsu-do and the Great Buddha Hall, and it was nice that it was not too crowded. At Isuien Garden, we were able to hear valuable stories from a gardener. They also seemed very interested in the Naramachi traditional townhouse, and I believe they enjoyed it very much.

Title: What's a Private One-Day Tokyo Culture and History Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report The guests were a group visiting from North America. They had arrived the previous day. In the evening, they reportedly joined a food tour and had okonomiyaki in Kabukicho. Today's focus was learning how to use SUICA on an iPhone, along with studying the history of Tokyo and cultural topics such as Shinto and Buddhism. They mentioned they would visit Mount Fuji the next day, though the route was unclear. After that, they planned to visit places such as Kyoto and Nara in the Kansai region. Today, the guests had already made a reservation for dinner during the tour and wanted to finish in Shibuya, which was also on my way home, so I accompanied them all the way to Shibuya. It seems tonight they were headed to a conveyor-belt sushi restaurant. Since dinner was already arranged, we skipped lunch and replaced it with a coffee break at the Starbucks in front of the Imperial Palace. Today was an extremely hot day at 36 degrees. Even though the guests came from a hot region, they found it overwhelming. In any case, I encouraged them to stay hydrated, and each of them drank two to three bottles of water. All in all, I was relieved to finish the tour without any trouble.

I had worked in the international business scene for over 40 years and traveled to North America and European countries over 1000 days.
After I retired from the business, I traveled to most of the major sightseeing spots in all 47 prefectures in Japan.

My guide is starting from a brief history of the site where I am going to guide. I usually add a briefing about Japanese culture based on religions, such as Shinto Shrine and Buddhist temples. A geographic background behind the history is also important.
    My course includes 4 to 5 (in 6 hours) sites from the following depending on where I will pick the guests up;
    – Senso ji Temple
    – Kappabashi Kitchenware Market
    – Tokyo Skytree
    – Ueno Park
    – Nezu Shrine
    – Imperial Palace outer park

I am happy to introduce Japanese Manga/Anime cultures such as Akihabara, Nakano Broadway and Ghibli related sites.
Travelling along the JR central line where guests can stopover at major animation studios (it is not accepted to visit the inside). The majority of animation studios such as TMS Entertainment, SUNRISE, A1 Pictures etc. are located in this area. Suginami Animation museum, Studio Ghibli and Ghibli Museum are also located.
Guests can feel old houses in the Spirited Away scene in the Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum.

I can also provide a pilgrimage to the sacred place (shooting location) for the Shinkai Makoto animation movies such as Your name, Weathering with you, and Suzume.

Another interesting feature is to visit authentic Japanese style pub meals such as Yakitori, Karaage, and Sushi etc.
Asakusa Hoppy Street, Ameyoko Street, Yurakucho, Shimbashi, Shinjuku Golden gai, Shinjuku Omoide Yokocho are nice to visit.

A Sake tasting at Sake Cellar can be an option.

In addition to the above, I am available in the neighboring cities.

Kawagoe is an old town developed in the 17th century. It has very close relationship with the Edo central government. Kawagoe castle ruins, Kitain temple and 500 Buddha statues will welcome the guests.
These areas are renovated and provide an old days atmosphere.
Japanese style sweets food stands will fascinate the guests.
Kawagoe is about 1 – 1.5 train trip from Tokyo.

Kamakura is the first Samurai worriers government established in the late 12th century.
The Buddhism are introduced to Japan in the 6th century, and flourished at Nara and Kyoto later. A newer Buddhism sect such as Zen has well developed at Kamakura area.
Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, Gigantic Buddha statue at Kotokuin Temple and the flower temple Hasedera Temple are must-see.
Kamakura is about 1 – 1.5 train trip from Tokyo.

I am also happy to develop any other site the guests have interest.

What Is a First Day of a Private Tokyo Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Toyosu Market and Sushi [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) guide led the first day of an approximately ten-day private tour for guests visiting Japan for the first time from North America. Since the guests were also planning to visit the Kansai region, the tour began with an overview of Japanese history in general, not just Tokyo. After the guests had gained an understanding of the outline of Tokyo's central market at Toyosu Market, we enjoyed an early sushi lunch. The guests were surprised at how delicious the smaller lunch set was. For the transfer from Toyosu to Tsukiji, we took the "Yurikamome" line, and from the front car, which weaves between the futuristic buildings of the city, the guests were able to fully enjoy the scenery.

What Is a Private Mount Fuji Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Chureito Pagoda and Oshino Hakkai The guests were a group visiting from North America. The warmth and care shown toward the group was very evident, and it was a pleasure to guide them. Because I had received detailed requests by email in advance, we were able to proceed through the itinerary smoothly on the day. The weather was perfectly clear, and Mount Fuji was beautifully visible. The guests were delighted to see spectacular views of Mount Fuji both from Chureito Pagoda and from Oshino Hakkai. When I gave them a folding fan and a Japanese tenugui cloth as souvenirs, they were very pleased. As they planned to climb Mount Fuji the following day, this was a day in between, and they kindly told me that it had been a wonderful experience and expressed their gratitude. Overall, I believe they were very satisfied.
